SPX S&P 500 Monthly Chart Long Term Trend Line
A long-term trend line for the SPX from 1995 to present, the last 20 years, displays lots of price touches and serves as a bull-bear line in the sand for LT investors. The trend line is currently at 2050-ish. Price is 50 points above at 2100 so the bulls are happy. Bears will be joyous if the SPX falls under 2050 since extended market weakness will follow.
