SPX support,
resistance (S/R), moving averages and other important levels are provided for
trading the week of 11/4/13. The bulls create a low volume melt-up in Monday trading to begin the new week. For Tuesday, the bulls need to touch the 1769 handle and that will lead to an upside acceleration to test the all-time closing high at 1771.95 and perhaps the all-time intraday high at 1775.22. The bears need to push under 1762 to immediately send price lower into the 1752-1759 support area. A move through 1763-1768 is sideways action. S&P futures are -5 as this missive is typed about 3 hours before the opening bell.
Key S/R is 1775, 1772, 1769, 1763, 1759, 1752, 1745, 1733, 1730 and 1722. The 20-day MA at 1732.80 and rising desperately needing a back kiss. Thus, with the 20-day rising, the 1733-1745 support zone is a reasonable expectation target for price moving forward.
