In the Wizard of Oz, Dorothy nervously sings, “Lions and tigersand bears, oh my.” For the never-ending once in a century pandemic, NIH’s Fauci
and CDC’s Walensky are probably singing, “BA2, XD and XE, oh my.” The new
variants are popping up faster than the yellow and white daffodils outside this
mountain window.
The WHO variant webpage considers the BA2 (BA.2) Omicron
Subvariant a lineage of the initial B11529 Botswana/South Africa Variant
(omicron) so a different Greek letter name I s not provided. The initial B11529
is now also called the BA1 Omicron Variant.
The XD variant was discovered in France in January and is
called deltacron, a combination of the B1617 India Variant (delta) and the
B11529 Botswana/South Africa Variant (omicron). The XE variant receives
attention over the last couple days but it was also discovered in January in
the UK. XE is a recombinant variant combining BA1 and BA2 and has not left
British soil.
The WHO considers the XD variant a VUM (variant under
monitoring) but not the XE variant as yet. BA2 is under the Omicron Variant
banner at the worst level a VOC (variant of concern). Perhaps the WHO considers
XE to still be within the BA1 and BA2 lineage like BA2 by itself so it is
covered by the omicron Greek letter as well? What do you think Doctor Watson? The
Greek letter names are a WHO misstep only creating another level of confusion.
Perhaps that was the intent?
The WHO went woke and created the Greek letter garbage
because they do not want to stigmatize nations where the viruses begin such as
South Africa, Botswana and India. The world is officially a society of adult
babies. Shut up and grow up. Variants can start anywhere as explained above
including France (XD), UK (alpha; XE) and USA. The US has had several variants
pop up in New York, California, Texas and elsewhere.
Refer to viruses by their points of origin. Spanish Flu
(although the origination is disputed), German Measles (rubella), Ebola (Ebola
River), China Virus, Wuhan Flu, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, etc…. The Coronavirus
Chronology has never wavered. Common folks get along and do not think in the
sick woke way like the elite greedy control freaks that decide the direction of
society; hence, social unrest and conflict will increase going forward.
China also jumps into the variant game announcing Sunday
that it has discovered a new virus mutation. The characteristics of the
mutation are different than the other virus strains circulating across mainland
China but it is not yet given a name or nickname. How about China Virus II? The
CCP can never be trusted so who knows what potential games they are playing.
What is the CCP and the military’s bioweapons doctors cooking up at the Wuhan
Laboratories now?
The US daily new cases chart is shown above a pretty
springtime sight. The omicron (B11529/BA1) wave 6 is in the bag. The wait
continues to see if the BA2 Omicron Subvariant raises its ugly head creating
wave 7, or not. The US reports 19,142 daily new cases for yesterday, Monday,
4/4/22, below the 7-day MA at 26K cases per day favoring a sideways to sideways
down bias. The 3-day MA drops to 18K cases per day a lower low a great
development.
Going back a few days, the 3-day MA did not make a lower low
hinting that the actual conception of US wave 7 has begun. Not so fast. The
3-day MA trend line averages the last 3 days of daily cases on an ongoing
basis. The trend line remains bumpy as compared to the 7-day MA or
higher-numbered moving averages since the higher the number the smoother the
trend line (but it does not tell you as much forecasting-wise).
Thus, a key tool for predicting virus trends is the 3-day MA
where printing higher highs and higher lows for the bumps in the moving average
is bad while printing lower lows and lower highs is great since it verifies a
downward trend in cases. The other day the 3-day MA did not print a lower low
when it came down for its valley; bad. It prints the higher low so the
downtrend may be stalling.
Next, watch to see if the 3-day MA then prints a higher high
which means the wave is taking off higher and the news will only get worse from
there. Instead, the 3-day MA comes up to make its latest high a couple days ago
tagging 33K cases per day LESS than the prior 3-day MA top at 36K cases about a
week ago; fantastic news. The lack of printing a higher high means the trend of
the daily cases remains sideways and the BA2 Omicron Subvariant is not yet an
issue in the States.
The 3-day MA drama is a mathematical and technical symphony
in progress, however, so the next point to watch is when the moving average
comes down for its valley again and this occurs now at 18K cases per day the
lowest since last summer and obviously a lower low than both the prior lows.
This states that the US daily new cases remain in a sideways to sideways lower
pattern; great news. BA2 may be growling and trying to make a fuss, but for
now, it is all bark and no bite.
The three states showing small bumps in daily cases are New
York, New Jersey and Massachusetts. Thus, they serve as the poster children for
the potential BA2 wave 7. New York is the leading poster boy and this likely
occurs because infected Europeans are flying into LaGuardia Airport, JFK
International Airport and others on the East Coast.
New York’s daily new cases chart is shown above. The Empire
State reports 3.4K daily new cases yesterday with cases above 3K per day for
one week running. The 7-day MA of daily cases is up to 3.6K cases per day
ramping higher; not good. The 3-day MA is printing higher highs and higher lows
verifying the ongoing uptrend in cases; not good. New York is the BA2 Omicron
Subvariant poster boy.
New York reports 4.8K daily new cases for Thursday, 3/31/22.
This Thursday’s, 4/7/22, cases are critical for a direct week to week
comparison of the peak number. If above 4.8K cases, New York and the US are
going to get smacked with the BA2 wave. If, however, New York’s cases come in
under 4.8K cases on Thursday, that will be happy time. The trend in cases would
be expected to roll over lower painting a much brighter picture ahead
forecasting that BA2 will likely not wreak havoc in America.
You probably thought one data point could never make that
much difference, right? When it is the poster boy (NY) for the potential BA2
wave, and the data and moving averages are at their inflection points, and the
cases are about to test the prior high, yes, a lot can ride on one single data
point. Bring the popcorn for New York’s Thursday cases.
The hope is that the new wave will roll over as fast as it
develops but if the US follows the same pattern as Europe and elsewhere, the
BA2 wave in daily cases will be a substantive bump but well below the prior BA1
omicron wave. The two waves, BA1 and BA2 display the big sister/little sister
pattern highlighted in the prior article so it will be interesting to see if BA2
plays out that way in the States.
America has the advantage of a successful vaccinationcampaign with nearly 80% of the country having at least one shot. 25% of Americans
are documented to have had COVID-19 and this number may actually be double.
Combining the vaccine and natural immunity protections wraps the United States
in a cozy herd immunity blanket.
Hopefully, it does not turn into a wet blanket over the next
couple weeks. The point is that the US is likely the best country prepared to
battle BA2 so perhaps the new wave will be a ripple rather than a tsunami. In
12 days, will the Easter Bunny deliver a feast of Joy, as Santana and Stapletonplay and sing, or lay a brown egg in your basket?
The Massachusetts daily new cases chart is shown above.
Similar to New York, the cases are on the rise with the 7-day MA up to 1.2K
cases per day. The jury remains out, however, since the 2 big days were last
Thursday and Friday, 3/31/22 and 4/1/22, at 1.6K cases per day for both days.
The Massachusetts daily cases at the end of this week are
critical. If the cases are above 1.6K running higher, heaven forbid above 2.0K
and more, Katy bar the door, there is big trouble coming. On the positive side,
if the daily new cases are at 1.6K or lower on Thursday and Friday, 4/7/22 and
4/8/22, that would be fantastic news also signaling that BA2 will likely not be
a big deal in the States.
New Jersey’s daily cases are maintaining a sideways posture so
far. Thus, if you want a heads-up on how BA2 will hit the US, watch New York
and Massachusetts daily new cases especially on Thursday and Friday. That is
likely when the US fate, at the hands of the BA2 Omicron Subvariant, will be
determined.
The US active cases chart is shown above. The bell curve
verifies that the pandemic is being defeated and the healthcare workers can
finally catch a break. Folks that have put off medical treatment for 2 years
are now calling doctors, making appointments and refocusing on their sciatica.
US active cases are about to drop below 15 million off the
near 28 million active cases peak 2 months ago. That is one-half the covid
patients in only 8 weeks. Let’s keep that action going. Now that spring is
here, some folks will start feeling better and shake off their covid blues,
exchanging sickness for a frisbee, golf club or soccer ball (European
football).
The US deaths chart is shown above. Only 180 Americans die
from China Virus yesterday, but 15 dozen families are grieving today. It is far
better than the peak of the omicron wave up at 3.6K dead bodies per day. The
7-day MA for US deaths drops to 475 deaths per day; great news but that is still
too high a rate. The US is back to the same death rate as last July. No wonder people are feeling better about the
pandemic as the spring season begins.
The world’s daily new cases chart is shown above. The
world’s daily new cases drop to 1.26 million per day not seen since late
December. Mother Earth is looking bueno. Wave 6 is the omicron wave but the
wave 7 bump is a combination of the BA1 Omicron Variant smacking Asia and BA2
Omicron Subvariant slapping Europe. Any way you add it up, it is good news
seeing the world’s daily cases chart fall faster than a prom dress.
The world’s daily new deaths chart is shown above. The
world’s daily deaths drop to 3.5K souls per day and tomorrow will sport a 3.4K
handle. If you asked the average person on the street how many folks are dying
from covid around the world each day, most would probably say a million people
per day, their mush minds programmed by negative media. Only 3,500 humans are
dying per day from COVID-19 on the entire Earth comprised of 7,670,000,000
bodies.
Note that the world’s wave 7 is not interrupting the
downward trend of daily deaths; great news. Deaths lag cases so there may be a
little sideways stutter-step coming up, but the direction lower is solid.
Over time, the virus needs to find more hosts but since many
people are vaccinated or have natural immunity, the virus mutates into a more
contagious form to spread easier. The increased contagiousness occurs but at
the expense of lethality; a good thing. It is better to see more people become
sick with a virus that does not kill rather than a deadly virus that spreads in
smaller pockets, killing anyone it infects, such as Ebola.
Things look good for the world and the US right now. A few
charts showing the BA2 problems in Europe and the outbreaks in Asia are in
order to round out the COVID-19 picture in the world.
In Asia, China is a mess with the entire city of Shanghai in
lockdown to one extent or another. Residents are fed-up with living in their
home jail cells. Food and medical supplies are getting scarcer. Factory workers
are forced to live at the plant keeping production lines running; slavery.
Chinese folks are sick of daily coronavirus testing but that only gets worse
now with a massive testing program underway.
The CPC wants to identify the infected people in the covid
sea of nearly 30 million in the greater Shanghai region to maintain the
zero-covid narrative. Dirtbag Dictator Xi has been bragging for the last couple
years about his zero-covid strategy and how communism is the better approach to
government. The murderer cannot tout this line now with the rampant outbreaks
across China. Xi is trying to salvage his reputation. Under authoritarian rule,
you can never look weak, even for an instant.
Thousands of medical workers are flown in to Shanghai to
help with the humongous task of testing more than 2 dozen million people in a
few days’ time. China (the dirtbag CCP) may be kidding itself. It is like
saying that you killed the last mouse in the basement or roach in the kitchen.
There’s always one more mouse or one more roach. La Cucaracha.
China’s Sinopharm and Sinovac vaccines are not providing the
best protection. Four mRNA vaccines are now in clinical trials, two further
along than the two just approved for studies, but that does not help in the
middle of a nationwide breakout. In addition, most Chinese have not contracted
China Virus since the country was locked down when the virus began and has been
under the strict zero-covid rules ever since.
Many Chinese folks say they are happy that the virus did not
impact their country and give credit to the zero-covid strategy but that
support is fading faster than Keystone’s Grateful Dead tie-dye tee shirt.
Chinese people are pushing back, as much as they can on social media considering
they live under commie rule, against the zero-covid narrative saying it is time
for a new strategy going forward. Obviously, they see what is occurring in
real-time in their streets and neighborhoods.
China is reporting asymptomatic cases separately and
treating them as if they do not exist. Church Lady asks, “Isn’t that special?”
China’s case numbers are likely from 5 to 10 times higher, or more, than what is
reported to the world. Hong Kong, now controlled by communist China, is on the
mend. Hong Kong deaths, however, remain above 130 souls per day. The CCP
purposely did not proactively vaccinate the elderly in China since the folks
dying off are for the greater good of the communist state. That is the way it
works in the real world. The elderly are a burden on a communist society.
Thailand’s daily new cases chart is shown above. Cases are running at 27K cases per day or
higher for the last week. Record levels. The 7-day MA for daily new cases is up
to 26K cases climbing higher. Thailand is having difficulty bringing the wave
under control.
Perhaps it is in part due to the comingling in the party
streets all night long? Single wealthy white-haired American men are disappointed
having to delay their erotic trips to Bangkok. The virus is spreading faster in
Thailand than the STD’s.
Thailand’s active cases are at record levels. Thailand
deaths ramp higher towards 100 dead bodies per day not seen in over a half
year. Thailand and China are two of the world’s worst hotspots.
Japan’s daily new cases (and active cases) take an abrupt
move higher in recent days; not good. Japan’s daily cases jump over 46K cases
per day heading higher. The island nation was in good shape with both the daily
and active cases charts dropping like rocks but not anymore. What variant is
now perhaps loose in Japan? The WHO and others should call their contacts and
find out what the Japanese labs are seeing.
Australia’s daily new cases chart is shown above. The BA2
Omicron Subvariant little sister wave continues higher albeit at a reduced
rate. Cases move higher at a pace of 57 cases per day. With a little bit of
luck, the Aussies may see the cases peeking-out this week and the chart rolling
over to the downside. Australia hospitals will remain busy for another 2 or 3
weeks so do not put another shrimp on the barbie just yet.
Hopping across the ocean to Europe, France’s daily new cases
chart is shown above. The 7-day MA for daily new cases for France is at 138K
cases per day trying to level-off but still maintains an upward bias. France and Germany have a difficult time
tamping down their outbreaks.
Does that mean the XD variant, discovered in France a couple
months ago, is wreaking mischief, or is it simply a matter of telling the
Germans to put their beer steins down, and the French to set their wine glasses
on the table and drop their baguette, and for everyone to go home for a few
days to slow the spread?
France reports over 217K daily new cases last Tuesday,
3/29/22. Today’s cases are key. If below 217K, France is turning the corner and
conditions will improve going forward. If today’s cases are over 217K, however,
France remains in trouble that will keep healthcare workers busy into May.
Italy is turning the corner so the expectation would be for France to follow
Italy’s lead and roll the BA2 little sister wave over to the downside.
Israel’s daily new cases chart is shown above. Israel’s
7-day MA for daily cases is rolling over a welcome sight. Israeli’s are stuck
like pincushions with vaccines and yet the BA1/BA2 Big Sister/Little Sister
wave plays out like everyone else’s.
Returning to North America, Canada’s daily new cases chart
is shown above. Daily cases are rising at a pace of 8.4K cases per day.
Canada’s BA2 Omicron Subvariant wave is underway. The US northern states must
remain vigilant preventing King Trudeau’s filth from infecting America,
humorously, in more ways than one. Instead of spending time destroying Canadian
truckers lives that disagreed with his China Virus edicts, as well as spending
time at his blackface parties, tyrannical King Trudeau should have focused on
the pandemic that now bites his elitist butt again.
The USA has the greatest number of total coronavirus cases
in the world at 82 million. India is next with 43 million total virus cases. Brazil,
France, Germany, UK, Russia, Turkey, Italy, South Korea, Spain, Vietnam, Argentina,
Netherlands and Iran round out the top 15 worst nations. Germany leapfrogs UK
and Vietnam leapfrogs Argentina.
COVID-19 has infected 493 million people worldwide. At 1.2
million new infections per day, the world will cross the dreaded 500 milliontotal global cases milestone within a week’s time. Bummer. In only 2 year’s
time, a spec on a Wuhan Lab Petri dish, so small that it cannot be seen by the
naked eye, infects 500 million humans in every corner of the Earth. Remarkable.
6.2 million people
are dead from the China Flu a grim statistic. 428 million global citizens have
recovered from China Flu. 87% (428/493) of the people that become infected with
COVID-19 recover in a reasonable time frame. This percentage had been at 90% to
92% for many months, and then dropped to 80% now rebounding to 83%-87% over the
last 2 months. The recovery rate is rebounding.
Worldwide, 1.3% (6.2/493) of the people that are infected
with covid die; 1 in 80. This number sat at 2.1%-2.2% for many months but
trends lower for the last 4 months to 1.3%. The vaccinations and natural
immunities are helping to lower the world’s death rate albeit by small increments.
6.4% (493/7670) of the world’s population of 7.67 billion
people have been infected with coronavirus; 1 in every 15 people on earth. This
was 1 in every 24 people 3 months ago and 1 in 18 about a month ago. This
behavior (fast rate lower) verifies the contagiousness of the Omicron variant.
0.08% of the world’s population (6.2/7670) died from the
pandemic; 1 in every 1,237 people on earth died from China Virus.
In the United States, 82 million people are infected with covid.
1.009 million Americans are dead. 66 million Americans have recovered from coronavirus.
This equates to 80% (66/82) of US citizens recovering after becoming infected
with COVID-19. The recovery percentage has been between 76% and 84% for much of
last year but over the last 5 months drops to the 61% to 69% range and in a
heartbeat over the last 2 weeks jumps back to 80%.
After several months, the recovery percentages in the US and
abroad are improving. People are learning to beat covid with vaccines,
treatments and therapies. Also, COVID-19 killed off the frail, weak, old and
obese, so that weeds out a lot of potential people that will get sick going
forward improving the percentages.
In the US, 1.2% (1/82) of the people infected with COVID-19
die. This number was sticky at 1.6% to 1.8% for many months but has sagged to
1.2% over the last 5 months. 1 in every 82 US citizens that are infected with coronavirus
die. 0.3% (1/330) of Americans have died from COVID-19 which is 1 in every 330 Americans
over the last 2 years.
25% (82/330) of the American population of 330 million
people have been infected with covid; 1 in every 4 Americans. The minority
communities are impacted disproportionately. The 25% that now have natural
immunities solidly contribute towards herd immunity. The number of people with natural
immunity are likely far higher than reported probably double the 25%. Many
Americans had covid at home and never saw a doctor or reported the illness, and
they have some level of natural antibody protection.
The United States has 17% (82/493) of the COVID-19 cases in
the world. 1 in 6 people that become infected with covid on planet earth are
Americans. The US vaccination program made an impact month’s ago, but not so
much in recent weeks and months. This percentage was 22% about one year ago so
it is flatlining for a long time.
The US accounts for 16% (1/6.2) of the China Flu deaths in
the world. 1 in 6 people that die from COVID-19 around the world are Americans.
9 months ago, it was 1 in 5. The numbers are stalled at the same level for the
last few months.
The Keystone Speculator Coronavirus Infection Rate Model,
the Keystone Model for short, is a simple model that predicts when the active
cases chart will flatten-out and roll-over lower. The active cases chart is the
‘flatten the curve’ chart that represents the maximum stress and strain on the
medical system and healthcare workers. Once the active cases chart rolls over
forming the bell shape, the virus is being defeated and healthcare workers can
breathe easier.
The Keystone Model uses the peak in the daily new cases to
forecast the peak and flattening of the active cases curve. The ‘flattening of
the curve’ only pertains to the active cases chart. For communist nations where
the populations must do what they are told or they receive a bullet in their
heads (China), and for smaller authoritarian nations (Eastern European
countries, Africa and Middle East nations), and many Asian nations where
citizens follow government rules without questioning authority (South Korea,
Japan, Singapore, Australia), the active cases curve will peak, on average, 11
days after the peak in daily new cases.
For the Western countries, such as the US and European
nations, the so-called free societies, the active cases curve will peak, on
average, 28 days after the peak in new cases. It takes about 2 weeks longer for
a free society to tamp down a virus wave than a communist or authoritarian
state because lockdowns are not strictly followed or enforced.
All projections below for countries and the US states
continue to use the 11 and 28-day periods for forecasting for consistency. When
the peak in daily new cases occurs, if a subsequent day is within 8% of that
peak top, it is identified as the peak in daily new cases day in reference to
the Keystone Model.
The peak in the daily new cases is easily seen on the bar
charts provided by Worldometer, the CDC and Johns-Hopkins. The daily new cases
bar charts are shown on television news channels with a 7-day moving average
(MA) line which is a smoothing mechanism that identifies the trend.
An update for The Keystone Model is provided since another
10-day period passes and more data and information become available to push the
China Virus story forward. The Coronavirus Chronology identifies the real-time
hotspots occurring around the world and within the United States. The
chronology serves as a historical document that will be referenced for decades
to come by those that want to experience the entire pandemic as it unfolds in real-time.
With the pandemic hopefully subsiding and entering an
endemic phase, the Coronavirus Chronology articles may end soon. The BA2 bug is
another fly in the covid ointment. If the country and US state lists below
dwindle down to only a handful of names, that will likely be time to end the

superior for forecasting since it is updated more reliably in real-time.
The countries with rising active cases charts are
highlighted below with the worst nations at the bottom. The peaks in daily new
cases are shown and the projected peaks for active cases are based on the
Keystone Model. The peak and flattening of the active cases curves are
extremely important since it represents the maximum stress on healthcare
workers and the medical systems.
It will take longer for the active cases charts to roll over
to form the bell shape for the troubled nations at the bottom of the list since
they are still experiencing highs and peaks in their daily new cases.
Hospitalizations lag the daily cases by a week or two and deaths lag
hospitalizations by a week or two.

South Korea, Slovenia and Cuba are taken off the list as their active cases curves begin dropping. France and Italy are placed back on the bad list since they remain challenged by the BA2 wave.
In Asia, Thailand, China and Taiwan are in a pickle. In
Europe, France, Italy, Malta, Greece and Cyprus are trying to gain control of the
virus. Ditto Finland, Germany and Ireland. Canada brings sickness to North
America. Once again, Trudeau soils the continent’s soil.
All things considered; Mother Earth looks sweet. The picture
was darker in the last article with many nations under watch for breakouts but
the infections fell away like sand through fingers.
Even if BA2, or XD, or XE, or the new Chinese variants wreak
havoc, it should come with less severe illness and less deaths. Thailand, Laos,
Taiwan and China have the toughest paths ahead over the coming days.
Returning to America, the next list shows the 15 US states that
have stubborn active cases charts that will not roll over. The peak in daily
new cases and projections for the peaks in active cases are provided as per the
Keystone Model. The flattening and roll over of the active cases curve forming
the bell shape indicates the virus is being defeated and the caseload on
healthcare workers will quickly improve.

the list above unless their active cases curve is moving higher which is a signal
for healthcare workers that trouble may be coming. All is fine if active cases
keep falling away.
New York is the
poster boy for potential BA2 Omicron Subvariant trouble as its daily cases move
higher. NY is not on the bad list above as yet since its active cases curve
continues lower. Hopefully, New York’s cases drop in the days ahead signaling
that BA2 should not be a big deal. The week ahead will tell a lot about the BA2
bug in the US.
America is in great
shape but waiting for the proverbial BA2 shoe to drop. If BA2 was not a
concern, folks would be frolicking through the tulips, with Tiny Tim, in their
birthday suits, celebrating the end of the pandemic. Alas, BA2 is trying to
flex its muscles, coming alive as the pandemic is in its last throes, like the
monster in a low-budget class B horror flick. In the days ahead, we will see
what BA2’s got. Does the subvariant have bite to back up its bark or is it
simply gasping its last breath?
The variant talk
over the last couple days is gaining attention in media circles but so far BA2,
XD and XE appear manageable without any problems. XE has not even left the UK
as yet. If XD is the culprit causing lingering infections in Germany, France
and Italy, it is not spreading rapidly elsewhere. Setting Thailand, Laos,
Taiwan and China aside, the worst hotspots, the rest of the world is looking like
Mr Blue Sky.
The US Congress
agrees on a $10 billion spending bill for the COVID-19 pandemic. The funds
cover therapeutics, vaccines and testing. The Whitehouse blamed the lack of
funding for canceling orders of monoclonal antibody treatments but those orders
should be immediately reapproved. The US death rate remains too high even at
475 deaths per day.
The unvaccinated
folks need the Sotrovimab and Bebtelovimab mAb treatments and Pfizer Paxlovid
anti-viral oral pills. The people that want to be under the vaccination
umbrella are following those protocols but it is time to help the people that
choose not to get vaccinated including folks that could not take the shots for
a myriad of reasons none of which are anyone’s business except the person and
their doctor.
Losing nearly 500
Americans per day after more than 2 years of the pandemic is unacceptable. America
must become less judgmental and relearn compassion and empathy, otherwise all
is lost. Unvaccinated folks need quicker and easier access to Paxlovid pills
and mAb treatments, not a finger-wagging lecture.
Note Added Wednesday Morning, 4/6/22, at 5:00 AM EST: Conditions in China worsen with over 20K cases reported across the country and 17K in Shanghai alone. Cases in Shanghai have doubled over the last 4 days. The communist authorities say the mass testing is picking up more infections. A convention center is pressed into service as a concentration camp, er isolation facility, for 40K infected Chinese folks. South Africa ends its 2-year state of emergency due to the pandemic. An Israeli study shows that the fourth vaccine dose provides protection against infection and severe illness, however, the protection from infection is short-lived.
Note Added Wednesday Morning, 4/6/22, at 5:30 AM EST: Worldwide deaths drop to 3.4K deaths per day. France reports 203K daily new cases the second highest for the BA2 wave but there is a silver lining. Exactly one week prior, the peak for BA2 occurred at 217K cases. Since the cases are less, France's daily cases wave will likely peek in the coming days. Canada reports 11.5K cases yesterday the second highest for the current BA2 wave with the 7-day MA at 8.7K cases per day heading higher. People traveling from Hong Kong to Canada likely brought along some virus. The world is making progress on the pandemic but the gains are incremental each day.
Note Added Wednesday Morning, 4/6/22, at 6:00 AM EST: The US reports 25.5K daily new cases yesterday with the 7-day MA at 26.6K cases per day. The US COVID-19 death rate is down to 430 deaths per day. New York State reports 3.2K cases yesterday so the 3 handle of new infections remains in play for over one week. The 7-day MA for New York's daily cases is up to 3.6K cases per day. If the individual days come in under 3.6K cases, it will pull the 7-day MA lower, but any numbers above 3.6K cases per day will create problems. This week's daily cases in New York will tell a lot about how BA2 will impact the United States. New Jersey reports 1.6K cases yesterday pulling the 7-day MA trend line higher to over 1.3K cases per day. Massachusetts reports 1.2K cases yesterday with the 7-day MA up to 1.3K cases per day and rising. Keep your fingers crossed. BA2 may be a pig in a poke. CDC Director Walensky says the protections provided by vaccinations and prior infections may stand up against the potential BA2 Omicron Subvariant wave. The BA2 bug accounts for 72% of the infections in the US up from only 1% about 9 weeks ago. BA2 is in every state and accounts for over 80% of the infections in New York, New Jersey, New England, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. In bombshell news, since the statistic has not been bandied about before by the CDC, is that 95% of the US population 16 years and older have developed antibodies against COVID-19, either through vaccination or prior infection, based on blood samples. Wow. This is remarkable and great news for America. The CDC cautions that having antibodies does not mean that you cannot get infected. President Biden instructs HHS to conduct a research study into the long-covid.
Note Added Wednesday Afternoon, 4/6/22: NDTV reports that a 50-year old woman in Mumbai, India, tests positive for the XE variant which is now no longer only on UK soil. She had returned from South Africa. Scientists are continuing genomic testing to confirm the variant. The infected woman is resting with only mild symptoms. XE is the recombinant variant that is a mutation of BA1 Omicron Variant and BA2 Omicron Subvariant. The Chinese mutation identified on Sunday is given the name BA.1.1 so the chronology's simplification will be BA11. A short time after meeting with FBI Director Wray and other Whitehouse officials, Attorney General Garland tests positive for COVID-19. Garland says he was at the white-tie Gridiron dinner on the weekend, as opposed to a keg party with red Solo cups, with a couple hundred people. Multiple dinner party attendees are now testing positive for China Virus. Other politicians test positive. The Gridiron dinner is a BA2 superspreader event. The Whitehouse and Capitol Hill are covid-infected nests. A 2-month bird flu outbreak in the United States takes a turn for the worst now appearing in 24 states. 23 million chickens have been culled over the last 8 weeks driving supermarket prices nearly +30% higher in less than a year. Keystone just picked up a half dozen chicken legs and they cost an arm and a leg. The bird flu is not a risk to humans, only to their wallets.
Note Added Thursday Morning, 4/7/22, at 5:00 AM EST: European Central Bank (ECB) President Lagarde tests positive for COVID-19. Symptoms are mild. The ECB controls monetary policy for financial markets across the European continent. The world's daily new cases drop to 1.16 million cases per day with sub 1 million numbers not far away. France reports 162K daily new cases yesterday an elevated number for the current BA2 wave but below the prior day's 203K cases that are below the peak in cases at 217K the week before. The 7-day MA for daily new cases for France begins rolling over slightly to 135K cases per day. France is likely topping-out with daily cases but healthcare workers will remain busy during the month as the wave washes through. France is moving in the right direction and it will not be long before folks are enjoying wine, baguette and cigarettes at the local café again. Italy's daily cases are also topping and actually leading France by a couple days. Germany reports 204K cases which remains a stubbornly high number but it is better than 300K cases per day at the peak of the current wave 2 weeks ago the most cases ever. As Europe's cases retreat, the world's daily cases numbers retreat. 254 Germans are dying per day from China Flu and the rate continues higher. Greece and Cyprus are making headway on their outbreaks reporting less cases in recent days. The UK remains on the mend with both the daily and active cases charts dropping but cases remain elevated in England. 607 UK citizens die over the last 2 days a pop higher in deaths. Boom. Canada reports 13,369 daily new cases yesterday the most for the current BA2 wave. The 7-day MA of Canada's daily new cases is running over 9K cases per day moving higher. The US northern border states must remain vigilant and try and prevent tyrannical King Trudeau's covid filth from moving south.
Note Added Thursday Morning, 4/7/22, at 5:30 AM EST: Australia's daily new cases are topping and flattening-out at 56K cases per day. Generally, conditions are improving for all the countries mentioned so far except Canada. Japan's daily cases climb higher at 47K cases per day with the jury out on whether a new wave is beginning or if the cases are just a burp in the data and will resolve lower. Malaysia and Singapore relax their border restrictions over the last week and so far daily cases remain in check. Good on them. Thailand and Taiwan remain challenged with elevated cases. US House Majority Leader Pelosi may travel to Taiwan this weekend which would anger the CCP. Red China considers Taiwan as part of their communist country but the Taiwanese want nothing to do with dirtbag Dictator Xi and his politburo of murderers. Taiwan is a huge island nation and far more difficult to takeover than little Hong Kong where the CCP henchmen easily walked into the city smacking heads and turning the people into full-blown communists. Hong Kong is gone. China's outbreaks continue. Shanghai struggles with the city-wide lockdown continuing. The lockdowns in China are now impacting global trade. Americans will have to wait a few extra days, and pay a little more, for their smartphones, security cameras, beauty products and slippers.

The US reports 31K daily new cases yesterday not good because it is above the 7-day MA at 28K case per day. America remains in a sideways malaise with daily cases wondering if the BA2 shoe will drop. US active COVID-19 cases drop to 14.8 million heading lower (the bell curve). 1,155 Americans die from coronavirus over the last 2 days (578 deaths per day). The 7-day MA for US deaths is down to 470 deaths per day continuing lower. How's the New York State BA2 poster boy doing? Oh no. New York reports 4.6K daily new cases yesterday a punch to the gut. The 7-day MA of New York cases is up to 3.8K cases per day. A BA2 bump is definitely established and New York is a hair away from having to call a new wave. Ditto New Jersey reporting 1.9K daily new cases and the 7-day MA is up to 1.4K cases per day moving higher. Massachusetts reports 1.5K cases yesterday teasing the high levels for the BA2 bump with the 7-day MA up to 1.3K cases per day. New Hampshire doe not show a rise in cases as yet. Boom. Rhode Island is smacked with 368 cases a noticeable spike. Cases sneak higher in Connecticut. Oh no. Illinois reports a 2.2K pop in cases yesterday. It is never good to see Illinois getting into trouble. Europeans and Asians are flying into Chicago bringing virus. We are all humans spreading the virus to one another and then back again. The pandemic is not over until it is over everywhere. Indiana, Wisconsin and Missouri do not show any bump in daily cases as yet which tells you that the virus is entering Illinois through the Chicago airports such as O'Hare. Florida reports 2.2K cases yesterday a pop higher and the 7-day MA climbs to 1.6K cases per day. BA2 is making covid waves on the East Coast and in major travel cities such as Chicago.
Note Added Thursday Morning, 4/7/22, at 11:00 AM EST: House Speaker Pelosi tests positive for COVID-19. Yesterday, she was with President Biden and video shows the two hugging and kissing after a bill signing. Biden should be in isolation but the Whitehouse spokesperson Psaki, nicknamed Peppermint Patty, says the CDC guidelines determine that the two did not have close contact for a long enough period of time. It is laughable. Do you believe the CDC or your lying eyes? No wonder why million of Americans have stopped listening to the *ssholes in charge of the pandemic. Psaki proclaims that since the contact between Pelosi and Biden was less than 15 minutes, he is good to go. Figure that one out. Hug, kiss and slobber over someone that tests positive for China Virus but you can go on about your day as if nothing happened. America is land of the have's and have-not's with one set of rules for each. America's wealthy elite and noble class do not follow the same rules they force upon the common peons. She does not follow her own covid edicts because she likely thinks of herself as royalty and the peon rules do not apply to big shots. 30 million Americans screwed the other 300 million over the last 5 decades. It's payback time. The Gridiron dinner in Washington, DC, is generating lots of covid positives. As previously mentioned, Attorney General Garland tests positive for covid so does California Representative Adam Schiff, Texas Representative Joaquin Castro, Florida Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo and Maine Senator Susan Collins; all democrats except for Collins. Vice President Harris had covid recently, ditto the Second Gentlemen (her husband) Doug Emhoff, Hillary Clinton, Biden's sister Valerie Biden Owens, and Jen Psaki; democrats all. The Gridiron dinner was a superspreader when everyone thought these events were done and dusted. All attendees were multiple vaccinated; a lot of god it did them. No one cares about Sidney, the server that carried around the tray of hors d'oeruvres, or Latisha, the hostess with the big smile; they are home sick with covid after the Gridiron dinner. The Whitehouse Correspondents' Association (WHCA) dinner is 4/30/22. This is when the corrupt media lies in bed with the Whitehouse and other compromised Washington, DC, politicians, yucking it up for an evening while they shake hands on more crony backroom deals and political narratives. Long-legged lip gloss beauties are securing future media interviews with bigshots by offering a sampling of their delightful pleasures. The correspondents dinner is the Washington, DC, casting couch. Once-popular interviewer Casanova Charlie Rose, that resigned in scandal, set up many of his rare interviews, called a "good get" in the biz, with celebrities in seedy side discussions during the decadent and corrupt media's correspondents dinner. The rigged crony capitalism system is in its last throes. The corrupt media, corporate bigwigs and political filth will have their fun maskless party at the end of the month, dancing to the band's rendition of "Joy to the World (Jeremiah was a Bullfrog)," which will likely be another BA2 superspreader event. Note Added Thursday Afternoon, 4/7/22: In a CNN (democrat-run media) interview, Chris Wallace, that quit Fox News (republican-run media), interviews Lord Fauci. The publicity-seeking and controversial doctor is asked about the death count nearing 1 million Americans (US deaths are already over 1.011 million with the Worldometer data). Fauci proclaims that former President Trump's actions during the first year of the pandemic led to more deaths than necessary. When pressed for numbers, Fauci says he does not want to provide any since it will create "headlines." Fauci says, "I can't quantitate if for you about how many less deaths." He cites examples on how Trump undermined his own decisions such as lockdowns and masks implementing the plans but then publicly disagreeing with the guidelines. Fauci opines rhetorically, "If the government had been smarter right from the start, in March of 2020 in dealing with this less, and I would say over the course of the two years, both under President Trump and to some degree, under President Biden, less politics, more public health, could we have had a lot fewer deaths?" Note how Fauci blames the government, Trump, Biden and the hat check girl but never himself. He was the jackass providing the information and guidance that made all the bonehead decisions. Worldometer is at 1,011,100 American deaths from COVID-19. Johns-Hopkins is at 984,571 US deaths not making much headway higher despite 5 hundo Americans dying each day. Why not? The CDC is at 981,197 Americans deaths from covid their numbers frozen in place. Do you get the idea that the death numbers are being purposely held back from the 1 million tally? IHME is at 976K deaths and forecasts that deaths will not exceed 984K by 7/1/22. What are they smoking? Marijuana must be legal in their state. IHME says less than 8K Americans will die from covid over the next 84 days only an average of 95 deaths per day. They need to pack the bowl again and think about their numbers. If you place the conspiracy cap on your head, you would think that J-H, CDC and IHME are purposely keeping the death tally lower. Worldometer appears to be the honest merchant in the group with the deaths counting higher each day as the data dictates. Of course, the 1 million death headline is going to smack Biden and the Whitehouse hard politically. They cannot hide it before the midterm elections. America is corrupt on all levels.
Note Added Friday Morning, 4/8/22, at 6:00 AM EST: World infections are down to 1.1 million per day and deaths drop to 3.3K per day. France, Italy, Belgium and Germany continue slowly rolling over their daily new cases charts. At least the outbreaks are no longer getting worse. Spain is unimpacted by BA2; figure that out. Oh no. Canada reports 17K daily new cases the most in 10 weeks as the new BA2 wave goes parabolic. Australia continues wrestling with its daily cases that move sideways at 57K cases per day. Thailand remains in trouble with daily cases above 26K cases per day at record levels. Thailand, where tourism is the top industry of the economy, is offering incentives for travelers such as reduced tickets and fares. You can get China Flu and a STD in one stop. Japan reports 54.1K daily new cases the most in 3 weeks; not good. The WHO and others need to find out what is happening in Japan right now. Boom. Taiwan reports 531 infections yesterday challenging the record levels from May 2021. Taiwan is in trouble with daily new cases going parabolic. China reports over 20K cases for several consecutive days but the CCP's numbers are untrustworthy (case counts are far higher). About 150K Chinese are in isolation facilities. China is converting gyms, theaters, sports facilities, any large enclosed spaces, into isolation facilities with beds for hundreds of thousands of patients. People in isolation are complaining since lights are on 24/7 making sleep difficult. Some Chinese are not reporting a positive test result because they are immediately placed in isolation with no plans for their pets. CCP agents return to the home or apartment and kill the pets. The governments says the animals are undernourished and have to be put down but they are actually fearful that pets spread covid. Since Chinese folks are onto the CCP's game, they do not report a positive test for fear of losing Fido or Mister Whiskers, and this behavior further spreads the virus. The Chinese are losing confidence and patience with their commie government. In surprising displays of defiance, people chant from apartment buildings under lockdown, "We want to eat, we want to eat, we want to eat...." Of course, most windows are open in the building and people stand back so as not to be identified, but they are going for it. One group chants, "We want freedom, we want freedom,...." That is not going to make dirtbag Dictator Xi happy. He will probably throw that entire building into an isolation camp and begin interrogations. The CCP is trying to show they have control of the pandemic by firing people in key positions at hospitals or transportation terminals blaming them for the virus spreading. The Shanghai and other lockdowns are impacting global trade and will increase inflation. Too much money is chasing too few goods and now there are fewer goods. The global ocean shipping vessels are tied-up by about 10% by port stoppages. The back-ups will only get worse each day China's major cities are in lockdown. The higher infections are impacting truckers and ability to move goods from ports to people in lockdown. China is now experiencing the pain of the pandemic that the United States and other nations have already lived. Pandemics run their same course whether in a dirtbag communist system or corrupt crony capitalism system. Chinese folks are saying the handling of the pandemic is worse than the virus.
Note Added Friday Morning, 4/8/22, at 7:00 AM EST: The US reports 32.7K daily new cases yesterday and the 7-day MA continues sideways at 28K cases per day. The BA2 Omicron Subvariant is playing its cards close to the vest not willing to show its hand as yet. US active COVID-19 cases drop to 14.7 million. US deaths are at 473 dead bodies per day which is 3.3K deaths per week. Biden is falling short of providing proper supplies of monoclonal antibody treatments and Paxlovid pills. People are complaining that they test positive and ask about the mAb treatments but the doctors do not offer the treatment or say it is limited to older people or immunocompromised. Biden screwed-up at the end of last year and made big promises to right the covid ship but here we are in April with people complaining that it is too difficult to find treatments and therapies that are only effective if taken immediately. Sleepy Joey is wandering the Whitehouse halls eating pudding mumbling something about windmills. Boom. The gloves are off. New York's BA2 wave begins with cases jumping huge to 7.3K yesterday. The Jumbotron at Times Square just went blank. The 7-day MA for New York State daily new cases is up to 4.1K cases per day heading higher. It sucks. COVID-19 is the booger on the end of your finger. No matter how hard you flick it, the booger stays and sometimes sticks on the flicking finger. Just like China Virus sticking to your nasal passages and lungs. It will not go away. Cases ramp higher in New Jersey, Massachusetts, Illinois, etc... BA2 is here. The CDC says one-half the states show a rise in cases. Will the new covid spanking be hard smacks and red buttocks, or, a love tap of not much consequence? Now that cases are jumping, it will be at least a week or more to determine the behavior of the daily cases. Small little sister BA2 waves are expected for the states and US overall, like other countries, and since nearly 80% of Americans are vaccinated with at least one shot and one-half the country has likely had covid, the BA2 wave may be more of a ripple than a wave. Also, the CDC says 95% of Americans have some degree of antibody protection against COVID-19 either from vaccinations or prior illness. Clarity will be provided with the shape of the BA2 curve for daily cases over the next week. Cases are rising in major cities. Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco report rising cases, albeit small numbers, but California overall is not showing an impact from BA2 as yet. Boom. The Sunshine State just went dark. Note Added Friday Morning, 4/8/22, at 11:00 AM EST: Whitehouse spokesperson Psaki cites an unnamed new independent study (ran by Whitehouse cronies?) that says the vaccination program saved 2.3 million lives, prevented 17 million hospitalizations, stopped 66 million cases from occurring and saved $900 billion in healthcare costs. That sounds like something dreamt-up in a democrat think tank. How many lives would have been saved if monoclonal antibody treatments and other therapies would have been promoted properly stressing EARLY TREATMENT instead of ignoring and downplaying all options because it was the only way emergency vaccine approval could occur? Over 1 million Americans are dead from China Virus. The so-called study is saying over 3.3 million people would have died during the pandemic but only 1 million died due to the vaccination program. If the new BA2 infection wave was serious, cases would be shooting above 40K and 50K per day. Give it a few more days into next week. The 7-day MA for US cases drifts higher to 30K cases per day. 464 Americans continue dying from COVID-19 day after day. New York's daily new cases continue higher to 4.4K cases per day. BA11 in China and the XE variant in the UK are also mutations from the combination of BA1 and BA2. It is quickly devolving into messy nomenclature. 94% of the cases around the world are the BA2 Omicron Subvariant displacing the BA1 Omicron Variant. All the variants are sublineages of the original Botswana/South Africa B11529 Variant (omicron) now referred to as BA1. The WHO adds two new subvariants BA4 and BA5 to the expanding list (BA.4 and BA.5). There are about 50 of the BA4 cases appearing in Botswana, South Africa, Denmark, Scotland and England. The 7-day MA for New York's daily cases rises to 5.4K cases per day. Cases increase in New Jersey, Massachusetts, Illinois, Pennsylvania and other states but the bumps remain tiny. BA2 may be a pig in a poke for America. Florida cases are up to 1.9K cases per day. The US is hanging in there without BA2 causing any major headaches so far setting-up an enjoyable holiday weekend ahead. Will this Easter weekend's parties and family gettogethers spread the BA2 bug?
Note Added Wednesday Morning, 4/13/22, at 11:00 AM EST: President Biden and the CDC extend the mask mandate for public transportation, such as busses, trains and airplanes, and airport terminals, for 15 additional days. The mask mandate, that travelers are fed-up with, was extended for 30 days from mid-March to 4/18/22 and the additional days now take it through 5/3/22. If you are using public transportation visiting Grandma this weekend or the remainder of the month, take extra masks to cover your ugly face. Pretty stewardess Latisha told Keystone it is best for everyone concerned, especially the children, if he kept wearing his mask regardless of the mandate. Philadelphia reimposes its indoor mask mandate a couple days ago. The US plans to extend the COVID-19 Health Emergency Declaration, set to expire this week, for another 90 days. The declaration allows testing and vaccine programs to continue but the $10 billion larger funding package still has to pass Congress. Lawmakers are on recess through Easter. Delta Airlines rescinds the ignorant $200 per month fee imposed on unvaccinated folks during the pandemic to cover additional COVID-19 testing and insurance costs. Delta says the pandemic has moved on to a seasonal virus so the fee is lifted. The employees that were screwed by the man (Delta) will now find a way to screw Delta back. That is the way it works.
Note Added Wednesday Afternoon, 4/13/22: Pfizer adn BioNTech are seeking approval for a third mRNA vaccine shot for the 5 to 11 year old children. The drug makers say the third shot (booster) provides increased protection. It is as if this outcome is already planned. UK regulators approve Valneva's COVID-19 vaccine that uses traditional technology targeting the entire virus rather than only the spike protein. The Valneva vaccine, that requires 2 shots spaced 28 days apart, appears more effective than AstraZeneca's shots.
Note Added Thursday Morning, 4/14/22, at 6:00 AM EST: The world's daily new cases drop to 940K cases per day and deaths are down to 2.99K deaths per day a 2 handle; great news. It is interesting that Spain adn Portugal have not been impacted by the BA2 bug although Portugal reports over 11K daily new cases yesterday the most in 2 weeks. Japan's daily new cases continue higher now over 49K cases per day. Thailand, Taiwan and China remain a covid mess. Taiwan take a turn for the worse with daily cases popping to 932 cases a new record, going parabolic, and threatening the 1K level. Thailand's active cases are parabolic matching the prior record high so that means the hospitals and clinics are as busy as the worst times of the pandemic last May and June almost 1 year ago. Shanghai reports over 27K daily new cases another record high. China imposes mandatory COVID-19 testing on factories making and assembling Apple iPhones. Kneel before Master Xi. Dirtbag Dictator Xi proclaims that the 'zero-covid strategy will be pursued and persistence will lead to victory'. In other words, the jackass will declare that zero-covid is successful and the best strategy no matter what happens to the Chinese folks. China's media is obviously state-controlled touting the CCP line. Nonetheless, hungry people in Shanghai turn angry complaining daily about the lack of food, water and medical supplies and treatments. US Treasury Secretary Yellen has stern words for red China telling them (CCP) that it is a 'time for choosing' and they should not aid Russia with their war against Ukraine.

Americans are dying at a pace of 388 deaths per day hopefully sub 3 hundo is on the way. 400 deaths per day are far too many after over 2 years of the pandemic. It reflects Biden's poor handling of COVID-19 and Americans place the blame on the president's shoulders. Biden's job approval sinks to a new low of 33% which is record-breaking. Even only 75% of his own democrat tribe think he is doing a good job. Over 94% of republicans think Biden is doing a poor job and 75% of independents. The democrats are going to get slaughtered in the mid-term elections unless Biden pulls a rabbit out of the hat. People do not want Biden's high inflation, crime, immigration problems, pandemic mishandling and foreign affairs bungling and worse, he pays little attention to the mess while he is promoting wind mills and the sun. All Biden was hired to do was fix the pandemic and not touch anything else but the sleepy confused guy did the opposite. The republocrat and demopublican corruption is comical as crony capitalism runs its course. Americans went from the Trump frying pan into the Biden fire. The US reports 38K daily new cases yesterday and the 7-day MA moves higher to 32K cases per day; not good. The 3-day MA for US cases did not make a lower low, it is a higher low, and now the moving average comes up for a potential higher high which would be bad (showing that a confirmed uptrend has started). A few days, the 3-day MA hinted that US daily cases were about to break higher but it relaxed to a sideways profile; perhaps the buoyancy in cases will fade again? New York is the poster child for the potential BA2 Omicron Subvariant wave and it reports 6.6K cases yesterday and the 7-day MA rises to 5.7K cases per day; not good. New York's BA2 wave is underway. The active cases are rising so New York hospitals and clinics are seeing increased activity. New York hospitalizations bump higher from about 870 COVID-19 patients 2 weeks ago to about 970 as of a few days ago (the CDC data is always days behind and slow to update). Rats. Hospital admissions are key and New York's are rising especially in the older age groups. Admissions precede hospitalizations by 3 or 4 days so the hospitalizations are heading higher in New York. The poster boy is leading the US down the path that no one wants to walk. New Jersey reports 2.3K daily new cases the most in 2 months. Ditto Massachusetts reporting over 2.2K cases yesterday the most in 2 months. Ditto Vermont up to 310 cases the most in 2 months. Cases also rise in Maine and New Hampshire. Canada continues struggling with its BA2 outbreak wave with daily cases at 10K per day no doubt some infections are spreading south into the United States. New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and other states show that BA2 is letting its presence be known and it plans to increase infections in the US so now it is a matter of how much (how big of a wave).
Note Added Thursday Afternoon, 4/14/22: The FDA approves the InspectIR COVID-19 Breathalyzer test for detecting COVID-19 in breath samples. The COVIS-19 breathalyzer is the size of a suitcase and can be taken to hospitals, clinics, testing sites and other venues. The test takes less than 3 minutes and boasts a 99% success rate at identifying negative test samples and a 91% accuracy when reporting positive tests. Any positive breathalyzer test should be immediately followed-up with a PCR test. One InspectIR unit can analyze 160 samples per day and the company says it can manufacture 100 units per day. Singer Barry Manilow tests positive for COVID-19. Maybe he got infected at the Copacabana.
Note Added Friday Morning, 4/15/22, at 3:00 AM EST: Today is Good Friday for the Catholic faith a solemn holy day and Passover begins at sundown for those in the Jewish faith. The US stock market is closed until Monday. Lots of Americans will be celebrating Easter Sunday. Passover ends at sundown next Saturday, 4/23/22. The world's infection rate drops to 910K cases per day with an 8-handle on the way. Worldwide deaths drop to 3K deaths per day on the verge of a 2-handle. The world is looking good. Europe continues improving albeit slowly. Italy reports 65K daily cases yesterday compared to 71K a week earlier. Today through Monday will show if Pope Francis's mass at St Peter's on Palm Sunday creates more infections in Italy. The Easter mass crowd will likely be far larger. Canada reports over 19K daily new cases the most for the ongoing BA2 wave and not seen since January. Tyrannical baby King Trudeau handles the pandemic as incompetently as Trump and Biden. Canada's 7-day MA of daily new cases is running over 10K infections per day and some of the Canuck BA sickness migrates south into the United States. Mexico is reporting a rise in daily cases but the data is extremely choppy. Oh no. Japan reports 57K daily new cases the most since early March and a new wave is underway in the island nation. The XE variant is showing up in Japan and there are likely other variants at play as well. Singapore and Malaysia continue recovering and the relaxing of their border restrictions is not causing an increase in cases. Shanghai, China, reports over 23K daily new cases accounting for about 95% of the cases across China (do not believe it; the CCP lies; the numbers are worse). 44 Chinese cities remain in full or partial lockdown. What a mess. The lying CCP reports two China Virus deaths in Jilin province but none in Shanghai. Over 100 makeshift concentration camps, er isolation facilities, are in use with more on the way. Chinese folks see the debacle in Shanghai so they are hoarding food and other supplies in their cities preparing for the worst.

The CDC is not even at 985K deaths as yet. The IHME is at 984K American deaths. Do you think the three agencies are colluding to delay, or prevent, the death toll from crossing 1 million? Probably since their death counts have been stuck at 980K-984K for the last couple weeks despite over 400 Americans dying per day from COVID-19. Maybe the bigwigs figure the unvaccinated do not count for anything? The IHME forecasts 998K total American deaths by 8/1/22. Thus, the IHME expects 14K more deaths over the next 107 days or 131 deaths per day. Are you buying what these Three Stooges are selling or do you think they are holding back the death count so bungling Biden does not receive more criticism? The 3-day MA is over 40K cases per day printing a higher high which means the new BA2 little sister wave is starting in America. What a shame. Now it is only a matter of magnitude. Will the BA2 Omicron Subvariant daily new cases wave manifest as a small bump that does not tax hospitals, or a wave about one-half the size of the BA1 Omicron Variant big sister wave like Europe, or something equal or worse than the BA1 wave (not likely)? Rhode Island is smacked with 539 new cases yesterday the most in 9 weeks and its 7-day MA is up to 343 cases per day climbing higher like New York and New Jersey. Are you seeing the pattern? The East Coast is under attack from BA2. Oh no. Massachusetts cases pop to 3.3K cases yesterday the most in 10 weeks with the 7-day MA up to 1.9K cases per day. None of this news is good. Cases are rising in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Maryland, Florida and other states. North and South Carolina are okay so far. Northeast states receive infections from Canada and it is obvious that the outbreaks in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, etc.., on the upper East Coast, are exacerbated by travelers from Europe bringing BA2. Ditto Chicago with its busy international airports. Of course, the BA2 bug is already on American soil and accounts for over 82% of the cases currently. Get prepared. The BA2 Omicron Subvariant is coming to a town near you.
Note Added Friday Morning, 4/15/22, at 5:30 AM EST: The CDC Community Transmission map looks beautiful mostly in green representing low infection rates US-wide but does not account for the increase in cases and new BA2 wave beginning as explained above. Upper New York shows higher rates of infections so some of New York's troubles are infections coming from Canada. Perhaps little baby King Trudeau should handle the pandemic instead of destroying citizen's lives by seizing their bank accounts if they do not agree with his tyrannical edicts? New Jersey is shown completely green; wrong. The daily cases remain the best tool for forecasting new infection waves. The CDC map is updated through Thursday, if you believe it, so the northeast states and Illinois, Pennsylvania, and others, should be showing low infection rates right now (yellow) at a minimum. The CDC wastewater information is about as worthless as it gets for forecasting new waves. Watch the daily cases. Employ the KISS principle (Keep It Simple, Stupid).
Note Added Friday Morning, 4/15/22, at 6:00 AM EST: It is a new day so of course there are new variants. New York scientists are focused on the new outbreak and identify to new variants that are related to the BA2 Omicron Subvariant. Are they sub-subvariants? The new variants are dubbed BA212 and BA2121 (BA.2.12 and BA.2.12.1) and BA212 is believed to spread faster than BA2. The BA212 strain is identified in 6 countries including Canada, UK, Australia, Israel and Luxembourg. Very interesting. The cluster of illnesses in Canada and northern New York are likely in part due to the BA212 bug. A positive aspect of the new BA2 wave, and its subvariants, is that the trouble begins at a slower pace, so far, than the BA1 wave that exploded higher with a moon-shot. Research continues in New York determining how effective the vaccines are against the new BA212 and BA2121 variants.
