A -2738 number is serious biz, a large washout on the down side, thus, a snap back rally would be anticipated for the indexes from here as occurred with the other red circles. Note Added 8/19/11 at 6:41 PM EST: Today NYAD prints -1576. The NYA, as well as the other major indexes all dropped about 1.5% today. Thus, lower lows in the indexes were printed from Thursday to Friday but the NYAD did not print a lower number. This is an encouraging sign of a temporary market bottom.
