Keybot flipped to the long side at the open. The big jump in the semiconductor sector (over 4% today) pushed the SPX up 1.3% at the open. Apple's earnings this evening should help keep a bid under technology.
Sectors of current interest to Keybot include the bullish semi's, retail, utilities, commodities ex copper and low volatility. On the bearish side, financials and copper. The algorithm is keying in on copper now so use this as a tool to gauge if the move up in the indexes continues or fizzles. More simply, if you see copper moving up in the next few days, the indexes will remain bullish, but, if copper, as well as financials do not get the memo on the rally, then the rally will not venture far.
