Keybot the Quant Turns Bullish

These algorithm turns are becoming a routine now, which is very uncharacteristic market behavior.  The flips from bear to bull, bull to bear now back to bull indicate the indecision in the markets currently.  Higher financials (XLF over 13) and lower volatility (VIX under 30.45) provide the bull fuel today. Keybot the Quant flipped long at the open at SPX 1251. Nine handles were gained for the short side trade for the algo program itself although the actual trading gave back a percent. As always, watch for a whipsaw move after a turn. In these jumpy flaky markets currently, a whipsaw is definitely in play today or Monday.

11/11/11: Keybot the Quant flipped to the long side at 9:30 AM at SPX 1251; for the year thus far SPX Benchmark is down 0.6%; Keybot is up 24.3%; Keybot actual trading is up 28.9%. Stay on guard for a whipsaw today or Monday.
