The COVID-19 pandemic news is positive but first let’s get
the bad news out of the way. Triple-vaccinated Justin Bieber, the 27-year old
pop singer, is sick with omicron after the San Diego show and must postpone
upcoming gigs starting with Las Vegas. Oh no, baby, baby, baby, oooh. Keystone
has to return the tickets and is disappointed that he will not see his 41st Justin
show and not have a chance to show the singer the baseball cap-donning Bieber tattoo
on his right buttock cheek.
Each day it is another triple-vaccinated celebrity or
politician contracting omicron. Maybe they need the booster-booster fourth shot?
The breakthrough cases are as common as the snow in Canada this time of year.
The other Canadian Justin, King Trudeau, is also not doing well. Justin must be
a popular boy’s name in Canada. Dictator Trudeau forever sullied Canada with
his tyrannical crushing of the Freedom Convoy that was peacefully demonstrating
against vaccine mandates. Canada, the once great land up North, must now and
forever hang its head in shame.
Tyrant Trudeau changes Canada into a police-state over a
silly vaccine mandate. Go figure. That dude has mental issues. No one ever told
him that, as a leader, you should choose your battles more carefully. Instead
of working out a solution with the truckers, Trudeau uses force to vacate the
peaceful demonstrators. A cop on horseback tramples and injures a Native Indian
woman; not a good look for Canada. The parliament building in Ottawa is
surrounded with fences, barriers and cops. Only workers are allowed into the
area. Your papers, please.
Canada stumbles backwards into tyranny under King Trudeau’s
dictatorial rule, soiling its once-noble history forever. It is nutso stuff
because little Justin did not want to reverse his vaccine mandate that is no
longer needed. Many Canucks likely do not yet understand the damage done to
their nation over the last month that will create division and animosity in the
Canadian population for decades forward. Canada joins the ranks of dirtbag
nations.
In the United States, the Peoples Convoy, also protesting
the draconian mask and vaccine mandates, as well as government overreach, is
set to leave California tomorrow headed to Washington, DC. A fence is being
erected around the Capitol (more taxpayer money flushed down the toilet) to
deter truckers that may cause a commotion when President Biden is giving the
State of the Union address on Tuesday, 3/1/22, a week from now.
The drama with the Freedom Convoy in Canada may be subsiding
slightly, but the Peoples Convoy in the US takes their baton and will carry
this freedom scroll across America, delivering the message of liberty and
freedom from government tyranny. The corrupt Washington, DC, politicians are
going to receive an ear-full next week.
Americans are getting on with life. Americans are on the happytrain bound for glory convinced that the worst of COVID-19 is in the rearview
mirror. The vaccines, boosters and booster-boosters are available on every
street corner. The GlaxoSmithKline (GSK; Glaxo) Sotrovimab monoclonal antibody
(mAb) treatment and Pfizer Paxlovid anti-viral oral pills work on the Omicron
Variant although supplies remain thin. People are feeling comfortable with the
options and willing to take on more risk.
More good news. Eli Lilly’s Bebtelovimab, say that 5 times
fast without stuttering, a new mAb treatment that is effective against the BA2
Omicron Subvariant, receives FDA approval on 2/11/22. Sleepy Joe is not
sleeping on the job this time, as he was with the GSK mAb treatments and Pfizer
Paxlovid pills, already ordering 600K doses of Bebtelovimab with shipping to
begin immediately.
The Whitehouse deserves credit since Pittsburgh hospitals
report that the Bebtelovimab is in their hands last Saturday and ready for use
for whoever needs it. Sleepy Joe, the ole crow, will probably crow about
Bebtelovimab in the State of the Union speech on 3/1/22, as he should, but the
stutter-prone Biden will likely not attempt to pronounce the new Eli Lilly
monoclonal antibody treatment’s name.
The United States daily cases chart is shown above. The US
reports only 28K daily new cases yesterday, Monday, 2/21/22. The 3-day MA is
down to 38K cases per day and continues printing lower lows and lower highs
maintaining the downward trend; fantastic news. The 7-day MA (not shown in
chart) is down to 82K cases per day falling like a rock and will continue to do
so since the case numbers are small from Saturday through Monday.
America is on the mend and looking great. The US receives
the ice pick to the eye with daily cases topping-out at 904K cases on 1/13/22
now 5 weeks in the rearview mirror. Interestingly, the South Africa omicron
daily cases chart pattern was 2 weeks up and 2 weeks down. The US is 4 weeks up
and 5 weeks down or 4 up and 4 down if you will, twice as long. Did America see
the extra impact of the BA2 Omicron Subvariant intermixed with the initial
B11529 (BA1) Botswana/South Africa Omicron Variant?
Scientists say it is difficult to detect BA2 and there is no
standard test procedure as yet so the numbers may be skewed in one direction or
the other. The BA2 impacting Americans at the same time as BA1 would explain
why the US daily cases curve took extra time to create the skinny inverted V
pattern and would also explain why the US does not see a new wild spike higher
in cases that are BA2 right now.
The US active cases curve is shown above continuing to roll
over and form the bell shape ringing-in Good Times ahead. Active cases peak at
over 29 million cases on 1/31/22 and are now down to 27 million and dropping.
About 8% of Americans, 1 in 12, have COVID-19 right now or are experiencing
lingering symptoms or long-covid. The positive takeaway is that the active
cases should plummet and perhaps test the 10 million active cases level and
lower in March and April.
The hospitals should be experiencing dropping COVID-19
caseloads each day, and they are. Perhaps the greedy bastards that manage
hospitals should rethink their business plans where there are only a handful of
empty beds available at any given time. Isn’t it rich for a hospital to operate
lean and mean so they can put the maximum amount of money in their greedy pockets
and then blame the public when the system is overwhelmed? It is sickening crony
capitalism; be glad it is in its last throes.
The US active cases are expected to drop off sharply from here
completing the bell shape and the talk of overwhelmed hospitals will disappear
in the rearview mirror. The dropping active cases chart forming the coveted
bell shape verifies that the virus is being officially defeated.
Preparations are needed for the June-July period, only 4
months away, when the southern states will likely see a new wave of infections.
Hopefully, it will be so miniscule it will not be worth noting, however, it has
potential to be another hassle for the hospitals during the late summer months
in Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri and other southern states.
In June and July, the oppressive heat and humidity chases
people indoors to the air conditioning where they breathe each other’s air.
Similarly, in the northern states, a pop in viral infections and flu starts in
the September-November period as folks spend more time in the warm indoors
escaping the chilly Autumn air. Will Americans be ready for more shots? It will
be the booster-booster-booster jab and one year from now it may be time for the
booster-booster-booster-booster sixth shot. The vaccines, that are really not
vaccines, have become a caricature of themselves.
The US daily deaths chart is shown above. 294 Americans lose
their lives to China Virus yesterday a low number but it was the President’s
Day holiday. The 7-day MA trend line for US deaths is down to 1.66K deaths per
day and dropping nicely. The US is on the right track as the supplies of
Glaxo’s Sotrovimab mAb treatment, Pfizer’s Paxlovi pills and Eli Lilly’s
Bebtelovimab mAb treatment increase at hospitals and clinics. Lives will be
saved.
Maine’s daily new cases chart is shown above. What is going

Maine reports 5,027 daily new cases yesterday the most ever
a blowout number. Its neighbors Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts are on
the mend and do not indicate the same horrific trouble as Maine. It appears the
data reporting may be skipping weekend days but even so, the case numbers are
in a parabolic spike. More troubling, is Maine reporting 50 deaths yesterday
the most ever! What is happening in Maine?
Florida’s active cases chart is shown above. The bell shape
is forming forecasting bright skies for the Sunshine State. Florida will have
to remain vigilant for a rise in cases in June-July as the sweltering heat
chases people indoors. Perhaps this summer, coronavirus will not be so bad.
The United States is in good shape except for the
abomination that is Maine. The CDC and Whitehouse need to immediately throw
resources into the Maine to find out the story on the big virus outbreak. 49 states are happy but Maine is scary.
The world’s daily new cases chart is shown above. The skinny
inverted V pattern, the ice pick, plays out nicely for the world as it has for
each nation. The world’s cases drop to 1.3 million yesterday and the 7-day MA
is down to 1.77 million cases per day dropping like a rock. The already rosy
picture will improve even more as the Southeast Asia nations work through their
omicron waves.
The world’s daily deaths chart is shown above. 6.4K people
on the planet die from China Flu yesterday. The 7-day MA is coming down nicely,
sub 10k now, to 9.4K bodies per day. Coffin demand remains robust. The casket
makers and funeral director’s high-five one another as they dance a jig under
the light of the full moon.
Denmark’s active cases chart is forming the coveted bell
shape to prove that the virus is being defeated and hospitals can catch a
break. Denmark is the world’s poster child for the BA2 Omicron Subvariant so
the rolling over of the active cases curve is reason to celebrate and throw
confetti.
Vietnam’s daily new cases chart is shown above. Southeast
Asia is the COVID-19 global hot zone. Vietnam reports over 47K daily new cases
a new record high. The 7-day MA trend line is parabolic at over 40K cases per
day. Vietnam is ugly along with southern China and Hong Kong.
Hong Kong’s daily new cases chart is shown above. Hong Kong
reports over 7.5K daily new cases yesterday another record high. It’s ugly.
Hospitals are overrun. Mainland China is concerned as cases increase in Hong
Kong and Vietnam. 20 people die in Hong Kong on Friday the most ever and the
total death count hits 300 a grim milestone. There are plans to test all 7.5 million
residents three times over the next month. Newly-turned communist Hong Kong is a
covid-infected nest.
Thailand’s daily new cases chart is shown above. Thailand
reports 19K daily new cases yesterday the most ever and the 7-day MA is
parabolic at 18K cases per day. It’s ugly. The tourism industry is Thailand’s
life line. The wealthy silver-haired white guys on the flights to Bangkok, that
stick out like sore thumbs among the short oriental folks, have to postpone
their erotic trips. Otherwise, they will get a twofer in Thailand; COVID-19 along
with the STD.
South Korea’s daily new cases chart is shown above. The
troubled nation reports 103K daily new cases on Friday the most ever. The 7-day
MA for daily new cases is over 93K cases per day. The chart is hinting at
topping-out right now. South Korea needs a break.
New Zealand’s daily new cases chart is shown above. New
Zealand reports 2,230 daily new cases yesterday the most ever. The 7-day MA
trend line is parabolic at 1.7K cases per day. It is ugly but smart and pretty Prime
Minister Jacinda Ardern is forging ahead with relaxing the COVID-19 mandates.
The border is opening although foreign travelers must isolate for 7 days.
Obviously, Jacinda sees the horror show in Canada and does
not want to go the route of tyranny like Dictator Trudeau. Canada’s handling of
the peaceful Freedom Convoy protesters is a historic debacle and Trudeau will
forever wear the Scarlet Letter ‘F’ upon his chest representing his distaste and
hatred for freedom. Some Trudeau detractors will say the scarlet letter can
represent other words as well.
Ardern did not fall off the apple, er kiwi, cart yesterday.
She does not want that Canadian taint to occur on her or on New Zealand. A
country can destroy its reputation and desired vacation destination in a
heartbeat pulling that tyrannical and authoritarian crap like King Cry-Baby Trudeau.
Back in the United States, the CDC COVID-19 Data Trackershows US hospitalizations at 68K from 2/13/22 data that is now 9 days old.
Isn’t it sickening? The CDC and Whitehouse are basing decisions on data that is
a week or two old. It is a disgrace; it is American Mediocrity. COVID-19
hospitalizations are likely below 40K now if the CDC ever decides to update
their data.
Hospital admissions continue plummeting so hospitalizations
are guaranteed to continue lower, if the data is ever updated. The vaccinationdata shows 88% of the US population 18 years old and older have at least onedose. Mix in the kids under 18 years old that are not at serious risk from
China Flu and add the people that had COVID-19 that have natural antibodies,
and that is a tasty recipe for pandemic success.
75% of Americans 18 years old and older are fully vaccinated
which is defined as 2 shots that do not do much of anything for you after 5 or
6 months (but the peanut gallery yells out that the shots prevent serious
illness and death). Call the multiple mRNA shots what they are; death
prevention jabs rather than a vaccine. It is easy to be truthful because then
you do not have to spend life wondering if you will be twisted-up in one of the
lies.
93 million Americans have received their booster shot which
is the third shot of the mRNA death prevention series. This equates to 28%, or
1 in every 3.5 people, call it 2 in 7, Americans that are triple-vaccinated and
comically they appear to contract China Virus at the same pace as everyone else
(the shots are not vaccines that prevent infection and/or transmission but
instead the multiple jabs help prevent dying from coronavirus).
CDC Director Dr Walensky will not change the meaning of
fully vaccinated from the two initial shots to the three-shot regimen (2
initial shots plus the booster) because the Americans fully vaccinated would
immediately drop from 75% to 28%; this is bad political optics for Sleepy Joe
Biden.
The US vaccination rate is down to 396K doses per day, sub400K, and this data is from 2/14/22 now 8 days old. Wake up over there. Is
anyone working at the CDC? The vax rate is down to the low levels that occurred
when vaccines first rolled out in December 2020 and January 2021. People have
lost interest in the jabs since the information has been a chaotic and
confusing mess from the start.
Since the CDC bashing is in full swing, a few more slaps
will not matter. The US county map can be a useful and important tool forAmerica. Imposing and removing pandemic restrictions should be done on a
county, not state, level since the economy will be less effected. But, for the
umpteenth time, the data has to be updated in real time (only a day behind at
any given time). Otherwise, using any data metrics to make decisions is folly.
It is like driving a car forward while looking in the rearview mirror.
Interest in vaccinations is waning as the production increases
for monoclonal antibody treatments and anti-viral oral pills. The doctors and
talking heads keep telling people to get vaccinated anyway and do not rely on
mAb treatment or pills. People are skeptical. Many Americans are questioning
the mRNA vaccines especially if under 50 years old where the threat from covid is
lessened.
The Whitehouse and CDC have their work cut out for them
encouraging people to get the initial shots, the booster shot, maybe a
booster-booster fourth shot, and then maybe a seasonal coronavirus shot in September
or October along with the annual flu shot. As they say in the Bronx, “Good luck
wit dat.”
The USA has the greatest number of total coronavirus casesin the world at 80 million. India is next with 43 million total virus cases. Brazil,
France, UK, Russia, Germany, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Argentina and Iran round out
the top dozen on the ugly list. Germany worsens leapfrogging Turkey. The
Deutschland jumped in front of Italy 10 days ago and leapfrogged Spain 3 weeks
ago.
COVID-19 has infected 427 million people worldwide. 5.9 million
people are dead from the China Flu. 354 million global citizens have recovered
from China Flu. 83% (354/427) of the people that become infected with COVID-19
recover in a reasonable time frame. This percentage had been at 90% to 92% for
many months, and then dropped to 80% for a couple months now rebounding to 83%.
People are not recovering as fast from COVID-19 as one year
ago despite all the vaccines available around the world. About 20% of the
people that contract coronavirus (1 in 5) have lingering health effects such as
long-covid or die.
Worldwide, 1.4% (5.9/427) of the people that are infected
with covid die; 1 in 72. This number sat at 2.1%-2.2% for many months but
trends lower for the last 4 months to 1.4%. The vaccinations and natural
immunities are helping to lower the world’s death rate albeit by small increments.
If people are not dying as much and taking longer to recover, if they recover, it
hints that long-covid cases may be increasing.
5.6% (427/7670) of the world’s population of 7.67 billion
people have been infected with coronavirus; 1 in every 18 people on earth. This
was 1 in every 24 people only a month ago! Will it be 1 in every 15 people next
week? This behavior verifies the contagiousness of the Omicron variant.
0.08% of the world’s population (5.9/7670) died from the
pandemic; 1 in every 1,300 people on earth died from China Virus.
In the United States, 80 million people are infected with covid.
960K Americans are dead. 52 million Americans have recovered from coronavirus. This
equates to 65% (52/80) of US citizens recovering after becoming infected with COVID-19.
The recovery percentage has been between 76% and 84% for much of last year but
over the last 4 months drops to the 61% to 65% range. The recovery percentage
is also dropping for the world as shown above. Vaccines have not improved the
recovery percentage.
America’s rampant obesity problem has greatly added to
deaths, hospitalizations and long-covid problems. If you are overweight or obese,
and unvaccinated, call your doctor. For the last 2 years, people have put off
medical procedures so their bodies are weaker. China Flu kills the old and the
fat.
In the US, 1.2% (960/80000) of the people infected with COVID-19
die. This number was sticky at 1.6% to 1.8% for many months but has sagged to
1.2% over the last 4 months. 1 in every 83 US citizens that are infected with coronavirus
die. 0.29% (960/330000) of Americans have died from COVID-19 which is 1 in
every 344 Americans.
24% (80/330) of the American population of 330 million
people have been infected with covid; 1 in every 4 Americans. The minority
communities are impacted disproportionately. The 24% that now have natural
immunities solidly contribute towards developing herd immunity. The numbers for natural immunity are likely
far higher than reported. Many Americans had covid at home and never saw a
doctor or reported the illness and they have some level of natural antibody
protection.
The United States has 19% (80/427) of the COVID-19 cases in
the world. 1 in 5 people that become infected with covid on planet earth are
Americans. The US vaccination program made an impact month’s ago, but not so
much in recent weeks and months. This percentage was 22% about 11 months ago so
it is flatlining for a long time.
The US accounts for 16% (960/5900) of the China Flu deaths
in the world. 1 in 6 people that die from COVID-19 around the world are Americans.
9 months ago, it was 1 in 5. The numbers are stalled at the same level for the
last few months.
The Keystone Speculator Coronavirus Infection Rate Model,
the Keystone Model for short, is a simple model that predicts when the active
cases chart curves will flatten-out and roll-over lower. The active cases chart
is the ‘flatten the curve’ chart that represents the maximum stress and strain on
the medical system and healthcare workers. Once the active cases chart rolls
over forming the bell shape, the virus is being defeated and healthcare workers
can breathe easier.
The Keystone Model uses the peak in the daily new cases to
forecast the peak and flattening of the active cases curve. The ‘flattening of
the curve’ only pertains to the active cases chart. For communist nations where
the populations must do what they are told or they receive a bullet in their
heads (China), and for smaller authoritarian nations (Eastern European
countries, Africa and Middle East nations), and many Asian nations where
citizens follow government rules without questioning authority (South Korea,
Japan, Singapore, Australia), the active cases curve will peak, on average, 11
days after the peak in daily new cases.
For the Western countries, such as the US and European
nations, the so-called free societies, the active cases curve will peak, on average,
28 days after the peak in new cases. It takes about 2 weeks longer for a free
society to tamp down a virus wave than a communist or authoritarian state
because lockdowns are not strictly followed or enforced.
All projections below for countries and the US states
continue to use the 11 and 28-day periods for forecasting for consistency. When
the peak in daily new cases occurs, if a subsequent day is within 8% of that
peak top, it is identified as the peak in daily new cases day in reference to
the Keystone Model.
The peak in the daily new cases is easily seen on the bar
charts provided by Worldometer, the CDC and Johns-Hopkins. The daily new cases
bar charts are shown on television news channels with a 7-day moving average
(MA) line which is a smoothing mechanism that identifies the trend.
An update for The Keystone Model is provided since another
10-day period passes and more data and information become available to push the
Wuhan Flu story forward. The Coronavirus Chronology identifies the real-time
hotspots occurring around the world and within the United States. The
chronology serves as a historical document that will be referenced for decades
to come by those that want to experience the entire pandemic as it unfolds in
real-time.
With the pandemic hopefully subsiding and entering an
endemic phase, the Coronavirus Chronology articles may end soon. If the country
and US state lists below dwindle down to only a handful of names, that will

The Worldometer web site tracks coronavirus (COVID-19) around
the world and its link is provided. Many charts in the coronavirus series of
articles are provided courtesy of Worldometer and annotated by Keystone. The
CDC COVID Data Tracker is another excellent source of information. The
Worldometer, Johns-Hopkins and CDC data track each other well with the
Worldometer data leading the others by a few days. The Worldometer data is farsuperior for forecasting since it is updated more reliably in real-time.
The countries with rising active cases charts are
highlighted below with the worst nations at the bottom. The peaks in daily new
cases are shown and the projected peaks for active cases are based on the
Keystone Model. The peak and flattening of the active cases curves are
extremely important since it represents the maximum stress on healthcare workers
and the medical systems.
It will take longer for the active cases charts to roll over
to form the bell shape for the troubled nations at the bottom of the list (they
are still experiencing highs and peaks in their daily new cases).
Hospitalizations lag the daily cases by a week or two and deaths lag
hospitalizations by a week or two.

9 more countries are removed from the bad list including
Romania, Costa Rica, Netherlands, Iran, Turkey, Denmark, Guatemala, Japan and
Russia. All these nations show active cases curves that have peaked, flattened
and are starting to roll over so they are on the mend. Too bad Russia is invading
Ukraine as this article is written. If China Flu does not kill the Ruskies and Ukrainians,
perhaps the bullets will.
Denmark is the BA2 posterchild so it is great to see it
kicked off the list. Norway needs to go perhaps next time. Japan should improve
quickly going forward. The countries on the bad list above are at the peak of
their omicron waves. South Korea is likely cresting right now.
The next list shows the US states with the worst at the
bottom. The omicron daily cases have peaked in all states although Maine is showing
concern.
The peak in daily new cases and projections for the peaks in
active cases are provided as per the Keystone Model. The flattening and roll
over of the active cases curve forming the bell shape indicates the virus is
being defeated and the caseload on healthcare workers will quickly improve.

Something may be terribly wrong in
Maine as discussed and shown with its daily cases chart above. Hopefully the
CDC or Whitehouse can find out what is going on in the main (Maine) lobster
state.
7 states are removed
from the bad list including New York, Florida, Nevada, Missouri, Oregon, South
Carolina and Tennessee.
Thus, 17 states remain
on the bad list that need to roll their active cases charts over to form the
coveted bell shape. As seen by the notations above, most will be in good shape
and likely disappear from the list over the coming days. It looks like the
pandemic is moving into the endemic phase, however, Maine’s ugliness needs
addressed.
Fox News
(republican-run media) anchor Nel Cavuto returns to television explaining that
he had a bad second case of COVID-19 that almost killed him. Cavuto is
vaccinated and boosted since he is an immunosuppressed individual due to heart
surgery and other ailments. God Bless Him. He probably kisses the bedroom rug
each morning after he wakes-up and fogs a mirror.
Another past Fox
News personality Bob Beckel, that would provide a liberal perspective on the
conservative network, dies at only 73 years old. He didn’t look a day over 80.
Beckel had various ailments and a history of addiction but was overweight and
the family will not say what he died from or if he was vaccinated; you do the
math.
The UK is offering a
fourth shot to people over 75 years old. Israel has been shooting-up anyone
over 60 with a fourth mRNA dose for the last couple months. Sweden also offers
fourth shots to the elderly. Will the US announce plans to provide a fourth
shot to seniors? Is anyone listening anymore?
President Biden
provides the State of the Union speech next week, 3/1/22. Satirists and Biden
detractors will call it the State of the Onion; the speech will have many
layers and make everyone cry. Sleepy Joe may unveil a new plan for the pandemic.
America is likely transitioning from a pandemic phase (out of control infections
that a tracking and tracing program cannot handle) to an endemic stage (low and
predictable case rates) and perhaps this will be a key focus of the speech
along with the Russia/Ukraine conflict.
If President Biden preaches
the ‘get vaccinated’ stuff, Americans will tune out. If you want vaccinated,
you got vaccinated. If you want boosted, you got boosted. People made their
decisions. Everyone has showed their hand. The Whitehouse and CDC now need to
provide the mAb treatments and Paxlovid pills in sufficient quantities to all
states to help prevent people from dying. It is common sense but nowadays there

Several politicians, no doubt performing the bidding of the CCP, are suggesting a lockdown of Hong Kong may be the only way to halt the spread of the virus (following the mainland's playbook). The outbreak in Wuhan, China, where the deadly coronavirus was spawned, continues with 14 cases identified. The filthy communist government (CCP) is blaming representatives at Nu Skin Enterprises Inc, a US company, for the outbreak. Of course they are. Singapore went to Hell in a covid handbag over the last few days. Singapore daily new cases rocket launch into the stratosphere at over 26K cases and needs to be on the bad country list above. The trouble in Southeast Asia continues. Myanmar reports 3.6K daily new cases the highest for the new omicron wave that is in the parabolic up phase. Vietnam is a disaster at 56K daily new cases another record. This spells trouble for global inflation. Lots of cheap products are manufactured in Vietnam since the folks will work all day for a hotdog and a Coke. The increasing infections are overwhelming hospitals and production at Vietnamese factories has to be slowing. In addition, Vietnam's northern neighbor is southern China which is having trouble maintaining the zero-covid strategy. New Zealand reports over 2.8K daily new cases another record high.
Note Added Wednesday Morning, 2/23/22, at 4:30 AM EST: The US reports only 62K daily new cases for Tuesday. The daily cases are down to levels not seen since last July as the US was going into the Delta Variant wave 5. Great news. The 7-day MA for US daily cases is down to 83K cases per day. This averages out to only 1,600 cases occurring per day per state. The US death rate is down to 1.7K deaths per day starting to speed its drop. It appears that the GSK mAb treatments and Pfizer Paxlovid pills are finally getting into the sick bodies that need them. A lot of Americans died needlessly over the last few weeks and months. California's daily new cases are down to 11K per day last seen 2 months ago. Maine reports 2.6K cases yesterday off of Monday's wicked 5K cases number. Note Added Thursday Morning, 2/24/22, at 4:30 AM EST: The United States reports 75K daily new cases another low number compared to what would be expected for the middle of the week. It's beautiful. The 7-day MA for daily new cases is at 82K cases per day and starting to take a more subtle gliding path lower rather than the straight down drop. It's all good. The 3-day MA keeps printing lower lows and lower highs maintaining the downward path in cases so Americans can Put On a Happy Face, as war rages overseas. US deaths jump to 2.4K yesterday but some of that may be holiday catch-up and the 7-day MA continues to drop like a rock at 1.7K deaths per day. Biden needs to put the pudding down and brow beat his people and Big Pharma into producing and delivering more monoclonal antibody treatments and Paxlovid pills so lives can be saved. Chop, chop. The Superbowl was on Sunday, 2/13/22, so an uptick in infections should occur in 4 to 10 days with 8 days a sweet spot to see a big jump, if the event is a superspreader. The bump in US infections after the Superbowl parties is subtle and nothing like the first year of the pandemic. California sees a miniscule bump in cases as the overall downtrend continues. The Superbowl was not a superspreader event and the word superspreader will fade from the lexicon. There are many sporting events, concerts, political rallies and protests where folks are no longer wearing masks and after several months of data and information, these events are no longer superspreader events. Enough Americans are either dead from covid, vaccinated or they have natural antibodies for the United States to venture into the realm of herd immunity. Maine reports 2 days of cases off the horrendous 5K level but it remains a mystery why it is the only state in the union that is in trouble. The CDC COVID Data Tracker shows that Piscataquis County, in the center of the state, has the highest infection rate and this is the least-populated county in Maine. It also is mainly white folks (97%) that are not very religious according to census data. Maine is the most vaccinated state besides Rhode Island and Vermont; that's scary. Maine is nearly the most vaccinated state and it is the one that cannot shake the virus. There wasn't any difference in the behavior of the omicron waves whether a state was highly vaccinated or not; the waves all run the same pattern and, anecdotally, such as in the case of the 3 states mentioned, the vaccinated states may behave slightly worse. It is stunning that the most vaccinated countries in the world have been smacked silly with the omicron wave the same or worse than every other nation regardless of vax participation. These highly vaccinated nations are brought to their knees by the Botswana/South Africa B11529 (BA1) Omicron Variant include UAE, Portugal, Chile, Singapore, Canada, Italy, Brazil, Vietnam, Japan, France, UK, Thailand, USA, Germany, Iran and Israel. China is in trouble right now as well. No country was spared, even if the people were jabbed 4 times, except for one nation; communist Cuba. Note Added Friday Afternoon, 2/25/22: The CDC's new mask guidance says masks should be worn indoors in public places, like schools, if the transmission levels are high. The new guidance sounds a lot like the old guidance. The CDC's US county map remains blood red. What is this new criteria? Upon clicking the 'Find local COVID-19 guidance' box that takes you to the page with the 'US COVID-19 Community Levels by County' map that is shown in three colors; green, yellow and orange-ish. The CDC offers this new US county map, based on hospitalization data, as the country moves into an endemic phase. Green counties are low transmission where masks are not required but it is suggested to stay up to date with the county's status and get tested if you show symptoms. The yellow counties are medium transmission and the folks that are at risk (immunocompromised, heart and lung ailments, diabetes, obesity, etc...) should discuss with their doctor if it is a good idea to wear a mask. The orange counties are high transmission where a mask indoors in public settings is suggested. The system is nice and easy like a traffic light green, yellow, red (orange); a fifth-grader can understand it which means the maximum number of Americans will easily comprehend the map and guidance. The mouse can select the county of interest and the state map comes up so folks can see what the guidance is not only in their own county but the neighboring counties. People will need to be told to use the new map in this manner. The CDC did a good job. The map is dated 2/24/22 so if the updates can remain tight, the map will be a very useful addition to the CDC website. Keystone bashes the CDC daily in the chronology, most of it deserved, but the new county map and guidance is excellent. The same map can be used for raising and lowering different guidelines. The only suggestions would be to distinguish it from the other US county map that is blood red because people are going to reference the wrong map. In fact, if you bring up the CDC site, the first screen shows the US county map but it is the old blood red one based on cases and positive test rates. If you squint, and hold one hand in front of one eye, you can see in tiny print that a link is given to the 'COVID-19 Community Level map'. It is highlighted in yellow but not what you are looking for when you see a county map in front of you. This situation needs flipflopped. Place the new county map on that page and place the link to the old blood red county map. The new COVID-19 Community Level map should be fiercely marketed so Americans are trained to look at it often. All guidance should be on the county, and not state, level, so businesses and people's lives are not disrupted unless absolutely necessary. Masks are still needed for public transportation but this will need reviewed in the near future. All the talking heads should tell people how to get to the county map every time they are on television. The CDC deserves credit for the new map and guidance. People only need to know green, yellow, orange (red) and they are good to go. Another nitpicking item for the new map is that a rose or light red pastel-style color would be better than the orange color but hey, art is in the eyes of the beholder. Lots of folks will still wear masks anyway for a week or few, and there is nothing wrong with that. It has been 2 long years so it will take a little while to get comfortable standing face to face maskless again, especially with cousin Larry that spits when he talks. The CDC is regaining the lead after sitting in the backseat for the last month. With a little bit of luck, the new US county map will turn mostly yellow and green in the days ahead. About 70% of America does not have to use a mask according to the new map and the other 30% will likely follow in the days ahead. The old US blood red county map based on cases and tests, which is only updated once per week, will likely also flip to yellow, blue and orange in the days ahead. It is surprising that it is not less red already, but it is a weekly chart (slower to update).

Note Added Thursday Morning, 3/3/22, at 6:00 AM EST: The US reports 51K daily new cases yesterday with the 7-day MA down to 56K cases per day. 1,482 Americans are dying each day from China Flu finally dipping back below 1.5K souls per day last seen 2 months ago. President Biden, the Whitehouse and CDC provide more details on the new COVID-19 plan for America called "Test to Treat." That name lacks pizazz; it sounds like 'trick or treat'. The plan incorporates anti-viral treatments and therapies into patient care the minute they test positive. It only took two administrations two years to get here. The plan calls for tracking new variants, offering more free tests and also monitoring wastewater for infections. The government wants to spend more money on the wastewater research since it would help cities that are typically democrat voters. Wastewater monitoring does nothing for rural areas where folks have their own septic systems. It can be a helpful tool but the daily new cases data was great at tracking the virus within the United States and globally as the chronology proves over the last 2 years. The CDC and Whitehouse would be better served to speed-up the data collection and processing time so their charts can be updated with no more than a one-day lag time. Spend money on something useful such as having up to date data to make key decisions instead of giving money to democrat causes that only help certain groups of people.
Note Added Thursday Morning, 3/3/22, at 7:00 AM EST: Americans are ditching masks. In most US stores, there are only a couple customers and a couple clerks wearing masks. Folks are moving on with life after 2 years of pandemic misery. The cherry on top of the pandemic bon voyage cake will be the lifting of the mask mandate for public transportation that expires 3/18/22. Of course the wishy-washy people in charge do not plan on making a decision about dropping the mandate until the last day, but there will be Mutiny on the Bounty if the mask restrictions are not dropped for public transportation. If people want to wear masks, that's cool, but masks should no longer be mandatory. Florida republican Governor DeSantis, that has designs on the Whitehouse in 2024, tells masked students at a press conference to ditch their masks. As DeSantis walks to the podium, he tells the young folks that masks are no longer needed. He proclaims, "We gotta stop with this covid theater." Humorously, 3 of the masked students remove the masks happily shoving the mouth diapers into a pocket while 3 others stand firm, like Easter Island statues, stoically displaying their masked faces when everyone else in the group including DeSantis, is maskless. To each his own. The covid theater continues. The three masked students may have health or other reasons to wear their face coverings and that has to be respected as every normal person does. People do not have a problem with anyone wearing a mask, they can wear 10 masks, but it should not be a mandatory edict across the entire population imposed by clueless bureaucrats that do not intend to follow their own rules. Of course, the democrat-run media in the US, such as CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, NPR, Washington Post (Bezos), New York Times, etc.., drag DeSantis through the mud labeling him as a bully yelling at kids. The only reason the liberal media is trying to bloody his nose is that King Donnie Trump will likely find himself in legal jeopardy for his childish post-election deeds and tainted from running again, so the guy for democrats to beat in the 2024 presidential election will likely be DeSantis. Of course, the republican-run media such as Fox News, Newsmax, OANN, Breitbart, AM talk radio, New York Post, etc..., cheer DeSantis and his mask takedown, er, tough love would be a better description, of students. The two corrupt political tribes are like the clicks in junior high school sitting in groups at lunchtime; children snipping at each other only showing allegiance to their group. Where do they pick up that disgusting trait? People are trying to get their lives back to normal as Europe and Asia experience the horrors of war not seen since WW II. Steroid-popping dirtbag Dictator Putin may have gone bat crazy since he is committing war crimes against humanity shooting missiles at apartment buildings, schools and hospitals killing women and children. Thousands are dead with Russia's war against Ukraine in its eighth day.
Note Added Thursday Afternoon, 3/3/22: Apple is dropping its mask requirements at the headquarters and in stores. The NFL suspends COVID-19 protocols. Americans are coming out of their 2-year pandemic hibernation. The Peoples Convoy continues through Ohio receiving some of the biggest support to date. People line the sides of roads and on overpasses cheering and waving flags. The truckers, medics, healthcare workers and others participating in the convoy say they feel like heroes as if they are coming back from a war considering all the enthusiasm and encouragement from onlookers. It is great fun in America watching the Peoples Convoy cross the nation cheering for freedom and liberty not tyranny.

About 5% of the world's population has been infected with covid and recovered; 1 in every 20 people. The world's daily new cases drop to 1.4 million per day the trend lower is becoming gradual but it keeps dropping which is all that matters. World deaths are falling sharply down to 7.2K souls per day. The death rate just went sub 8K and hopefully drops below 7K in the days ahead. World deaths were at 6.1K per day as the parabolic omicron wave began. It will be a happy day when the world's death rate drops under 6.1K per day taking out those prior lows which would then compare back to the death rate in 2020. Malaysia must be relaxing the covid restrictions too quickly because 32.5K daily new cases are reported yesterday a new record. Malaysia is doing a poor job at stamping out the omicron wave. Over 100 Malaysians are dying per day the most in 5 months. Get your act together Malaysia. Indonesia is successfully battling the omicron wave with daily cases on the downside but deaths sneak higher to 376 the most in 6 months. Deaths in Malaysia and Indonesia are rising but remain generally in check nowhere near their record levels. Vietnam is a disaster each day now reporting nearly 120K cases yesterday. Ditto South Korea that remains in covid turmoil. Hong Kong daily cases are a rocket launch to 57K infections yesterday. The cases are so large that the chart no longer shows the prior waves since the bumps are tiny compared to the omicron parabolic spike underway. Poor Hong Kong. There are idiots continuing to call it a central financial hub of the world. Hong Kong is part of mainland communist China now. Get with the program. China's daily cases continue higher at 226 cases per day. China's active cases are at 3K and rising starting to test the 3.5K high on 1/18/22 and if taken out, the active cases will be the most since the pandemic began. Do you really believe that in a commie country of 1.4 billion people there are only a couple hundred omicron infections and only 3,000 people under doctor's care and most are not in the hospital? Singapore remains challenged its daily cases chart is similar to Malaysia hinting that these regions may be relaxing restrictions too fast creating a second wind for the Omicron Variant. New Zealand remains at record daily case levels above 23K infections per day as PM Ardern deals with social unrest and an omicron wave starting to spiral out of control. Hong Kong, China and New Zealand are in the zero-covid boat which may be sinking. The population is sick of being locked up like animals for 2 years and after all that draconian misery, the highly infectious Omicron Variant hits perhaps rendering the zero-covid lockdowns useless. Australia is the zero-covid nation that may have dodged a bullet but check that. Australia reports 36K daily new cases yesterday the most in a month. The Aussies are trying to hold together following their intermittent draconian lockdown strategies but the new pop in cases requires monitoring Down Under. Chile is on the mend with daily cases and is succeeding in tamping down the omicron wave but deaths pop to 272 bodies yesterday the most since the summer of 2020.
Note Added Friday Morning, 3/4/22, at 4:00 AM EST: America reports 49K daily new cases yesterday and the 7-day MA trend line is down to 51.4K cases per day ready to go sub 50K per day. Each state is running, on average, only a thousand new infections per day. Of course, small states are only seeing a couple hundred infections per day. There is no mention of the CDC's new US county community transmission map on television. It was a day or two announcement and then forgotten. Americans need to be trained to reference the county map for future pandemics and perhaps other national issues. The map is updated as per 3/3/22 and becomes greener (good) and less orange. If the CDC can keep updating the chart in real-time with only a day or so of lag time at most, they have a great product they are offering to Americans. The West Virginia, eastern Kentucky and western Virginia region remains in the orange color (high transmission). To nitpick the map, as previously mentioned, the orange color would be better displayed as a pastel red tone (rose-colored) since it would perfectly align the information with a simple street light; green means go and no masks, yellow means caution and check with your doctor to see if it is wise to keep wearing a mask and if so, when, and red means stop and think about wearing a mask and respecting other covid restrictions since you are standing in a high transmission zone. Simplicity is a beautiful thing. Einstein searched for it his whole life, looking for the one-inch equation that describes the entire universe, but alas, Father Time decides all outcomes. Over 6 million citizens on planet Earth have died from COVID-19, a mind-boggling number. As dirtbag Joseph Stalin said, "a single death is a tragedy, a million deaths are (only) a statistic."
