United States wave 7 must be in the bag, or at least getting
there, and the pandemic phase is likely transitioning into the endemic phase,
because the officials and decision-makers managing the pandemic are pointing
fingers at one another and stabbing backs. Others are soul-searching and providing
mea culpa’s for their COVID-19 guidance.
Moderna is suing Pfizer and BioNTech alleging patent
infringement. The claws are out. Meow. Pfizer CEO Bourla, just now getting over
COVID-19 and likely heading towards a Paxlovid rebound case, takes the ‘who,
me?’ defense. Moderna is going to want some dough for developing the initial research
with mRNA vaccines that was actually a joint partnership with the US government.
Do Americans get a cut of the action? No. Big Pharma will be suing each other
until the lawyers sit in the back room, smoke cigars, and decide who gets what
and how much. Such is the crony capitalism system.
Dr Fauci blames former President Trump for the mishandling
of the pandemic saying the comment, “It (COVID-19) will go away like magic,”
was counter to the information from the CDC hurting the messaging. Lord Fauci tries
to claim he is against lockdowns which is laughable. Fauci and Trump are the
lockdown twins. They were supposed to snuff-out the virus in two weeks which
was a stupid plan that never had a chance of succeeding. Social media slams
Fauci and will not let him disown the masking and lockdown debacles during the
pandemic; they are his babies.
CDC Director Dr Walensky comes clean admitting to mistakes
during the pandemic pledging to reorganize the troubled institution. Public
confidence in the medical profession is tainted during the pandemic. CNN
medical correspondent Dr Wen discusses how masks have hampered her kids
learning and social development. She supported masking and other COVID-19
guidelines during the pandemic but now realizes like many others that the covid
guidelines should have been measured by their total impact on society.
Baloney Tony Fauci criticizes the CDC piling on Dr Walensky
after her mea culpa. He may have well said, “She did it.” Fauci points blame at
everyone else while he is holding a halo above his head. Flip-flop Fauci
acknowledges that it is important for medical officials to come forward and
discuss things that went wrong so they are not repeated in a future pandemic but
he always stops short of taking personal responsibility. Instead, Fauci
polishes his halo with the help of the democrat-run media.
In the UK, former Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak,
that wants to replace Boris Johnson as prime minister, says it was a mistake
empowering scientists during the pandemic. Scientists and doctors view the
pandemic only through the health lens without thinking of the societal impacts
that may occur from their proclamations. Everyone is learning something from
the pandemic and all of us have lost people that we love.
There are many other examples of finger-pointing and mea
culpa’s as the general sense develops that wave 7 is the last hurrah for the
pandemic phase that will now move into the endemic phase like seasonal flu. US
wave 7 is on the way out. Conditions require steady monitoring but the worst of
the pandemic appears over.
It is ridiculous that vaccine mandates are still in effect.
The mRNA shots do not stop infection or transmission of COVID-19. Capiche? The
medical talking heads tout the line that the multiple jabs will prevent serious
illness and death. That may not even be true since nearly one-half the patients
in the hospitals are vaccinated (44% according to the latest CDC numbers).
It is criminal to impose vaccine mandates on Americans for
shots that are not even vaccines in the true sense of the word. The CDC changed
the definition of vaccines to accommodate the emergency approval process for
the mRNA shots. If a vaccine actually worked and stopped the China Virus
infection and transmission, that is a different story that requires a different
discussion.
Holding people’s jobs over their heads forcing them to kneel
before power to take vaccines that are not really vaccines, is not American.
Forcing employees or travelers to inject something into their bodies that they
do not want, threatening their jobs, families and livelihoods, is a sick
chapter in American history, and it continues today.
Philadelphia schools begin classes this week and a 10-day
mask mandate is in effect for the kids. There are a handful of other cities
such as San Diego and Sacramento also imposing mask mandates on kids. Ridiculously,
the *sshole teachers that pledge allegiance to the democrat-controlled teachers
unions, are not wearing masks as they welcome the kids. Figure that one out.
The 10-day period is made-up science,make-believe, or Making Believe as prettyKitty would sing. There is no scientific data to back up the 10-day masking decision.
If it takes 10 days for the *ssholes in charge to feel good
that they are transitioning the kids properly, so be it. Kids should be
maskless and getting back to normal. COVID-19 poses no serious health threat to
children under 18 years old unless they are suffering from other diseases and
ailments or if they are obese.
72% of the school teachers in the United States are women
and 92% of the kindergarten teachers are women. Maybe children are coddled too
much over the last two or three decades receiving disproportionate amounts of
the feminine perspective. That’s fine, but the kids, especially boys, need a
male influence during these impressionable years as well. The yin and the yang.
However, men have likely been drummed-out of the teaching
profession by the unions that are ran by women. Of course, there are many great
women teachers but some in leadership, board and administrative positions, and
the unions, follow hidden agendas bank-rolled by wealthy elitists. The kids
subjected to a twisted woke agenda turn into goofball adults because they were
only taught, or brain-washed, to think a certain way about specific topics. The
education mess will need fixed if America is to survive.
Think about the vaccines logically, folks. If the only fig
leaf the multiple shots offer is that they will help prevent you from dying
from COVID-19, why are there vaccine mandates? The medical authorities admit
that any vaccinated person can still get infected with covid and transmit the
disease. Hello. People sure are stupid nowadays. A vaccine mandate has no
meaning as to why it is necessary.
Why is the government and companies, like the jackass
airlines, and the military, continuing the vaccine mandate charade? It is more
about control of the population, workers and troops than protecting health.
Many of you, surprisingly most of you, are willing to cower under your bed and do
whatever you are told without question. That is a pathetic way to live your
life. Since a non-vaccinated person is only jeopardizing his own life by
dissing the shots, the vaccine mandates have no meaning and should all be
terminated immediately.
At Google offices, that only allow vaccinated employees,
COVID-19 infections spread. You have to laugh at the stupidity. Do you need
better test cases than offices that consist only of vaccinated people and the
virus spreads between them? America’s IQ has collectively dropped a few points
during the pandemic.
The number one tennis player in the world Novak Djokovic is
not allowed to play at the US Open in New York because of the stipulation that
foreign travelers must be vaccinated to enter the United States. It is
sickening stuff. At the same time, non-vaccinated illegal aliens, foreigners, cross
the southern US border in record numbers each day. That’s funny.
A non-vaccinated athlete in top physical condition is not
permitted to enter the United States but thousands of non-vaccinated illegal
aliens cross the southern border daily and are then bussed all around the
United States. America has gone off the deep-end.
The struggling Whitehouse spokeswoman, Karine Jean-Pierre,
the lady with three first names, that was given the job because she checked
three boxes (woman, black, gay), cannot answer a question addressing this issue
of banning unvaccinated Novak Djokovic from playing in the US Open but allowing
thousands of unvaccinated folks to enter the southern border willy-nilly every
day.
KJP stumbles, which is a given in each of her responses, and
nervously utters, “It’s not like somebody walks over (the border),” but that is
exactly what they do each day. Karine is an idiot in over her head. Someone
should advise her to not say the word ‘like’ since it makes her sound like a
teenager.
Young people are always in a big hurry to be a big shot. She
should have been patient and acquired more experience for a few years and then
she probably would have knocked the spokesperson job out of the park but alas,
she was picked because of checking three boxes, so you got what you got, and
she embarrasses herself daily and will always be looked at as a two-bit hack. It
is cringeworthy and sometimes painful to watch Jean-Pierre’s unintelligent
responses to questions.
In this new America, people are picked for jobs based on the
boxes they check instead of qualifications. KJP better worry because rumor has
it that there is an equally cute bisexual transgender Native American, Big
Feather, that is also disabled, interviewing for the job. He, er she, er maybe
they, checks four boxes. The silly woke stuff will fade over time.
The CDC is starting to see the light with Dr Walensky
communicating the message that COVID-19 is “here to stay.” The CDC realizes it
is more important to help Americans learn to live with the virus rather than
solely focusing on vaccinations which do not prevent infection or transmission
of COVID-19. As usual, Americans are ahead of the game moving on with life and
accepting the fact that coronavirus is going to be around for a long time
forward.

Goldman Sachs is lifting all covid restrictions and requirements involving vaccines,
masking and testing, and ordering all staff to return to the office. No more
loafing at home. It is time to get back to work. The investment banks want to make more money
and that Is accomplished through face to face meetings and lunches not
virtually. Clients expect long extravagant dinners with entertainment. Nudge,nudge, wink, wink, know what I mean, know what I mean.
The US daily new cases chart is shown above. The US reports
only 31K cases for Sunday and Saturday’s daily new cases are bumped higher to
44K; two low weekend numbers. The 7-day MA trend line for US daily new cases is
down to 65K cases per day in a six-week downtrend. All great news.
The 3-day MA has been printing lower lows and lower highs
for 6 weeks a beautiful sight. Great stuff. Wave 7 is ending but the decrease
in cases continues at a slow pace. It is like trying to shuffle Uncle Bob out
the door but he wants to tell you one more story about his sciatica.
The US daily new cases need to drop below 10K or 20K per day
for at least a couple straight weeks to signal the all-clear which is probably
another 3 or 4 weeks away. Nonetheless, the covid clouds have parted and
sunnier skies are ahead for the USA.
Americans will be having fun instead of worrying about a covid outbreak
this Fall.
The US active cases chart is shown above. Happy news here as
well. The US active cases drop to 3.26 million a 3.2-handle! It will be
glorious when active cases go sub 3 million perhaps in the days ahead. Wave 7
is finally forming the coveted bell shape that proves the virus is being
defeated and signals that the worst is over for the doctors, nurses, healthcare
workers and the support staffs at hospitals and clinics.
The active cases bell for US wave 7 is not ringing as yet
but it is coming into view. It would be great to see a sharper drop-off occur
in active cases this week. The 3.26 million cases were last seen on 6/15/22
when wave 7 was on the way up; that is 11 weeks ago! There are reasons to be
optimistic about the path ahead and wave 7 may be the last hurrah for the
pandemic phase.
The US daily new deaths chart is shown above representing
President Biden’s failure at handling the pandemic. It is a disgrace. 291
Americans continue dying each day from China Virus no thanks to bozo Biden that
is the ringmaster of the covid circus replacing clown Trump. For 300 Americans
to continue dying from COVID-19 each day 2-1/2 years into the pandemic is a
glaring example of American mediocrity. Such is today’s society.
Setting aside the Biden-bashing over covid deaths, there is
some positive news. The 3-day and 7-day MA’s are printing lower lows and lower
highs for 3 weeks running so a downtrend in deaths is finally reestablishing
itself after the BA2 and BA5 wave 7 debacles. Covid deaths were averaging 500
souls per day during the first week of the month now at about 300 bodies per
day.
The regular flu season kills between 12K and 52K Americans
each year as per the CDC. Equating that to a six-month flu season, 183 days,
yields a regular flu death rate of 68 to 284 bodies per day (176 souls per day
on average), occurring between October and March.
The COVID-19 death rate remains above the regular flu death
rate which is unacceptable after the authorities have had 31 months to come up
with a game plan. It is American mediocrity on full display daily. When the US
death rate for China Virus drops below 200 bodies per day, that will be an
honest comparison to the regular flu season deaths. At that time, Americans can
be educated on the equal risks of the regular flu and China Flu.
The US death chart also shows that a big spike occurs in
deaths for the US infection waves 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 (red lines) but not for
waves 4 and 7. If the pandemic was only a US problem, it would have ended after
wave 4. But, as many pundits refrain, ‘the virus is not over until it is over
everywhere’, and no truer words were spoken. The India B1617 variant (delta)
took the world by storm creating US wave 5.
The B11529 Botswana/South Africa variant (omicron), that
Keystone proved to actually start in Zimbabwe, then raised its ugly head
creating the heinous wave 6 spike in deaths after the bug hit American soil.
The WHO dubbed B11529 the BA1 Omicron Variant. Wave 6 was the big sister wave
followed by the BA2 Omicron Subvariant little sister wave consisting of wave 7a
which is dominant in BA2 and wave 7b that causes more deaths with the BA5
dominant strain.
A huge positive to take away from the carnage, however, is
that the US death rate did not go parabolic and remained somewhat sideways with
only a slight upward bias and now the deaths are moving lower for 3 weeks. Hopefully,
a quicker drop will occur this week, and it should since deaths lag daily cases
by 3 or 4 weeks. The deaths will retreat no thanks to Alzheimer’s Joe.
US deaths are going to come down simply due to the nature of
the pandemic. It is shameful and a disgrace that Sleepy Joe did not focus on
American deaths instead of pursuing a misguided climate change agenda tilting
at windmills and solar cells a la Don Quixote.
The US vaccination rate chart is shown above. The 7-day MA
trendline for the US vax rate falls to the 140K to 162K shots per day range not
seen since the jabs were first available in December 2020. The mRNA
vaccinations have come full circle. President Biden plans on pumping and hyping
the booster-booster-booster fifth shot in a couple weeks but who will be
listening? The vax rate chart shows the messaging is lost.
The US hospital admissions chart is shown above. The
admissions are decreasing across the board and it is especially great to see
the elderly patients decreasing. The US hospital admissions peaked 7/23/22
through 7/25/22 which is now 6 weeks in the rearview mirror. More good news
beating down wave 7.
The US hospitalizations chart is shown above. The hospital admissions lead hospitalizations
by 3 or 4 days so it is not surprising to see US hospitalizations begin their
downtrend in late July and early August. America is hitting the covid ball out
of the park with daily new cases, active cases, hospital admissions,
hospitalizations and deaths all trending lower. Wave 7 is on the run and the
BA5 threat is diminishing.
US hospitalizations drop from near 40K at the end of July to
31K now as per a CDC official speaking yesterday. That is a 22% reduction in
COVID-19 patients in the last 5 weeks. The good news keeps piling up. Chariot’sa Comin’, Good News.
The CDC’s Community Transmission map is becoming greener and
it is always a few days or week or so behind. The bad thing about the slow data
uptake is that schools are referencing their counties on the map that are the
orange high-risk color as a reason to impose masks on children.
In reality, most of those US counties are seeing a drop in
cases and a serious lessening of risk as wave 7 is ending. In other words, the
map is telling folks to be afraid and if it was updated in real-time the
picture would be brighter and advise Americans differently. This is not good
and if Dr Walensky is true to her word, she will provide data, map and chart
updates no more than 2 days old in the future. If Worldometer can do it, so can
the CDC.
Looking at the global picture, which will improve since the
United States is improving, the world is at 607 million total COVID-19
infections. The China Virus, that was likely released or escaped from the Wuhan
Laboratories, has wreaked havoc around the world.
China is having its comeuppance in the face of dirtbag
Dictator Xi’s zero-covid policy with the communist nation reporting infections
in all 31 Chinese provinces. Give it up Xi. Start leveling with the Chinese
folks. They already know the bug will not be eradicated. People know they must
learn to live with the virus and they do not want to lose their livelihoods
spending days on end in lockdown and subject to non-stop covid testing.
The world’s daily new cases chart is shown above. The 7-day
MA for the world’s daily cases drops to 643K cases per day not seen since late
June when the cases were rising; good news. It will be better news when the
planet’s daily cases drop below the 520K to 550K cases per day range since that
represents the prior two lows. That will be a great day. For now, everyone must
be happy that the pandemic is going in the right direction and may be in its
last throes worldwide.
The world’s daily new deaths chart is shown above. 1,840
earthlings are dying from COVID-19 per day as per the 7-day MA trendline. The
planet’s death rate has been sticky above 2K bodies per day for about 3 weeks
so it is great to see the downward bias now in play. Japan and the US keep the
world’s death numbers elevated so as their infection waves and deaths subside,
the global death rate will retreat further.
The global daily new deaths chart shows the dead bodies
stacking up quickly for the first 6 waves (red lines). For waves 7 and 8,
however, global deaths decrease as the daily cases popped higher. Wave 8 was
the North Korea explosion in cases and deaths but they did not register a blip
on the world’s death chart.
The current wave 9 engulfing the world, which is mainly the
BA5 subvariant, displays a flat profile for world deaths at that 1.8K to 2.2K
range for the last month as the deaths appear to be peaking. This is good news.
As the infection waves keep appearing and the rise in daily cases smack MotherEarth, as Steve Harley sings, the death rates are diminishing. Perhaps there is
an end in sight for this horrible pandemic spawned in China. Despite rising
cases, deaths remain flattish or in retreat on a worldwide basis.
Japan’s daily new cases chart is shown above. It is ugly but
a double-top is likely in place with daily new cases moving lower at 195K per
day almost one-third of the world’s total cases. Japan’s elderly are dropping
like flies. The hearses are lined-up at nursing homes not a pretty sight if you
are in one of the beds, finding it difficult to breathe, looking out the window,
hoping the treatment works.
Japan’s daily new deaths chart is shown above. It is one of
the ugliest charts of the pandemic. Japan has a serious aging demographic
problem that will negatively impact its economy and world standing but COVID-19
is remedying that societal burden. Are Japan’s leader’s incompetent at bringing
the death rate lower or are they okay with it culling the elderly population?
Inquiring minds want to know. The world is not a pretty place. The strong, and
well-connected, survive.
325 Japanese die from China Virus on Saturday, 8/27/22, the
deadliest day of the pandemic. The 7-day MA for Japanese covid deaths is at 285
bodies per day and will hopefully top-out any day forward. The Japanese
crematoriums are making money hand over fist running the furnaces 24/7. Urn
makers are also enjoying overtime pay. Nearly 100% of Japanese folks are
cremated when they croak.
South Korea’s daily new cases are shown above. The 7-day MA
curls over to the downside now at 104K cases per day with conditions improving.
This is great news and helps to decrease the world’s cases. The active cases
for South Korea are also rolling over to the downside even better news since
this will confirm that the virus is being defeated. South Korean deaths
continue higher, however, with 72 people dying per day from covid.
Russia’s daily new cases chart is shown above. Russia is
heading towards 50K cases per day with the 7-day MA ramping higher at over 42K
cases per day. The new infection wave is already at about one-fourth the cases
of Russia’s worst wave and it is as if no one even knows a new covid infection wave
has started. Dirtbag Dictator Putin is focused on his war against Ukraine.
Sadly, 90 Ruskies die from covid on Saturday and the 7-day MA is up to 80
deaths per day ramping higher the most deaths since June.
The USA has the greatest number of total coronavirus cases
in the world at 96 million. India is next with 44.4 million total virus cases. France,
Brazil, Germany, UK, South Korea, Italy, Russia, Japan, Turkey, Spain, Vietnam,
Australia, Argentina, Netherlands, Iran and Mexico round out the top 18 worst
nations for total COVID-19 cases.
COVID-19 has infected 607 million people worldwide. China
(the CCP) owes reparations to the world for its sick heinous crime against
humanity. 6.49 million people on Earth are dead from the China Flu a grim
statistic. 583 million global citizens have recovered from the virus.
96% (583/607) of the people that become infected with COVID-19
recover in a reasonable time frame. This number was 96% for many weeks, but
then slipped to 95% for a few weeks, now back to 96% for the last month so the BA5
bug is nasty but perhaps dying off.
Worldwide, 1.1% (6.49/607) of the people that are infected
with covid die; 1 in 93 (hit the 1/x button on your calculator). This number
was 1.2% for over a year so slippage to 1.1% in the last few months is great
news (less people are dying after they become infected compared to prior waves).
7.9% (607/7670) of the world’s population of 7.67 billion
people have been infected with coronavirus; 1 in every 13 people on earth. 0.08%
of the world’s population (6.49/7670) died from the pandemic; 1 in every 1,182
people on earth died from China Virus over the last couple years.
In the United States, 96 million people have been infected
with covid. 1.069 million Americans are dead. 92 million Americans have
recovered from coronavirus. This equates to 95.8% (92/96) of US citizens recovering
after becoming infected with COVID-19.
In the US, 1.1% (1.069/96) of the people infected with COVID-19
die. 1 in every 90 US citizens that are infected with coronavirus die. 0.3% (1/330)
of Americans have died from COVID-19 which is 1 in every 330 Americans over the
last 2-1/2 years.
29% (96/330) of the American population of 330 million
people have been infected with covid; 1 in every 4 Americans (3.4 to be exact
so call it 2 in 7). It is likely 60%, or even 80% or more, of the US population
has been infected with the omicron and prior bugs and have some level of
natural immunity.
The United States has 16% (96/607) of the COVID-19 cases in
the world. 1 in 6 people that become infected with covid on the planet are
Americans. The US vaccination program made an impact month’s ago, but not so
much in recent months.
The US accounts for 16.5% (1.069/6.49) of the China Flu
deaths in the world. 1 in 6 people that die from COVID-19 around the world are
Americans. Over a year ago, it was 1 in 5 so vaccinations helped.
The Keystone Speculator Coronavirus Infection Rate Model,
the Keystone Model for short, is a simple model that predicts when the active
cases chart will flatten-out and roll-over lower. The active cases chart is the
‘flatten the curve’ chart that represents the maximum stress and strain on the
medical system and healthcare workers. Once the active cases chart rolls over
forming the bell shape, the virus is being defeated and healthcare workers can
breathe easier.
The Keystone Model uses the peak in the daily new cases to
forecast the peak and flattening of the active cases curve. The ‘flattening of
the curve’ only pertains to the active cases chart. For communist nations where
the populations must do what they are told or they receive a bullet in their
heads (China), and for smaller authoritarian nations (Eastern European
countries, Africa and Middle East nations), and many Asian nations where
citizens follow government rules without questioning authority (South Korea,
Japan, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand), the active cases curve will peak, on
average, 11 days after the peak in daily new cases.
For the Western countries, such as the US and European
nations, the so-called free societies, the active cases curve will peak, on
average, 28 days after the peak in new cases. It takes about 2 weeks longer for
a free society to tamp down a virus wave than a communist or authoritarian
state because lockdowns are not strictly followed or enforced. As time moves
along, nations become better equipped and experienced to fend off outbreaks so the
time between the daily new cases peak and active cases peak is shortening.
After 2-1/2 years, Western nations are experienced at
handling the virus so the distance between the daily and active cases peaks are
decreasing towards the 11-day distance where the authoritarian and communist
style nations are at that enforce the strict draconian rules to tamp down
infections. Once the majority of the population is either vaccinated or had the
virus, the path forward becomes easier.
All projections below for countries and the US states
continue to use the 11 and 28-day periods for forecasting for consistency. When
the peak in daily new cases occurs, if a subsequent day is within 8% of that
peak top, it is identified as the peak in daily new cases day in reference to
the Keystone Model.
The peak in the daily new cases is easily seen on the bar
charts provided by Worldometer, the CDC and Johns-Hopkins. The daily new cases
bar charts are shown on television news channels with a 7-day moving average
(MA) line which is a smoothing mechanism that identifies the trend.
An update for The Keystone Model is provided since another
10-day period passes and more data and information become available to push the

Keystone Model. The peak and flattening of the active cases curves are
extremely important since it represents the maximum stress on healthcare
workers and the medical systems for that infection wave.
It will take longer for the active cases charts to roll over
to form the bell shape for the troubled nations at the bottom of the list since
they are still experiencing highs and peaks in their daily new cases. On the
positive side, the time between the daily new cases peak and the active cases
peak will likely shorten due to the nature of the omicron subvariants and the
herd immunity at play.
The United States wave 7 of daily new cases is trending
lower for the last month. The US active cases curve rolls over and is trending
lower so the United States is taken off the bad list below. US wave 7 is
diminishing and the active cases are dropping to form the coveted bell shape.

The bad country list above becomes shorter with each article and 6 more nations are removed because their active cases are trending lower. The winners moving on to greener pastures ahead include United States, Indonesia, Philippines, Hungary, Serbia and Lithuania. The Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines trio was a big worry a month ago but the three came through the new infection wave with barely a scratch.
The infection waves are also diminishing in the eastern
European and western Asia nations falling faster than expected. Natural
immunity has to be playing a part where nations that did not have access to
vaccines and their populations got covid are faring the best while countries
that imposed draconian lockdowns and other strict covid measures trying to
protect their populations (China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New
Zealand) have virtually zero natural immunity so they pay the price with
nastier infection waves.
The current COVID-19 hotspots, perhaps singing the swan song
for the pandemic phase, are Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, China and Russia.
The US list below identifies the worst states especially at
the bottom of the list. The peak in daily new cases and projections for the
peaks in active cases are provided as per the Keystone Model.
The flattening and roll over of the active cases curve
forming the bell shape (see US active cases chart above) indicates the virus is
being defeated and the caseload on healthcare workers will quickly improve.
Healthcare workers are not under duress with wave 7 like prior waves but the
caseloads are lingering since April so the smart and pretty nurses, like Nurse
Goodbody, deserve a break, and a massage.
US wave 7 is diminishing so good things are expected in the
days ahead. Wave 7 is unlike the prior 6 waves in its flat topping profile so
it would not be surprising after this lingering near 4-month period for the
active cases to roll over within days of the daily new cases rolling over
(rather than the 28-day period that other US waves followed) and this is
occurring for many states.
The United States was removed from the bad country list
above because the active cases chart (see chart above) is rolling over to the downside.
Thus, many more states should disappear from the bad state list below if the
overall picture has improved. It will be interesting to see which states are
remaining on the bad list, if any. The United States is on the mend beating
down wave 7.

There are only 9 states remaining on the bad list performing the walk of China Virus shame. Nine other states are removed from the list since their active cases curves are dropping including; Texas, North Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and New Hampshire.
Concerning the troubled states above, Virginia, West
Virginia, Maryland, Georgia and Michigan, 5 of them, could probably be pulled
off the list any day forward. By process of elimination, the 4 worst covid states
in the union currently are Alabama, Kentucky, South Dakota and Indiana.
Alabama may be experiencing a lingering double-hump wave.
Kentucky gets a free pass because they are dealing with the devastating floods
and storms that will take a decade or two to fully recover. South Dakota may be
a case of bad data since they are lumping together days. Indiana and Alabama
are the two ugliest states if you had to pick. It may be wise for the CDC to
ask these two states what the doctors and nurses are seeing on the ground.
Interestingly, Alabama is ranked as the 49th worst state
with vaccinations. Only 52% of the population is fully vaccinated. Indiana
ranks as the 41st worst state with 57% of the population vaccinated. Rhode
Island folks have their chests puffed-out with little gold stars on their
foreheads the number one state in vaccinations with 85% of their population
fully vaccinated.
America is definitely on the mend with 41 states in good

Daily new covid cases popped after each holiday party weekend but the move higher was subtle not justifying the superspreader moniker. Labor Day should follow suit. The NBA (American basketball league) decrees that unvaccinated players and staffs must test weekly for COVID-19 through the entire season. Testing is not required for vaccinated basketball players even though they can become infected with COVID-19 and spread the virus to everyone else. The testing requirements are silly and likely only in place to placate the majority of the league players and team personnel that chose to kneel before power and inject the mRNA serum into their bodies so they can make a lot of money.

The US government has ordered 171 million doses of the vaccines so it sounds like the outcome was already known perhaps predetermined? The CDC Advisory Committee will meet tomorrow and Friday to review the FDA information and provide their rubber stamps of approval. Walensky will then provide her rubber stamp probably on Friday afternoon or early Saturday morning. The shots target the omicron strains including BA5. President Biden and First Lady Jill will probably roll up their sleeves for another stupid vaccination photo-op next week. The Whitehouse likely does not appreciate the Coronavirus Chronology displaying the US vaccination rate chart above that shows the least interest in the mRNA vaccinations since since the shots started in December 2020. US active cases are at 3.25 million heading lower but it will be better to see the number below 3 million so the bell shape can clearly form on the chart. US covid deaths are averaging 309 per day teasing below 3 hundo for a few days but then popping back above. Note Added Thursday Evening, 9/1/22: The CDC Advisory Committee wastes no time during the first day of a two-day meeting to rubber stamp the Moderna and Pfizer/BioNTech Fall vaccine shots. CDC Director Walensky signs-off on the approval so the vaccine shots will start into arms in the days ahead. Of course the approval process is played-up to build credibility with Dr Walensky proclaiming that the CDC decision is "a comprehensive scientific evaluation and robust scientific discussion." That's a bunch of ten-dollar college words. The Moderna booster is for adults 18 years old and older. The Pfizer shots are for Americans 12 years old and older but data will be submitted next month to seek approval for the shot for the 5 to 11 year old's. The booster is the fifth shot in the multiple mRNA series, the booster-booster-booster. The vaccine distribution is in disarray. One-fifth of Americans are not vaccinated for COVID-19 and likely do not plan to take the shots anytime soon. Others received the initial 2-shot inoculation but gave-up on the vaccinations after realizing the shots do not prevent infection or transmission. Some Americans are gun-ho vaccines and have received the booster third shot and others, mainly older folks, have 4 shots into their frail arms the booster-booster. No matter how many shots you have, you can still get sick with COVID-19 and transmit the virus. The CDC says people must have the initial 2-shot series to take the new booster shot. The vaccine program would not be such a mess if the shots actually were vaccines that prevented infection and transmission. It will be interesting to see the uptake on the booster-booster-booster. Biden will be receiving his booster-booster-booster shot in a photo-op next week telling everyone they should be like him. Sleepy Joe was quadruple vaccinated with the booster-booster and then got COVID-19; twice. Just like his wife, and Dr Fauci, and comedian Stephen Colbert, and Dr's Hotez and Reiner, and on and on. The covid.gov/tests website continues posting the message that the free covid tests program is ending since Congress has not provided additional COVID-19 funding. People will have to pay for covid tests out-of-pocket or file claims with their insurance companies.
Note Added Friday Morning, 9/2/22, at 4:00 AM EST: Bloomberg reports that an increase in 'virus fragments' is noted in South Africa's wastewater. Specifically, in the Pretoria and Johannesburg area. Virus is also detected in samples from Ekurhuleni, Durban and Bloemfontein. Daily new cases are the most important metric in identifying infection waves and forecasting their direction. The wastewater data is useful for early detection but worthless as far as forecasting wave behavior. How do the authorities know that a hospital or clinic is not flushing stuff down the toilet as a means of disposing virus fragments perhaps to avoid paying a disposal fee? The CDC is resetting the vaccination schedule for Americans 12 years old and older. Whitehouse COVID-19 coordinator Dr Jha says the new booster shot is a "major milestone" and we "have caught up with the virus." Jha says people that had COVID-19 recently should "wait for a few months" before taking the new jab but everyone else over 12 years old should get the Fall booster shot as soon as possible especially the elderly and folks with compromised immune systems and other ailments. The CDC says people should have the original 2-shot series or the latest booster up to date and after 2 to 3 months pass get the new booster. Jha admits that it is unknown exactly how much protection the new booster will provide. Time will tell. On the radio, a news reader says 'only one shot is needed to be up to date regardless of how many shots you had in the past'. This information is in conflict with what the Whitehouse and CDC say unless they clarify statements and simply tell people regardless of whether you are vaccinated or not, get the new shot. The radio announcer is likely incorrect since the shot is termed a booster that means the base series should be in place. There will likely be more clarification provided. President Biden speaks on the new booster vaccine proclaiming, "This week, we begin a new phase in our COVID-19 response. We are launching a new vaccine, our first in almost two years, with a new approach. For most Americans, that means one COVID-19 shot, once a year, each Fall." The president is saying to just get the shot and it will be once each year in the Fall which is not on the same page as the CDC and his own Whitehouse. Clearly, Biden believes the pandemic is moving into the endemic phase like the seasonal flu and he tells people to take the covid booster shot and flu jab at the same time. Lord Fauci considers COVID-19 in the endemic phase proclaiming, "It is becoming increasingly clear that, looking forward with the COVID-19 pandemic, in the absence of a dramatically different variant, we likely are moving toward a path with a vaccination cadence similar to that of the annual influenza vaccine, with annual updated COVID-19 shots matched to the currently circulating strains for most of the population." Jha is optimistic going forward but cautions that "new variant curve balls" may be a "wildcard" that comes "out of left field" and "if that happens, all bets are off and we change." If someone is unvaccinated, do they simply take the new booster shot or do they take the 2-shot series first and get the new booster jab 3 to 5 months down the road? It is great news. The study is based on mice data. The antibody is dubbed SP1-77. Leave it to egghead to provide a name that can easily confuse an '1' and an 'I'. Obviously, it is very early-stage work requiring far more research and human tests. More good news. Israeli scientists discover antibodies that can neutralize covid and perhaps eliminate the need for booster shots. Dr Natalie Freund is leading the effort at Tel Aviv University and a paper is under review at Communications Biology. It is great news that scientists are discovering and researching antibody treatments effective against all COVID-19 variants. In addition, the pandemic is diminishing around the world and in the United States. COVID-19 is transitioning into the endemic phase. Note Added Wednesday Afternoon, 9/7/22, at 1:00 PM EST: The CDC says 22% of adults 45 years old and younger received psychiatric treatment during 2021. This is about 1 in 5 adults pushing towards 1 in 4 and it matches the numbers that are taking anti-depressant drugs in the US. It is sad news; one-fourth of the country is mixed-up in the head. The number is concerning but it represents only a 3% increase from 2019 and the entire pop can likely be attributed to the increased use of telemedicine because of the pandemic. Folks in isolation in 2021, as vaccinations began rolling out, were feeling depressed and that is understandable. Everyone was depressed about the pandemic and it was only a matter of degree. If depressed, try not to take the pills. Instead find folks you can talk to about your issues; it is a better way. The famous psychiatrist Bob Newhart helps patients overcome phobias and other issues in only a few minutes time using one phrase. All joking aside, the suicide prevention hotline number is easy to remember; 988. Weingarten coddled the teachers allowing them to sit at home during the pandemic eating bonbon's. The remote learning is not as effective as in-school learning and the children suffered. Sweden never locked down their schools the only country that did the right thing. Weingarten was in favor of masking and vaccines for children creating angst from parents. Weingarten deserves a lot of blame for the US education mess because she is a lousy manager like Trump, Biden, Fauci and Walensky. The world's death rate was looking good in June comparing back to the initial days of the pandemic but the BA5 bastard created the worldwide wave 9 mayhem increasing the death rate that is now retreating. Japan reports 84K daily new cases for Tuesday the lowest in nearly 2 months as the infection wave subsides. Japan was peaking at nearly 230K cases per day 2 weeks ago so the pullback sends the world's cases numbers lower. Things are looking good everywhere sans China, including commie Hong Kong, and Russia. Hong Kong's infection wave continues higher at 10.1K cases per day. Do not put it past the CCP, that controls Hong Kong, to start purposely reporting less case numbers (disinformation) to try and paint a brighter picture. Hong Kong has lost its status as the financial hub of Asia after the filthy CCP took complete control over the region. Singapore and Tokyo are trusted more by Western banks and financial institutions that continue to move out of Hong Kong. China will become more desperate as they see Hong Kong's influence as Asia's financial hub fading away. China extends its lockdown of over 21 million people in Chengdu.
Note Added Thursday Morning, 9/8/22, at 6:00 AM EST: The US reports 41K daily new cases a surprisingly low number since some holiday catch-up would be expected. The 7-day MA for US daily cases is down to 58K per day continuing lower. US wave 7 is ending as the Whitehouse and CDC roll-out the new booster shots that are only eligible for people that have had previous mRNA shots. It may be an uphill struggle to find bare arms since Americans can see wave 7 is on the way out and most folks have already moved on with life. The US leadership during the pandemic is pitiful. Americans are doing what they think is best without listening to the talking heads that communicate different and sometimes conflicting messages. 245 Americans continue dying from the Wuhan Flu each day. The death rate needs to drop below 2 hundo per day and preferably the low 100's per day to be comparable to the seasonal flu death rate. The death rate will continue lower, no thanks to Biden, as US wave 7 ends.
Note Added Thursday Afternoon, 9/8/22: New York City schools are open and many pandemic rules have ended. Masks are recommended but not required unless a child is returning to school after testing positive for covid. Things are getting back to normal as Americans accept the fact that they will coexist with the China Virus. Common sense is returning. Congress is not happy with the poor performance of the airline industry and the holiday weekend mess was no exception. A stink develops over potential misuse of the COVID-19 relief funds at the airlines. The carriers lost lots of employees and pilots when the idea behind the funding was to sustain employees. The politicians love investigations. The pandemic is moving into the endemic phase as more knives come out and officials, politicians and scientists in charge during the pandemic, increase their back-stabbing. Each person, that has covid blood on their hands, wants to look like the all-knowing saint that handled the pandemic perfectly when in fact they all failed to a man and woman. Such is mediocre America as the crony capitalism system crumbles.
Note Added Friday Morning, 9/9/22, at 6:00 AM EST: The world's daily cases are down to 503K per day the 4-handle is so close you can smell it. Global deaths continue lower at 1.6K souls per day. Japan's COVID-19 death rate may have peaked a few days ago at 300 souls per day now at 280 deaths per day. The elderly Japanese are dying and dead old folks will no longer burden the demographically-challenged closed society. Hong Kong and China remain challenged. Hong Kong's infections are over 10K per day continuing higher. Hong Kong relaxes more travel restrictions for travelers and pilots as the infection wave worsens. Huh? It is a sign of communist desperation knowing that Hong Kong is lost as Asia's business hub and worldwide financial players are instead flocking to Singapore and Tokyo. The CCP controls China and Hong Kong so the stupid zero-covid strategy is followed and Western bankers do not want to deal with that garbage if pandemics occur in the future. And surely more pandemics will appear in the future. China places more restrictions on domestic travel ahead of the CCP coronating dirtbag Xi dictator for life next month. Russia's infection wave continues higher at 47K cases per day but the rate of increase in infections may be ebbing. About 90 Ruskies continue dying each day from COVID-19. Many Russians do not trust the vaccines and treatments provided by their own country. The planet is getting down to the short strokes of the COVID-19 pandemic. The US, Japan and South Korea are on the mend. The worldwide pandemic trouble, after 2-1/2 years, is narrowed-down from 200 countries to two rogue nations; China (including Hong Kong) and Russia.
Note Added Friday Morning, 9/9/22, at 7:00 AM EST: The US reports 63K cases for Wednesday a fantastic number since hump day infections have been elevated in recent weeks. The 7-day MA is at 57K cases per day maintaining the downtrend. US active cases (bell curve) are down to 2.93 million continuing lower. The US death rate is at 253 American bodies per day maintaining a downward bias but it is not falling fast enough for anyone's liking. The path forward is positive as US wave 7 ends. "Covid's over" has a ring to it.
