The US wave 5, the delta wave, continues rolling over and
dying. The US active cases chart is flattening and rolling over to form the
coveted bell shape and that is when Americans can throw confetti. Things look
good and even the doom and gloom media are cheering-up and starting to report
the positive direction of the pandemic with lower daily cases, hospital
admissions, hospitalizations and deaths.
The US daily new cases chart is shown above. The US reports
106.3K daily new cases for yesterday, Friday, 10/8/21. This is a great number
despite being over 100K because it is below the 110K cases reported for
Thursday and it is the Friday number which is typically the blow-out largest
number for each week. The 7-day MA, which is a moving average that smooths out
the choppy daily data so a trend can be identified, is at 96K cases continuing
to drop the lowest since 8/4/21 and under 100K.
The 3-day MA for US daily cases (not shown on chart) keeps
printing beautiful lower lows and lower highs verifying that the downtrend in
cases continues. The delta wave 5 is getting beaten-down with the daily cases
chart taking on the inverted (upside-down) V shape a characteristic behavior of
the delta wave.
The US daily cases chart shows when President Biden took
office on 1/20/20. The first 3 waves occur under former President Trump’s watch
with wave 3 the worst devastation, death and destruction. January was horrific
as Trump was continuing to pout and sulk about the presidential election loss.
Biden had great success during the spring and summer as the vaccinations ramped-up
and the pandemic was beat in June only 4 months ago.
However, the India B1617 variant (delta) raises its ugly
face and spreads around the world creating the devastating delta wave. The WHO
idiots renamed the viruses using Greek letters which only adds to the pandemic
confusion. The India B1617 variant is called delta and the UK B117 variant is
called alpha. The delta wave wreaks havoc in the US as wave 5; the Biden
nemesis. Wave 3 was the Trump nemesis. Both presidents swim in the covid sea of
misery.
The US total coronavirus cases chart is shown above. This is
a cumulative chart so it will never go down. The expectation is that the curve
will go dead flat indicating no more cases (or very few) signaling the end of
the pandemic. The US is at 45.1 million cases with 1 in 7 Americans infected
with China Flu.
25.2 million cases occur under former President Trump’s
watch through 1/20/21 with 19.9 million cases occurring on President Biden’s
watch from there to present. 20.6 million cases occur through the end of last
year, 12/31/20. There are 24.5 million cases in 2021 and the year is not even
over yet easily surpassing the total cases in 2020.
The US active cases chart is shown above. This is the
“flattening the curve” chart that needs to form the bell shape to prove that
the pandemic is ending. The US active cases peaked on 9/26/21 at 9.922 million
cases and then flattened-out. The active cases bump-up, however, and top-out on
10/1/21 at 9.923 million cases and, as luck would have it, the exact day
predicted by the Keystone Model one month ago. Give it a few more days before
throwing confetti. The week ahead should show dramatic improvements in the
hospital caseloads and deaths should finally drop at a faster rate.
Former FDA commissioner and Pfizer board member Dr Scott
Gottlieb predicts an end to the pandemic-phase by Thanksgiving after which the
country will handle only small flare-ups in an endemic phase going forward.
Michael Osterholm, however, urges caution through the end of the year saying
another wave may pop-up like the delta wave.
Doctors and scientists are concerned that the cold weather,
driving Americans indoors in the northern states, may create another nasty
wave. The odds are with Gottlieb’s outcome and the charts currently reinforce
that conclusion. The old people are either dead, vaccinated or had covid. The
delta wave moves through the younger population. Considering the Americans that
have natural immunity, along with the vaccinated folks, the US is likely on the
cusp of herd immunity.
The US deaths chart is shown above. 1.9K Americans meet The
Maker yesterday and the 7-day MA is at 1.6K deaths per day an unacceptable
number. Biden is solely focused on vaccinations while ignoring other treatments
and therapies. Monoclonal antibody treatments would have saved a lot of lives
but the inept Whitehouse and CDC have blinders on and the only thing they can
see is mRNA vaccines. The deaths should drop more sharply over the next couple
weeks with the daily cases down for a month and the active cases chart
beginning to roll over.
Hospital admissions and hospitalizations continue trending
lower. Admissions peaked on 8/27/21 now 6 weeks ago! The admissions are down
across all age groups including young people. US hospitalizations for wave 5
peaked on 9/3/21 at 94K patients as per the 7-day MA that is now down to 62K
patients as of 3 days ago. The CDC data is always slow at updating and they say
further updates will not occur until the middle of next week due to the
Columbus Day holiday on Monday. This is no way to run a pandemic.
The vaccine mandates remain the hot topic of discussion in
the United States. At the Thanksgiving table, to keep the family peace,
politics and religion are never discussed. Americans are now adding vaccine
mandates to that list. People are working themselves into a tizzy due to the
stress and strain of an ongoing 20-month pandemic.
King Biden decrees vaccine mandates but it is only a sleight
of hand political magic trick. The president never signed an executive order.
OSHA is looking at rule changes but the consensus is that a vaccine mandate
would be unconstitutional. There are no court cases as yet since Biden has not
signed an executive order. The theatrics provide cover for companies and
businesses to implement vaccine mandates and say they are following the
president’s lead.
Over the next month or two, Biden’s vaccine mandate decrees
will likely be shot down by the courts. Companies will have less clout in
forcing their employees to get vaccinated. The Whitehouse likely figures that
this is the last push for vaccines and anyone not taking the shot at this point
likely will not. Biden will have to
decide if he wants to take the game further and try to mandate vaccines for
citizens which likely will set the country on fire. Control freaks do not like
people that do not kneel and obey.
The CDC changes the look of its vaccination pages on the
COVID Data Tracker adding the booster dose information. 7.3 million Americans
have received booster shots. 4% of the fully vaccinated (2 mRNA shots or the 1
J&J shot) folks have received a booster shot. In diverse America, some
people seek vaccinations willingly rolling up their sleeves offering bare limbs
as pin cushions, while other citizens shun vaccinations more worried about what
the shot may due to their bodies than the illness. As Rodney King said, “Can’twe all (just) get along?”
217 million Americans, over 65% of the population, have been
inoculated with at least one shot. This is nothing to sneeze at. Everyone
should be happy with this accomplishment. 14% of the country is documented to
have had China Flu and have natural antibodies. As much as one-third of the
country, 33%, may have had coronavirus and have some level of natural immunity.
Simple math adds the 14% to 33% natural immunity range to
the 65% that have at least some amount of vaccination protection against covid,
totaling 79% to 98% on the herd immunity scale. This is a great range and hints
that the US wave 5, the delta wave, may be the last hurrah for the pandemic.
The Wuhan Virus is running out of people to infect.
The US vaccination rate chart is shown above. The vaccination
rate bounces back from a multi-week slump lower as the vaccine mandate
deadlines occur. Note that the FDA providing full approval of the vaccines,
replacing the emergency approval, did not help the vaccination rate as many
predicted.
The CDC’s data is notoriously slow to update and the vax
rate is at 855K doses per day rolling back over to the downside. Airlines,
hospitals, tech companies and other big corporations are imposing vaccine
mandates on workers. Kneel and obey or your career, paycheck and life will be
destroyed. Heel, b*tch. The vaccine mandates are dictatorial and authoritarian
something that would be expected in a communist country. Your papers, please,
or your life will be destroyed. “Jawohl, Herr Kommandant!”
Nonetheless, vaccine mandates work since people have to make
a living. The unintended consequences, however, are never thought out by inept
leadership. The vaccine mandates succeed
in having people kneel before power but at the same time they create millions
of disgruntled and unhappy Americans. Folks that used to like their job and
place of employment now distrust and dislike their boss, coworkers, company and
country. How will that impact society over the coming months and years?
In Rome, as reported by ABC News, thousands of protestors
take to the streets yelling, pushing and fighting with police demonstrating
against the new ‘Green Pass’ vaccination passport. Your papers, please. The day
turns ugly and violent. Ditto in Switzerland with thousands of demonstrators protesting against covid restrictions. Police break-up the riots with water cannons and rubber bullets.
CDC Director Walensky continues pumping vaccines as the only
way out of the pandemic. Walensky proclaims, “We have a lot of the science
right now; we have vaccines. What we can’t really predict is human behavior.
And human behavior in this pandemic hasn’t served us very well.” That is a
two-sided street. The CDC and Whitehouse, under two different administrations,
have not served Americans well because of their misinformation, accusing others
of misinformation, failed leadership, missteps, chaos and confusion.
Walensky’s statement about not understanding human behavior
is uninformed. Last year, there was about 20% of the American population that
did not want vaccinated before the vaccines were available and lo and behold,
about 20% still do not want vaccinated a year later. That was easy to predict.
Child’s play. What actually occurs is that both Whitehouse administrations (Trump
and Biden) and the CDC did not have a plan for the folks that do not want
vaccinated. The authorities are simply making it up as they go along.
A future pandemic requires a much more diverse and
comprehensive approach using all available tools including pretreatments,
vitamins, supplements, treatments, therapies and vaccinations. Everything has a
role in defeating a pandemic and losing the least number of human lives.
The Biden approach of solely focusing on vaccinations and
downplaying or denigrating all other treatments is a failure of the pandemic.
Even now, many lives can be saved by monoclonal antibody treatments but the
Whitehouse and CDC are not proactive in educating and informing the public
instead telling them to go home and then when they get real sick they can come
to the hospital and be placed on a ventilator where they will try to save their
lives.
Oh well, the hospitals make more money that way maintaining
the crony capitalism system. Big pharma makes the money on the vaccine end and
if you refuse to take the shots, the hospital will make the money on the dying
end. No one has an interest in helping people in the middle with treatments
that are low-cost and proven; the mark-up is not there for the crony capitalism
system to make a buck.
The world’s daily cases chart is shown above. The world
reports 444K daily new cases yesterday and the 7-day MA is moving nicely lower
down to 415K cases per day. The globe is on the mend. The world can throw
confetti and celebrate when the daily cases and the 7-day MA takeout the lows
after waves 3 and 4 (orange circles). That will take the cases back to summer
2020 and the world will realize the pandemic is in its last throes.
The world’s daily deaths chart is shown above and perhaps
the nicest chart of the bunch. The world reports 7,635 people dying yesterday.
5.2K died on 10/4/21 the least number of daily deaths in one year! The 7-day MA
drops below 7K deaths per day not seen since 11/2/21 nearly one year ago! Most
importantly, the world’s daily deaths take out the support lows after waves 3
and 4 which is important in charting (orange circles). It means that the
downside in world deaths should continue lower and it is a significant turning
point for the pandemic.
The USA has the greatest number of total coronavirus cases
in the world at 45.1 million. India is next with 33.9 million total virus cases.
Brazil, UK, Russia, Turkey, France, Iran, Argentina, and Spain round out the
top ten. Columbia drops to number 11.
COVID-19 has infected 238.1 million people worldwide. 4.9
million people are dead from coronavirus. 215.2 million global citizens have
recovered from China Flu. 90% (215.2/238.1) of the people that become infected
with COVID-19 recover in a reasonable time frame. This percentage has been at
90% to 92% for many months. About 10% of the people that contract coronavirus
have lingering health effects such as long-covid or die.
Worldwide, 2.1% (4.9/238.1) of the people that are infected
with covid die. This number has sat at 2.1%-2.2% for many months. 1 in every 49
people that are infected with the Wuhan Virus around the world will die.
3.1% (238.1/7670) of the world’s population of 7.67 billion
people have been infected with coronavirus; 1 in every 32 people on earth. The Wuhan
Virus has negatively impacted everyone on the planet. 0.06% of the world’s
population (4.9/7670) die from the pandemic; 1 in every 1,600 people.
In the United States, 45.1 million people are infected with covid.
733K Americans are dead. 34.6 million Americans have recovered from coronavirus.
This equates to 76.7% (34.6/45.1) of US citizens recovering after becoming
infected with COVID-19. The recovery percentage has been between 76% and 84% over
the last few months.
America’s rampant obesity problem has greatly added to
deaths and hospitalizations. The sad covid stories shown on cable news television
featuring people that died of the virus or are deathly ill with COVID-19, that
are performing the Whitehouse’s bidding trying to tug at the heart strings and
encourage vaccinations, have one universal theme in common; nearly all the
people suffering or dead from COVID-19 are fat. If you are overweight or obese,
and unvaccinated, call your doctor.
In the US, 1.6% (733/45100) of the people infected with COVID-19
die. This number is sticky at 1.6% to 1.8% for many months. 1 in every 62 US
citizens that are infected with coronavirus die. 0.22% (733/330000) of
Americans have died from COVID-19 which is 1 in every 450 Americans.
The death rate is at 2.1% globally which is higher than the
US at 1.6% reflecting the better health care in America. Poorer nations are at
a disadvantage. Without refrigeration, folks must visit crowded markets many
times during the week to buy meat, fish and other foods exposing themselves to
potential infections.
13.7% (45.1/330) of the American population of 330 million
people have been infected with covid. 1 in every 7 Americans have been stricken
with coronavirus. The minority communities are impacted disproportionately. The
14% solidly contributes towards herd immunity, as explained above, and the
number is likely far larger by the CDC’s own admission, providing natural
antibody protection.
The United States has 18.9% (45.1/238.1) of the COVID-19
cases in the world. 1 in 5 people (5.3 to be exact which is 2 in 11) that become
infected with covid on planet earth are Americans. The US vaccination program
is making a difference. This percentage was 22% about 7 months ago so the drop
is great news for the US but bad news for other nations since their infection
numbers are higher.
The US accounts for 15% (733/4900) of the China Flu deaths
in the world. 1 in 7 people that die from COVID-19 around the world are Americans.
7 months ago, it was 1 in 5. The numbers are going in the right direction for
the US but the improvement is stalling over the last 2 months.
The Keystone Speculator Coronavirus Infection Rate Model,
the Keystone Model for short, is a simple model that predicts when the active
cases chart curves will flatten-out and roll-over lower. The active cases chart
is the ‘flatten the curve’ chart that represents the maximum stress and strain on
the medical system and healthcare workers. Once the active cases chart rolls
over forming the bell shape, the virus is being defeated and healthcare workers
can breathe easier.
The Keystone Model uses the peak in the daily new cases to
forecast the peak and flattening of the active cases curve. The ‘flattening of
the curve’ only pertains to the active cases chart. For communist nations where
the populations must do what they are told or they receive a bullet in their
heads (China), and for smaller authoritarian nations (Eastern European
countries, Africa and Middle East nations), and many Asian nations where
citizens follow government rules without questioning authority (South Korea,
Japan, Singapore, Australia), the active cases curve will peak, on average, 11
days after the peak in daily new cases.
For the Western countries, such as the US and European
nations, the so-called free societies, the active cases curve will peak, on
average, 28 days after the peak in new cases (it takes about 2 weeks longer,
for a free society to tamp down a virus wave than a communist or authoritarian
state mainly because lockdowns cannot be enforced as easily).
During the last few months, the 11 and 28-day timeframes
compress slightly since more is known about handling coronavirus. Thus, a
couple days can be shaved off the current target dates. Further, the Delta wave
is playing out as a fast-moving inverted V pattern and may finish faster than
the allotted days in the model.
All projections below for countries and the US states
continue to use the 11 and 28-day periods for forecasting for consistency. When
the peak in daily new cases occurs, if a subsequent day is within 8% of that
peak top, it is identified as the peak in daily new cases day.
The peak in the daily new cases is easily seen on the bar
charts provided by Worldometer, the CDC and Johns-Hopkins. The daily new cases
bar charts are shown on television news channels with a 7-day moving average
(MA) line which is a smoothing mechanism that identifies the trend.
An update for The Keystone Model is provided since another
10-day period passes, 11 days this time, and more data and information become
available to push the COVID-19 story forward. The Coronavirus Chronology identifies
the real-time hotspots occurring around the world and within the United States.

Worldometer, Johns-Hopkins and CDC data track each other well with the
Worldometer data ahead of the Johns-Hopkins and CDC data by a few days. The
Worldometer data is far superior for forecasting since it is updated more
reliably in real-time.
The countries with rising active cases charts are
highlighted below with the worst nations at the bottom. The United States
remains on the bad list until its active cases curve rolls over more
substantively. Interestingly, the US active cases curve peaks on 10/1/21 at
9.92 million cases the exact day predicted by the Keystone Model. Things are
looking good but give it a couple more days to make absolutely sure that the
bell shape forms.
The peaks in daily new cases are shown and the projected
peaks for active cases are based on the Keystone Model. The peak and flattening
of the active cases curves are extremely important since it represents the maximum
stress on healthcare workers and the medical system.
It will take longer for the active cases charts to roll over
to form the bell shape for those troubled nations at the bottom of the list
(they are still experiencing highs and peaks in their daily new cases).
Hospitalizations lag the daily cases by a week or two and deaths lag
hospitalizations by a week or two.

Central America continues improving. Honduras and Costa Rica are taken off the bad list as their active cases charts flatten. Ditto the DRC (Congo). South Korea that looked very bad a couple weeks ago is beating back the covid demon with its active cases dropping so it was removed from the bad list.
The global hotspot remains in eastern Europe and western
Asia. Serbia is removed from the bad list but Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia,
Ukraine, Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and others remain stuck in the
covid quagmire. Romania is a mess. Moldova is added back onto the list after it
worsens again over the last week. Turkey is on shaky ground and will probably
be added to the bad list next time unless it can push the cases lower.
Russia’s daily new cases chart is shown above. Russia is the
worst covid-infected country on earth currently. 936 Ruskies die yesterday the
deadliest day of the pandemic. The chart shows that all recent days are the
deadliest days of the pandemic. Dirtbag Dictator Putin is hiding in the theater
room of one of his lavish palaces behind the gold-plated popcorn machine.
The UK is not doing well having a tough time at knocking
down the daily new cases. The Brit’s need to refocus their efforts otherwise
there is a risk of the pandemic accelerating again. Finland worsens as it
places restrictions on using the Moderna vaccine for young people.
Cambodia improves. Ditto Vietnam and the Philippines so
Southeast Asia is on the mend. Bangladesh is in great shape. India remains in
good shape but crosses the 450K deaths grim milestone. The remaining sour apples are Singapore, that reports record daily cases and the deadliest day ever last
Tuesday, and Australia that is at record daily cases.
The next list shows the US states struggling with
coronavirus with the worst states listed at the bottom. The peak in daily new
cases and projections for the peaks in active cases are provided as per the
Keystone Model. The flattening and roll over of the active cases curve forming
the bell shape indicates the virus is being defeated and the caseload on
healthcare workers will quickly improve.

What’s going on out there in the thin air? Coloradoans must be passing around joints (marijuana cigarettes; doobies; spleefs) giving each other a buzz, and COVID-19. Colorado needs to refocus its attention on the virus before things get out of hand.
Michigan’s daily new cases chart is shown above. Michigan’s
cases are increasing and the hospitals better ramp up supplies and staff
pronto. STAT! Michigan has a low vaccination rate and many folks are untrusting
of big government which likely are the root causes of the deterioration.
The bad list above is a disappointment since more states
would have been expected to be removed. Only 5 are taken off the list since
their active cases are rolling over and they are on the mend; Oregon, South
Carolina, New Hampshire, West Virginia and Connecticut.
Several southern states remain on the list and perhaps it is
due to the greater use of monoclonal antibodies and how these patients are
counted in the hospital system. Missouri topped-out with daily cases 2 months
ago and its active cases curve has not yet rolled over. This behavior hints at
a data reporting or collection issue. Alabama republican Governor Kay ivey extends
the state of emergency mainly because it allows the state to keep bringing in
out of state healthcare workers to help with the pandemic.
Thus, 5 states are removed from the bad list over the last
week (their active cases curves are dropping) joining the 18 from the prior 3
weeks for a total of 23 states in the good camp and 27 states, on the list
above, in the bad delta camp. Colorado and Michigan are reporting their highest
cases right now so they are the two most rotten covid apples in the bunch.
In a week’s time, another 7 or 8 states should join the good
camp and be removed from the list but that will still leave work to do. The
northern states are getting slapped around by delta these days. Idaho and
Montana are struggling. Some of the buoyancy in cases across the United States
is due to the back-to-school crowds and activity. North Dakota is having a
tough time at tamping down cases.
Wisconsin crosses the 9K deaths grim milestone. Minnesota is
dealing with a major outbreak running out of hospital beds and dealing with
staffing issues. The RSV cases in children are at record levels in Minnesota. Pennsylvania
deaths hit 112 yesterday the deadliest day since February. The northeastern
well-vaccinated states such as Maine, Massachusetts and Vermont are battling
the delta siege.
Interestingly, for the 27 states on the bad list, 24 are
states that are in the northern-half of the United States. Georgia, Louisiana
and Alabama are exceptions. The delta wave that pounded the South has moved on
to the North. Although the assessment on the states is a slight disappointment
with better things expected, the downward acceleration of the US active cases
curve is expected to occur and brighter times should be around the corner.
On the economic front, the West Coast ports remain severely
backed-up with cargo ships. The docks are understaffed as well as the truckers
available to drive the containers to their destinations. It is a mess that is
created by the pandemic that drives prices higher; inflation. Supply chains are
disrupted that will hurt holiday shopping and sales. Food supplies are a
concern of many schools across the United States and the government is lending
a hand.
There are a few million men in the US that would drive
trucks but they smoke pot now and then. There is zero tolerance for any driver
that is under the influence and testing can occur randomly. Marijuana can be
detected in the body for 6 weeks so men do not bother even looking at trucker
jobs since they do not plan to give up weed.
Interestingly, marijuana has no reliable test that can
detect THC content in a human in real-time and estimate if that is enough to impair
driving versus alcohol testing that is known down to a science. This is also
likely a reason behind the bus driver shortage in America. Older folks, that
drive bus as a side job to do in retirement, are now toking on medicinal marijuana
to ease their aches and pains and provide a few laughs, so they cannot
commercially drive anymore let alone cart kids around.
Meanwhile, get ready to vomit. Disney+ Entertainment
releases a documentary on Dr Anthony Fauci. Why isn’t the doctor working on the
pandemic instead of spending time filming a movie? Fauci should join his buddy
Collins and retire. Fauci is a caricature of himself as Tyler Fischer explains.
As Lord Fauci enjoys walking the red carpet, a new stink
develops with documents surfacing how Fauci and his gang at the National Institutes
of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) funded, with US taxpayer money,
gruesome research on dozens of beagle puppies that were killed as part of the
testing. Do you think the dog experimentation is in the Disney documentary? Goofy
and Pluto are running for their lives. The FDA says the testing on the dogs by
the NIH was unnecessary.
From the macabre to the lighthearted, Nurse Goodbody is mad
at unvaccinated Keystone but she never stays mad for long. The smart and pretty
nurse agrees to administer the first vaccine shot into Keystone’s left buttock
cheek, since he is ambidextrous and cannot go a day with a sore arm, but the
booster shot controversy throws a wrench (spanner) into the works. Keystone
delays his first shot since experts have conflicting views on the vaccines that
are still not in use for a year.
Nurse Goodbody is providing a brand-new pair of red Speedo’s
and a new shorty robe as incentives for Keystone to take the vaccine. They are
enticing offerings. He got a new tattoo on his left buttock cheek that will
make the nurse laugh as she administers the vaccine; whenever that may be.
Nurse Goodbody has agreed to wait giving Keystone some breathing room to think
further about the vaccination. Keystone suggested that she may want to wrap the
Speedo’s and shorty robe in shiny paper and provide them as a Christmas gift.
The FDA is busy this month reviewing data on the Moderna and
J&J booster shots as well as the Pfizer 5 to 11 year old vaccination
trials. The CDC advisory panel will then review the FDA findings. Vaccines for
5 to 11 year old’s would probably not occur until the first week in November at
the earliest. Children scream with joy jumping up and down knowing that
Halloween will not be ruined with vaccinations.
There will be lots of controversy with young children
potentially receiving vaccinations. The Moderna vaccine is not being used in
Iceland due to the heart inflammation fears and other Nordic states are not
using the shot on young people. Teen boys appear to be at the highest risk for
myocarditis especially a few days after the second shot. Mom and Dad, watch
junior closely if he receives a second Moderna shot; especially during the 5
days following the shot. Any sign of chest discomfort requires an immediate
call or trip to the doctor for diagnosis and observation.
The studies for vaccinating children should be large with
40K or 50K participants. One of the concerns for the 5 to 11 year old’s is that
the studies are too darn small. The serious worry, and is what the FDA doctors
and scientists will figure out, is if it is statistically more of a risk to
receive the shot and possibility of heart issues, or, not receive the shot and
get the virus. Children have a great track record combatting the virus with
near negligible deaths; only about 500 children have died
from COVID-19 during the entire pandemic. 500 families will never be the same
but it is a small number out of 733K deaths. About 4.2 million kids have been infected with COVID-19 during the pandemic and (only) about 60K hospitalized.
The FDA will have to provide explanations on these matters
this month so parents can make informed decisions. There is ongoing vaccine
hesitancy in the 12 to 18 year old age group so that reflects parents that are
not enthusiastic about the vaccines for teens and children. The same, or
perhaps more caution, would be expected for even younger children. Parents hope
they are making the right decisions no matter what path they choose.
Anecdotally, a lady in Pennsylvania receives the booster
shot with a shingles shot at the same time. The doctor and pharmacy said no
problemmo at taking both shots at the same time. She has been sick and not
feeling right for 3 weeks since taking the shots. Doctors are now saying to
space these two shots one month apart.
Doctors are great at convincingly telling you to do
something when they know it may be pure bull sh*t. It’s the white lab coat.
Wear one of them and people automatically trust your words. Toss a stethoscope
around your neck and use ten-dollar college words and people will believe you
even more.
If you are unvaccinated and you become ill with COVID-19,
DEMAND EARLY TREATMENT! Too many hospitals are telling folks to stay home since
there is nothing they can do at this stage, and then in a couple weeks when
they become real sick, admit them to the hospital, put them on a vent, and then
try to save their lives. It is ridiculous, sick and a reflection of greed since
hospitals make money on this macabre strategy. The leadership has failed during
the last year to educate the public on treatments and therapies other than
vaccinations.
It is critical that you receive early treatment if you test
positive for COVID-19 especially in the case of monoclonal antibody treatments
so you must be proactive. And do not take no for an answer. If your doctor is
stonewalling you telling you nothing can be done in the early stages, screw
that, instead, immediately search for doctors that can help you; the doctors
that actually understand and treat the disease daily.
The US wave 5 is ending on a nationwide basis. The US active
cases chart still needs to drop to clearly form the bell shape shown in the
chart above. That is when the end of the delta wave can be cast in concrete. It
is disappointing that more active cases curves did not roll over for the individual
US states but this is likely due to a slight buoyancy in cases because of the
back-to-school crowds and activities.
Since Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Idaho,
Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland are the worst states currently, these eight
will dictate when the US wave 5 is truly dead and buried. The pandemic is
improving worldwide, and in the United States, and Thanksgiving next month is
shaping up to be a fun holiday with minimal pandemic drama.
Halloween is at the end of this month and will be a great
time with everyone singing and enjoying the Monster Mash waving good-bye to wave 5. The
majority of US states, maybe all, will be on the mend from the delta wave, with
falling active cases, come 10/31/21. Nurse Goodbody told Keystone to take his
Halloween mask off because he will scare children but he wasn’t wearing one.
Note Added Sunday Morning, 10/10/21, at 6:00 AM EST: The US reports 42.4K daily new cases yesterday the least since mid-July but it is a weekend number. Today's cases should be even lower. The 7-day MA drops to 88K daily new cases per day now sub 90K the lowest since August 1st. Sadly, 581 Americans die from the virus yesterday far too many considering all the treatments and therapies available.
Note Added Sunday Morning, 10/10/21, at 6:30 AM EST: Brazil crosses above the 600K deaths grim milestone. Portugal's Director General of Health Graca Freitas proclaims that 85% of the population is vaccinated sharing the noble achievement with the UAE. And not a moment too soon as Portugal crosses the 18K deaths grim milestone. The phones are probably ringing off the hook at the resorts and hotels as travelers book reservations. Portugal, Spain, Italy and Greece are the favorite tourist destinations in Europe known for their beautiful beaches. 83% of the 12 to 17 year old's are vaccinated. Portugal wants the tourists to return and the population agrees by kneeling and rolling up their sleeves. Spain has about 70% of its population vaccinated. Over the next month, Portugal's beaches will have more colorful bikinis decorating the sand than Spain. Dear Lord. Russia reports 29.4K daily new cases a spike higher and only surpassed by one other day of the pandemic; the 29.9K cases on Christmas Eve, 12/24/20. Russia deteriorates by the hour. This is serious stuff. 968 Ruskies die yesterday another deadliest day of the pandemic. 1K deaths per day have to be coming any day forward. Something is going horrifically wrong in Russia. How's that Sputnik V vaccine working out for you, Vlad? Your people are dropping like flies. Australia, that started to improve, goes south again reporting 1.5K daily new cases the most of the pandemic. Australia's active cases rise so there is new trouble brewing in the land Down Under as the demonstrations against the police and military crackdowns also increase. Singapore worsens with 3.7K daily new cases yesterday. The Aussies and Singaporeans better get their act together fast for new waves that are going parabolic.
Note Added Sunday Morning, 10/10/21, at 11:00 AM EST: Doctors Fauci and Collins appear on the Sunday morning political news shows of course touting vaccinations. Lord Fauci says 68 million Americans are unvaccinated and eligible for shots. Note that they never explain where this number comes from. They were touting 90 million eligible Americans for the last couple months. There are many folks with natural antibodies receiving advice from their doctors to not get vaccinated. It is guaranteed the 68 million number does not account for this situation and many other circumstances. They are likely simply applying the percent of people that say they will not get vaccinated in polls to the overall 330 million population. There is about 20% of the population that does not want vaccinated. It was 20% before the vaccines were available and 20% over the last year and is 20% now which is 66 million people (330x0.20). There are people not getting vaccinated for religious and medical reasons. Others had COVID-19 and see no reason to receive the vaccination. The Whitehouse and CDC are likely scraping the bottom of the barrel as far as potential new vaccinations. The elevated vaccination rate lately is due to the booster shots for the eligible population and third shots for the immunocompromised rather than first-time inoculations. The diminutive scientist proclaims that "we are going in the right direction," but "the diminution in cases can bounce back." He loves that ten-dollar college word 'diminution'. Fauci is asked a baited question about holiday gatherings but he does not put his foot in his mouth this time. Instead, he decrees that everyone should have a joyous time with family and "go out and enjoy the holidays." Collins touts the same talking points and also the 68 million unvaccinated folks eligible for shots. Collins and Fauci must have got their stories straight before they started their interviews. They are also partners in crime with the Wuhan Lab leak and gain of function research scandals and controversies. Collins says, "Now is not the time to let your guard down." Collins is asked about implementing vaccine mandates for air travel which would likely create social unrest in America but the doctor says it is "worth discussing." Travelers have to wear masks on airlines. Most airline employees in contact with the public are vaccinated. Virus transmission on airplanes is proven to not be an issue. People become sick with coronavirus from exposure in the terminals or the busses and taxis, and at their destinations, but not from the airplane.
Note Added Sunday Afternoon, 10/10/21: BNC media interviews Dr Lane Rolling who calls hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin "a conspiracy theory" for treating COVID-19. He dismisses the treatments as bunk. Rolling proclaims that ivermectin has "no ability to inhibit or decrease the viral load." Interestingly, Rolling is not enthusiastic about vaccines for children as yet because he says more data and information is needed. CNN interviews Dr Jorge Rodriguez. He is the doctor that says American deaths should run at a 1K to 2K per day pace into December. Rodriguez predicts another surge in infections due to people flocking indoors in wintertime and repeats the Whitehouse-encouraged mantra, "get vaccinated."
Note Added Monday Morning, 10/11/21, at 4:30 AM EST: The US reports 24.7K daily new cases the lowest since July about 3 months ago and the 7-day MA trend line is down to 82K cases per day and dropping. The US active cases chart has 'flattened the curve' but it remains stubbornly elevated. The active cases must drop this week, which is expected, otherwise the delta trouble may be sticky for a couple additional weeks with the northern states battling outbreaks. 517 Americans die yesterday bringing the 7-day MA down to 1.4K deaths per day. The direction of America remains positive. Colorado is crossing the 8K deaths grim milestone and has not provided data for 2 days. Ditto Michigan that crosses the 22.7K deaths grim milestone.
Note Added Monday Morning, 10/11/21, at 5:00 AM EST: The UK is lifting travel restrictions on 47 countries leaving 7 nations on the naughty list. This is an odd move considering that the 7-day MA for daily new cases is over 36K cases per day and rising. The UK should be telling the public to stay vigilant because the daily cases refuse to move lower for the last 2 months but, instead, PM Johnson waves the happy banner and allows people to freely travel again. A deeper dive into the data indicates that the British children and young people are driving the daily cases maintaining the buoyancy in the numbers. Australia is another odd contradiction in play. The land Down Under is reporting daily new cases over 2.3K per day, the most ever, for the last few days. The active cases chart is about to take out the 9/9/21 high which represents record cases in hospitals. Conditions are worsening in Australia on a nationwide basis. Sydney partially reopens after 106 long lockdown days. The natives were getting restless. Sydney boasts of a 70% vaccination rate which allows the relaxing of draconian restrictions. Cops are beating citizens for simply walking in the park because they were supposed to be in lockdown. There are several ugly stories about the heavy-handed mistreatment of Aussies by police and the military enforcing the COVID-19 rules. Melbourne and other locations in Australia remain in lockdown but restrictions will be lifted if they reach the 70% vax rate. Australia is on shaky ground. Singapore is another country with cases worsening but they are relaxing travel restrictions with several countries. It is a bazaar world as if global leadership has never looked at a coronavirus chart in their lives. Malaysia boasts a 90% vaccination rate in the population outdoing Portugal and UAE at 85% vax rates. Italy brags of an 80% vaccination rate. Canada is imposing a vaccine mandate on travelers using air, rail and marine transportation. Your papers, please. You can hear the flight attendant telling the khaki-dressed Canucks, "You are now boarding Socialist Airlines, please show the attendant your vaccine status tattooed on your forehead."
Note Added Monday Morning, 10/11/21, at 8:00 AM EST: Merck seeks emergency authorization for its new oral pill, molnupiravir (it rolls off your tongue; it is pronounced 'mole-new-pee-ra-veer' and place a little more emphasis on the pee sylable), to threat COVID-19. Passengers flying Southwest Airlines are not happy campers some stranded at airports without information on the next flights. Southwest cancels 800 flights on Saturday, 1,000 yesterday and already over 300 today and counting. That is 2,100 flight cancellations in the last 2-1/2 days. A lot of pilots in the airline industry are not vaccinated and do not plan to get the shots. Some of the pilots call in sick today perhaps to flex their union muscles. Southwest says the cancelled flights have nothing to do with the vaccine mandate instead blaming the weather. This excuse is quickly shot down because the other carriers did not have problems to any great extent. Southwest says there are FAA staff shortages creating problems but the FAA quickly fires back that there are no staff shortages. Southwest releases a statement blaming "weather and other external constraints." Were the other constraints a few dozen pilots calling in sick? Perhaps a soft protest against the draconian vaccine mandate? Southwest wants everyone to believe all is fine. It is not. Southwest's stock, LUV, drops -3% in pre-market trading. Pilots do not want blamed for the problems saying the disruptions should have been easily handled by the airline. Southwest does not have a hub instead their crews are scattered to the four winds around the United States. Thus, a small disruption cascades mightily through the system. Crews are in the wrong city then other flights require cancellation and the passenger's tempers flare. The Southwest Airlines story will evolve. People will shy away from traveling if it devolves into a big hassle.
Note Added Monday Morning, 10/11/21, at 9:00 AM EST: Interesting data out of the Keystone State. Pennsylvania says 9% of the COVID-19 infections this year are vaccinated people. 93% of the hospitalizations currently are unvaccinated people. 93% of the deaths are unvaccinated folks. Since 2 shots of the Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna mRNA vaccines constitute a fully-vaccinated person (2 weeks beyond the second shot actually kicks in the full maximum protection), then even more vaccinated people have been infected, hospitalized and died (they only had one shot). Right-wing Texas politician Colonel Allen West, 60, and his wife, Angela, contract COVID-19. His wife is vaccinated but he is not. West is an outspoken critic of mandates and believes in free choice for Americans. West was taking HCQ and ivermectin before the onset of illness. West and his wife have received monoclonal antibody treatments (he is hospitalized), and both appear to be on the road to recovery.
Note Added Monday Morning, 10/11/21, at 11:00 AM EST: Southwest Airlines is a big media story and the jury remains out on the causes of the flight cancellations. A few hundred more flights are cancelled today. Passengers are stranded and livid. A weekend getaway for some turns into a nightmare. LUV stock is unloved today tumbling -5%. United Airlines brags of a 96% employee vaccination rate (although there is some fuzzy math involved like not counting 2K people requesting exemptions), but Southwest Airlines will not release their vax numbers (probably around 70% of the employees are vaccinated). Many pilots do not want a forced vaccination and they fly the birds. Is it more important that you have an excellent pilot or that he or she is vaccinated? Perhaps the flight cancellations are due to a shot across the bow by the pilot's union? The drama continues unfolding. President Biden wants companies to shove vaccine mandates down people's throats but has Sleepy Joe, the modern-day Herbert Hoover, thought through the unintended consequences, like Southwest's headaches? The Southwest situation will return to normal in a few days but many employees will never view the airline the same. When you screw people, they screw you back.
Note Added Monday Afternoon, 10/11/21: Minnesota hospitals reinforce the conclusions of monoclonal antibody studies reporting a 70% reduction in hospitalizations and deaths observed over the last few months. This number has been consistently reported by different studies and doctors, however, talking heads paid to go on the left-leaning media networks to cheerlead vaccines lie and say it is 50% at best, expensive and supplies are limited. Lies. mAb treatments reduce serious illness and death by 70%, cost $1,500 and this is a lot cheaper than $39K plus when the patient lands in the hospital, and Big Pharma says they can supply whatever amount of monoclonal antibody treatments is needed through year end. Isn't it sickening to watch the daily one-trick pony show only focusing on vaccinations while berating other valuable and proven treatments and therapies. It is shameful and another pandemic failure to add to the list.
Note Added Tuesday Morning, 10/12/21, at 4:00 AM EST: The US reports 50K daily new cases for Monday a nice low weekday number. The US active cases curve remains stubbornly flat but it needs to drop. 406 Americans die yesterday. Perhaps the deaths are improving in part due to the wider use of monoclonal antibody treatments. The mAb treatments may also be creating some buoyancy in the active cases curve. Over the last 2 weeks in southwestern Pennsylvania, 5 of Keystone's relatives and acquaintances have tested positive for COVID-19 and each was vaccinated within the last 4 months with either the Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna shots. All are recovering at home although an elderly aunt remains very sick. It has been a disservice to America that people are not educated more about vaccinated folks carrying coronavirus infecting others. Unvaccinated people are berated if they become sick but many times the person that infected them was the vaccinated person denigrating them. Vaccinated people have had a false sense of security ever since the mask rules were lifted for them in mid-May.
Note Added Tuesday Morning, 10/12/21, at 5:00 AM EST: On the world stage, Thailand is relaxing travel restrictions as the COVID-19 recovery continues. Tourism is Thailand's life blood. Australia remains challenged reporting 32K active cases the most ever. Daily cases remain elevated and about 14 Aussies are dying per day from China Flu. Singapore reports 26.3K active cases the most of the pandemic. China ports are backing-up due to storms which will only create more global supply problems. Renting a shipping container from China to Los Angeles is at a record high $20,000. This was $2,000 pre-pandemic. Even if the goods arrive, they will be marked-up higher in price to pay extra transportations costs. Americans are complaining about inflation with prices for everyday goods, such as food and gasoline, rising. The US ports remain backed-up. The trucker shortages will not resolve anytime soon so Americans may be disappointed in the selection of holiday gifts.
Note Added Tuesday Morning, 10/12/21, at 5:50 AM EST: Republican Texas Governor Abbott signs an executive order banning vaccine mandates in the state which defies a federal order. It is legal ping-pong ball with the two political tribes battling for the narrative advantage. Everyone should be glad that the corrupt crony capitalism system is in its last throes. Both Biden and Trump have proven their incompetence in handling the pandemic. The New York Times publishes an article with a catchy headline; "An unvaccinated child is at less risk of serious Covid illness than a vaccinated 70 year old." The article comments on a prior article in the Atlantic titled, "Your Unvaccinated Kid Is Like a Vaccinated Grandma." The Atlantic article highlighted how COVID-19 is mild in children and teens. Of course the Whitehouse and CDC want to control the political narrative and berated the article saying it was not true. Months later, the data shows that it is true. Children are less susceptible to serious illness and infection if they become sick with coronavirus. This will have to be baked into the FDA cake on 10/26/21 when the Pfizer/BioNTech trial data for the 5 to 11 year old's is reviewed and the shots are considered for emergency approval. The youngsters may be eligible for vaccinations, under an emergency approval, in the time period between Halloween and Thanksgiving (in 3 to 6 weeks). Parents with little ones will have to discuss the pros and cons with their doctors and decide what is best for them and their family.
Note Added Tuesday Morning, 10/12/21, at 11:00 AM EST: 4.3 million Americans leave their jobs in August, 3% of the workforce, the highest since 2000 during the dotcom bubble. The COVID-19 delta wave is blamed for the quits. Some quit to take higher-paying jobs which is a good thing. Vaccine mandates will increase the job losses while humorously, the Whitehouse says the communistic mandates will save jobs. 24K Kaiser Permanente employees (nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare workers) in Oregon and California vote to go on strike. Kaiser canned 2,200 unvaccinated workers a few days ago. The union must provide 10 days notice to Kaiser before a strike begins. Brooklyn Nets (professional basketball) superstar Kyrie Irving maintains his unvaccinated status so he will not be permitted to play home games but is eligible to play in the away games. The team says they do not want a part-time player so they cut their nose off to spite their face and say Irving will not play at all. He will lose millions. How refreshing to see a true independent American thinker follow his beliefs. Good on you Kyrie. Irving is a great man and not because he can put a ball through a hoop.
Note Added Tuesday Afternoon, 10/12/21: American Airlines and Southwest Airlines are defying Governor Abbott's decree, likely politically-motivated, banning mandates in Texas. The airlines plan to continue their vaccine mandates. Southwest continues struggling to bring flights back on schedule after the weekend debacle. Unvaccinated Colonel Allen West is recovering from covid in the hospital and he is challenging Abbot in the spring republican primary election in Texas. From his hospital bed, West proclaims that he will not permit mandates if elected and 50 hours later, Abbott signs the executive order (EO) banning mandates (they both bow to the staunch republican voting block in the Lonestar State). Both airlines employ thousands of workers in Texas so things may become messy as the state, the federal government, corporations and the people battle over vaccine mandates. The majority of Americans (remember that most are vaccinated) do not think vaccine mandates should be imposed on workers. Sleepy Joe Biden is on the wrong side of many issues these days as his poll numbers continue falling. The turning point was when Afghani's fell from the sky from airplanes leaving during the withdraw debacle. The tragic scene of people falling to their deaths is disturbing enough but then Biden, who was supposed to be the compassionate guy, showed indifference to the event and tried to play it down. From then to now, Joe "Herbert Hoover" Biden's poll numbers continue lower.
Note Added Tuesday Evening, 10/12/21: The inflation and supply issues are becoming a topic of regular discussion among Americans and that typically does not lead down a happy road. Yahoo publishes an article titled, "Steaks Could Soon Become Champagne-Like Luxury," that attracts lots of eyeballs. Beef prices jump +18%. Gasoline is over $5 per gallon in New York and California (which is uber high for America; the average price for gasoline is $3.15 nationwide; Europeans would love to pay that since their petro prices are always higher). Costco is limiting the purchases of toilet paper. Kraft-Heinz announces price hikes for all products across the board. Even ketchup is not safe from inflation. Cotton prices are at a 10-year record high (which means you will pay more for clothes). Wintertime will be colder for many Americans since their natural gas heating bill will be over 30% higher and fuel oil heating bill will rise over 45% (many poor and disadvantaged regions of the US, such as Appalachia, use fuel oil furnaces to keep warm in the winter; they are screwed once again). Little Sally and Jimmy may be disappointed come Christmastime with their presents sitting in a container on a ship waiting to dock on a West Coast port. The pandemic creates the global supply issues. Computer chips (semiconductors) are in short supply as many Asian factories lose production due to coronavirus outbreaks. Chips require a 5-month lead time and conditions are not improving. Pre-pandemic, the just-in-time-inventory management schemes would deliver chips within days. Companies ditched warehouses that used to store 6-month and more parts inventories embracing the just-in-time philosophy to save money which lowers expenses, raises earnings, and then raises stock prices making the wealthy class richer. The privileged class does not care that the supply chain experiences disarray; they already got theirs (wealth). Automobiles, appliances and many other products are impacted by the chip shortage. Most every product has a chip in it nowadays.
Note Added Wednesday Morning, 10/13/21, at 4:00 AM EST: The US reports 84.2K daily new cases for Tuesday with the 7-day MA down to 88.6K cases per day going sub 90K. The US active cases curve continues to slowly roll over. 1.5 Americans die yesterday. America is on the mend but there are trouble spots in northern states. Minnesota is going to covid H*ll in a handbasket reporting 7.9K daily new cases a big spike higher only surpassed by 2 other days in the pandemic last November nearly a year ago. Idaho cannot catch a break reporting 1.9K daily new cases yesterday only surpassed by 2 other days in the pandemic last December. Oh no. Montana's daily new cases skyrocket to 2.2K a big spike higher and the record high of the entire pandemic. The northern US states are getting slapped around by the delta wave. The outbreaks may subside in quick order, however, since many folks live a more secluded, isolated and rural lifestyle in the northern states. Singapore relaxes travel restrictions but the daily cases remain elevated and the active cases chart is parabolic. Singaporeans may be setting themselves up for further pandemic problems inviting travelers when they do not have a handle on the outbreak. Australia's daily new cases remain at elevated levels with the active cases curve parabolic. Sydney is relaxing restrictions but Melbourne and elsewhere remain in the draconian lockdowns with the police and military making sure everyone obeys, otherwise they will be fined and/or roughed-up. In the land Down Under, the beatings will continue until moral improves.
Note Added Wednesday Morning, 10/13/21, at 5:00 AM EST: The United States is relaxing cross-border travel restrictions with Canada and Mexico. After 19 long months, families can kiss and hug each other again. However, there is a catch. Your papers, please. The Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna and J&J vaccines are accepted but the CDC is currently deciding if Canadians or Mexicans can enter the US if they are protected with different vaccines. For example, with Ruskies dropping like flies over the last few months, does the US want to permit those vaccinated with Sputnik V to freely roam America? Humorously, Dictator Putin is probably inoculated with the Pfizer of Moderna shot instead of his own Sputnik V (comically, the 'V' is supposed to stand for 'victory' but from the start the world calls it Sputnik 5). More pertinent to the Canada-US border is that 1 in 10 Canucks are inoculated with a first dose of AstraZeneca and a second dose of Pfizer/BioNTech. The CDC is reviewing data to possible bless these Canadians allowing them to cross the US threshold. Let them in; don't be a worry-wart. Boston screws over 800 city employees suspending them without pay simply because they are not vaccinated. Florida, controlled by republican Governor DeSantis, fines Leon County 3.6 million for imposing vaccine mandates on government workers resulting in firing of over a dozen employees and stepping on the rights of over 700 other workers. DeSantis proclaims, "It is unacceptable that Leon County violated Florida law, infringed on current and former employees' medical privacy (asking vaccine and health questions) and fired loyal public servants because of their personal health decisions." DeSantis stands on a soap box decreeing that he will "standup for Floridians' jobs, standup for Floridians' livelihoods and standup for freedom."
Note Added Wednesday Morning, 10/13/21, at 6:00 AM EST: CNN and MSNBC (democrat media) keep running the COVID-19 sob stories to encourage people to get vaccinated as per their likely mandate from the Whitehouse. A distraught Mom is grieving over the loss of her 10-year old daughter. She was a cutie-pie but as the picture clearly shows, the young girl was obese. The number of children dying of coronavirus is small in comparison with all other age groups and the kids in caskets had comorbidities across the board the standout consistency is obesity. Teach your kids good eating habits and make them go outside and run around, otherwise they will end up fat. China Flu loves fat adults and children. Democrat House Speaker Pelosi holds a press conference venting frustration at the failure to yet pass the infrastructure and other fiscal support bills to help Americans through the pandemic. To illustrate how far off the reservation the two corrupt political tribes have strayed in America, Pelosi scolds reporters for not doing more to promote vaccinations and cheerlead the pending bills. Hey lady, as Jerry Lewis would scream, it is not the function of the media to perform the bidding of the Whitehouse (although the democrat-controlled media is glad to do so for Biden just as the republican-controlled media, such as Fox News and Newsmax, were happy to cheerlead Trump no matter what happened). The media is supposed to report on the news but nowadays each outlet pledges allegiance to either the democrat tribe or republican tribe and spins the articles and videos in that light. Delta boasts of a 90% employee vaccination rate as they screw the other 10% of the workforce forcing them to pay $200 a month for testing. The airline went from an 85% vaccination compliance to 90% over a month's period. The 10% will be a harder sell. Delta Airlines dispels a rumor on social media that a vaccinated pilot died during a flight.
Note Added Wednesday Afternoon, 10/13/21, at 1:00 PM EST: Physician-scientist Dr Steven Quay performs a forensic study on Wuhan Lab specimens concluding that there has been genetic manipulation of the Nipah Virus. Scientists fear that the Nipah Virus may wreak havoc around the globe someday and it is 80% lethal. Nipah is a direct contact pathogen rather than a respiratory virus like COVID-19. The gain of function research (supported and defended by Fauci and Collins) can modify a direct contact virus into a respiratory virus. This type of experimentation should be halted or intensely regulated. Dangerous research with the Nipah virus must be performed in a Level 4 or higher laboratory but the Wuhan Labs, controlled by the filthy CCP, are lucky to implement Level 2 and 3 safety protocols. One of Quay's findings was that the first 39 people contracting COVID-19 had the exact same virus. This is not normal since each sample should have at least a minor difference. It is as if they were shot with the same serum that is consistent. The WHO warns of a "Disease X" which is what they call a future pandemic that develops from a currently unknown pathogen. It is fear porn and doom and gloom all day long to scare people into getting vaccinated.
Note Added Wednesday Afternoon, 10/13/21, at 3:00 PM EST: President Biden speaks about the ongoing inflation scare and supply back-up of goods in America and around the globe. Biden proclaims that the docks will now operate 24/7. He says UPS, FedEx (the two shipping giants that move packages across the United States) and Walmart (largest US retailer) will expand their efforts to move products faster. Biden claims the efforts will make sure that products are delivered in time for Christmas. It is political blabbering. The things that Biden talks about are already happening. The situation is complex. You can operate the ports 24/7 if you want, but if there are no workers to work, it is meaningless. You can decree that Walmart and the gang will operate 24/7 as well but if there are no truck drivers, the status quo remains. The global bottlenecks will probably not improve until Q1 (January, February, March 2022) and shipping will not be back to normal until Q2 and Q3 (April 2022 through September 2022). It is hilarious to watch Sleepy Joe Biden walk away after each daily mini-talk at the Whitehouse refusing to answer questions. He takes his small geriatric steps to the door while America stares at his back for several seconds. His handlers should choose a room and podium with the exit door closer if he does not answer questions. Trump was the opposite. The orange one would take daily questions during his presidency since he was always a media whore lusting for the cameras and stage lights, but rarely answered the questions instead diverting into his talking points and weaving the political narrative for that day. Different corrupt politicians have different ways of creating non-transparency which is one of the root causes of the downfall of America's crony capitalism system. The truck driver shortage has been ongoing for 2 or 3 decades it is not new. As previously mentioned, lots of young men would love to drive trucks but they puff a joint (marijuana) now and then so they cannot. Instead they dig a ditch or write software programs. If Biden wants to help the supply situation, bring in drivers from the military or National Guard. It is the last thing you want to do but the shortages may become acute. Those women and men can drive any machine under the sun. The military drivers could drive the containers on trucks out to a staging area a few miles away which would alleviate the port traffic allowing more ships to unload. The US truckers, and military drivers, would then drive the rigs to their destinations around the United States. The military folks are not smoking pot so they are a logical fit if you want truck drivers to alleviate the port pile-up quickly. The unions would not be happy but maybe it could be a temporary 30-day lifeline. It is never wise to get the military or National Guard involved in such matters but this is what you are left with after five decades of incompetent leadership and greed that destroyed the American experiment. Leadership on both sides of the aisle are inept nowadays and unable to develop intelligent solutions. Everything is entertainment and hysteria in the bread and circus days with crony capitalism in its last throes.
Note Added Wednesday Evening, 10/13/21, at 7:00 PM EST: The once highly-regarded Cleveland Clinic is disgraced over refusing to perform a kidney transplant on Mike Gannon, 52. The living donor is unvaccinated. Cleveland Clinic changed its rules and now requires both the donor and recipient to be vaccinated. Gannon is vaccinated. The operation should already be completed instead Mike sits by the telephone each day wondering if he will live, or die. Cleveland Clinic will not perform the operation unless the donor gets vaccinated. How sick is that? KFF says 90K American deaths could have been prevented from June through September if the folks were vaccinated. 'What if' scenarios are fun but the counter factual can be weaved into many different patterns, and never proven. What if monoclonal antibody (mAb) treatments were heralded by the Whitehouse this year, instead of ignored, and dozens of clinics were opened in every state? The mAb treatments would have likely saved far more than 90K people but it does not fit with the vaccine narrative. What if the public would have been educated on pre and early treatment protocols using HCQ, ivermectin, antibiotics, steroids, zinc, vitamin D-3 and many other helpful medicines, supplements and treatments? Anything can be what-if'd all day long. Dwell in the present; what is is.

The crowd is maskless enjoying the concert. They were required to be vaccinated or show a negative test during the last 72 hours. It does not appear that the rules are on anyone's minds. They are too busy watching the KISS tongues flap while singing that they want to Rock and Roll All Nite and party every day! You're only young once. The massive California music festival Coachella changes its COVID-19 rules. What's the matter, jackasses, aren't you selling enough tickets for the event in April? Coachella puffed its chest out saying everyone must be vaccinated to attend their events but backtracks and now permits a negative test within 72 hours.
Note Added Wednesday Evening, 10/13/21, at 11:00 PM EST: CNN commentator Dr Sanjay Gupta is interviewed by outspoken podcast host Joe Rogan. Gupta goes into the lion's den (as perceived by the liberals) but appears visibly surprised at the detailed depth of coronavirus knowledge espoused by Rogan. Gupta is taken back slightly by the comparison provided by Rogan that the same lack of fear felt by vaccinated older people that they will not get seriously ill or sick (their reason to be vaccinated) is equal in its logic to parents that do not want their children to be vaccinated since the risk of severe hospitalization and death is small (over 4.2 million children and teens have contracted COVID-19 with 63K hospitalized and only 500 deaths, and at the same time myocarditis is a concern in young people). Gupta does not appear to have a good comeback. Rogan, humorously, thinking out loud, says it may be best to get vaccinated, and then get sick with covid, since the shots protect against serious illness and death, while the infection will provide more robust and comprehensive natural antibodies. Rogan jokes to maybe get vaccinated and then hang out with a lot of dirty people. Again, Gupta does not appear ready to wrap his head around the logic. Rogan calls out CNN for repeatedly stating that he was taking a horse dewormer (ivermectin). Ivermectin is a human drug that billions of people have used around the world. CNN touts the Whitehouse's "get vaccinated" mantra daily while denigrating or ignoring other COVID-19 treatments and therapies. Rogan would not let the subject go since CNN is supposed to be a news organization but was providing lies to the public. Gupta finally buckles and says that his own network, CNN, "should have not said that." Gupta opines, "It (ivermectin) should not be called that (a horse dewormer)." No wonder Americans no longer trust the news media. Gupta may have expected Rogan to be a Neanderthal grunting COVID-19 conspiracy theories instead of an intelligent guy pondering thought experiments. At one point, Gupta says, "We're going real fast (with the discussion)." You know the interview may not be going well for Gupta when he is the doctor and needs the discussion to slow down. It is great to see people discussing the pandemic from different viewpoints which is what America is supposed to be, rather than lemmings, following Uncle Joe Biden, the Pied Piper of vaccinations.
Note Added Thursday Morning, 10/14/21, at 4:00 AM EST: The US reports 99.8K daily new cases; call it 100K. It is not great to see a 100K number but the pandemic continues moving in the right direction. The 7-da MA of daily new cases is 89K. The 3-day MA keeps printing lower lows and lower highs which is all that matters in maintaining the downward trend. The US active cases chart continues slowly rolling over like Aunt Amy after a weekend bender. 1.8K Americans die yesterday. This is not good. A monoclonal antibody clinic pops-up in Pittsburgh, PA, ran by Olympus, the first standalone facility for the mAb treatments (the hospitals have been administering the treatments for a few months) in this area. It is great news and bad news at the same time. It is great that regular folks, both vaccinated and unvaccinated, will have easier access to monoclonal antibodies, however, the government has failed mightily in not having mAb clinics in operation throughout the country this year. One-trick pony Biden, riding his vaccination horse, has the blinders on his head ignoring proven COVID-19 treatments and therapies. Biden and his rich friends must all own PFE, BNTX and MRNA stock. Monoclonal antibody treatments, provided by Regeneron, Eli LiIly and others, are proven to reduce hospitalizations and deaths by over 70%. Alaska hospitals remain under duress. Hospital admissions and patient numbers are down, off the highs in mid-September, but remain elevated and a small spike higher occurs over the last couple weeks. The northern lights have been in view and many hotels are closing their doors for the season so this activity may have created the bump higher in hospital cases over the last couple weeks. Alaska should improve in the coming days and couple weeks with daily new cases peaking 3 weeks ago. Idaho is a complete mess reporting over 2K daily new cases teasing the record for the most ever. Michigan reports 5.4K daily new cases the high for the current wave.
Note Added Thursday Morning, 10/14/21, at 4:30 AM EST: 167 Pennsylvanians die yesterday the most of the delta wave and a number not seen since mid-February. Two co-volunteer friends of Keystone's that help run the thrift store that helps folks in a run-down drug-infested town east of Pittsburgh have tested positive for COVID-19. Both are vaccinated. This is getting ridiculous. Over the last 2 weeks, 10 relatives and friends of Keystone (including their family members) have become sick with covid, all in the southwestern Pennsylvania area east of Pittsburgh, and all were double-vaccinated with either Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna vaccines. It may be a fluke and statistical anomaly but it really gets your attention. One conclusion is that the vaccines do wane substantively after 6 months since most of the folks stricken had their shots at the start of the year. Fortunately, so far, all 10 people are doing okay and recovering at home although one elderly gentlemen and one lady in the group of 10 are having a tough time. They both were given the mAb treatments. Another lady at the store yesterday said she and her husband received the booster shot (third dose). Both were sick for a couple days, not feeling 100%, but are fine now. Pennsylvania is holding the delta wave in check but remains in the thick of the fight nonetheless. One observation of the 10 breakthrough cases is that each 2 or 3-person mini-outbreak occurs after someone visits a doctor's office or hospital or is in contact with a healthcare worker. If you are regularly receiving medical attention, be on guard and take precautions when you visit any medical facility which may be where many infections are originating.
Note Added Thursday Morning, 10/14/21, at 6:00 AM EST: An American archbishop defies Pope Francis and the Catholic Church position on vaccines and instead allows some Catholic troops to refuse the vaccine on religious grounds. Bali, Indonesia, is opening up travel to and from China, France and several other nations, to get its tourism industry back on track. Travelers must be double-vaccinated and quarantine for 5 days. Notably absent from the list are the US, Australia and Singapore. Bali will serve as an entry point for international travelers visiting the island nation.
Note Added Thursday Morning, 10/14/21, at 10:00 AM EST: The FDA is meeting today to discuss the Moderna booster shots. Tomorrow the FDA panel reviews the J&J booster shots and mixing and matching of vaccines. An NIH study shows that, for folks that received the one-shot J&J vaccine, a second J&J booster shot helps but a second shot of either the Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna vaccines as a booster greatly amplifies the protection. In other words, the Johnson & Johnson vaccine (remember J&J is new to the vaccine game), is not 'one and done' it is 'one and not done' and evolves into 'one and not done and for the next one try the other one' which is not a good reflection on Johnny John. CVS pharmacies report vaccination rates at twice the expectations over the last month. Lots of folks are getting their booster shots.
Note Added Thursday Afternoon, 10/14/21, at 3:00 PM EST: The Joe Rogan and Dr Sanjay Gupta interview last evening receives lots of attention in the news and on social media. The democrat media, such as CNN, where Gupta is a commentator, plays a few clips from the discussion and of course drives home the Whitehouse's narrative to "get vaccinated." Equally predictable is the right-leaning press, such as Fox News, Newsmax and AM talk radio, saying that Rogan ate Gupta's lunch. Rogan did win the interview simply because he was better prepared. Gupta appeared tired and not ready for the detailed discussion on COVID-19 or, perhaps more correctly, did not expect such a detailed talk. CNN television host Don Lemon, that provides a liberal perspective on the daily news, tries to mop-up the situation defending Gupta's appearance and dispelling the ivermectin discussion claiming that CNN never said Rogan took a horse dewormer. It is more lies on top of lies. For many days, CNN denigrated Rogan saying he was taking ivermectin the horse dewormer. CNN gets cute saying it is a horse dewormer (true for the animal grade ivermectin) insinuating that Rogan is taking the same thing which he is not. Rogan was/is taking the human-grade ivermectin medicine. Many studies around the world and real-use data prove its effectiveness in treating coronavirus. Many US doctors and scientists pooh-pooh ivermectin saying they do not have studies for ivermectin so the question is why have you been sitting on your *ss for 1-1/2 years? You could have had all the studies in the world in that time frame. They did not want another treatment since it could have interfered with vaccine emergency approval and ivermectin also disrupts the daily "get vaccinated" cheerleading. Ivermectin is an approved drug for humans (not yet for COVID-19 because the US medical idiots have not performed the studies and choose to ignore worldwide studies), receiving the Nobel Prize in 2015, and used by billions of people on earth to treat parasitic infections and other ailments. Animal-grade ivermectin is used in the veterinary industry to treat horses so it is a dirty untruth to say Rogan was taking a horse dewormer. CNN is caught with their pants down and Sleepy Joe is standing behind them smiling. The dirty truth behind the media ignoring and denigrating COVID-19 treatments and therapies such as HCQ, ivermectin and monoclonal antibodies, is that emergency approval would likely not be granted to the vaccines if there were other treatments available. The easiest way to push the vaccines through the emergency approval process is to simply ignore the other treatments used around the world, and in the US, saying there is no medicine or treatments available to treat COVID-19 (which is, and was, untrue). This is America.
Note Added Thursday Evening, 10/14/21, at 5:00 PM EST: The FDA votes unanimously recommending the Moderna vaccine booster shot for people over 65 years, those with underlying health conditions and those at-risk (healthcare workers, medics, grocery store workers, etc...), who had their second shot 6 months or more ago, which was expected; same dealio as the Pfizer booster shot. The CDC advisory panel will review the FDA's recommendation and push it through so many Americans that received the Moderna vaccine would be eligible for booster shots next week. A small number of myocarditis cases are appearing in Israel for those receiving third shots but the small Moderna trial reviewed by the FDA shows no cases of myocarditis. Just the same, it is smart to discuss with your doctor any third shot of Moderna into a young person's body. A nuanced discussion is taking place about what is the main goal of the vaccines? The 2-shot mRNA vaccines help prevent hospitalization and death and this protection continues. The vaccines do not prevent infections and transmission as clearly illustrated by the increase in breakthrough infections these days. The term 'breakthrough cases' is now receiving scrutiny because some say only the severe cases should be counted as breakthrough cases while others say all infections that occur in double-vaccinated people should be called breakthrough cases. People simply want to manipulate the data in their favor supporting their narratives. Since the vaccines wane after 6 months, especially the Pfizer/BioNTech shots, the pundits say it important to get the booster which helps increase the protection from infection, but, the protection against severe hospitalization and death remain status quo somewhat independent of getting the booster shot. Vaccines protect against hospitalization and death but only have limited protection against infections and transmission. President Biden, Mister Vaccination, quietly tells state governors to get ready for vaccinations for the 5 to 11 year old's next month. Former President Bill Clinton is in the hospital since Tuesday and in the ICU as a precaution. News sources say the illness is not covid related and instead is a urinary infection that worsened. Slick Willie is expected to recover fine and be released from the hospital in a day or two. It is interesting that the news immediately makes the point that Clinton does not have COVID-19.
Note Added Thursday Evening, 10/14/21, at 7:00 PM EST: Southwest Airlines is back to normal operation after the weekend debacle when pilots called off sick creating travel mayhem. Southwest proclaims that the flight cancellations and delays have nothing to do with the pilots. Yeah, sure. Hey idiots, your birds could not fly because you did not have pilots sitting in the cockpit. Duh. Southwest decrees that the flight delays are not due to push-back against the vaccine mandates. President Biden spoke for nine minutes today and says the Southwest Airlines delays were not caused by vaccine mandates. Sounds like the two corroborated a story, doesn't it? Southwest is telling all of you stupid Americans to 'believe us and the president' and not your lying eyes. Biden proclaims, "Vaccination requirements should not be another issue that divides us." Agreed, dude, so ditch the vaccine mandates. Instead, the president says in the next sentence that all will be fine if the 66 million remaining Americans (his number) are vaccinated. In other words, we can all get along if you kneel in front of me and do what I say. Clueless Joe is the one dividing the country with his vaccine mandate. The Whitehouse problems escalate daily with Chief of Staff Ron Klain retweeting a message from Jason Furman, former President Obama's economic advisor, that says inflation is a "high-class" problem. It insinuates that the inflation everyone is talking about and seeing at the gasoline pump, grocery store and in daily bills, is only a problem for wealthy period That was stupid and displays economic ignorance. The poor, disadvantaged and lower class are always the people hurt more when inflation runs rampant. Everywhere the Whitehouse steps is another pile of horse manure. Humorously, Biden's handlers placed him in a smaller room today with the exit door only a few feet away. When Sleepy Joe finished the short speech, he walked away without answering questions as usual, and ducked out the door quickly rather than walking across a room with journalists yelling questions.
Note Added Thursday Evening, 10/14/21, at 8:00 PM EST: The vaccine mandate sh*t is hitting the fan in Chicago this weekend. Mayor LIghtfoot is in a standoff with the police union on the vaccine mandate. Hundreds of police officers do not plan to get vaccinated so they will be kicked to the curb by the city. Lightfoot backpedals slightly since the vaccine mandate deadline is tomorrow. She says the officers that are to be placed on unpaid leave will not be identified and told for a few days. Obviously, she is worried about the weekend when lots of bloodshed occurs in Chicago mainly black on black shootings. The cops may take a page out of the Southwest pilots playbook and call in sick this weekend which would wreak havoc in Chicago. The Windy City may be extra bloody this weekend. Labor strikes are occurring around the United States both related and unrelated to coronavirus issues such as vaccine mandates. 40% of the TSA (Transportation Security Administration) remains unvaccinated despite Biden's proclamation that all federal employees are under a vaccine mandate. This situation may create mayhem across the US as the holidays quickly approach (airport congestion due to lack of TSA workers). The vaccine zealots keep pounding their heads against the wall telling people to get vaccinated; when they stop they will realize that their headache goes away.
Note Added Friday Morning, 10/15/21, at 4:00 AM EST: The US reports 90K daily new cases a good number since it is lower than Wednesday's 101K cases. The 7-day MA is down to 86K cases per day. 1.7K Americans die yesterday dropping like flies. Idaho and Alaska remain under duress with hospitals at capacity. Cases in Washington state pop-up slightly no doubt due to more patient overflow from Idaho. Colorado reports 3.2K daily new cases the most for the delta wave and highest since early January. Colorado hospitals will likely look like Alaska and Idaho in a week or so. Ditto Michigan at record high cases for the delta wave. 63 Michiganders die yesterday the deadliest day of the delta wave. Ding, ding, ding. Russia is a Basket Case reporting 31.3K daily new cases a record for the pandemic. 986 Russians die yesterday another deadliest day ever. Russia infects Ukraine that is now spinning out of control. Ukraine reports 19K daily new cases almost the most ever. Nearly 900 Ukrainians die over the last 2 days. Oh no. You dumb Brits. Playing around when you should have remained vigilant. Lots of British children are getting COVID-19 in the UK that reports over 45K daily new cases a substantive spike higher. Conditions are deteriorating in the UK and it does not seem like the leadership has a clue. UK leaders need to tell people to stay away from each other because infections are starting to get out of control again. A stink develops at a coronavirus testing laboratory in central England. Reuters reports that the lab may have given 43K false negative test results. That is bad. The lab is suspended. No wonder the daily new cases are spinning out of control in the UK again. A Brit will feel sick, get a test, and the result will be negative. They go out and celebrate seeing friends, dining, catching a concert event, and now realize they had COVID-19 the whole time spreading it far and wide over the countryside. Boom. Australia reports 2.7K daily new cases the most ever. The nations that pursued a zero-covid strategy such as Australia, Singapore, New Zealand and China, are, or perhaps will, pay a price going forward. The rest of the world paid its coronavirus dues with many infections and deaths and the disease may now seek out the juiciest cache of victims in the zero-covid nations. 15 Singaporeans die yesterday the deadliest day ever.
Note Added Friday Morning, 10/15/21, at 9:00 AM EST: The FDA meets today to discuss the J&J booster shots. The NIH study on mixing and matching vaccines shows better efficacy when one of the mRNA vaccines are given as the booster, or second, shot, for the folks that are vaccinated with the J&J first shot. It will be interesting to see what the FDA recommends as they say it will be interesting to see what Johnson & Johnson brings to the table. New York Governor Hochul, that took over for the disgraced Casanova Cuomo, apologizes to the families of nursing home patients that died from COVID-19. Cuomo sent sick patients back to nursing homes early in the pandemic which infected other patients and workers with thousands dying. The families continue demanding a full investigation into the tragedy. The CDC continues fear-mongering to encourage vaccinations saying that the unvaccinated are at 11 times the risk of dying from COVID-19 as compared to vaccinated folks. Maybe it convinced one person to run out and get vaccinated for the first time.
Note Added Friday Morning, 10/15/21, at 10:00 AM EST: Tragic news. British conservative lawmaker David Amess is stabbed to death by a sick 25-year old man of Somalian descent. Amess is the second member of the British parliament murderer in the last 5 years. Jo Cox was murdered in June 2016 during Brexit which is chronicled in the "Daily Chronology of Global Markets and World Economics 2016-06." The tragic news will consume the UK over the coming days as the coronavirus cases climb higher.
Note Added Friday Afternoon, 10/15/21: The FDA approves booster shots for anyone over 18 years old that received the 'one and not done' J&J vaccine first shot. The FDA punts on the mixing and matching of vaccines since the data sets are far too small. Over time, they expect more data and decisions on the mixing and matching. The J&J vaccine is officially 'two shots and done' instead of the highly-marketed 'one and done' when the vaccine was made available but it does not rhyme.
Note Added Saturday Morning, 10/16/21, at 4:00 AM EST: The US reports 93K daily new cases a good number since Friday numbers are usually the largest. The 7-day MA is at 85K cases per day. 1.7K Americans die yesterday. The deaths continue moving lower with the 7-day MA at 1.4K deaths per day but it is perplexing considering the vaccinations, natural immunities, monoclonal antibody treatments and the delta wave subsiding for the last month. Something is amiss. Perhaps the methodology of counting deaths is different. There has to be a reason that daily deaths remain far too high. The vaccines wane dramatically after 6 months but the overconfident vaccinated folks continue strutting around maskless yelling and spitting on others to get vaccinated. Using the 6-month time line, the folks that were vaccinated from January through April do not have the protection that they had when they received the mRNA shots. Specifically, and interestingly, the delta wave started in sync with the 6-month waning of vaccines in July. Isn't it convenient to blame the unvaccinated folks for everything that goes wrong with the pandemic but in actuality it is likely the vaccinated that have been spreading the bulk of the virus since the US wave 5, the delta wave, started in June/July. Some of the Americans vaccinated between January and April may only have 40% to 50% protection as the efficacy wanes but they walk around maskless each day directly interacting with dozens of people.
Note Added Saturday Morning, 10/16/21, at 4:30 AM EST: Several northern states across America continue battling the Delta variant. New York is having difficulty in tamping down cases with the 7-day MA of daily new cases flatlining at 4.8K cases per day for the last 2 months. Pennsylvania democrat Governor Wolfe, performing the bidding of President Biden, announces a $5 million plan for vaccine outreach. Wolfe, with Biden's hand up the back of his suit jacket, mouths the edict, "The goal is to vaccinate everyone eligible." Therein lies the rub because who decides whom is eligible? Many people had COVID-19 and their doctors are telling them to hold off on vaccination but the 66 million eligible people number touted by the president includes these folks. A more correct number is likely around 30 to 40 million eligible Americans for vaccinations but one-half or more will likely never be vaccinated. Biden is creating stress and animosity in America pitting citizen against citizen as he scrapes the bottom of the vaccination barrel for a few million remaining arms. Is it worth it?
Note Added Saturday Morning, 10/16/21, at 5:00 AM EST: Russia tumbles deeper into the covid morass. 32.2K Ruskies are infected with COVID-19 yesterday and 998 die both are records for the pandemic. Russia's daily deaths are a coffin nail away from 1K per day. Where's Vlad? Bueller? Vlad? UK daily cases hit 45K yesterday which will create duress over the coming month as the nation deals with the death of British parliament member Amess. The protests are becoming more violent in Italy due to the "Green Pass." To work in Italy, citizens must show their vaccination papers, please. The vaccine passport also permits Italians to attend events and concerts and participate in everyday life. It is watching the birth of Marxism. 80% of Italians are vaccinated so the draconian control appears excessive. Tens of thousands of protestors are in the streets chanting, "No Green Pass," pushing back against the communistic edict.
Note Added Saturday Morning, 10/16/21, at 5:30 AM EST: The United States sinks deeper into the vaccine mandate quagmire. Stupid leadership never thinks about unintended consequences. Unvaccinated folks, that expect their company to screw them with mandatory vaccinations, are calling off sick and taking vacation time before they are canned leaving the businesses further short-handed. This is the ole motto, "Screw them before they screw you." This mentality is now born and will grow in the United States. San Francisco, plagued with homelessness, human feces on the sidewalks and crime, places 180 police, sheriffs and first responders on unpaid leave because they would not kneel and roll up their sleeves. As the US wave 5, the delta wave, subsides and cases move way lower, hopefully, perhaps the vaccine mandate nonsense will fade away. The US is in the herd immunity zone already so people are in a tizzy when they should be taking a chill pill. The increasing inflation (prices for goods and services rising) is creating American angst on top of the 20-month pandemic.
Note Added Saturday Morning, 10/16/21, at 6:00 AM EST: The CDC releases holiday guidelines for gatherings (parties) recommending masks indoors and spending time outdoors if possible. Of course, the CDC tells everyone to get vaccinated especially if there are young children in the group. The CDC says both vaccinated and unvaccinated people should wear masks at an indoor holiday gathering. It is hard to eat figgy pudding when covered in bubble wrap. Mistletoe is no fun with masks.
Note Added Sunday Morning, 10/17/21, at 4:00 AM EST: The US reports 34K daily new cases the lowest in 3 months. The 7-day MA trend line for US daily cases drops below 80K to 78K cases per day. 464 Americans die from China Flu yesterday with the 7-day MA dropping to 1.3K deaths per day. Pennsylvania exceeds 1.5 million total coronavirus cases. Oh no. Vermont, a highly vaccinated state that has been touted as the gold standard, reports 339 daily new cases for yesterday, on a Saturday, the most ever. Would it be correct to assume that the bulk of the spread in Vermont is occurring among vaccinated folks (since most people are vaccinated)? The CDC relaxed the US mask guidelines for vaccinated people in mid-May to entice folks to take the shots. Meanwhile, the people that ran out right away to get vaccinated between January and April, lots of older folks, and healthcare workers, are experiencing a waning of the vaccine efficacy after 6 months. Vaccinated Americans are likely overconfident in the protection they have and are playing an active roll in spreading the Delta variant across the country. The selling point for the vaccines, however, remains that severe illness and death can be avoided, although each week more infections and transmission are occurring with vaccinated people especially the elderly. Vermont, Colorado, Idaho and Michigan remain stuck in the covid quagmire. Minnesota and Montana should improve over the coming days.
Note Added Sunday Morning, 10/17/21, at 4:30 AM EST: The world exceeds 4.9 million deaths from the Wuhan Virus. It is an epic tragedy that started on communist China's soil. Over 241 million global citizens have been infected and the number can only be higher. The world's population is 7.7 billion. Thus, 0.06%, or 1 in every 1,600 people on earth, have died from the China Flu (49/77000=0.0006=0.06%). For the total global cases, 3.13%, or 1 in every 32 people on earth, have been infected with COVID-19 (241/7700=0.0313=3.13%).
Note Added Sunday Morning, 10/17/21, at 4:45 AM EST: Russia reports 33.2K daily new cases another record high for the pandemic. 1,002 Ruskies die exceeding 1K for the first time. Russians are dropping face down into their borscht. Russia is the worst-hit country on earth currently. Only 31% of the nation is vaccinated and winter is at hand with folks spending more time indoors breathing on each other. A recent poll shows 52%, over one-half of the country, does not want to take their own Russian-made vaccines such as Sputnik V. Argentina has started to vaccinate children from 3 to 11 years old. Hopefully, they know what they are doing. Protests and riots continue in Italy and Switzerland as citizens rise up against the politician's draconian edicts (green pass or health pass) that want to control everyday life.
Note Added Sunday Morning, 10/17/21, at 5:00 AM EST: Lord Fauci is performing morning calisthenics preparing for the Sunday morning political talk shows on US television. Fauci is appearing on ABC This Week and Fox News Sunday. You can always count on Tony to stir the coronavirus stew and serve-up controversy. Fauci never met a camera he did not like.
Note Added Sunday Morning, 10/17/21, at 11:00 AM EST: On Fox News Sunday, Dr Fauci says, "It's very, very clear that there's waning immunity (in the vaccines) and that we do need to boost individuals who've received any of the three products that we've been dealing with right now (Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna and J&J). Commentator Chris Wallace says wave 4 is decreasing (it is actually US wave 5 as the charts above show; the delta wave) and asks Fauci if a wave 5 (which would actually be US wave 6) will occur after the delta wave. As would be expected, Fauci goes into the 'get vaccinated' diatribe. He proclaims, "The problem is, as we all know, we still have approximately 66 million people who are eligible to be vaccinated who are not vaccinated." This number is bogus and likely pulled out of thin air based on applying 20% to the 330 million US population. Many Americans are being told by their doctors to not take the shot since they have adequate antibody protection but this is not allotted for in the 66 million number as well as other situations that result in people not planning to be vaccinated. "The degree to which we continue to come down in that slope (charts moving lower) will depend on how well we do about getting more people vaccinated." Wrong. There were more people getting vaccinated when wave 5 started and went parabolic. Fauci spouts a lot of rhetoric and comments that he would find difficult to back up with data. The unvaccinated are the lepers of modern-day society labeled that way by the elite medical class. Fauci says vaccinated people can enjoy the holidays. He says the unvaccinated folks should wear a mask indoors. Fauci decrees that the unvaccinated need to take the shots because "it will make it much easier for you to enjoy the kinds of things in society that you'd like to enjoy anyway." In other words, be one of us, kneel and take on the Mark of the Beast. Fauci proclaims, "When you're in a public health crisis, sometimes unusual situations require unusual actions. And in this case, it's things like mandating, be they mask or vaccinations, they're very important." So declares Lord Fauci. Wallace mentions the Wuhan Lab gain of function research in passing (as an agreement for Fauci to appear on the republican media outlet Fox News, there was likely a stipulation that he would not be directly asked about such matters), and the potential loss of jobs by police and others due to the vaccine mandates, as part of a broader question as to why Fauci thinks he has become a controversial figure during the pandemic. Wallace asks if he has done anything to contribute to the controversy. Arrogant Fauci immediately dismisses any culpability on his part and says the only people that do not care for him are people that promote conspiracy theories. In other words, if you disagree with anything Lord Fauci decrees, you are automatically a conspiracy theorist. It takes a big ego to dribble such dribble. Fauci steps on his soapbox, with an index finger pointed skyward, proclaiming, "I try very hard (is) to be guided by the truth." Any street-savvy kid knows to never trust someone that keeps telling you that they are honest.
Note Added Sunday Morning, 10/17/21, at 11:30 AM EST: On ABC, democrat-controlled media, Fauci is asked about expanding the mRNA boosters to people younger than 65 years old. He is waiting on more data. An Israeli study shows that the 40 to 60 year old age group experiences worthwhile improvement in efficacy with a booster shot. Fauci repeats his morning soundbite that the vaccinated can enjoy the holidays and have fun but he does not mentions the unHoly, unwashed unvaccinated this time. NBC, which is democrat media, calls Dr Fauci out for being incorrect in predicting that crowded football stadiums would be superspreader events. Say what? The democrat media is eating one of their own? The crowded football games are proven to not be superspreader events. Of course, the republican media such as Fox News, Newsmax and AM talk radio, have a field day highlighting the Fauci error. NBC has huge contracts to broadcast the football games with billions of dollars on the line and do not want the negative press. Money rules all human decisions and behavior. NBC tosses Fauci under the bus because the football money is more important. Fauci never admits fault perhaps one of the reasons many people do not care for the man.
Note Added Sunday Afternoon, 10/17/21: The main selling point of the vaccinations is the prevention of severe hospitalization and death. The latest data, however, probably due to the waning efficacy of the vaccines over multiple months, shows that for vaccinated people over 70 years old, the risk of hospitalization and death is no longer nil. In other words, elderly vaccinated people, albeit small numbers, are being hospitalized and dying. South Carolina sports celebrity Tim Hill is fired from Cumulus Radio for failing to get vaccinated. Hill says, "I have three boys and tell them to stand up for what they believe in. It is my job to teach them that." Only one-half of Texans (52%) and South Carolinians (53%) are vaccinated so the folks in these states are obviously opting-out of the multiple-shot vaccine program; period. Houston Methodist CEO Marc Boom brags that he was the first hospital mandating vaccines last March. Boom boasts that vaccines work and says 98% of the workforce is vaccinated and 153 healthcare employees were fired. Boom does not tell you that the hospital is being sued by the fired employees to get their jobs back since Texas Governor Abbott has signed a decree that mandates are not permitted. The hospital needs to hire more lawyers. President Biden and First Lady Jill are videotaped last evening walking through a restaurant, indoors, unmasked. Another day of hypocrisy where the noble ruling elite class lives by different rules than the peasants. 'Do as I say, not as I do' and 'rules for thee, not for me', are the mantra's of the elite privileged class. Wealthy and elite Americans, that do not follow the covid rules, love dining at their fancy expensive restaurants as they spout edicts to the huddled masses.
Note Added Monday Morning, 10/18/21, at 5:00 AM EST: The US reports only 18K daily new cases the lowest number since 7/6/21 at the Independence Day lows. Only 161 Americans die yesterday finally a low number the least since 7/11/21. They are Sunday numbers which would be expected to be the lowest of the week. The US continues in the right direction. The UK does not. Something is amiss in England as the Brits deal with the loss of MP Amess. The UK reports over 45K daily new cases the most since July with the infections increasing steadily for the last month. Where's PM Boris Johnson? Bueller? Johnson? Bueller? There is concern over a 'Delta Plus' variant appearing in the UK. The new variant is a subvariant of delta and is in the US but decreasing. It does not appear to be a concern at this time and it is hard to imagine any variant that would be more transmissible than delta. The new variant in the UK has a mutation in the spike protein which may impact vaccine efficacy.
Note Added Monday Morning, 10/18/21, at 8:00 AM EST: Fully vaccinated former Secretary of State General Colin Powell, 84, dies from COVID-19 and other health complications; a breakthrough death. Powell had a shot to become the first black president but he touted the weapons of mass destruction narrative to Congress and the UN as an excuse for President Bush and the US military to wage war in Iraq, but there was no WMD. Saddam Hussein, leader of Iraq, made the mistake of saying he would begin trading oil in non-US dollars; that was stupid signing his own death warrant. Saddam was hung at the end of a rope for threatening to stray from the US buck; the world's reserve currency. Powell's popularity faded and his stature diminished once it was discovered that there was no WMD in Iraq. Powell was a double vaccinated black man that dies from coronavirus which will make the vaccines an even harder sell to the hesitant black community.
Note Added Monday Morning, 10/18/21, at 11:00 AM EST: The media is pumping the Colin Powell story all morning long. The democrat media is emphasizing Powell's blood cancer, age and Parkinson's for his passing (to stop any negativity against vaccinations) instead of the 900-pound gorilla sitting on the gurney; coronavirus. Powell's family say he died of covid. Powell was double vaccinated with the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine and planned on getting the booster shot. The CDC is meeting on Wednesday and Thursday to discuss the Moderna booster shots. The CDC says an unvaccinated person is 11 times more likely to die from COVID-19 than an unvaccinated person. Unvaccinated folks don't care. Live for today, don't worry about tomorrow.
