Keystone's proprietary algorithm, Keybot the Quant, flipped short at 3:56 PM only four minutes in front of the close at SPX 1399. In the final hour of trading semiconductors, financials and volatility all moved into the bear camp causing the algorithm to flip short. As always stay alert for a whipsaw. XLF 15.65 and VIX 15.84 are very important once the bell rings in the morning. More information is found at Keybot's site;

Whew! Glad KeyBot is bearish... it makes me nervous to be on the other side of KeyBot (except for a hedge).
ReplyDeleteChas, that was a crazy finish. The CPC chart last night, and NYMO and BPSPX charts this morning were painting a negative picture, but typically there is a little bit of time to prepare for the short side, but it came on super fast in the last hour today. Tomorrow at the opening bell we find out if the downside has legs, or not. XLF 15.65 and VIX 15.84 are what matters. Both are bearish that will send markets lower if they remain as is. Lots of drama ahead as the week continues along.
