By K E Stone (Keystone)
It is that time again. The silly season when corrupt
republicans and democrats lie to the American people to get votes. Such is America’s
crony capitalism system. As of this writing, nine days before the election (and
this article will provide updates through the 11/5/24 election decision), the
republicans are strutting around with their chests puffed-out believing that
the late momentum is swinging in King Donnie’s favor. The democrats are gloomy
thinking that their election hopes may be slipping away.
The political and betting polls are cited by republicans
proclaiming that the election may be a red sweep (Trump wins the presidency,
and the republicans take control of the Senate and maintain control of the
House). The red wave talk was not successful in the 2022 mid-term elections
with abortion and competency the two key issues.
Polling/Right Track/Wrong Track Poll
The euphoric talk for Trump reaches frenzy as political
commentator Mark Halperin, that sometimes appears on Newsmax (republican-run
media), says the polls are skewing towards Trump in a notable way and the
initial turnout for the early voting states show a huge increase in republican
participation. One of the reasons Donnie lost the 2020 election was his dumbass
proclamation that all republicans should wait until the day of the election to
vote and not use mail-in voting even though, comically, that is the way he
votes. The betting sites show Trump with a 59% chance of winning the election
so the republicans are asking to visit the Whitehouse so they can measure the
drapes.
Take a deep breath. Trafalgar Group shows Trump with a one
to three percentage-point advantage over Harris nationally and in the seven
battleground states (Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, Arizona, Nevada, North
Carolina, Georgia). This would be expected since Trafalgar makes a big deal
about the undercounting of Trump votes in polls.
Other polls and a grouping of all the polls show Harris with a slight edge but mainly due to a Quinnipiac poll that weighted the average. If you add one to three percentage-points to the polls to account for any Trump undercounting, you arrive at the Trafalgar numbers. Keep in mind, however, Trafalgar may be the pollster that is wrong.
A potential problem with the polls is the distribution of
participants. Pollsters are typically canvassing about 35% republicans, 35%
democrats and 30% independents. The polling numbers would be more useful if
about 30% republicans, 30% democrats and 40% independents are polled or as
mentioned below in the latest statistics, 25% republicans, 25% democrats and
50% independents. Trump has his base supporters that show up at the adoration
rallies donning red, white and blue colors, and they will vote for the orange
head no matter what. Call that 30% of the vote.
Ditto on the democrat side. Their solid base is 30% of the
vote so 60% of the vote is accounted for and it is a tie contest. If 15% of the
independents are peeled off for Trump and 15% for Harris, a tie remains at 45%
each. That 10% of independents in the middle, many probably remain undecided, will
pick the next POTUS. The rest of the votes are just noise. Do you think any of
the polls reflect that core 10% of independent voters? Probably not. Those
independent voters are the only ones that matter.
On the early robust republican turnout, that is nice to see
for the Trumpsters, but they only have one vote. That means they will not vote
on Election Day. Duh. The republicans have made a big deal about early voting
because they saw in the prior elections how democrats jump out to big leads as
vote are tallied and it is hard to make-up that deficit as the voting
continues. Republicans are probably getting excited about nothing since the
same amount of people will vote regardless of when. What will likely be
discovered is that voting early does not have an impact and will serve to shoot
down the conspiracy theory stuff about the 2020 election.
On the betting parlors, some folks surmise that the main
reason the odds are skewing big in King Donnie’s favor is due to a whale with
its thumb on the scale. In stock trading, a trader with big money can influence
a stock price by simply buying and selling the equity; these large players that
own boatloads of shares are called, “whales.” Thus, it is likely that there are
one or a few whales in the betting parlor social internet sites placing big
money on Trump which is driving up his chances of election so be skeptical of
the numbers. The 59% number above may simply mean that people with a lot of
money placed wagers on Donnie to make it look like his momo was increasing.
Now that the polls are properly dissed, let us talk about
the grandaddy poll, the one that does matter, the one that has street cred;
right track/wrong track. The right track/wrong track poll is the top predictor
of election outcomes. If Americans feel the country is on the wrong track, the
incumbent is booted from office. Conversely, if the nation feels things are
okay and on the right track, the incumbent wins another term. Simple, isn’t it?
And very accurate. But this time is different.
In the 2016 presidential election, with President Obama
finishing his eight-year stint, Americans thought the country was on the wrong
track. Typically, this poll is split with two-thirds on one side and one-third
on the other side. Donnie Trump defeated Hillary Clinton because people thought
the country was on the wrong track. Clinton got painted with the Obama brush.
In the 2020 election, with President Trump trying to win
reelection, two-thirds of Americans thought the country was on the wrong track
and only one-third thought Donnie was doing a good job. Trump mishandled the COVID-19
pandemic because he was more concerned about getting reelected. Trump was
booted from office because he was on the wrong track and Joe Biden took
control.
In 2024, with the election only days away and President
Biden the incumbent, two-thirds of Americans feel the nation is on the wrong
track. It is the kiss of death for Biden; however, Sleepy Joe is not running
because he was forced out. Will Kamala Harris be painted with the negative right
track/wrong track Biden brush?
It is different this time because only four years ago, Americans
said King Donnie was on the wrong track. How does that impact this
tried-and-true indicator? Biden is not running so the negativity may rub off on
Harris, or maybe it will not. The wrong track would have booted Biden from
office so the democrats at least give themselves a chance by tossing him off
the campaign bus. If Haris wants elected, however, Cackling Kamala must tell
Americans that she wants to put the country on the right track going forward
and explain how to do it. Otherwise, the wrong track poll will slap her silly.
Republicans try to blame Harris for all of Biden’s foibles
but much of this rhetoric falls on deaf ears. Americans know that the vice
president must cheerlead the president’s decisions and directives even if they
differ from the veep’s views. The only function of the vice president is to
smell the president’s farts for four years. If something should happen to the
top dog, the vice president becomes the president, so they would say that the
fart-smelling was worth it.
The jury is out on the right track/wrong track poll. If we
simply follow the predictor, Trump will win hands down, no problemmo. However,
Harris may be viewed as the candidate of change since Trump and Biden have both
had the top job but the vice president has not. The wrong track doomed Hillary
Clinton but she was a polarizing figure, had a long political record for folks
to assess, and many people did not like her divisive, sneaky and lazy personality.
Much about Harris remains unknown which may help her election prospects.
Keystone’s Previous Election Articles
Before we get deeper into the political weeds, Keystone
provides a couple of links to the two prior election articles he wrote in 2020
and 2022 if you want to relive those elections in all their glorious details.
The articles can provide lots of clues on what may happen on Tuesday, November
5, 2024. Election Day is always the first Tuesday after the first Monday in
November.
Trump was defeated by Biden in 2020 but Donnie would not
concede the election so his legacy is a whining, crybaby sore-loser. King CryBaby. Trump lost because he ran a poor campaign spending too much time at his
adoration rallies instead of trying to win new voters. His disastrous handling
of the pandemic sealed his fate. To Donnie’s credit this time around, he is
doing more small events at eateries, barber shops and other venues where common
Americans congregate.
In the 2022 mid-term elections, abortion was the key issue
after Trump inserted three conservative judges into the US Supreme Court that
struck down Roe v Wade tossing abortion legislation to the individual states.
Competence was another big theme in the election and surprisingly, it is a word
not mentioned at all in 2024 when it will be a big theme again.
Americans voted for candidates in 2022 that were competent
managers realizing there are too many stupid inexperienced people in government.
The incompetence and lack of management skills in leadership positions in the
United States are making life hard for everyone. The voters clearly want
competent people regardless of political tribe. The republicans promised a big
red wave in 2022 that turned out to be a tiny pink trickle due to the abortion
issue.

Keystone also explains the Fetterman/Oz race in 2022 in Pennsylvania that no one understood. The big galoot has one of the best quips during this current election cycle when a reporter asked him about the status of the Pennsylvania elections. Fetterman says, "It's hand to hand combat." He is a piece of work.

General Discussion/Election Is Referendum on Trump
Okay, back to the present-day mess. It is a poor reflection
on America to offer two lackluster presidential candidates and their
unimpressive vice president selections. For the corrupt republican tribe, King
Donnie Trump, the orange-headed bloviating carnival clown, that cannot manage
his way out of a paper bag while holding a boxcutter, selected Childless Cat
Lady J D Vance for veep who plays-up a hillbilly persona while donning custom-tailored
shirts and an expensive haircut.
For the corrupt democrat tribe, Cackling Kamala Harris, the
wannabe communist with the unforgettable laugh, that plays dumb responding with,
“Joe who?” when asked about the Biden/Harris administration, picks Tampon Timmy
AWOLz for veep, a jovial mess of a man.
All four are deserving of the many memes and jokes on social
internet platforms. The Babylon Bee jokes that “The View” television show,
where five overweight women mouth-off about politics, saying that there are plans
to add a sixth woman to the show; Tim Walz. Funny stuff. Vance has been raked
through the coals for his comments promoting the traditional family structure while
throwing shade at unmarried women that cling to their cats.
King Donnie is a walking joke line and almost completely
impervious to negative stories these days. Some Americans compartmentalize
Trump and can separate his *sshole persona from his policies that they like.
Others cannot and view Donnie as once an a-hole, always an a-hole. Harris has a
small advantage in that the voting public does not know her as well as Trump.
Her cackling laugh is her (probably unwanted) trademark. Even dirtbag Ruskie
Dictator Putin has commented on Harris’s laugh.
But that is all superficial personal stuff that has no place
in politics, right? Wrong. Issues, schmissues. Policies, schmolicies. Isn’t
this election about one thing? Come on now, you know what it is all about. Yes,
Donnie Trump. People can tout polls identifying inflation, or abortion, or
immigration as the main issues, but this election is a referendum on Trump,
plain and simple; just like 2020.
If you like the orange head, you will vote for him. If you
dislike the orange head, you will vote for Harris, or for perhaps the 20% to
25% of republican primary voters that favored Nikki Haley instead of Trump,
they may not vote for either candidate at the top of the ticket. Split ticket
voting is going to be a big deal this election.
One of the reasons Trump sulks like a baby and still moans
about the 2020 election, is that many republicans in the House and Senate won
their races but he was left out in the cold. The idea of coattails is that
Trump expected to win and drag those republicans in on his coattails. He had no
coattails: he was kicked-out of office because he was on the wrong track.
Why would not a similar situation happen days from now? Some
republican voters are going to likely split their ticket which is not good news
for Trump. He will only have himself to blame since he should have kissed
Haley’s butt to win over those voters instead he shunned and made fun of her.
She has since chosen to kneel before the orange one and kiss his ring but it is
questionable how many of her supporters will also choose to bend knee (probably
not many because once you think Donnie is an a-hole, you will always think he
is an a-hole). Haley did the bare minimum to set herself up for a run at POTUS
the next time around.
The democrats make a big mistake trying to label Trump as a
fascist, or Marxist, and calling him Hitler. It is childish stuff. As shown in
the 2020 election, the majority of Americans think Donnie Trump is an
orange-headed *sshole, but few believe the fascist and Hitler rhetoric. Most
common Americans do not understand terms like socialism, communism, and fascism,
and the lines between the systems have become blurry with the complications of
modern-day politics.
The democrats also make a mistake pimping the democracy
stuff. The United States is a representative republic, or Constitutional
republic if you like. You do not want a flat-out democracy since that is a
mob-rule government. Minority voices are never heard in a democracy since
majority rules. The Electoral College system allows small states such as Rhode
Island, and rural states in the Midwest, to have a say in government just like
the larger states.
It is funny to watch the LGBTQ folks protesting in favor of
a democracy government that would actually take away their rights and input
into society as compared to the US representative republic system they live
under. Some of the LGBTQ folks are idiots protesting against Israel in support
of the terrorist group Hamas (that controlled the people of Gaza; perhaps not
anymore) when if they visited Gaza or other Arab-led (Sunni and Shia) nations
they would be thrown off a five-story building if found out to be gay. People
are dumb nowadays; technology has made humans lazy, stupid and arrogant.
The crowd size at the Trump adoration rallies has not
changed since 2020. Humorously, most attending are probably the same people.
Trump draws the big crowds because it is a free event, with a circus
atmosphere, and food trucks, and a big orange clown bloviates on stage for a
couple hours. Republicans make the mistake of extrapolating the crowd size of a
Trump adoration rally to the election as a whole. Just look at how 2020 panned
out. Say no more.
It is like a Grateful Dead concert with the tie-dyed shirts
and groupies. Tens of thousands attend their concerts but you would not
extrapolate that to say that every American is a Dead Head. That is not the
case. Only the people at the concert are Dead Heads. People show up at the
Trump adoration rallies donning red, white, and blue. They worship the Orange
Head but do not read more into the crowd size than its reflection of the people
that attend. R.I.P. Phil Lesh (bassist). Life is only a Ripple.
The Trump tribe is bashing the Harris tribe over lack of experience.
Remember, to keep things fair, Donnie was a two-bit real estate salesman
playing with Daddy’s money when he was elected in 2016. If Harris is elected,
she will learn on the job just like Donnie did and the case can be made that
she is better prepared since she has watched Sleepy Joe for the last four
years.
Trump tries to paint Harris with the Biden brush with some
success but most Americans know the veep must do what the president decides.
This is why if you had to select the change candidate, it would be Harris.
Trump and Biden are known entities that had the top job. Harris has not.
The single presidential debate was memorable. After a
debate, there is typically one or two soundbites that will live on for years
forward. Trump takes the cake. If you asked someone what they remember from the
debate, most will repeat the same refrain with Donnie screaming into the
camera, “They are eating your dogs, they are eating your cats, they are eating
your pets.” What a dufus.
On the union front, it is a mixed bag with some unions and
management in the Harris camp and others, mainly the rank and file, in the
Trump camp. Thinking back 50 years when unions were strong, the man would come
home after a hard day in the mill and mention to his wife that the union said
to vote a certain way and they did. Fast forward to the modern day. Some of the
union men are going to tell honey to vote for the Trumpster and the ladies will
nod yes, to keep the peace at home, but when she gets in the voting booth she
will be yelling, “Go girl!” as she pulls the Kamala lever.
A controversy develops at the Washington Post (democrat-run media) after an announcement to not endorse a presidential candidate. WaPo planned to endorse Harris but news sources say the billionaire owner Jeff Bezos stepped-in preventing the endorsement and changing the endorsement policy. Several Trump representatives met with Bezos to supposedly discuss the Blue Origin program and cloud computing services and what else? Funny that the endorsement stuff occurs around the same time. Sounds fishy. It is typical crony capitalism filth.
If the Washington Post did not want to endorse anyone, they could have announced it months ago. Bezos must be concerned that the Washington Post is labeled as a left-wing rag, which it is, so he is trying to make the paper more neutral, but all he did was create a big mess. People say they will cancel their subscriptions. You cannot change the WaPo perception now, Bezos. You chose to provide left-wing slanted news so now you must lie in your own liberal bed. Bezos is concerned about a Trump win and how it may hurt his interests.
The LA Times, another democrat-controlled newspaper,
announces it will not endorse anyone when a plan to endorse Harris was in
place. Owner Patrick Soon-Shiong may be unhappy with Harris’s stand on the Gaza
War creating the baby games at this newspaper.
51% of the people planning to vote say they are independent.
Ten years ago, the electorate was 40% republicans and democrats and 20%
independents. Five years ago, it was 30% for each of the two tribes and 40%
independent. Now it is 25% for each of the two corrupt parties and 50%
independents. That is called a trend. Many Americans, especially young folks
registering to vote, do not want anything to do with either dirtbag political
party. There is hope for the country after all. How will the independents vote
this time around? Which of the two scumbag tribes that they detest will they
favor?
A lot of Americans become independents because they are sick
of listening to Trump say he won the 2020 election. Donnie chased these folks
out of the republican party as he turned it into the retrumplican party; some
call it a cult. Trump is too dumb to understand that every time he says he won
the 2020 election, with zero proof, he loses independent votes. People are sick
of listening to this garbage. Shut up about the last election, orange head.
In the Joe Rogan interview, Trump could not help himself
saying that he has information that the 2020 election was stolen. Liar. Donnie
knows it is a sensitive topic but the a-hole cannot admit that he lost the
election because he always brags that he is only a winner (far from it). Trump
is now fine-tuning the election fraud discussion saying that the changes to the
methods of voting, due to the covid pandemic, caused him to lose. He now wants
everyone to call that fraudulent voting. That orange head has a couple of screws
loose. Everyone was playing by the same rules in 2020 but idiot Donnie told the
republicans to not vote by mail or any other way except in person on Election
Day shooting his own campaign in the foot.
Obviously, if Trump wins the 2024 election, he may go back
and somehow declare himself the winner in 2020. That would be disastrous for
the country. It will be more baby antics and reality television hijinks if he
is in office again. One thing is for sure. If Trump ever sets a foot in the
Oval Office again, it will mark the beginning of the end of the United States,
because his dereliction of duty for not stopping the Capitol Hill riot will be
deemed acceptable behavior. It all goes downhill from there, folks.
If Trump wins, there will likely be protests in the medium
and large cities. A Trump win will be a convenient excuse for tens of thousands
of people to take to the streets and throw bricks through store windows for
looting. It will be a repeat of the George Floyd murder situation. Most of
those protesters back then were there for the looting and did not give a rip
about Floyd that was a two-bit criminal, petty thief and counterfeiter.
Hundreds of young men have a roll of black plastic garbage
bags in their coat pocket right now ready for the looting fun. A nimble thief
can probably make $10K looting if Donnie is elected. Welcome to the new
America. A poll states that one-half the country expects violence after the
election. A Trump win may be difficult for the US to swallow since one-half of
the country cannot stand the man; it will be a long painful four years.
Christians may be hesitating at voting for Trump. Donnie was
Mister Pro-Life in 2016 to gain the evangelical vote. He became a folk hero to
the religious right. Religious folks cheered as Trump said those ‘two
Corinthian guys’ are his favorite Bible passage. King Donnie needs more votes
so now he says a little bit of abortion is okay and the states will decide. A
little bit of abortion never hurt anyone, right?
In 2020, 158 million of the 252 million eligible voters in
the United States voted. 68% of the women voted while 65% of the men voted.
King Donnie received 74 million votes while Sleepy Joe received 81 million
votes and 3 million are other. Biden beat Trump in the popularity vote by over
7 million votes.
Interestingly, in 2020 just before the election, there were
about 10 million voters that finally decided to climb aboard the Trump train,
after months of brow-beating, but it was not enough to get him over the finish
line. Those 10 million folks may have jumped ship again after Donnie’s poor
handling of the pandemic, baby behavior after losing the 2020 election, and
refusing to stop the Capitol Hill riot as Americans hurt and maimed each other.
After the election defeat, Trump refused to concede and still moans like a baby
to this day that he won the election, a big turn-off for those 10 million
voters that finally decided to join the new retrumplican party.
Many of those 10 million voters that were friendly to Trump
likely vaporized after the Capitol Hill riot debacle. Some left the republican
party to become independents. Others exist as republicans but do not like
Trump. Many of these folks (one-fifth to one-fourth of the republican party)
voted for Nikki Haley even months after she left the primary race. Donnie has
done nothing to win back these Haley voters. Trump expects everyone to kiss his
butt. Good luck with that strategy.
Vice President Jackasses
The veep sweepstakes this time around drummed-up some real
winners. Trump picks J D Vance, a wannabe hillbilly that walks around in
custom-tailored suits sporting expensive haircuts. He is a good speaker, no one
can take that away from him, but all stage-work improves with experience (note
how Harris is improving as she spends each day and more time in front of
crowds). J D is eloquent but once in a while will stick his foot in his mouth.
Vance got into conflict when promoting the family unit
structure and berating childless women that turn into cat ladies. Women do not
want to be labeled this way. Men are more direct and do not think about a
woman’s feelings perhaps as much as they should, so they do not understand how
these comments offend many women. Everyone tries to find their significant
other in life and just because a lady has not had luck in finding a good man
she should not be ridiculed as a childless cat lady. Maybe there are not enough
good men to go around these days? In fairness to Vance, surely he did not wish
to offend single ladies, but it came out that way, and sometimes it is best to
think before speaking.
Popular singer Taylor Swift, that has endorsed Kamala
Harris, sent a picture of herself and her cat (she is still unmarried in her
mid-30’s now dating Kansas City football player Travis Kelce) to J D Vance on
social media commenting on his portrayal of childless cat ladies of which she
is one.
On the democrat side there is Tampon Timmy AWOLz. Oh my,
where do you start? Harris receives criticism for picking Walz instead of Josh
Shapiro of Pennsylvania (which would have likely handed her this key state and
the overall election since he is very popular). Many say it is because Shapiro
is Jewish and Harris did not want to offend her left-wing whacko’s some that
are antisemitic. There may be another reason especially since Shapiro does not
appear offended in any way and is campaigning for Harris.
She may have picked Tampon Timmy because she stupidly
thought he could help with the male vote. Harris may have thought Shapiro was
too prissy (he always dresses impeccably, like Vance) and Walz was the he-man.
Pause for laughter. This is a shining example of how women think they know how
men think, and can be so far off base. Harris sees that Walz was in the
military, a football coach, a hunter, he knows his way around guns, and yet he
has a sensitive side. She thought she hit the jackpot and picked Timmy as her
running mate with enthusiasm. He is a man’s man. No he isn’t.
Men view Walz as a jackass. If Harris loses, it will be in
part due to picking an a-hole as a running mate. Walz is the annoying idiot you
do not invite to parties since his big mouth and stupid talk may ruin the fun.
He may check the macho boxes on paper but it looks more show than go. Masculine
men have a way about them, right ladies? You know. It is a confidence. That is
what most of you like and want even if you say you do not.
Timmy is the guy at the ice cream stand asking if the
sprinkles are included in the price of the cone, and not the man that just
finished a pick-up football game, limping off the field, bleeding from a cut to
the face, but smiling cheek to cheek as he greets his honey.
The tampon nickname comes from Walz passing legislation to
place tampon dispensers in boy’s bathrooms. Teenage boys will likely kick the
machines until they fall off the wall or grab a couple tampons, place one up
each nostril and say, “look at me, I’m a walrus.” That is what teenage boys do.
A nickname of Tampon Timmy does not instill confidence.
Walz is also accused of wimping out of overseas military
action, using a loophole to exit the service leaving his men high and dry.
Harris probably picked Walz thinking he would connect with male voters but that
was a bad decision. Considering his on-stage Rockette-style leg kicks, he may
be more at home on the cheerleading squad rather than on the football team.
Kamala Harris released her health records that show her in great condition and easily able to carry out a four-year term as president. Harris likely released the health information to signal to voters not to worry about Tampon Timmy (nothing is going to happen to her). Harris also uses the information to badger overweight Trump about not releasing his health records.
Harris Is from Venus and Trump Is from Mars
The election is men versus women. The women stick together.
For gosh sakes, when out on the town, they go to the ladies’ room together. Men
do not have a chance when the women group into a team. 2024 is very much a sex
contest this year. Gender is on the table.
The fairer sex (do not look for any politically correct
words or woke stuff here; Keystone does not give a sh*t) typically votes more
than the men. In 2020, it was over 68% of the women that voted versus 65% of
the men. The ladies are motivated in two ways this year both by abortion and by
electing the first female president.
A poll hit this morning that says 65% of voters say gender
does not matter for the election. Of course you will say that if someone is
asking. You do not want to be called a misogynist (ten-dollar college word) or
racist or other derogatory name. People say that sex does not matter in the
selection process but the women are going to favor voting for Kamala and many
men will favor voting for King Donnie. That is the way it goes. Mars and Venus
stuff.
You would rather be Kamala in this test since the females
are more reliable and will actually show up to vote while the men may end up at
a buddy’s house smoking weed and enjoying a beer and then saying screw voting.
158,000 republican Pennsylvanians voted for Nikki Haley in
the primary this year many were probably women. Pennsylvania is the Keystone
State and the key state in the 2024 election. Whoever wins Pennsy, wins the whole
ball game. That is why Harris and Trump are kissing butt here each day and the
television and radio political ads are running 24/7.
The last two presidential races came down to 40K to 80K
votes in Penn’s Woods. Donnie, there is still time. Put on your beggin’ pads
and kneel in front of Nikki asking her for a blessing and those critical Pennsylvania
votes. Trump needs Haley to come on stage with him in the final days to help
him get over the finish line but he is likely going to have to bring flowers
and chocolates, and promise a cabinet position, if he wants that
independent-thinking filly to solidly join the team. What’s it gonna be Donnie?
Well, what’s it gonna be, boy? Paradise by the Dashboard Light.
The inside skinny is that Erie County in Pennsylvania is key
(northwest corner of the state). They picked all the presidential winners in
recent elections; Obama twice, Trump and Biden. Perhaps Erie County,
Pennsylvania, will select the next POTUS? As Erie County goes, so goes the
nation, so pay attention.
Let’s Talk Yard Signs
The political yard signs help to gauge enthusiasm for the
candidates albeit anecdotally. Keystone is east of Pittsburgh (Allegheny
County) in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, USA, the most important battleground
state, and this region should go handily for King Donnie. In the 2016
presidential election, Hillary Clinton ran a terrible campaign panicking during
the last week to get the word out, and this area only sported one Clinton yard sign
back then. There were many Trump yard signs and he won.
In the 2020 presidential contest here in Westmoreland
County, the enthusiasm for Trump was off the charts. Trump yard signs and larger
signs were everywhere and folks donned Trump shirts and MAGA (Make America
Great Again) hats. There were only a handful of Biden yard signs, nowhere near
the number of Trump signs, but far more respectable than Clinton’s anemic
campaign four years earlier but Sleepy Joe won.
This year, for the 2024 election between Trump and Harris,
the yard signs paint a different picture. The enthusiasm for Trump has notably
waned. A neighbor with a $700K McMansion near Keystone had three big Trump
billboards in his yard four years ago along with many yard signs but had
nothing this year until a week ago he placed three small Trump-Vance yard
signs. At least one person is far less enthusiastic about the Trumpster.
There are less Trump yard signs in this area of Westmoreland
County than four years ago. It is surprising. The Capitol Hill riot and
Donnie’s refusal to stop Americans from hurting and maiming each other on that
ugly J6 (1/6/21) day likely soured a lot of people on the orange head. Also,
Trump’s refusal to concede the 2020 election and continuing to claim he won is
nauseating and the dolt should understand that he loses votes every time he
whines and lies. Another possible reason for less Trump signs is that the local
campaign office opened later than it did four years ago.
That ditz Lara Trump, with $100K in plastic surgery in her
face just to get her mug up to average-looking, must be spending time on hiring
lawyers to fight a potential election loss instead of opening the branch campaign
offices to do the hard groundwork to get her father-in-law elected. The Trump
office is in the same empty bank building on the Rt 22 highway in Murrysville,
Pennsylvania. Maybe Trump campaign funds are tight and they only wanted to rent
the building for two rather than three months?
The absence of Trump yard signs was notable in September
into early this month (October) especially when you see the blue Harris yard
signs dotting lawns. When the Trump office opened on the highway, Trump yard
signs popped up on lawns within a day or two. It was obvious that people were
waiting for the republican campaign office to open so that was a mistake on
Lara Trump’s watch; she needed to open that office and promote the location far
sooner.
There would likely be twice as much, or at least as many,
Trump yard signs in this area as 2020 if the campaign office would have opened
sooner. With only days remaining now, many republicans probably say screw
buying a campaign sign and instead decide to spend the money on food.
Contrast that with the Harris campaign office that opened on
Rt 286 at the line between Allegheny County (that includes Pittsburgh and
typically votes democrat) and Westmoreland County (that will likely vote
republican). The Harris local office is in a strip mall housing many businesses
including a bank, hoagie place, exercise gym, nail salon, barber shop, Aldi
grocery store, and a jeweler.
Starting back in September, the Harris people have a table
on the sidewalk with handouts, literature and yard signs and a campaign person
is sitting there sporting a blue Harris tee shirt answering people’s questions and
saying hello as people walk by running errands. The republican office sits
alone and you must drive there as a single trip if you want campaign
information or materials. The democrats always did have a better ground game
than republicans. The news media says the Trump campaign has farmed-out their
ground game to others. ‘Good luck with dat’ as they say in Da Burgh.
Humorously, the folks supporting King Donnie proudly display
the dark blue and blood red colored yard signs near the road or anywhere on the
lawn without worry or concern while many of the powder blue Harris yard signs
are placed up near the front doors of homes. Those democrat supporters are
obviously concerned about someone vandalizing or stealing their Harris-Walz
sign and they likely have a doorbell camera that would catch the naughty
republican on video tape if he chose to be stupid.
Also of interest is that most Trump supporters have multiple
yard signs. This identifies the diehard enthusiastic base supporters of King
Donnie that would crawl through jagged glass to vote for the orange head. Multiple
yard signs are exclamation points for that homeowner’s candidate. The democrats
supporting Harris typically display one yard sign. They choose a subtle
endorsement for their candidate Harris and do not see a need to fill the yard
with signs like an over-the-top multi-sign Trump display.
Summing up for this area of Westmoreland County east of
Pittsburgh, there are more Harris yard signs than the prior Clinton and Biden
elections together. Trump yard signs are about 70% of what they were four years
ago, noticeably less, but outnumber the Harris yard signs by about 4 to 1. The
only conclusion that can be drawn from the yard signs is that there may be a
hair less of support in this area for Trump compared to four years ago. No
biggie.
Another interesting observation verifying the waning
interest in the orange head, is the lack of big larger than life gawdyTrump
displays by local farmers and others. Four years ago, farmers were cutting
fields to display the name ‘Trump’ and log cabins were decorated patriotically.
One guy painted his roof red, white and blue for Trump. Other enthusiastic
Trump supporters painted American flags on their house or roof promoting Trump.
Some folks had lighted Trump displays like Christmas displays. There is none of
that this year. Butpkis. Trump appears to have lost a step in this area due to
his braggadocio diarrhea mouth, a-hole personality, refusal to accept the 2020
election loss, and dereliction of duty during the Capitol Hill riot. Maybe the
negatives are adding up?
Split-Ticket Voting
75% of Americans told both corrupt political parties last
year they do not want Joe Biden or Donald Trump to run; instead, they want
fresh faces for the presidential election. Neither party listened. Ironically,
Trump won the presidency in 2016 in part because people were sick of the
Bush-Clinton stink. It was time to move on. Are Americans now sick of the
Trump-Biden stink and ready to move on?
The democrats saw the writing on the wall this summer with
Trump pulling ahead in the polls as Sleepy Joe’s Alzheimer’s and onset of
dementia became obvious. The democrats threw Biden off the campaign bus, thump,
thump, and installed Harris as the candidate. It was a good move since Joe was
likely to lose due to his loss of mental capacity and a woman candidate gives
Donnie nightmares.
Interestingly, the democrats that voted in the primary
election casting a vote for Biden wasted their time. Their vote was completely
meaningless. They should have done something more productive with their time
that day instead of vote. When people say every vote matters you can laugh at
them. The democrat primary election proves that every vote does not count at
all. Harris is the democrat candidate selected by Joe Biden not by the people.
The democrats likely wanted a quick mini-primary election
after preventing Joe from running for reelection but he got the last laugh when
announcing that he would not run (was forced out) he said Harris would be the
candidate harpooning the mini-primary idea. Politics is ugly.
The republicans did not get the message that three-quarters
of the United States did not want Trump or Biden to run again. Instead, the
republicans are jamming the orange head down everyone’s throats again. In a few
days we will know if this was the correct or a stupid strategy. You would think
that if Haley or DeSantis were the republican candidate they would likely be
ahead of Harris in the polls. Instead, 2024 is a coin-flip election Harris v
Trump. Choose your poison.
Thus, the expectation is many split ballots. Some
republicans will walk into the voting booth and vote straight republican
ticket. Some will vote for republicans in the House and Senate races but leave
the president box blank, or some may even vote for Harris. Some democrats will
vote straight democrat ticket. Some will vote for Harris at the top of the
ticket but then pick and choose a republican for the House or Senate if the
person is competent regardless of political party. Americans are starving for
competent people in government because it is obvious the *ssholes in power for
the last five decades, the demopublicans and republocrats, destroyed the
country.
Coattails, schmotails. If Trump wins, he may get dragged in
by the coattails of the House and Senate races not the typical way when the
president should drag everyone into office. Abortion and competency were the
two key themes in the mid-term elections and as a stock trader, you always go
with the trend. Those items should be key again this time around.
Kamala Harris
The main idea helping Harris is that she is ‘not Trump’. The
election is a referendum on Donnie just like 2020. Harris is unknown and sometime
a little mystery helps if voters have enough information on policies to feel
comfortable.
Harris is hurt by the switching messages and inconsistency.
People may be concerned about competency which is a key theme going forward in
American politics. The US is obviously mismanaged and Americans want to right
the ship. The democracy, fascist and Hitler stuff is stupid talk and probably
turns people off. She picked a-hole Walz as the veep, a guy with the Trump
personality only he is a democrat. Harris should have picked Josh Shapiro who
is more manly and popular and from Pennsylvania than Walz.
Donnie Trump
The main metric helping Trump is the right track/wrong track
poll discussed above. It is the key to his potential victory. Americans feel
the country is on the wrong track which hurts the incumbent, but Biden is not
running, and Trump was on the wrong track only 4 years ago. Will the right
track/wrong track poll reward Trump with the win or is the metric not valid
this time around due to this year’s oddities?
Trump is helping himself during this campaign, as compared
to 2020, by visiting different places and venues such as barber shops,
McDonalds and Ma and Pa local businesses. It would be better if he donned work
clothes at these events because manning the French fry station at Mickey D’s,
while wearing a custom-tailored $400 white silk shirt and gold cufflinks, is
laughable and silly. However, Donnie knows his brand is a wrinkle-free suit and
red tie and if you opened his closet that is all you see.
Trump supporters say the event was a great success but to
others he looked like an *sshole pandering for votes. Donnie has never set foot
in a McDonalds until the photo-op although he eats the food daily. A runner
brings King Donnie his happy meals.
Donnie was shot in his ear during the Butler, Pennsylvania,
rally in July, but you cannot see any lasting damage or scar. You would think
he would get a little bit of a sympathy vote for an attempted assassination but
this may be wishful thinking for republicans. It would be funny if the poor guy
lost the election despite being shot in the head.
Donnie refusing to concede the 2020 election and still
saying he won is a real drag on his candidacy. Even if the orange head wins
over a reluctant voter, that person turns on the television and hears the ‘I
won the 2020 election’ garbage talk from Donnie so that voter pulls an
about-face saying screw him; he is an *sshole. The revenge talk about going
after his detractors if elected also hurts his candidacy.
Trump’s dereliction of duty for not stopping the Capitol
Hill riot, when all he had to do was click his fingers, weighs heavy on many
voter’s minds. He screwed-up bigtime displaying spite, vengeance, and poor
leadership, turning off voters. J6 was an ugly day that Trump could have
prevented or stopped and he did not only for the purpose of fueling his own ego
and narcissism. That is a sick orange head.
Trump may be over peddling the machismo stuff because the
men puffing their chests out are typically the biggest cowards. Martial arts
expert Bruce Lee, that could have beaten anyone to a pulp, would preach that
escape and resolving conflict is the best path forward, but if you are cornered
and have no choice, you must take care of business. That is a real man not
someone that flexes their muscles bullying people. Be water, my friend. Most women
voters will not respond well to fighting, slapping, spanking, beating, and
other macho and testosterone-laden activities; ladies prefer safety and
security.
Another problem for Donnie is the people that worked for him
and republican influencers telling Americans not to vote for the orange head including
his own former Vice President Pence and Chief of Staff John Kelly. Many others that have worked directly with
Trump refuse to vote for the orange head including Generals Mark Milley and Jim
“Mad Dog” Mattis, former Defense Secretary Mark Esper, and former Security
Adviser John Bolton.
Theme Songs
Of course, we must have a musical interlude in this long
article and select theme songs for each candidate. Starting with Kamala Harris,
the choice is easy. She has changed positions like a chameleon so CultureClub’s hit “Karma Chameleon” is a good fit. Cue the harmonica.
“Kamma, kamma, Kamala chameleon, you flip and flop, you flip
and flah-ah-ah-op. Living will be easy if you follow what I decree, la, la, la,
……..”
Trump’s theme song is another easy choice since he is a
legend in his own mind; the Horslips hit “Man Who Built America.”
“See him selling those golden shoes, and hawking those cheap
Christmas ornaments, trying to keep his arse out of jail, cause Donnie’s the
man who thinks he built America.”
Key Issues/Thought Exercise
Let’s try an exercise, a thought experiment, of assigning
from 1 to 4 points to Harris and Trump depending on the important/key issues
and social zeitgeist in late October 2024.
Popularity; the popularity and favorability (an important
metric) are about the same for both. 2 pts each.
Charisma; Donnie has more charisma than Kamala but that is
not saying much. 2 pts for Trump and 1 pt for Harris.
Competency; Trump is likely viewed a touch more competent
but that is not saying much. 2 pts for Trump and 1 pt for Harris.
Referendum on Donnie Trump; the majority of America will
likely vote mainly based on their like or dislike of Donnie. Harris advantage.
2 pts for Trump and 3 pts for Harris.
Trump Lost 4 Years Ago; he is a proven loser. 4 pts for
Harris.
Harris Would Be First Female President. 4 pts for Harris.
Right Track/Wrong Track Poll. 4 pts for Trump.
Inflation/Economy. 4 pts for Trump.
Abortion; 4 pts for Harris.
Immigration/Crime. 4 pts for Trump.
Vice Presidential Picks; Vance slight advantage over Walz. 3
pts for Trump. 2 pts for Harris.
Media Bias; the democrat-run media (CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS,
NBC, PBS, NPR, New York Times, Washington Post, etc…) overpowers the
republican-run media (Fox News, Newsmax, OAN, Breitbart, AM talk radio, New
York Post, etc…) by about 70% to 30%. This is why the republican-run media
calls the democrat-run media unfair and labels them as the ‘mainstream media’
since the liberals control the major broadcast channels and always provide news
slanted positively for the democrats. 1 pt for Trump and 3 pts for Harris.
Incumbent; Biden is the incumbent but not running perhaps
some of this rubs off on Harris for the good. Trump may be viewed as an
incumbent as well. 2 pts for Trump and 3 pts for Harris.
Women Versus Men; more women vote than men so the advantage
is to Harris. Ladies are motivated by abortion and electing the first female
president. 2 pts for Trump and 3 pts for Harris.
Effeminate Versus Macho; Trump is courting the young men
with the machismo message while throwing shade at gays and transgender folks
but the jury is out with this approach. 2 pts for Trump and 2 pts for Harris.
Musk Influence; Elon the billionaire boy is pumping money
and influence into Donnie’s campaign, including control over election messaging
on X (Twitter), hoping for future favors (quid pro quo) if Trump wins. 2 pts
for Trump.
Momentum; Slight Trump advantage but this is more due to
sogginess with Harris and not an increased popularity in Donnie. Also, momentum
can easily shift in the final days especially as October surprises hit the
wires. 2 pts for Trump.
Ground Game/Fundraising; Slight advantage to Harris since a
lot of staffers are paid, and a lot are volunteers, but Trump is cheap and
tries to only use people that work as volunteers. The results of the ground
game will be very interesting. 2 pts for Harris.
Turnout; Democrats always seem to have the upper hand here
but republicans are confident. 1 pt for Trump and 3 pts for Harris.
The above list is as Keystone typed it out in real-time and
assigning the points. Trump totals 35 points and Harris totals 37 points.
Comically, if Keystone did it again, he may come up with a different result.
Nonetheless, the above list of items is what dominates the 2024 presidential
election.
Keystone’s Predictions
And now the moment you all are waiting for, Keystone’s
predictions. All predictions sound great; until the votes are counted. The forecast
below serves as comic relief once the true outcome is known. Anyhoo, let us
give it a go.
Sorry to be the messenger of bad news, but the outcome of
the US presidential election does not matter since America’s crony capitalism
system is in its last throes and cannot be fixed. The selection between Trump
and Harris is a choice of who will receive the moniker as the modern-day
Herbert Hoover. All of you will understand over the next couple years.
Kamala Harris will win and become the first female
president. The number one reason is that she is not Trump. 75% of Americans
told the corrupt political parties they did not want Trump or Biden so the only
choice for them is Harris or to not vote for the presidential slot (which will
hurt Trump). Trump will win North Carolina and Georgia but fall short in Pennsylvania (if Harris should win North Carolina, it is over, she will walk away with the election win, but currently the polls favor Trump in this southern state). The blue wall holds and Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan go for Kamala
allowing her to squeak out the electoral college win above 270 by a hair.
The western states will not matter as much but Harris will win Nevada (barely) and Trump will take Arizona. The election is a referendum on Trump and he already lost in 2020. His failure to stop the Capitol Hill riot, instead choosing to cheerlead Americans that were hurting and maiming one another, and refusing to accept the defeat in 2020, will cook his goose (even if Trump wins, the US will be a mess since one-half of the country will be battling the other half for the next four years).
People want to be part of history and, like voting for the first black man as president, Emperor Obama, some folks will want to be able to say they voted for the first woman president, Queen Kamala. Americans do not realize that it does not matter who wins; they are simply choosing the person that will be labeled as the modern-day Herbert Hoover going forward.
Abortion is also a lingering issue where many women blame Trump for complicating their already-difficult lives. Women are likely more motivated to vote than men. The Electoral College will be 276 for Harris and 262 for Trump (538 total so 270 needed to win) a real squeaker that perhaps opens the door for more baby stuff about a rigged election from sore loser Trump if he should lose.
If Harris wins, she will likely pardon Trump from his legal
problems following the Ford/Nixon example after Watergate. It is important for
the country to move on to solve real problems so the best decision would be to
let Trump off the hook and tell him to go away. Of course, if Trump wins, he
will pardon himself and his family. The pardon prize is the main reason that Donnie Trump is running (to keep his arse out of jail).
Think of the US as a giant living breathing organism that
factors in all viewpoints and seeks the best outcome for the nation (not
political parties), and is trying to save itself from the two dirtbag and corrupt political
tribes. A good outcome for the US is a republican House and Senate and a
democrat president where the least damage can occur and maybe they can jointly
get something done.
Harris can serve as a placeholder as both corrupt political
tribes regroup to faceoff with new faces in 2028 (mid-term elections are
November 2026; politicians will announce their candidacy for POTUS in late 2026
early 2027; Josh Shapiro will likely ascend in the democrat tribe over the next couple years). The American organism wants to push the country towards the best
outcome so a Harris presidency and republican House and Senate may be that
outcome; gridlock is good.
The Senate will turn over control to the republicans with a
52 to 48 advantage. Americans want competent people to run the country be they
democrat or republican.
The House will remain in republican control but barely, like
now, with a small margin.
The total vote count will be at or below the presidential
vote count in 2020. 158 million people voted in 2020 so perhaps only 150 to 158
million will vote this time around. Apathy has taken over the country and some
folks, unhappy with the Trump and Harris selections, will not place a vote for
president. The country appears unfixable so why bother?
The election will result in more split-ticket voting than
has been seen in recent years. The desire for competent people in office will
boost the wins for the republicans in the House and Senate. Abortion, the first
woman president, and the ‘not-Trump’ factor may dominate the voting at the top
of the ticket (president) resulting in some republicans voting for Harris or
not checking the president box at all.
Will the 2024 US presidential election be known as the Year
of the Woman favoring Kamala Harris? More women vote than men and abortion
rights and electing the first female president are a double-whammy incentive
for the fairer sex to get out and vote.
Or, will the election instead be known as the Year of
Machismo favoring Donnie Trump? The republicans are targeting young men. Trump is
commenting on famous golfer Arnold Palmer’s penis endowment and on the Penn
State wrestler’s muscles promoting a testosterone narrative. At a Trump
adoration rally, republican media personality Tucker Carlson waxes
metaphorically about ‘Daddy’ Donnie coming home to spank Kamala’s bottom
because she has been a naughty girl. Some men may chuckle at the macho talk
they view as harmless but many women cringe and take offense to such rhetoric.
Donnie is hoping to gain street cred after the interview
with Joe Rogan who has a large audience of young men and promotes the sport of ultimate
fighting. Humorously, despite all the machismo and dripping testosterone,
Donnie plays the YMCA song at every rally, where he hangs out with all the boys. Maybe Donnie has an Indian headdress
and chaps in his closet that he likes to wear on kinky Saturday nights?
Apologies for making you picture Donnie in chaps.
Good luck everyone if you choose to vote. It is harvest time
here in colorful Pennsylvania with Halloween preparations and the corn maze
taking precedence over voting. Keystone is cool with whatever yinz decide. 40
million people have voted so far. God Bless them. Which criminal did you pick?
The best thing about November 5, 2024, is that the non-stop
television and radio political ads in Pennsylvania will end, however, they will
only be replaced with non-stop Medicare enrollment ads. Election updates will
follow through 11/5/24. Will the 2024 presidential election be a trick or a
treat?
Note Added 6:51 PM EST: Trump is holding a rally at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The venue holds 20K people and is easily filled by folks wanting to see the circus. There is over 8 million people in New York City not including the visitors. The speakers are a line of silver-haired white guys starting with disgraced former mayor Rudy Giuliani leading the parade. Television personality Dr Phildo talks too long as he endorses King Trump by kneeling and kissing the ring. Wrestler Hulk Hogan speaks and of course he calls everyone, "Trumpamaniacs" so the crowd goes wild. Vice President candidate Vance speaks. UFC promoter Dana White is yelling into the microphone. Billionaire Elon Musk is up next and proclaims that he can remove $2 trillion from the US budget. That is idiot talk that will not happen. Musk introduces former First Lady Melania Trump, that receives deafening applause, and then the headliner King Donnie will hold court pontificating and providing the same speech for the three hundred and twentieth time. A negative situation is developing after comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, known for his avant-garde and sometimes raunchy "Kill Tony" podcast, makes off-color jokes at the Trump rally including calling Puerto Rico a "floating pile of garbage." Hinchcliffe jokes with a black man in the audience about eating watermelon. Maybe Trump will distance himself from the jokes when he speaks? The insult humor is out of place at a rally that should be joyous. Hinchcliffe gained popularity because of Joe Rogan so that is why he was likely recommended to Donnie Trump for the rally even though the orange head says he does not know the comedian. Tony is known for making fun of people; that is his schtick. That is why everyone wants to "Kill Tony." Vice President Harris campaigns in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, today at smaller venues connecting with black voters. Everyone loves Pennsylvania now but we will be thrown onto the rubbish heap of insignificance the day after the election.
Note Added Monday Morning, 10/28/24, at 5:16 AM EST: As would be expected, the republicans cheerlead the Trump rally in New York City yesterday while the democrats point out hateful language such as the comedian calling Puerto Rico a "floating pile of garbage." A different speaker at the Trump rally called Kamala Harris the "anti-Christ." It was odd watching Donnie and Melania on stage yesterday. They go to kiss, but not on the lips. Instead, Donnie kisses her cheek, then the other cheek, as if he is greeting someone in Europe. Maybe she did not want him to get lipstick on himself before his speech? As they stood together they were a foot apart then Donnie shuffled sideways so they were side by side. Body language is always interesting. The Harris campaign announces that former President Bill Clinton will visit Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, tomorrow to encourage folks to mail-in their votes or vote early. Of course he is. Slick Willie knows the importance of Pennsylvania and specifically counties such as Westmoreland. Keystone's backyard is ground zero for the 2024 election. Vice President Harris plans a rally at the Ellipse area in Washington, DC, tomorrow the same place that former President Trump gave his speech before the Capitol Hill riot on 1/6/21.
Note Added Monday Evening, 10/28/24, at 6:11 PM EST: The Trump camp condemns the joke at the rally yesterday calling Puerto Rico a floating pile of garbage because it offended Latinos and Donnie does not want to lose their votes. The democrat-run media is milking the negative story for all its worth mentioning the comedian and Puerto Rico joke every five minutes. King Donnie and surrogates keep asking, "Are you better off now than four years ago?" That is easy. Hell no! Four years ago was wave 3 of the COVID-19 pandemic that continued to worsen through the wintertime into 2021. Keystone wrote the Coronavirus Chronology that documented the three-year pandemic along with over 900 covid charts. It is the China Virus Bible, the most important document of the pandemic, and will be published after the first of the year. Four years ago, the COVID-19 cases worldwide topped 50 million. The US covid infections were running over 160K cases per day on their way to over 200K cases per day. Trump was focused on his reelection campaign and not on handling the pandemic. Back then is when Trump told Americans that 'we would have to learn to live with covid' after which Biden responds 'we are learning to die with it'. We were far worse off four years ago. Humorously, to get the answer he wants, Trump needs to ask people if they are better off than five years ago but it does not have the same ring to it (obviously, Trump wants to say four years because it matches the presidential term). It is surprising, then again not so much since people are stupid nowadays, that no one responded to that question by saying that it was covid four years ago and a far worse time than now.
In Pennsylvania early voting, the democrats have returned about 820K ballots and the republicans 440K about a 2 to 1 democrat advantage which is what would be expected. The numbers were far higher four years ago but that was due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the many new voting options that were provided back then. Two outside ballot boxes for early voting are set on fire one in Vancouver, Washington State, and the other in Portland, Oregon. Hundreds of ballots are destroyed in the Vancouver fire but a fire suppression system saved the majority of ballots in Portland. A suspicious car is tied to both incidents and another nefarious act a month ago. Republican Speaker of the House Mike Johnson proclaims that "massive reform" will occur to the Affordable Care Act (ACA; Obamacare) if Trump is elected president. Johnson replies to a question saying, "No Obamacare. The ACA is so deeply ingrained, we need massive reform to make this work and we got a lot of ideas on how to do that." Did Johnson just open a can of election worms?
Note Added Tuesday Morning, 10/29/24, at 4:54 AM EST: Americans will be headed to the polls to physically vote next Tuesday, 11/5/24, Election Day. 44 million people opted for early voting that represents 28% of the 158 million that voted in 2020. Wow, over 1 in 4 Americans that are registered to vote have already voted and it is heading towards one-third of the electorate. Republicans brag that the early vote is going their way but no one knows for sure. Republicans continue puffing their chests figuring they have the momentum and will win. The bragging and positive optimism increases on the republican side but is it real or is it false hope with conservatives trying to think positively to manifest a win? The democrat-run media is having a field day with the negative Puerto Rican and black jokes from the Trump rally. Bad Bunny, a bigtime Latino music producer and performer, probably the top dog in that musical genre, endorses Harris due to the comments. The Puerto Rican community has taken offense to the joke and there are over 500K voters in Pennsylvania that may be impacted. King Donnie should have apologized for the comments but the orange-headed *sshole never apologizes. That is his choice. Trump is heading into the Puerto Rican fire today planning a rally in Allentown, Pennsylvania, the center of this Latino community; he should be prepared for protests. The drama increases with only seven days until the election.
USA Today (democrat-run media) is the latest newspaper to not endorse a presidential candidate. The Washington Post is taking a beating from the non-endorsement announcement, that appears to be setting up a quid pro quo between billionaire Bezos and Trump, with 200K subscriptions cancelled so far (according to the democrat-run NPR). The newspapers are in trouble having difficulty transitioning to a pay wall on the internet. It is a broken business model and losing subscriptions is another nail in the coffin. No one wants to pay these rags for biased news stories when the same news is all over the internet for free. Why would you buy the cow when you can get the milk for free? (This is an old saying from the 1970's that mothers would tell their daughters that were dating or living with a punk rocker.) The New York Times, Seattle Times, Las Vegas Sun and Boston Globe, democrat-run media, endorse Harris. The New York Post, Washington Times and Las Vegas Review-Journal, republican-run media, endorse King Donnie. The LA Times, Washington Post and USA Today, democrat-run media, choose to not endorse a candidate even though messages were drawn up to endorse Harris. Are you starting to understand that America is a corrupt crony capitalism system?
Note Added Tuesday Afternoon, 10/29/24, at 3:00 PM EST: Former President Bill Clinton is stumping for Harris in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Keystone's backyard. The US Supreme Court rules to allow Robert Kennedy Jr's name to remain on the presidential ballots in Wisconsin and Michigan a blow to the Trump team. RFK has abandoned his independent bid for the Whitehouse and now lies in bed with King Donnie. RFK wanted to be removed from the ballots since some people may place a vote for his name as a protest vote. Tool late. RFK's name remains on the ballot so this will slightly ding Trump by a few votes in Wisconsin and Michigan. Trump does not appear to want Nikki Haley's help with the campaign. Haley is interviewed on Fox News and says her team has been helping behind the scenes. Haley and Trump have not talked since June. Wow. That is not good for republican hopes. Trump is willing to jettison 20% or more of the republican vote making no effort whatsoever to win over the Haley supporters? That is stupid. Haley warns Donnie to not get "overly masculine with the bromance think they've got going." If Trump loses, it will be because he did not court Haley's voters (a lot of women) instead expecting everyone to kneel before him and kiss his orange *ss after they kiss his ring; many do but Haley does not. A lot of Haley voters will likely vote straight republican for House and Senate races but either leave the top slot blank or even vote for Harris since she is a woman. Trump is an idiot for not courting the Haley voters and it is shocking that the two have not talked in over four months.
Republican radio personality Sean Hannity proclaims that a Trump victory is at hand. He says wealthy individuals have access to polls no one else sees and the election is going Trump's way. Hannity says the left are losing it (because they see Trump surging ahead) citing meltdowns by commentators on the democrat-run cable news outlets (CNN and MSNBC). To an average non-biased viewer, however, it does not appear that way. Trump provides a short speech from his Florida nest calling the Sunday rally in New York a "lovefest." Only Donnie can describe something controversial as a lovefest. Trump fan boys and girls were obviously charged with energy at the Sunday rally and had a good time but many speakers missed the mark. Kill Tony's Puerto Rica joke continues to have legs for almost three days. The religious goofball was screaming that Kamala Harris is the "anti-Christ." Trump says love was in the air. WABC radio personality Sid Rosenberg was foaming at the mouth on Sunday, perhaps experiencing 'roid rage', yelling out cuss words to describe Harris. That must be a new kind of love. Trump does not apologize to the Puerto Rican or Latino communities about the off-color jokes at the rally. Instead, he calls it a lovefest. Of course he does. That is why tens of millions of Americans view King Donnie as an orange-headed *sshole.
Harris running mate Walz is campaigning in Erie County, Pennsylvania. The democrats always have a better ground game especially with that Lara Trump ditz at the RNC spending her time on hiring lawyers to fight the election rather than focusing on a ground game to win the election. Erie County has picked all the presidential winners in the last few elections. Walz capitalizes on the Puerto Rico joke and tells Pennsylvanians when republicans talk about floating garbage, "that is what they think about you." Walz will return to Erie County on Thursday.
Note Added Tuesday Evening, 10/29/24, at 10:00 PM EST: The 'garbage' talk continues only now it comes from the democrat side. As Kamala Harris prepares for her important speech at the Ellipse in Washington, DC, this evening, President Biden comments on the Trump rally where Kill Tony made the joke about Puerto Rico being a floating pile of garbage. Brain dead Biden decrees, "The only garbage I see out there are his supporters." Does Biden want to purposely harpoon Harris's campaign so he can say that he would have won? It is a bad statement especially occurring before Harris's speech. Biden should have said Trump is garbage and never cut down potential voters. Didn't the democrats learn this when Hillary Clinton called rural folks and Trump supporters "deplorables" back in 2016?" The democrats may be able to weather the Biden storm by surrogates chalking it up to Sleepy Joe's Alzheimer's and onset of dementia. In addition, the democrat-run media (CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, NPR, PBS, New York Times, Washington Post, etc...) will run cover for Harris and completely ignore the Biden gaff. The republicans have a field day with the statement with their media (Fox News, Newsmax, OAN, Breitbart, New York Post, AM talk radio, etc....) pimping the story every 10 minutes. Trump tries to fundraise off the Biden statement that his supporters are garbage.
Steve Bannon, the far right activist that worked in the Trump cabinet in 2017, is released from prison after a four-month sentence for not cooperating with a subpoena and refusing to provide information to help investigations into Donnie boy. Bannon makes a speech after his release and tells Trump, if he wins, to declare himself the winner in the 2020 election. Americans have become dirtbags that worship and pledge allegiance to their corrupt political parties instead of the United States of America. Obviously, this garbage, which is the trendy word these days, does not end well. Trump speaks in Allentown, Pennsylvania, to a predominantly Latino crowd, where he receives a lukewarm reception after the off-color jokes at the Sunday rally. Many attendees remain enthusiastic for Trump but there is no doubt some harm is done by the garbage joke helped by the democrat press pimping the story every 10 minutes.
Harris's speech at the Ellipse is well received by an audience of 75K. She calls herself a 'unifier' and Trump a 'petty tyrant'. She mentions that Trump said, "So what?" when asked what to do about the mob that wants to hang Vice President Pence during the J6 riot. Harris decrees, "These United States of America, we are not a vessel for the schemes of wannabe dictators." She is using the 'vessel' word channeling Michelle Obama's speech on abortion and women's rights from the other day when the former First Lady proclaimed, "We are more than baby-making vessels." Harris is trying to appeal to voters that are sick of the Trump drama. The 75K people is quite a crowd matching Trump's New York crowd (20K inside the Garden and about 30K to 50K in the streets) and people had to physically drive there. Trump's rally was in the middle of an over 8 million New York City population with probably a million within walking distance of the free rally at the Garden. There were also politicians and other Trump supporters and donors that flew in from red states to attend the New York rally. King Donnie may wake up tomorrow experiencing some crowd envy because it is always one of his main bragging points. Crowd size, like Arnie Palmer's penis size, are important to Donnie Trump, the orange-headed man with small hands.
Note Added Wednesday Morning, 10/30/24, at 5:27 AM EST: Television talking heads are warning Americans to not believe anyone that proclaims themselves the winner of the election before the results are fully known. The warning is obviously based on Trump's baby behavior in 2020 and no one wants to see that mess repeated. Trump, however, has lawyers and preliminary lawsuits in place to fight the election results if he loses. This is why tens of millions of citizens view Trump as an a-hole. Interestingly, does Donnie's data show him likely losing so he is laying the groundwork to battle the election in the courts? Are people not sick of the Trump baby games? Trump tells his followers on the Truth Social platform to "REPORT CHEATING TO AUTHORITIES." Donnie is yelling with the message in caps and then follows up with another post; "Pennsylvania is cheating, and getting caught, at large scale levels rarely seen before." Trump provides no proof or information about large scale fraud occurring. Of course he does not; he is an orange-headed a-hole sowing doubt in American minds about the election in case he loses. Isn't it nauseating?
Over 50 million have voted thus far. There were 158 million voters in 2020 so nearly one-third of Americans that are eligible to vote did so already. 2,500 voter registration forms are scrutinized in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, for errors, omissions, incorrect addresses, sketch signatures and other problems. The forms arrive at the office just before the registration deadline and may have been part of an effort to sign people up to vote. Two other counties in Pennsylvania have flagged similar bundles of registration forms. Officials will sort through the registrations one by one to validate the information. About 2 in 5 of the 2,500 ballots in Lancaster County (this is Amish country and is pronounced lan-kiss-ster not lan-cast-er) are acceptable and accurate and processed normally.
Note Added Wednesday Evening, 10/30/24, at 7:07 PM EST: Author Naomi Wolf, known for various conspiracy theories and feminist activism, that typically moves in liberal circles, endorses Donnie Trump saying that he is more inclusive. It likely has more to do with having empathy for Trump since she is also a target on social media. Hollywood movie star and muscleman Arnold Schwarzenegger endorses Harris. Super singer/songwriter Cyndi Lauper endorses Kamala Harris. Of course she does because "Girls Just Want to Have Fun." The 'Year of the Woman' and 'first female president' may be on the way. Famous Puerto Rican reggae and musical artist Nicky Jam retracts his prior endorsement of Donnie Trump because of Tony Hinchcliffe's garbage joke at the rally. The Biden comment calling Trump supporters "garbage" has legs today and is covered by the democrat-controlled media. Harris is questioned on the bad comment by brain dead Biden and she does a good job distancing herself saying she disagrees with Biden. After all, she did not make the statement although the republicans want to keep tying Biden and Harris together since Biden is unpopular. Harris repeats the message that she would be president for everyone even those that did not vote for her. Most Americans will likely write-off the Biden garbage comment as another gaff from Alzheimer's Joe. Humorously, it is easy to see why the Harris camp did not want Biden to campaign for Harris. Showman Trump dons an orange vest, that matches his orange head, and sits in the passenger side of a garbage truck to emphasize Biden's stupid remark. Donnie looks ridiculous like the McDonalds photo-op. Trump is wearing a $400 custom-tailored white silk shirt with gold cufflinks topped off with the orange vest. It is the silly season. Now that both corrupt political parties have aired their garbage in public, the situation will likely be neutralized. Harris likely wanted to pimp the Kill Tony Puerto Rican garbage joke through Election Day but after the Biden garbage gaff, the garbage word may disappear from the daily news. What other October surprises are in store with Halloween on tap tomorrow?
Harris spoke at North Carolina this morning, Pennsylvania in the afternoon, and Wisconsin tonight. Trump was also in North Carolina and flies to Wisconsin for a rally with popular retired NFL (American football) player Brett Favre. Donnie ignores Haley's comment about limiting the macho testosterone bromance stuff. Donnie likes men with muscles. Favre, the vicodin-popping hillbilly, is kneeling and kissing Trump's dupa because he probably wants Donnie to win so he can pardon his involvement in a welfare scandal. What a corrupt world. Humans complicate their lives with nefarious deeds that feed their greed.
Elon Musk, now a surrogate to Trump, is ordered to appear in court tomorrow to address the $1 million per day giveaway only to those that will vote for Donnie. A beauty queen from Switzerland, Beatrice Keul, now 53, says she was groped by Trump after he lured her to his hotel suite in 1993. This late October surprise will probably not gain much traction since everyone knows Donnie is a womanizer. Wired reports that Elon Musk's America PAC, that is providing the ground game for the election, is mistreating its canvassers and door knockers. Workers provide video of being driven around in the back of a U-Haul van when they were told they would have rental cars. If Trump loses, he will throw Musk under the bus saying he screwed-up with the entire ground game.
The Pennsylvania Democratic Party sues the Erie County Board of Elections due to problems with thousands of mail-in ballots. Erie County is important since it has picked the presidential winners in recent years. As Erie goes, so goes the nation. Billboard company Kennedy Outdoor Advertising in Ohio removes an advertisement they placed of Kamala Harris on her knees with her mouth open (a sexual position) and a caption saying, "Kamala can't talk right now, she's at a baby shower." Next to it is a positive advertisement for Trump. The company says they do not condone an image like that and made a mistake installing it (yeah, sure). The derogatory picture of Harris was computer generated. RK Towing, obvious MAGA fans and Trump backers, paid for the billboard that was up from Friday through Sunday so it was viewed by tens of thousands of people.
A teenage idiot, Caleb Williams, is arrested in Florida for wielding a machete at democrat voters at a polling site. The natives are getting restless. Over 250K people have cancelled their Washington Post subscriptions due to the Bezos non-endorsement scandal. Apple Air Tags and other GPS trackers are being used to find thieves that steal political yard signs. That is one of the oldest dirty tricks in politics. Wherever you see your opponents campaign sign on the side of the road, you replace it with your sign, and throw theirs over the hill into the woods.
Note Added Thursday Morning, Halloween, 10/31/24, at 4:12 AM EST: A 19-year old Chinese student at the University of Michigan stupidly registers and places a vote in the United States election. The jackass is not a US citizen so officials charge him with crimes including making false statements. His name is not released; is this special treatment to placate communist China? If it was you or your child, older than 18 years old, that committed a crime, their name would be plastered across the internet and newspapers. Such is America's crony capitalism system. The US Supreme Court rules against lower courts in Virginia allowing the state to purge the voter rolls of non-citizens (which should be blocked from voting). Campaign operatives on both sides are talking about potential under polling. Trump proponents say the polls continue to undercount the republican votes and enthusiasm like the 2016 and 2020 elections. Anecdotally, at least in western Pennsylvania, there is no one shy about being a Trump supporter in fact, they are typically the big mouths.
The statistics and data guy on CNN (democrat-run media), Harry Enten, says a party has never been underestimated in the polls in the battleground states for three years in a row with data going back to 1972. In other words, it is doubtful that Trump's numbers are being underestimated in the polls this year but no one will know if this is true until all the votes are tallied next week. If anything, the shy voters this time around are the Harris supporters. The 538 polling site (it is called 538 because that is the total US Electoral College votes; 270 and higher declares the winner) predicts a Trump win based on their computer program running 100 times and showing that Trump wins 52 times and Harris 48 times not exactly a ringing endorsement. 538 shows that Trump has a favorability of 43.6% and Harris 46.3%. Favorability is an important indicator for elections. Americans will be headed to the polls five days from now and the weekends go fast. Over 55 million Americans have voted thus far about 35% of the expected total. Wow. Over one-third of Americans eligible to vote have already voted so the 'garbage' talk now spewed by both corrupt tribes matters to less and less people. It is a game of turnout now. Someone should ask Elon how the get out the vote campaign is going for Donnie. Harris, at least in western Pennsylvania, appears to have the typical solid democrat ground game in place.
Note Added Thursday Morning, Halloween, 10/31/24, at 5:53 AM EST: A Harris advertisement on American televisions shows two middle-aged white women at the polls with their husbands telling them it is time to vote. The men are Trump supporters and want their 'women-folk' to 'toe the line' and vote for Donnie as well. The ladies walk to their voting stations and instead vote for Harris and then tell their husbands they did as they were told. Keystone talks about this in the front matter of this article. Decades ago, families voted a certain way but nowadays husbands and wives often cancel each other out. There are Tik Tok and other videos showing women dancing and doing other antics celebrating that they voted for Harris canceling out their husband's vote. Trump needed to kiss Nikki Haley's butt to win over the one-fifth disgruntled republican voters, especially women, but he figures all of these votes will come home to him on Election Day and kiss his ring. This election may have the most split-ticket voting ever seen in recent decades. Some republicans that did not want to join the new retrumplican party may vote for the republicans for the House and Senate but leave the president slot blank or vote for Harris. Some democrats that are unhappy with the woke stuff and incompetent leadership in the country, will vote for Harris but be more choosy for House and Senate candidates even picking a republican if he or she is a competent manager. The themes of the election are women, machismo, abortion, 'not Trump', 'first woman president', inflation/economy, competency, immigration/crime, and of course, garbage.
Note Added Thursday Afternoon, Halloween, 10/31/24, at 5:00 PM EST: Newsmax (republican-run media) says Joe Rogan told Kill Tony not to do the Puerto Rico joke. The plot thickens. Was Rogan the guy in charge of reviewing the comedic material for the Trump team? The 'garbage' talk is fading into the background with both corrupt political parties getting as much mileage as possible from the Kill Tony joke and Biden gaff.
Trump is in the southwestern states courting the Latino votes. In New Mexico, a state that should go for the democrats, the orange head proclaimed, "Your votes are rigged." Is this what people want in a president? He is in Arizona at a Tucker Carlson-hosted event. Trump verbally attacks Liz Cheny, a never-Trumper republican that is voting for Harris, using graphic derogatory language and talking about executions. Donnie is mad at Cheney because she was on the panel that investigated his behavior during the 1/6/21 Capitol Hill riot. King Trump turned the republicans against Cheney forcing her out of the party and crippling her political career. Her Dad, Dick Cheney, was vice president for President George W Bush. Trump decrees, "She's (Liz Cheney) a deranged person. She always wanted to go to war with people. I don't want to go to war. She wanted to go, she wanted to stay in Syria, I took them out, she wanted to stay in Iraq, I took them out, I mean, if it were up to her we'd, we'd be in 50 different countries. I don't blame him (former Vice President Dick Cheney) for sticking with his daughter, but his daughter is a very dumb individual, very dumb (audience laughs). She's a radical war hawk, let's put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her, let's see how she feels about it, you know when the guns are trained on her face. You know, they're all war hawks when they are sitting in Washington in a nice building saying ah gee, well, let's a, let's a send 10,000 troops right into the mouth of the enemy. But she's a stupid person. She always wanted to go to war with people." That is tough talk from little Donnie that had a doctor sign a paper that he had bone spurs in his tiny feet to get out of going into the military during Vietnam. Poor kids go to war; not rich kids. Trump was an athlete all through school but developed foot problems when he knew it would be his arse on the line in Nam. He is not a tough guy. He's a joke. Cheney quickly responds saying, "This is how dictators destroy free nations. They threaten those who speak against them with death." This story has legs. The Trump team steps in to do damage control and says that Donnie was making the point that the people deciding about war are not the ones that fight it. He could have simply said that without using incendiary and hateful language metaphorically pointing nine barrels at Cheney's head. Carlson was frozen in place as Trump went on his rampage against Liz Cheney with a look on his face that he did not want to be associated with such violent language directed against another human being, but Tucker lies in bed with Donnie and will support the vitriol. Both corrupt political parties are experiencing unforced errors down the stretch but will it matter? Everybody probably already decided how they will vote; some people like to show up on Election Day for the sake of tradition. Will Donnie's machismo manly strategy win against Kamala's 'year of the woman' strategy? Are the women walking around winking at one another a secret signal that they voted for Harris?
Harris is in Nevada courting the Latino voters with help from famous singer Jennifer Lopez (J Lo). Harris seizes on remarks from Trump about immigration proclaiming that he will protect women and, "I'm going to do it whether the women like it or not." It is interesting that Donnie refers to the female sex as "the women" rather than simply saying "women." Harris says the comments are offensive and show a lack of respect for women. Harris decrees, "He (Trump) does not believe women should have the agency and authority to make decision about their own bodies. He simply does not respect the freedom of women or the intelligence of women to know what's in their own best interest and make decisions accordingly." Now that the 'garbage' talk is fading, Harris will be pimping this new theme that 'Trump thinks he is a protector of women' over the next four days. It is reported in a few media sources that Trump campaign staff told him to not frame himself as a protector of women as if they are too frail and unable to protect themselves, but he went in that direction anyway.
Over 60 million Americans have voted already about 40% of the electorate matching the early turnout in the 2016 race. 70% of voters took the early voting option in 2020 as the country was fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. Pennsylvania data shows republicans are voting early in greater numbers than prior elections. Trump lost the 2020 election because he stupidly told his supporters to not vote early and instead wait until the day of the election; that was asinine and a disastrous decision. Trump remedies his 2020 mistake now supporting early voting with open arms.
Harris capitalizes on the comments from Speaker Johnson on Monday about potentially nixing the Affordable Care Act. Senior citizens are concerned about what Trump has planned but as usual, he and Johnson do not provide details. At the debate, Trump said he has "concepts" of what changes he would make to the ACA and that was met with collective groans on both sides of the aisle. The Trump camp is becoming increasingly worried about the perception that the republicans want to drastically modify the Affordable Care Act. J D Vance, Trump's running mate, appears on the Joe Rogan podcast only a few days after Trump. The republicans are kissing the Rogan ring pimping the machismo mood. The topics include COVID-19, transgender folks, radical Islamists and pop culture. The interview does not receive much attention with all the other drama occurring.
Harris surrogate billionaire Mark Cuban sticks his foot in his mouth on "The View" television show where women sit around on their fat behinds mouthing-off about politics. Cuban proclaims, "Trump, you never see him around strong and intelligent women, ever." Ladies, why do men keep saying stupid stuff? Republican operatives quickly slam the statement. Cuban is active on social media so the statement receives lots of attention especially from young people. It is like the Biden gaff calling Trump supporters garbage. Of course there are smart and intelligent women around Trump. Cuban is a dufus. Trump does appear to have hang-ups in interacting with women and talking about women, but he does have plenty of smart ladies around providing input just like Harris. Right when Harris is gaining traction with her new theme emphasizing that women favor her more than Trump, Cuban harpoons the discussion. Bloomberg reports that 55% of the early voting in the swing states is women running at about the same pace as 2020.
Note Added Thursday Evening, Halloween, 10/31/24, at 10:00 PM EST: Pennsylvania courts rule that the mail-in voting in Bucks County will be extended by three days. Trump and the McCormick Senate campaign in Pennsylvania filed the lawsuit after people stood in long lines and were turned away from voting in the republican-leaning county. In Pennsylvania's Senate race, incumbent democrat Bob Casey faces off against republican challenger Dave McCormick that lost to Fetterman for a House seat in 2022. The court ruling will slightly benefit republicans. In North Carolina, about two-thirds of the electorate have already voted and the republicans have their chests puffed out claiming future victory in this swing state. North Carolina and Georgia will likely go for Trump. The real fun on Election Day begins with Pennsylvania. Republicans are cheering the early voting in Nevada claiming that the results are going their way including bringing in lots of new young voters. The Trump camp promises that the 'results will be apocalyptic for democrats' in Nevada. Of course they do. Are Trump surrogates bragging that Trump is in position to easily win the election to convince people that he was cheated if he loses? With only a few days remaining until Election Day, the Trumpsters are confident thinking they will ride to victory on Tuesday while the democrats, that tend to be more pessimistic, are worried about the tight race. An objective opinion on the race right now is that Harris has a slight edge based on anecdotal factors and a potential stealth woman vote but polls indicate that Trump has the slight advantage. The democrats are talking about a stealth woman vote that may drive the entire election (women voting for Harris including those married to domineering men that tell them to vote for Donnie).
Note Added Friday Morning, 11/1/24, at 4:11 AM EST: Real Clear Politics pollsters say that New Hampshire is now a toss-up state so the four Electoral College votes may flip from the democrat camp into the republican camp (unlikely). Trump should be focused on Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan (Blue Wall; the Great Lakes battleground states that lean democrat) rather than spending time in states that will likely go democrat such as New Hampshire and New Mexico. Incompetent Democrat Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold is caught-up in a scandal where she posted a spreadsheet to the government website but it contained voting-machine passwords. The public caught the mistake and Colorado is scrambling to remedy the situation. Americans want competent people in government and this was a key theme of the 2022 mid-term elections, along with abortion, and these issues should remain front and center to voters on Tuesday.
Note Added Friday Morning, 11/1/24, at 6:19 AM EST: Real Clear Politics reiterates its favorable numbers for Trump saying the orange head is up +0.3% country-wide and up +0.9% in the swing states. Republicans puff their chests out and are already designing landscape changes for the Rose Garden. Elon Musk did not show up in court yesterday for a hearing on his $1 million daily giveaway to Trump supporters that others allege is a scheme to buy votes. Both sides stated their case and the judge moves the matter into the federal court system. Outspoken NBA basketball star and activist LeBron James endorses Harris and posts a derogatory montage video about Trump on the X (Twitter) platform under his handle 'King James'. LeBron insinuates that Trump has racist tendencies and does not like black people. The vitriol is at fevers pitch with the Tuesday Election Day approaching fast, but not quick enough to stop the excessive negativity. As previously mentioned, the majority of Trump detractors and opponents do not think the orange head is racist, or Hitler, or a threat to democracy, they simply think that Donnie is an *sshole, and they do not want to vote for an *sshole. Do not overthink it.
Both Harris and Trump plan rallies this evening in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, only 7 miles apart. They will eat cheese hoping to win votes. In Pennsylvania, the television and radio political ads are non-stop with Harris ads dominant probably because they have more money to spend than Donnie. In Pittsburgh, at Point State Park, preparations are underway for a rally and concert on Monday night, Election Eve, hosted by Kamala Harris. Sue-happy Trump files court papers against CBS News and the "60 Minutes" show concerning an interview with Vice President Harris. Trump claims the editing of the interview placed him at a disadvantage in the election. Baby Trump, King Cry Baby, knows the lawsuit has zero merit and it will go nowhere but Donnie sues for the publicity and attention. Perhaps campaign funds are thin so Trump is getting innovative to keep the cameras focused on his orange head. The US Monthly Jobs Report is only 12K jobs created versus the 100K expected. The republicans seize the data and proclaim that the Biden-Harris team are failures. In reality, the number was expected to be low due to the disruptions in the labor market created by ongoing strikes and storms.
Note Added Friday Afternoon, 11/1/24, at 3:00 PM EST: CNBC media reports on Musk's American PAC handling the door to door canvassing and ground game for Donnie Trump. Everyone has their greedy hands on the $100 million of Elon's money in the super PAC that split the Trump ground game among four companies; Blitz canvassing, Echo Canyon Consulting, Patriot Grassroots and The Synapse Group. A stink develops with canvassers not carrying out their duties but reporting that they made contact with the potential voter. This calls into question the data that the Trump team is referencing for the election since many of the folks in the ground game may be padding their reports collecting money for little work. Elon Musk believes that his ground game will be successful at placing Trump in the Whitehouse again but what does a glorified golf cart (EV) maker (Tesla) know about political strategy? Trump's orange mouth is salivating while reviewing the successful ground game data but does not know that much of it may have been made from whole cloth.
Republicans are bragging that low-propensity voters, these are new voters, are showing up in large numbers for early voting. The GOP (Grand Ole Party; republicans) is thinking the election is in the bag for Trump because of this data but are they blinded by the obvious? They cite the southern and southwestern states for this data and those are the exact states that folks from New York and the northeast, sick of the democrats, left to move south. These people, mostly republicans, flocked to the Carolina's, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Texas, Arizona (they say it's a dry heat), and New Mexico. Maybe the reason these states see an uptick in republican voter registrations is because these are the displaced people sick of living in democrat-run cities that moved to the red states?
The Access Hollywood tape from nine years ago of Trump talking on the bus about handling women in a sexual manner with quotes like, "Grab them by the p*ssy, you can do anything (to women when you are rich or a star)." Generation Z young people are seeing the tape for the first time as it goes viral on social internet. Everyone thought Donnie's campaign in 2016 was cooked because of his dirty words on the bus but his wife Melania saved the day saying in her cute accent that he was talking "boy talk" or lockerroom talk. The country moved on and Trump won the presidency. What do young people think of Trump's braggadocio, foul language and sick opinion about what he can do to women?
Republicans continue exuding confidence that Trump will win the election and are spending time and resources on states that are slightly on the democrat side such as New Hampshire, Virginia, Minnesota, New Mexico, Nevada and New Jersey. The Trump team must have reasons for feeling confident or they may be creating this happy vibe to help make the case that he was cheated if he loses. Time will tell. Trump spending time in New Mexico, Minnesota, Virginia and those other states listed may be analogous to the football player, a pass receiver, that is looking downfield and thinking about which way to run (other marginal states) before he has the ball (swing states) but this distraction in thinking causes him to not catch the ball (lose the election). In other words, Donnie needs to focus on the swing states namely Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan. These results will be reported first on Tuesday evening. Trump should win Georgia and North Carolina. If he loses either one, he is in for a long night. Trump is on tap for four visits to North Carolina down this home stretch that makes you think that he does not have the state as locked-up as the republican surrogates claim.
Note Added Friday Evening, 11/1/24, at 8:00 PM EST: Arizona Attorney General Mayes is looking into investigating former President Trump for a potential death threat against Liz Cheney. If you were an average citizen and made aggressive threats against someone like Trump did, you will likely do 3 months in the county lock-up. Do not ever threaten to kill someone because if your temper takes over and you spew threats, you will be spending a few weeks in a jail cell with Guido and Tony and there are only two bunks. Nothing will happen to Trump; it is the silly season and the courts do not want bothered. The vitriol from both sides will continue into Tuesday. Trump continues damage control after his Liz Cheney verbal attack. If you are explaining, you are losing. King Donnie should be talking about the economy and the weak 12K jobs number this morning, a key election issue, but instead he is trying to clean-up his stupid *sshole remarks about Liz Cheney.
A stink develops at the Whitehouse when Biden's staff alters the transcript of Sleepy Joe's garbage comment. The Whitehouse officials add an apostrophe trying to make it sound like Biden was only directing his garbage comment at the comedian that made the Puerto Rico garbage joke and not the Trump supporters he called garbage, but no one is buying it. The stenographer is upset that someone would alter her work. Are you starting to understand America's crony capitalism system?
Surprisingly, Trump doubles down on the ignorant comments directed at Liz Cheney. On route to the Milwaukee rally this evening at a couple of stops, Trump proclaims, "I think that Liz Cheney is a disaster. All she wants to do is blow people up, she's a war hawk, and a dumb one at that, and if you ever put her in the field of battle, she would be the first one to chicken-out, she wouldn't fight. She's a coward. She's a war hawk and wants to go kill people unnecessarily. She's a disgrace." It is obvious that Donnie hates Liz Cheney with every fiber of his being. He calls her a coward when he is the one that suddenly felt bone spurs on his foot when Vietnam came calling. It is an ugly look for Trump with the election approaching fast. Donnie should not be attacking a woman with such vitriol during the final days of the campaign when he can be talking about the economy. Trump is his own worst enemy but if he loses the election he will blame everyone else except himself. That's Our Donnie.
The dueling rallies in Milwaukee take place tonight as both candidates try to focus on final messages that may win over the small number of voters that remain undecided. Harris speaks for one-half hour while Trump speaks for an hour and one-half. Donnie once again claims he won the 2020 election. This is why many Americans think the orange head is an *sshole and will not vote for him; he cannot admit that he lost the election against Biden. The dufus still does not understand that each time he says he won the 2020 election he loses votes. He touts the nonsense to throw red meat to his base, including the boot-lickers that show up at the rallies, thinking a big turnout by his base will be better than telling the truth about an election that happened four years ago. We will find out on Tuesday.
Famous singer Cardi B joins Kamala Harris at the rally. Harris says Trump remains consumed with "grievance" and she is obviously correct based on the ugly display of hatred directed at Liz Cheney. Donnie wants to win the election so he can pardon himself out of his legal problems and at the same time seek revenge on political opponents. Those are not goals that help Americans. Harris says that Trump's attacks against Cheney make him "unqualified" for the presidency. Kamala Harris repeats the line about giving people that disagree with her a seat at the table. She also repeats that Trump wants to come to power with an 'enemies list' while she wants to show up for work at the Oval Office with a "to-do list." Harris is staying on message better than Trump but stay tuned since things seem to flip back and forth day by day or hour by hour.
The federal court sends the lawsuit against Elon Musk's $1 million daily giveaway for Trump supporters back to the state court. The election is Tuesday so the case will likely go nowhere and be ditched once the votes are counted. The Supreme Court rules that Pennsylvania may count the back-up provisional ballots when the mail ballots are rejected. People make mistakes, such as forgetting to use the secrecy envelope, when voting by mail and these ballots must be rejected. However, a provisional ballot can be placed if the voter thinks they made a mistake or if they are contacted by the election office. The decision may impact only a few thousand votes but in a tight contest, the provisional ballots in Pennsylvania may become a central focus.
Note Added Saturday, 11/2/24: President Biden is headed to Scranton, Pennsylvania, today, his birthplace, to help with the Harris campaign (that is likely praying that Sleepy Joe, with is onset of dementia and Alzheimer's, does not do harm by saying something stupid again). Professor and historian Allan Lichtman repeats his prediction that Kamala Harris will win the election. Lichtman, over his 42 year career, relies on his '13 keys to the Whitehouse' that has predicted nine of the last 10 presidential elections. Although he stands by his Harris prediction, Lichtman remains nervous about the outcome. Georgia's early voting ends yesterday with over 4 million people participating; more than the 2020 tally.
Trump announces plans for a final rally Monday night at Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he will court the Arab-American vote he hopes will make a difference in winning the state. The rally will be from 6 PM local time to midnight with Donnie speaking at 10:30 PM. The seven purple swing states (Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, Nevada and Arizona) are receiving all the attention for this election cycle with the other 43 red and blue states looking like chopped liver already committing to their respective camps (California is democrat, Texas is republican, etc...). Harris needs the 'Blue Wall' (Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan) to win that is why Donnie's final rally is in Michigan and Kamala's is in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Trump calls in to the "Fox & Friends" cable news television weekend morning show on Fox News (republican-run media) proclaiming, "The most beautiful word is tariffs." His voice is going hoarse from the final push towards Election Day. The couch-sitting talking heads commiserate with Donnie sympathizing with each of his grievances.
Liz Cheney makes a plea to former President George W Bush to endorse Harris and denounce Trump's violent rhetoric about pointing gun barrels at her face. Speaking of faces, there are several pictures of Donnie Trump's face circulating on social media showing his orange make-up, or bronzer, or whatever that stuff is that makes his noggin orange. People are posting funny messages and memes about he orange make-up. The demarcation line between his pale white old man skin and his orange tone is clearly visible around his forehead and down in front of his ears. Maybe he will fire the make-up girl next. He must buy that orange bronzer stuff by the case.
Trump talks cryptically about a secret deal he has with fellow republican Speaker of the House Johnson but does not elaborate. This leads to speculation by the media and political junkies that the two of them may not permit the finalization of the election results if Trump loses. Speaker Johnson is asked about the 'secret deal' with Trump and he plays coy saying that the former president simply meant to get out the vote (yeah, sure). It is not a good look for Trump going into Election Day. What is Trump and Johnson planning? Can they be trusted?
Trump is doing rallies in North Carolina and Virginia today while Harris will be stumping in Georgia and North Carolina. J D Vance plans on visiting North Carolina, Pennsylvania and New Hampshire tomorrow. Tim Walz is in Arizona. The candidates are crisscrossing the swing states trying to eek out every last vote.
Trump surrogate and republican Florida Representative Byron Donalds appears on CNN (democrat-run media) on the "Smerconish" television show. Donalds is asked if there are any regrets about Trump not making Nikki Haley a bigger part of the campaign; she could have helped with the female vote. Interestingly, Donalds says it is Haley that should have beat down Trump's door to help with the campaign not the other way around where Trump must kiss her butt. That is Trump's lousy personality; he still has not learned that he is the one running for office so by definition he needs to kneel and kiss butt not the other way around. Donnie may lose the election due to the female vote and that would be his own fault for refusing to court Nikki Haley and her followers. Donalds is Trump's little b*tch that grovels at Donnie's feet and does not understand why everyone does not want to kneel in front of the orange one and kiss his wingtips. It is funny. Donalds kisses Donald's dupa.
Things are not going smoothly for Donnie today. Did he peak one-week too early as Kamala ramps-up and peaks going into the Tuesday election? Trump has trouble with the podium microphones at two of the events today and his patience is tested. He wants to fire the people involved in the sound equipment. Trump says he will go backstage and knock heads continuing his machismo election strategy. Donnie is the "Macho Man." He probably has a pair of chaps in the closet.
A scandal develops at a Mt Pleasant, Pennsylvania, parade when one of the participants is a golf cart with a Trump sign. A person is dressed up in a suit and red tie and wearing a Trump mask standing on the back of the golf cart. A mock gun is on tap to simulate a sniper. A rope is tethered from the back end of the golf cart to the hands of a lady dressed in a red suit that looks like Kamala Harris. She is walking behind the golf cart bound by the rope like a prisoner. Some say it simulates a lynching but that is reading a little more into the tasteless parade float. People complain about how a political display got into a parade that was supposed to be fun. Officials are pointing fingers at one another and there is nothing that can be done now that the parade is over. Mt Pleasant is a nice community and residents are mad that the town is now labeled as endorsing a tasteless and vulgar Trump parade float. Why do people think that a shameful display like this will win any votes? It actually chases people away. No one wants associated with such trash.
72 million people have voted thus far in the US election. Based on the 158 million that voted in 2020, over 45% of the electorate have voted; call it 50% or one-half the electorate. That is a big early voting crowd but analysts still cannot ascertain who it advantages. Humorously, Trump operatives say their data indicates that it is better to be Trump right now than Harris, however, the Harris operatives say their data shows that it is better to be Harris now than Trump. Flip a coin.
The Drudge Report (democrat-run media) drops a bombshell this evening saying that the Des-Moines Register poll in the red state Iowa swings into Harris's favor by 47% to 44%. It is a shocking development. The democrat-run media cheers the poll calling it, and Ann Selzer, the lady behind the poll, the gold standard. Is there a stealth woman vote that is checking the box for Harris no matter what the ladies are telling coworkers, friends, or even their hubby? A deeper dive of the Iowa data shows that the rural women are voting for Kamala Harris and this is likely sending shivers up King Trump's orange spine. If this newly identified, potential, trend with women breaking for Harris appears in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, that are not physically far from Iowa (Wisconsin and Iowa share a border), Trump is toast and we will have our first female president next week. King Donnie needs to tell the macho men that are voting for him to tell their 'women folk' to 'toe the line' and vote for him (this strategy may not be working out too well; the ladies know they have a mind of their own and may be fed up with men running the country). Harris is from Venus and Trump is from Mars. Is the election women versus men? More women vote than men and this holds true during early voting.
Trump talks at three rallies today. He still claims to have won the 2020 election but now describes it as "things happened" during that election. He is an a-hole that cannot admit he lost the last election. It is nauseating. You can see the narrative that he is developing a mile away. If he wins this time around, he will probably decree himself the winner of the 2020 election in some manner. It is sickening stuff that does not help the American people. Donnie implies that the robust turnout in early voters are all his supporters and he is running away with the election win. It is more a-hole talk and another narrative he is building in case he loses. In truth, there is not enough data available about the early voting to indicate an advantage for Trump or Harris. Why is it so hard for everyone to tell the truth nowadays? Trump calls himself the "Father of Fertilization" referring to IVF (in vitro fertilization) that the dufus did not fully understand until last week. Donnie is a piece of work.
As Trump speaks claiming that Kamala Harris never worked at McDonalds, an audience member yells, "she worked on a street corner." Trump hears the comment and pauses, and agrees with the audience member, everyone laughs and cheers, and then he tells the rally attendees to remember that he is not saying that, others are saying that. Why would anyone want to be at a rally where you cheer and laugh at calling a woman, vying for the presidency, a prostitute? Trump introduced insult politics into the election game in 2016 when he first called Jeb Bush "low energy." The era of insult politics was born. Trump's insults, name-calling and petty politicking is getting old.
Trump stupidly claims that the right track/wrong track poll is at 90% saying the country is on the wrong track. The orange head loses credibility with his non-stop embellishments of daily topics; the half-truths, or lies, makes him an unbelievable and unserious person. The right track/wrong track poll typically tracks at about two-thirds of the country leaning in one direction or the other and this time is no different. 60% to 67%, call it a little less than two-thirds of the voters, believe the country is on the wrong track (based on 13 current polls). Donnie was only about 30 percentage points off with his embellishment, or lie. Nonetheless, Trump is waving the right track/wrong track banner, as he should, because when the country believes it is on the wrong track, they vote for the challenger not the incumbent. This is why Trump lost in 2020. As explained in the right track/wrong track section in the front matter of this article, this time is different because Trump was booted from office because he was on the wrong track (he has the taint of the wrong track). Also, Harris is not the incumbent; that would be Sleepy Joe Biden. The indicator is a great predictor of the winner, which explains Trump's braggadocio at the rally this evening, and you would rather be Trump than Harris based on the right track/wrong track poll, but is it different this time because he was on the wrong track four years ago? Biden is on the wrong track now. Who is the fresh candidate not specifically-tied to the wrong track? We will find out if the highly-reliable right track/wrong track poll is correct next week, or, if this time is different since both Trump and Biden have been labeled as wrong track politicians over the last four years.
Kamala Harris appears on the comedy show "Saturday Night Live" that leans left keeping step with Hollywood (negative jokes and skits are directed at Trump while Harris receives a softer touch). James Austin Johnson is the hilarious comedian impersonating Donald Trump. Maya Rudolph is the comedian that impersonates Kamala Harris. It is funny stuff.
Note Added Sunday, 11/3/24: A poll in the coveted Erie County in northwestern Pennsylvania, that has picked all the presidential winners in recent elections, is deadlocked at 48% for Harris and 48% for Trump. Pennsylvania, and its 67 counties, remains the key state that will likely decide the next president and a summary of polls show the contest tied. People are holding their nose and voting. The democrat votes come from the Greater Pittsburgh region that is Allegheny County in the western side of the state, and from the Greater Philadelphia area in the southeastern side of the state. The counties in the middle are republican votes so the election pits city folk against country folk but in Pennsylvania we do not look at it that way; we are all a blend of each. Everyone gets along in these parts and universally agree that Wednesday will be a great day since the political ads will disappear.
In Pittsburgh, the crews at Point State Park are breaking-down the stage, speakers, lighting and equipment at the Kamala Harris "get out the vote concert" that is now canceled. The workers say the event will no longer occur at Point State Park but do not know the new location. The Harris team has not disclosed where a rally would occur on Monday night. Was Harris concerned that Donnie was going to show-up in Pittsburgh on Monday directly ahead of her event to ruin it if he could? It looks like he did. As of now, the Harris camp does not know where Kamala's final event will take place. Rain is not an issue since Pittsburgh is heading into a several-day warm-up period and it remains seasonally warm in the area. Kamala is in search of a venue.
A stink develops after Kamala Harris's appearance on SNL last evening. The FCC's equal time rule says a licensed broadcaster must provide equal time to competing political candidates. SNL would have needed to send an invitation to Donald Trump in addition to Kamala Harris but the Trump team says no invitation was received. It is dirty political tricks and the Hollywood and New York City democrats are putting their thumbs on the scale for Harris. Nothing can be done since the election is on Tuesday and the show does not air again until next weekend so the FCC will likely investigate and fine SNL and its parent companies.
538's Nate Silver predicts that Donald Trump will win the election at 55% odds compared to Kamala Harris with a 45% chance. 74 million people have voted with 56% women and 43% men. Women are outvoting men by double-digits. An ABC Nes/Ipsos poll released this morning shows that 74% of likely voters feel the country is on the wrong track an outlier above the consensus discussed above but it spells trouble for Harris if the American people paint her with the same Biden wrong track brush. Why are the polls tied if two-thirds to three-quarters of the country feel we are on the wrong track? Shouldn't Trump be way ahead? Biden was four years ago from 5 to 10 percentage points or more across the board with the individual states benefitting from Trump on the wrong track. Perhaps the right track/wrong track key poll may not matter as much this time around because the election is a referendum on Trump.
Harris is campaigning in Michigan. Trump begins the day in Pennsylvania and here we go again. The idiot proclaims that he should have never left the Whitehouse in early 2021. Isn't it nauseating? The orange head is unable to admit that he lost the 2020 election. The closing statement should be positive and encourage people to go to the polls to vote but instead Donnie beats that same dead 2020 election horse. Festivus must be Trump's favorite holiday since he likes to air his grievances. Trump says that he hopes he can get rid of fellow republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell as soon as possible. These two men dislike each other although McConnell has endorsed Trump.
Trump talks about the bulletproof glass on the stage around him and then points at the journalists calling them "fake news." Donnie proclaims, "To get me someone would have to shoot through the fake news, but I don't mind that." Trump is pumping out the dark rhetoric and harsh language trying to gin up the last votes in his base especially the rough and tough Philadelphians. Women do not respond well to the violent and shoot-em-up talk but he is probably going after young macho men for votes. Democrats are becoming quietly confident as Trump says weird stuff. A phrase around the Harris campaign is that they are "nauseously optimistic." Trump's voice is going hoarse.
ABC News reports that Trump is stiffing many local governments and businesses in several cities. Trump's shares of security costs such as extra police on duty accrue without Donnie pulling out the checkbook. There are collection agencies trying to recover the money from the orange headed deadbeat. Trump is a billionaire without any money.
NBC network (democrat-run media and home of SNL) provides equal air time to Donald Trump after the FCC raised concerns about Kamala Harris's appearance on the SNL comedy show. Donnie talks for a couple minutes during the Sunday Night Football game receiving free air time from NBC that is likely trying to avoid license trouble with the FCC.
Note Added Monday, 11/4/24: Vice President Harris will spend the day in Pennsylvania with events planned at Pittsburgh, Allentown and Philadelphia. She will host a "get out the vote" rally in Allentown followed by a rally and concert in Philly featuring Oprah, Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin. Donnie Trump plans to visit North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Michigan. He has an event planned at PPG Paints Arena (where the Pittsburgh Penguins NHL hockey team plays) and then a final rally with the Arab-Americans in Grand Rapids, Michigan, this evening.
Many talking head republicans, especially on AM talk radio, are rabid about a Trump win and consider it all but certain. The confidence is off the charts and one host proclaims that Trump will take Pennsylvania and most of the swing states. Others republicans say it will not even be close with Trump walking away with an easy win. Much of the republican braggadocio is based on early voting. King Donnie embraced early voting in this election cycle and his loyal subjects followed orders. It may be false hope on the republican side since all that matters is the total votes. Duh.
Trump keeps calling 2020 a rigged election and in part blames the early voting where the democrats dominated republicans and Biden went on to win that contest. Thus, the republican tribe thinks if they have a robust turnout for early voting, they will emerge victorious. Huh? If you have 100 voters, let us say 60 are voting for the blue team and 40 for the red team. If 30 of the red team show up for early voting and 25 of the blue team, the red team will brag that they have it in the bag. Alas, as the Election Day voting is included, the end result is 60 to 40 with the blue team winning.
It is difficult to grasp the republican reasoning for optimism around early voting but we should know the result this week. They are placing a lot of confidence in the new republican registrations over the last few months. If the republicans run away with it as many on their side proclaim, the early voting strategy will be a proven winner and it made a big difference growing the tent. If Trump loses again, however, the example in the previous paragraph would play out, and all that matters is who has the most votes in the end. The optimism on the republican side has many democrats extremely worried about the week ahead. Is the republican expectation for a handy win by Donnie Trump valid optimism or blind optimism?
The Iowa poll showing Harris ahead of Trump is receiving lots of attention. Analysts say a closer look shows older women breaking for Harris in the final days. Another voting group that has received little attention is colleges. The democrats may be able to run up votes for Harris with a big showing of young college-age liberals if their ground game was effective.
Trump wears a long black duster coat as the final day of campaigning begins. Hollywood Donnie wants someone, anyone, to comment that he looks like Clint Eastwood in the spaghetti western movies (rough and tough cowboys would don long dusters) so then he can brag and say that everyone thinks he looks like a macho he-man with that long coat. It is imagery he is trying to use to keep pumping the young male macho vote. That is a glimpse into Donnie's childlike mind. Trump is no Clint Eastwood. Donnie is more like Howdy Doody, orange hair and all.
Trump continues to talk about stupid stuff during his closing speeches. He goes through a spiel about Harris doing a bad job and proclaims, "Kamala, you're fired, get the Hell out" and the crowd goes wild. The barbarians are at the door. Trump bashes Fox News that has tried to go more neutral with news and politics. Donnie prefers Newsmax and OAN. Trump denigrates Michelle Obama because she said disparaging things about him. He calls Nancy Pelosi a "bad, sick woman. She's crazy as a bedbug." Trump comments on when then Speaker Pelosi tore up Trump's speech during a State of the Union address and says, "She could've gone to jail for that." Pelosi was a lowlife for ripping up that speech and it is one of the biggest negatives of her legacy. Even in her heart of hearts, she would likely not do that again if given a second chance; it was ignorant and petty. Donnie's closing message is this hodgepodge grievance stuff and only small mentions of jobs, inflation, economy, immigration and crime.
Harris is barnstorming across Pennsylvania. She is no longer mentioning Trump by name. She is trying to focus on a positive message in contrast to Trump's darker and macho message. Harris decrees, "We all have so much more in common than what separates us. There is power in that." Both candidates are promising the sun and the moon to anyone that joins their hive. There is 8% of the voters remaining that have not made a decision so these procrastinators will decide who becomes president.
Over 79 million people have voted so one-half of the expected vote is already in the bag and if the turnout is a bit light, perhaps due to voter apathy, over half of the electorate has already voted. Republicans puff their chests out with confidence because being ahead in early voting means the democrats have a tougher road ahead playing catch-up tomorrow. Republicans believe they have it in the bag because of the new registrations.
The election becomes even more strange with sticky notes. There is a stealth campaign occurring among women where little sticky notes are showing up in different places such as ladies rooms and the messages on the notes encourage women to vote for Harris. The notes say, "Your boyfriend or husband does not have to know how you vote," and "voting is your right," and "your vote is private and no one needs to know." The final tallies with the female vote will be interesting. It is guaranteed that men are not putting sticky notes on urinals.
Former Congresswoman Liz Cheney responds to Trump's rhetoric directed against her opining, "He knows what he's doing. He knows it's a threat to intimidate. Obviously, the intimidation won't work."
The reason that the Harris camp cancelled the rally and concert at Point State Park, where the three rivers meet in the heart of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is because of Secret Service concerns. It was too risky of a venue to maintain safety. That is a shame since an event by the fountain would have been great. It is likely too wide open of an area that overlooks the rivers on each side.
The event is moved to Carrie Furnaces an old industrial blast furnace site. A blast furnace is a seven-story tall vessel where limestone, coke, iron ore and gases are added, mixed and heated producing hot molten steel that flows out the bottom of the tower like bright red water and poured into ingots or molds. The Harris crowd is huge and you would think you are looking at a Trump rally. Young students are bussed in from local colleges such as nearby Pitt University and the young people say they are excited to vote for the first time. Harris wants the backdrop of a huge blast furnace behind her (it is all about imagery) to stress how she will bring back manufacturing jobs. As Billy Shakespeare said, "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players (actors)." Katy Perry is supposed to appear at the event so the young people will want to hear "Hot N Cold." Harris will be here shortly and then fly back to Philly for the last event of the evening.
Wow. Donnie begins speaking and behind him is a sea of pink signs that say "Women for Trump." This is very telling. It appears that the Trump team is scrambling in the eleventh hour for the female vote so their own data must be showing the election breaking towards Harris because of the women. Trump's macho man strategy is not looking as smart so they ditched the machismo and Donnie goes pink. Nikki Haley, that had tens of thousands of female votes in the republican primary elections even after she dropped out of the race, would have stumped for Donnie but he did not want to bring her aboard (she had dared to challenge King Trump so she is now blackballed from the retrumplican party). It is comical. Donnie's campaign flipped a switch going from macho to feminine in a heartbeat. Trump may have sensed something was up with the women vote because the rumor mill says he asked aids two days ago, "Why don't women like me?"
Tomorrow is the big day. Both candidates say they have done everything possible to win. As the popular sports metaphor says, "they left is all on the field." Humorously, the votes do not matter; the guy counting the votes matters. Nate Silver at 538 waters down his prediction still forecasting a Trump win but he calls it a "toss-up" at 51.5% to 48.1%. Editor Jon Ralston, that has a proven track record of successful predictions in past elections, is looking for Harris to edge out Trump by a hair.
It is funny to hear people say that if you do not vote, you do not have a right to complain. The morons got it backwards. As comedian George Carlin would joke, it is the voters that have no right to complain. The voting jackasses have installed all the corrupt politicians over the last decades that have driven America into the sewer. All of you voters have no right to complain because you are the reason for the country failing. You did it. You have the blood on your hands. The only people that have a right to complain are those that did not vote.
Note Added Tuesday, Election Day, 11/5/24: Election Day is here that determines the fate of King Donnie Trump and Queen Kamala Harris. Only one can be victorious and rule over the land from sea to shining sea. Everyone will be trying to read the tea leaves and get their hands on exit polls to see how the voting is progressing.
If there are lines at polls, you can guesstimate how the election is going by judging folks by stereotypes. Do not get your panties in a bunch if you are a woke person; it is all in good fun. First of all, count the men and women in line to gauge how that breakdown is going. If women are voting more than men by a margin of 12, 13, 14, and more, percentage points, Harris will be in clover. If the gap between men and women is small, single-digits, Trump is headed towards victory.
Then look at ethnicities, clothes and mannerisms. Everyone is judgmental these days, aren't they? If folks in line are people of color, wearing tie-dye shirts, or rainbow colors, or have purple hair, or tattoos and piercings, or wearing sandals, or sporting a man-bun, or carrying a yoga mat, or pushing three children in a stroller, or smelling like booze or pot, or an unshaven young thin man that looks like he needs a hamburger, or a group of giddy girls, or any woman wearing pink, they are likely Harris voters.
If folks in line are over 60 years old and white, or wearing a suit and tie, or donning a red hat, or sporting any clothing item that is made from an American flag, or playing "God Bless the USA" on their smartphone, or wearing gold tennis shoes, or camo, or a middle-aged white guy wearing short pants, white tube socks and white tennis shoes, or a muscle-bound young guy wearing a Joe Rogan or ultimate fighting tee shirt, or anyone in a wife-beater tee shirt, they are Trump voters.
Republicans expect a big showing at the polls due to strong registrations that will combine with the robust early voting numbers sending Trump back to the Whitehouse. Watch the lines at the polls. If the people waiting to vote look more like Trump voters, Donnie probably does have it in the bag. If the people in line look more like the Harris voters, it will be a long night for Donnie.
