SPX Daily Chart Showing Bradley Turn Dates Major Turn Date 3/16/12

The double circles are major Bradley turn dates, note how the major turn date marked the July 2011 top. The 12/28/11 major Bradley turn date resulted in only a stutter step, then market melt-up. A look back at 2011 shows how the Bradlley turns were very accurate at identifying market trend changes. Remember, the Bradley dates do not identify direction, the date only identifies where a trend change will occur. Thus, if the markets are trending up a reversal down would be in order, or visa versa, but once in a while an acceleration move occurs where the Bradley date results in a melt-up or melt-down move. The drama builds since now we are in a major Bradley turn window, this week adn next, especially now thru next Wednesday, 3/21/12, with the actual turn date on Friday, 3/16/12, where the double circles are now shown for the current prints.

So watch the coming days closely to see if perhaps a significant market top is identified by the Bradley model. Keep yourself strapped in, the ride may be quite exciting. The 2012 Bradley turn dates are 1/11, 1/28, 2/16, 2/22, 3/16, 4/11, 4/23, 6/12, 7/28, 8/14, 8/25, 9/30, 10/9, 11/1, 11/14, 12/22 and 1/20/13. The major turn dates are 12/28/11, 3/16/12, 6/12/12, 7/28/12, and 12/22/12. This information is for educational and entertainment purposes only. Do not invest based on anything you read or view here. 1. Excellent article, and yes, the MAJOR Bradley Turn Date is this Friday (March 16th).

Bradley Turn Dates, as we have discussed in market news and opinions, have about a 70% accuracy in labeling a market turn. The last one occurred on December 28th, and arguably, the market actually turned direction on December 20th. Usually, market turns are +/- 4 days, but last time the turn came 8 calendars early (perhaps a bit exaggerated, due to extremely light volume and the half trading day around Christmas.)

It is conceivable that the market may melt-up from here until mid-June. However, statistically, the odds do favor a market reversal lower imminently.

    Good luck, and good trading!

  2. Hello Kevin, looks like we are on the same page. The major turns this year are now, June 12th, July 28th and then December 22nd. Looks like a wild ride in the summer time.
