What timing. Breaking news. “It’s déjà vu all over again,”as Yogi said. As Article 92 went to print 10 days ago, it was announced that CDC Director Rochelle Walensky tested positive for COVID-19. Well, Play It Again, Sam.

As Article 93 is prepared, the CDC announces that Dr Walensky has a Paxlovid rebound case. She joins the quadruple or more vaccinated club, with two Paxlovid treatments (the second regimen in progress), and had COVID-19 twice. Just like Dr Fauci, President Biden, First Lady Jill, Pfizer CEO Bourla, and the list goes on. Millions of Americans say no thank you and do not want to follow this medical model.

Best wishes for Dr Walensky to make a speedy recovery but you simply cannot make the stuff up. Walensky has been mum about her treatment and covid tests which shines more attention on the news. Walensky had recovered and tested negative for covid, but like Fauci and others, a day later tested positive again. Chalk another one up to Paxlovid rebound. It is hard to sell the Fall booster shots while sick in bed with covid.

The world and United States are succeeding in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. The data and charts show that the transition from the covid pandemic to the endemic phase is underway. The metrics assessing the transition to the endemic phase are discussed near the end of the article but first a look at the US charts and world’s trouble spots.

The United States daily new cases chart is shown above a beautiful picture. America’s daily new cases for Saturday and Sunday are at 17.9K and 11.2K, respectively. Saturday’s initial number was a hair under 10K cases but the revisions over the last few hours push the number higher. The single-digits for daily new cases remain elusive even for the low weekend numbers.

It is not good that Saturday’s revision jumps to near 18K cases. Higher revisions indicate that a new wave of infections may be developing. Watch the daily new cases numbers this week to see if initial numbers, that are released on a 2-day delay, are revised higher a day later. You want to see the initial cases number remain relatively the same as the days play out and not bump higher by thousands of cases.

The 7-day MA for US daily new cases peaked in mid-July at 133K cases per day and drops to 23K cases per day representing wave 7’s demise. It is a -83% reduction in US daily new cases in 3-1/2 months. It will be great to see the 7-day MA in the teens (if a Fall wave 8 does not appear). The 3-day MA for US daily new cases is down to 14K cases per day in the teens.

The current US daily new cases drop to levels not seen since the summer of 2021 and the start of the pandemic in March 2020. The 7-day MA trendline compares back to summer 2021 (the lowest cases in 16 months) but needs to be in the teens of cases per day to compare back to 2020 and christen the transformation from pandemic to endemic. Nonetheless, it is all great news. Cases dropping is always good news. Chariots A Comin’ Good News.

Scientists, doctors and medical talking heads are concerned about a Fall outbreak in the United States especially since that was the pattern for Fall 2020 (wave 3) and Fall 2021 (heinous wave 6). On the MrBrightside, the central European outbreaks are subsiding and are not spreading to Spain or Portugal. The UK and Ireland are also managing their small numbers of ongoing COVID-19 cases without major worry.

Since the threat from across the pond appears minimal, it is a feather in the cap of those that believe a US wave 8 is not in the works. Also, the northeastern US states are not experiencing covid trouble (based on daily new covid cases) although New Jersey must be watched closely. US wave 7 is toast and the path ahead is rosy, however, New Jersey will serve as a poster boy for potential covid trouble this Fall.

The US active cases chart is shown above. This is the chart that needs to form the bell shape to prove that the virus is being defeated. US active COVID-19 cases drop to 1.34 million. The downtrend softens slightly. It would be better if the active cases fall faster. After 34 months of the never-ending China Virus pandemic, patience is wearing thin. US active cases need to get below 1.2 million, the April low, to signal party time.

The US daily new deaths chart is shown above. 174 Americans continue dying from COVID-19 each day. Don’t put yourself out Sleepy Joe. It is only poor old people that are dying. Biden has failed miserably at bringing down the covid death rate in America.

Paxlovid is available but obviously not getting to the people that need it within 5 days of testing positive. Most folks do not know what to do. They are not on a fancy computer every day receiving COVID-19 information. The messaging and guidance from the Whitehouse (both Trump and Biden), CDC, NIH, FDA and WHO is pitiful. It indicates laziness at the Whitehouse and CDC that need to get their hands dirty Where the Streets Have NoName if they really want to help folks.

The US COVID-19 death rate rises for all the infection waves except for wave 4 and wave 7 is a steady flatline. If the pandemic was only a United States thing, it would have ended after wave 4. But since the pandemic is not over until it is over everywhere in the world, the terrible waves 5 and 6 appear. Perhaps the demise of US wave 7 will finally signal the end of the worldwide pandemic demoting it to endemic status.

As mentioned, New Jersey is on the radar as the poster child for a potential Fall infection wave and its daily new cases chart is shown above. A big spike of 3.9K daily new cases is reported for Saturday but only 1.3K for Sunday. The 7-day MA of daily new cases rises to 2.0K cases per day. A few days need to play out to determine what is going on in Joisey. The active cases for New Jersey are flat and take a tick higher at 110K cases for the first time since April when wave 7 started.

It is nothing to panic about in New Jersey, however, the 3-day MA is starting to print higher lows and higher highs; not good. Joisey’s fate, and by default America’s, is decided by the daily new cases in the days ahead. It would be helpful to know what variants are at play in New Jersey. The lower cases on Sunday are encouraging and New Jersey may end up as a nothing burger like Maine and New Hampshire.

Virginia is in the same boat as New Jersey with a tiny spike in daily cases but nothing significant so far afterwards. Ditto Illinois that can also serve as a poster boy for a potential Fall wave. Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Missouri, Maryland and West Virginia need watched.

New Mexico’s daily new cases chart is shown above. The 7-day MA is ramping higher 429 infections per day. Navajo Nation, in the northwest corner of New Mexico and northeast corner of Arizona, are accounting for many infections. It is odd that Arizona does not show the same rise in cases occurring which hints that infections are also due to migrants crossing the southern border.

Maine and New Hampshire were a concern 10 days ago but that covid trouble is passing and the infections did not move south and west into Vermont and Massachusetts. The northeastern states are not showing any significant rise in cases. New York is fine. The news is good but New Jersey, Virginia, Illinois and New Mexico require a hairy eyeball. They provide insight into a potential wave 8 in the US.

If the daily new cases remain in check for the states mentioned, the holiday picture will become brighter and more joyous. It will be better to receive an endemic sweater under the Christmas tree this year instead of the same-o pandemic socks for the third straight year.

As a general thought, some of the small spikes in cases for a state on a given day may be due to hospitals pulling their hair out trying to determine which cases are covid, which are the regular flu and which are RSV, since the symptoms overlap. Case numbers may be skewed during this ‘tripledemic’.

The world’s daily new cases chart is shown above a beautiful sight. The world reports only 184K daily new cases for Sunday fantastic news. The 7-day MA trendline for daily cases worldwide drops to 309K cases per day on the verge of a 2-handle comparing back to 2020. Central Europe is improving sending the world’s cases lower. Everything’s Coming Up Roses.

The world’s daily new deaths chart is shown above. 1,144 earthlings continue dying from COVID-19 each day but the trend is lower comparing back to March 2020 another check mark in the endemic column. It will be great to see the global covid death rate drop below 1,000 bodies per day. Deaths rise for all the waves except the last three another sign that the pandemic moves into the endemic phase.

Singapore’s daily new cases chart is shown above. Singapore is the poster child for the XBB variant. Central Europe is the poster boy for the BQ1 and BQ11 variants. These are the three variants creating the most angst around the world currently.

Singapore peaked at 11.9K daily new cases on 10/18/22. The 7-day MA for Singapore’s daily cases is dropping like a rock at 4.9K cases per day excellent news. Maintain a watchful eye on the Tuesday and Wednesday cases, which will be released on Thursday and Friday, respectively, since these are the days that report the highest cases for the week. Singapore looks good going forward so XBB may be more bark than bite.

Malaysia’s daily new cases chart is shown above. The 7-day MA trendline is ramping higher at 2.7K cases per day. A new infection wave is underway and the XBB variant is likely the culprit. Hopefully, it will be a short-lived bump in cases that will roll over quickly. Malaysia’s active cases chart is also on the upswing; not good.

Indonesia is in the same covid boat as Malaysia with daily cases sneaking higher. The XBB variant may be in play since Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia are neighbors. Nothing can stop the island boys from canoeing to other islands seeking pretty black-eyed native girls to kiss and hug.

South Korea’s daily new cases chart is shown above. The 7-day MA ramps higher at over 35K cases per day; not good. In other news, South Korea is dealing with a horrific Halloween event that turned into a panic and human stampede where over 150 people died. Many victims are from other countries, including the US, and most of the dead are between 20 and 40 years old.

COVID-19 is killing 25 South Koreans per day. South Korea must be watched closely to see how the new infection wave develops. XBB may be the culprit and more information should be available in the days ahead.

Japan’s daily new cases chart is shown above. There is a pesky infection wave in progress with the 7-day MA at over 41K daily new cases per day; not good. Is this trouble the XBB variant? Japan reports over 50K cases on 10/26/22, last Wednesday, so the 11/2/22 cases, that will be known on 11/4/22, will dictate the path forward for Japan.

Chile’s daily new cases chart is shown above. The 7-day MA is running higher at 5.9K cases per day. The peak day is 8.3K cases on 10/27/22 so the 11/3/22 cases will provide a great comparison to see if the infection wave has legs.

France’s daily new cases chart is shown above. Central Europe is recovering from the BQ1 and BQ11 barrage. France, Italy and Germany serve as the poster children for the BQ variants. Like XBB in Singapore, the infection waves roll over without creating too much trouble.

France reports only 16.5K daily new cases for Sunday and the 7-day MA is down to 29K cases per day dropping like a stone. Germany and Italy are in the same happy boat with daily cases receding. The French are joyous as they return to their wine, baguette and cigarettes at the local café.

Germany’s infection wave is a bit nastier than France and Italy perhaps due to the Oktoberfest beer parties. The young ladies in their pretty dirndl dresses are too irresistible for the young men in lederhosen. Hugs, kisses, laughter and singing spread COVID-19 but humorously, a young man sick with the virus for a few days will say it was worth it.

Each of the last 4 waves in France diminish in total cases which is a great trend in place. One of the great mysteries in life is how the pyramids were built but equally perplexing is why has Spain and Portugal not been infected by the rampant COVID-19 outbreak in central Europe over the last 6 weeks? Perhaps it is a great topic for a PhD candidate to study.

The drop in European cases sends the world’s cases lower. The pandemic phase is ending transitioning into the endemic phase. The China Virus pandemic cannot end soon enough. Goodbye to You, as Patty sings. The healing in Europe and lack of trouble in other European nations, as well as calm in the UK and Ireland, provide hope that the United States may not see the Fall infection wave 8 that people fear.

Generally speaking, the planet looks good for the COVID-19 transition phase from pandemic to endemic. The countries and US states to focus on for the days ahead are Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Hong Kong, Chile, New Jersey, Illinois, Virginia and New Mexico.

US hospital admissions for COVID-19 are taking a turn lower again especially for the 70 years old and older crowd. It is great news but the older folks that were susceptible to dying probably already croaked this year. There is a mountain of dead covid bodies in 2022.

The important thing is that admissions are moving lower again, as per the last day of data on 10/29/22 (Saturday). This behavior hints that the hospitalizations should move lower.

US COVID-19 hospitalizations also resume the downtrend now at 19K patients as per Saturday; great news.

The CDC Community Transmission map is mostly green (low-risk for covid infection) but It was greener a couple weeks ago. The northeast states are shown in yellow (medium-risk) and orange (high-risk) but the daily new cases do not show any substantive trouble.

There is some yellow in Virginia, West Virginia and Kentucky which matches the daily new cases data. Ditto in New Mexico showing yellow where infections are rising. Illinois displays blotches of yellow and orange again agreeing with the slight bump higher in daily cases.

It is always great to see two different approaches, the map’s criteria and the daily new cases only data, agree on the potential problem areas. It verifies both methodologies. The map is overdoing the yellow and orange shown in the northeastern states but the CDC analysts can tweak the model in the future.

76% of US counties are at low risk (green), 22% at medium risk (yellow) and 2.3% high-risk (orange). We’re going in the wrong direction because 10 days ago the percentages were 81%, 18% and 1.4%. The green needs to go to 100% while yellow and orange go to 0% but the shift in recent days was a loss of low-risk counties (green) and a gain of medium (yellow) and high-risk counties (orange). Not good.

The US vaccination rate is rolling over like Uncle Corny on the couch after a weekend bender. The US vax rate drops to 414K shots per day and this data is a week old. The vaccination rate is likely even lower in real-time.  The uptake of the new COVID-19 booster shots is pitiful with only 7% to 8% of the eligible folks rolling up their sleeves.

The Whitehouse and CDC thought they were smart calling the new booster the “bivalent” shot to get away from the mRNA messaging, even though it is still a mRNA shot, but that is not working. Perhaps the new bivalent word is scaring people away. A few polls in recent days and weeks show that many Americans are simply oblivious to the COVID-19 messaging.

People have moved on with life. Paxlovid? What’s that? New bivalent booster shots are available? Wow, that is the first I heard about it. Covid testing? Are you still supposed to test for covid? Isn’t it over? President Biden said covid was over. The pandemic has been a chaotic and confusing mess under the mismanagement of clown Trump and bozo Biden. Dr Walensky is sick with COVID-19 which makes it difficult to sell vaccines. Dr Fauci is calling attorneys as he prepares for retirement.

The USA has the greatest number of total coronavirus cases in the world at 99.4 million. India is next with 44.7 million total virus cases. France, Germany, Brazil, South Korea, UK, Italy, Japan, Russia, Turkey, Spain, Vietnam, Australia, Argentina, Netherlands, Taiwan, Iran, Mexico, Indonesia, Poland and Colombia round out the top 22 worst nations for total COVID-19 cases.

Over the last 10 days, Taiwan leapfrogs Iran. Two weeks ago, Taiwan leapfrogged Mexico. Taiwan is on the mend from the current infection wave but case numbers remain elevated. This behavior in Taiwan hints that the covid outbreak across mainland China is likely far worse than reported (they are in the same neighborhood).

COVID-19 has infected 636 million people worldwide. China (the CCP) owes reparations to the world for its sick heinous crime against humanity. 6.595 million people on Earth are dead from the China Flu a grim statistic. 615 million global citizens have recovered from the virus.

96.7% (615/636) of the people that become infected with COVID-19 recover in a reasonable time frame. The percentage has a slight upward bias over the last few weeks great news for the planet.

Worldwide, 1.0% (6.595/636) of the people that are infected with covid die; 1 in 96 (hit the 1/x button on your calculator). This number was 1.2% for over a year so slippage to 1.0% for the last few months is great news (less people are dying after they become infected compared to prior waves).

8.3% (636/7670) of the world’s population of 7.67 billion people have been infected with coronavirus; 1 in every 12 people on earth. 0.09% of the world’s population (6.595/7670) died from the pandemic so far; 1 in every 1,163 people on earth died from China Virus over the last couple years.

In the United States, 99.4 million people have been infected with covid. 1.095 million Americans are dead. 96.9 million Americans have recovered from coronavirus. This equates to 97.5% (96.9/99.4) of US citizens recovering after becoming infected with COVID-19. Those are good odds. Most of the COVID-19 deaths are old or fat people and heaven help you if you are old and fat.

In the US, 1.1% (1.095/99.4) of the people infected with COVID-19 die. 1 in every 91 US citizens that are infected with coronavirus die. 0.3% (1/330) of Americans have died from COVID-19 which is 1 in every 303 Americans over the last 2-1/2 years.

30.1% (99.4/330) of the American population of 330 million people have been infected with covid. That is almost at 1 in every 3 Americans. Latest data and commentaries say about 80% of the US population has been infected with COVID-19 over the last 34 months.

The United States has 16% (99.4/636) of the COVID-19 cases in the world. 1 in 6 people that become infected with covid on the planet are Americans. The US vaccination program made an impact month’s ago, but not so much in recent months.

The US accounts for 16.6% (1.095/6.595) of the China Flu deaths in the world. 1 in 6 people that die from COVID-19 around the world are Americans. 1-1/2 years ago, it was 1 in 5 so vaccinations helped.

The Keystone Speculator Coronavirus Infection Rate Model, the Keystone Model for short, is a simple model that predicts when the active cases (bell-curve) chart will flatten-out and roll-over lower. The active cases chart is the ‘flatten the curve’ chart that represents the maximum stress and strain on the medical system and healthcare workers. Once the active cases chart rolls over forming the bell shape, the virus is being defeated and healthcare workers can breathe easier.

The Keystone Model is very effective and reliable in predicting the peaks in active cases for countries and US states as shown over the last couple years. The bad country and bad US state lists below display the covid trouble spots around the world.

Another 10-day period passes and more data and information become available to push the China Virus story forward. The Coronavirus Chronology identifies the real-time covid hot zones occurring around the world and within the United States. The chronology serves as a historical document that will be referenced for decades to come by those that want to experience the entire pandemic as it unfolds in real-time.

The Coronavirus Chronology compilation of articles will be published in the future by Amazon and others and distributed internationally. This is Article 93 in the Coronavirus Chronology that provides real-time information for historians, teachers, students, journalists, economists, market participants, corporate executives, financial managers, Wall Street, doctors, nurses, medical personnel, first responders, psychologists, psychiatrists, counselors, neurologists, researchers, public officials, news organizations, traders, investors and politicians studying the COVID-19 pandemic both domestically (USA) and internationally.

This ninety-third article is published on Tuesday, 11/1/22. The Coronavirus Chronology series of articles are the only real-time source of information available continuously chronicling the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic from early 2020 into and through 2022; it is the China Virus Bible.

Readers live and breathe the pandemic, the worst in a century, as it occurs in real-time, experiencing the daily virus zeitgeist, good or bad, devoid of political correctness. This is not revisionist history-telling. It is the raw pandemic truth and human emotion occurring, recorded and chronicled in real time, without any allegiance to political parties or media sources. The information is direct and unapologetic. A chronology can be written no other way.

All 93 Coronavirus Chronology articles are archived on The Keystone Speculator blog. The last couple articles are linked below if you want to remain up to speed with the never-ending COVID-19 saga that may be finally moving into the endemic phase.

The Worldometer web site tracks coronavirus (COVID-19) around the world and its link is provided. Many charts in the coronavirus series of articles are provided courtesy of Worldometer and annotated by Keystone. The CDC COVID Data Tracker is another excellent source of information. The Worldometer, Johns-Hopkins and CDC data track each other well.

The active cases curves are moving higher (hospitals are seeing an increase in COVID-19 patients) for the nations listed below.

Japan (Sixth Wave)

China remains in trouble.  Shanghai Disneyland is locked down for 2 days after a COVID-19 outbreak was detected. There are rumors that Beijing will relax the covid restrictions and lockdowns so China-related stocks rally over +5% but the CCP-run media says there is no truth to the news. Stocks sell off.

Poland is removed from the bad list as its active cases curve flattens. Belgium, Germany, UK, Switzerland, France, Italy, Canada, Taiwan and Singapore are taken off the bad country list since their active cases curves are dropping and the covid monster is being defeated. Hopefully, the five nations above will show improvement in the days ahead.

Central Europe is improving. Asia is a covid hotbed these days but the improvements in Singapore and Taiwan point to better days ahead. Chile must be monitored to see if the infections spread north further into South America.

The US bad state list was brought back in the last article due to the potential trouble in Maine and New Hampshire but their active cases charts are rolling over to the down side and they are already removed from the list. Four new states are added that can serve as the poster children for a potential Fall infection wave 8 in America. Hopefully, the small bump in cases will quickly dissipate.

Illinois (Eighth Wave)
10/28/22 New Case Peak Date
11/8/22 Projected Active Case Peak Date (based on 11 days)

Virginia (Eighth Wave)
10/28/22 New Case Peak Date

The northeastern states do not show any major problems occurring with the daily new cases. Other states requiring a hairy eyeball over the coming days include New York, Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Missouri, West Virginia and Maryland. Multiple-vaccinated Governor Hogan in Maryland announced yesterday that he has contracted COVID-19 for the second time.

A news article professes doom and black clouds over New York but covid hospitalizations, as per the CDC, have only risen from 2,100 to 2,700 September to October and have rolled over down to 2,300 again, and this data is 5 days old (so the hospitalizations are likely even lower). Use the dropdownmenu on the CDC sight to access the New York hospitalizations. Perhaps the sensationalizing of the covid infections helps sell newspapers, creates more internet clicks and encourages vaccinations.

Pfizer announces strong vaccine sales so PFE stock pops +3% in a down tape. Pfizer announces plans to submit data by the end of the year for a RSV vaccine.

An article in the Atlantic is receiving attention called “Let’s Declare a Pandemic Amnesty.” The subline by Emily Oster says, “We need to forgive one another for what we did and said when we were in the dark about COVID.” Sounds like Emily has a lot of apologizing to do for her misinformation and disinformation during the pandemic. Idiot. There is no excuse for trampling on the First Amendment, jackass.

The teacher’s union President Randi Weingarten, that spent the pandemic trying to keep teachers at home eating bonbons, praises the article about pandemic amnesty. Of course she does since she is one of the biggest purveyors of misinformation. People in the government and leadership positions may want to rewrite history but the Coronavirus Chronology will never let anyone off the hook. It is all written in concrete as it occurred in real-time.

No one will, or should, forget about all the jackass COVID-19 misinformation and disinformation coming from the Whitehouse under both Trump and Biden as well as the terrible messaging from Fauci, Walensky, CDC, NIH, FDA, WHO, AMA, other medical institutions and other talking heads. Don’t let anyone off the hook. All the players involved must be held accountable for any purposeful misdeeds, including lying, once the pandemic smoke clears.

The Coronavirus Chronology was screwed over the last 2-1/2 years by censorship and shadow banning for simply chronicling the pandemic in real-time. Who comes back and makes that right? No one will. Shove pandemic amnesty up your *ss. These people would be better off to read, study, understand and follow the First Amendment.

The Coronavirus Chronology is using 8 metrics to assess the pandemic to endemic transition. (1) The world’s daily new cases should be below 360K per day to claim endemic status and cases are now at 309K per day. Great news. (2) The world’s daily new deaths should be below 1.3K per day and they are below 1.3K for the last few weeks so this is a win for the endemic phase.

(3) For the United States to be in the endemic phase, the daily new cases should be below 10K cases per day and are now at 23K per day. (4) US active cases should be below 730K cases (at least below 1 million) now at 1.3 million getting there slowly. (5) The US COVID-19 death rate should be below 180 bodies per day now at 174 souls per day so it can receive an endemic check mark but deaths need to drop far more.

(6) To declare the endemic phase in America, US hospitalizations should drop below 10K patients and are now at 19K making their way lower. (7) The CDC Community Transmission map should turn completely green and yellow to usher in the endemic phase and 98% of US counties meet these criteria with only 2% remaining in the high-risk zone (it was better at 99% 10 days ago).

(8) Lastly, the public needs to accept that the pandemic is over and this is already in the endemic column since most Americans have resumed their normal lives and ignore the COVID-19 news.

There is a lot more work to do to declare the endemic phase. 4 of the guidelines are in the endemic phase and 4 remain in the pandemic phase. It is progress. 10 days ago, only 2 of the 8 guidelines above were in the endemic column.

Asia needs to get a handle on its covid cases in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea. Chile needs to show improvement. The US needs to keep COVID-19 at bay and keep decreasing the daily new cases. The world is heading in the right direction. There is light at the end of the covid tunnel and it is not an oncoming train, at least so far. Watch New Jersey.

The smorgasbord of subvariants at play around the world include BA2, BA4, BA5, BA275, BA46, BF7, BQ1, BQ11, XBB (BA210). BQ1 and BQ11 (central Europe) and XBB (Singapore) are the variants of most concern currently.

BA275, BA46, BF7, BQ11 and XBB are resistant to Evusheld treatment which is lousy news. BQ11 and XBB are resistant to Eli Lilly’s monoclonal antibody (mAb) treatment bebtelovimab terrible news.

As per the CDC’s variant proportions data, 50% of the current cases in the US are BA5 way down from over 90% of the cases a few weeks ago. 10% of the new cases are BA46. 14% are BQ1. 13% are BQ11. 8% are BF7. Grouping the BQ’s together is 27% up from 16% only 10 days ago. The BQ’s are nasty and surpassing the BA46 infections.

Keep in mind that the number of covid cases per day in the United States has dropped -80% over the last 3 months. The variant percentages are important but realize that the coronavirus pie is only one-fifth the size it was in July/August. The actual numbers are what matters when assessing the variant distributions.

Dit … dit ….. dit ….. one more dit …….  BULLETIN  … US Education Secretary Miguel Cardona tests positive for COVID-19. Was he in contact with Dr Walensky? Cardona is said to be, everyone together now, ‘experiencing mild symptoms’. He is multiple-vaccinated and his booster is up to date. So much for that.

Cardona is rich with easy access to the best medical care so has probably started his first day of the 5-day anti-viral oral pill Paxlovid treatment. If he was poor, he never heard of Paxlovid and would be wondering what to do after testing positive using a test kit provided by a neighbor. Such is America’s rich, and poor.

Multiple-vaccinated and boosted officials catching COVID-19 is not a good selling point for President Biden, Fauci and Big Pharma hawking the magical Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna mRNA elixirs from the back of the Whitehouse carnival wagon.

Note Added Wednesday, 11/2/22, at 4:00 AM EST: The world reports only 184K daily new COVID-19 cases for Monday complementing the 187K cases on Sunday. The numbers are a tasty Halloween treat. The 7-day MA is down to 288K cases per day for planet Earth continuing lower. The daily new cases are comparing back to the summer of 2020 and sooner when the pandemic started. The pandemic road is long with many winding turns that leads us to who knows where, as the Hollies sang. The coronavirus pandemic is gasping its last breaths as it transitions into endemic status. More good news. 1,053 earthlings are dying per day from China Virus with the global death rate on the verge of dropping below 1K. The global deaths compare back to the start of the pandemic another win for the endemic cheerleaders. Singapore reports 2.6K daily new cases and the 7-day MA is down to 5.3K cases per day stuttering a bit at the 5K-ish cases per day level due to the 9.6K cases reported last Wednesday. This one-day spike in cases drops out of the 7-day moving average calculation over the next couple days. Singapore has one last test to make sure that COVID-19 is being beaten down. The biggest days of cases for the week are on Tuesday and Wednesday and this data will be known tomorrow morning and Friday, respectively. The daily new cases for both days must remain below 9.6K cases and it will be smooth sailing for Singapore ahead. The influx of business people and investment bankers into Singapore are a likely cause of the infection wave that has peaked on 10/18/22 as long as this week's data remains cooperative, which it should. Singapore is Asia's new financial hub after Hong Kong was taken over by Dictator Xi and his CCP henchmen and is now under complete communist control. No one wants to do business in bugged hotel and conference rooms so the international banking community is setting up shop in Singapore.

Note Added Wednesday, 11/2/22, at 4:30 AM EST: South Korea reports 18K cases one-half the cases of the prior 2 days so perhaps the new infection wave will be a pig in a poke. The current peak is 44K daily new cases last Tuesday so yesterday's cases, that will be known tomorrow morning, are vital to forecasting the path ahead for South Korea. Japan reports 22K  daily cases for Monday pulling back from recent cases at twice that level another positive development. Taiwan reports 22K cases for Monday continuing the trend lower beating down its infection wave. Malaysia and Indonesia are under a watchful eye this week. China remains a mess. The Chinese people become more vocal each day about their displeasure with the zero-covid strategy, inadequate food supplies and isolation facilities. Chile reports 4K cases for Monday and the 7-day MA is trying to flatten at 5.8K cases per day. The world is trying to get its final ducks in a row to end the COVID-19 pandemic.

Note Added Wednesday, 11/2/22, at 5:00 AM EST: The US reports only 16K daily new cases for Monday a weekday no less. Great news. The 7-day MA for US daily cases drops to 22K cases per day inching towards the teens and endemic territory. 173 Americans continue dying from covid each day but at least the death rate is moving into a region where it is on par with the regular flu season (endemic). The northeastern states are calm and not showing any big pops in daily new cases. Checking in on the poster children that may warn of a pending new wave 8 in the United States this Fall, New Jersey reports only 1K cases for Monday. The big spike to 3.9K daily cases on Saturday may have been a fluke. Hope so. The covid picture becomes brighter for Joisey but the cases for 11/5/22 will be needed to assess the path forward. Virginia, Illinois and New Mexico report daily new cases coming off the recent highs so fingers are crossed that they keep behaving themselves. Oh, behave. Other states look fine with no sign of daily cases taking off wildly higher. With central Europe on the mend, the UK fine, conditions improving in Asia, and calm cases in America, it looks good for the transition to the endemic phase worldwide but being so close now, you don't want to jinx it.

Note Added Wednesday, 11/2/22, at 6:00 AM EST: A witness in the Trump Organization tax fraud trial in New York City tests positive for COVID-19 delaying the proceedings until  11/7/22. The CDC releases a statement on Dr Walensky's recovery but it is everything already known. It does not state if she has started a second regimen of Paxlovid. Former democrat Connecticut state representative Michael DiMassa hangs his head in shame pleading guilty to the theft of $1.2 million in COVID-19 relief funds from the town of West Haven. The dirtbag used some of the money to feed a gambling habit. His wife, a business partner and others are also charged and awaiting trials for their sick deeds. Human greed is the most powerful force.

Note Added Wednesday Afternoon, 11/2/22: A slick attorney Todd Callendar is interviewed on social media by influencer Marie Zeee. Callendar proclaims that vaccinated people are no longer homo sapiens but instead "homoborgenesis" because their DNA has been genetically modified. He asks that if these folks are no longer human, do they have the same rights? The so-called fact-checker's, that are corrupt political operatives of both parties, pull their hair out on this bazaar news telling Americans to not listen to this guy. The medical talking heads decree that mRNA shots do not alter DNA. The interview is taken down on Instagram but remains up on Twitter. Callendar claims the name homoborgenesis comes from a NASA white paper out of Langley but he will have to provide more details. Lots of high strangeness is born from the pandemic. Strange Days, as Jim would sing.

Note Added Wednesday Evening, 11/2/22: In the UK, MP (Member of Parliament) Andrew Bridgen discusses the correlation between the COVID-19 vaccine and excess deaths around the world. A video is posted on gloria.tv. Bridgen decrees, "What analysis is the government making of these excess deaths? But even a casual glance at the data shows that there is a very strong correlation between vaccine uptake and the level of excess deaths found in that country. Surely, we must have an investigation. These are tens of thousands of people who are dying, more than were expected. It's really really important. And I think if we don't get this right, no one's going to  believe, we're going to lose trust in our politicians, and we're gonna lose trust in our medicine, and medical system." Before people go off halfcocked, understand that Bridgen is not saying that vaccines cause excess deaths. He is saying this needs investigated to find out why such a large number of people have perished over the last couple years. The excess deaths may be a coincidence alongside the vaccinations or the jabs may be a partial contributing factor to the excess deaths. These questions need answered because hundreds of millions of people around the world are walking around with mRNA spike proteins circulating in their bodies.

Note Added Thursday Morning, 11/3/22, at 4:00 AM EST: THE WORLD EXCEEDS 6.6 MILLION COVID-19 DEATHS. China unleashed horror upon the world. The world reports 304K daily new cases for Tuesday as the data moves into the meat of the week. The 7-day MA trendline for the world's daily cases continues lower at 286K cases per day becoming more endemic than pandemic. 1,071 people continue dying from COVID-19 worldwide each day. Singapore reports 5.7K daily new cases remaining below last week's high in cases at 9.6K. Singapore has one more test tomorrow morning when the Wednesday cases are reported. Daily cases must remain below 9.6K, which is expected, to prove that the recovery from the infection wave is firmly in place and progressing nicely. Oh no. South Korea reports over 58K daily new cases for Tuesday. Now it is obvious why the world's cases popped to 304K. It is bad news indicating that South Korea is now engulfed in a new infection wave. Damn it. Japan reports a big 67K daily new cases a terrible sight also adding to the world's numbers. Japan crosses the 22.5 million total COVID-19 cases milestone. Almost 20%, or 1 in 5 Japanese, have contracted China Virus over the last 2 years. South Korea, Japan and China are the world's covid hotspots. The massive Foxconn (Hon Hai; Apple's manufacturer and assembler) facility that employs 200K people, called "iPhone City," remains in the closed-loop lockdown. Thousands of employees leave the facility to isolate at home. News reports say 20K Foxconn workers are sick with covid but the communist-run media dispels the information. A Foxconn employee makes about $1,000 per month and are now being offered an extra $500 per month to stay at the facility and continue making Apple gadgets. Workers complain of horrible conditions and lack of food. Seeing the thousands of Chinese folks fleeing the Foxconn facility is proof that dirtbag Dictator Xi's zero-covid policy is a failure. It is an interesting world ahead where the 2 hundo nations on the planet have lived through the 34-month pandemic and are moving on in life, accepting the fact that the disease will maintain endemic status, like the regular flu, but China is steadfast in maintaining its lone-wolf zero-covid strategy. Perhaps China will start a new strain of COVID-19 that circles the world since their daily cases will continue indefinitely allowing the virus to mutate? The world needs to clamp down on China's nefarious biologic and bioweapons laboratories. China will be isolated from the world and hurt the global economy but the communists, Xi and his CCP henchmen, maintain the zero-covid policy since it is an easy way to control the 1.4 billion population. Thank goodness that Taiwan remains on the mend. Chile's infection wave remains at 5.2K cases per day but may be manageable going forward.

Note Added Thursday Morning, 11/3/22, at 5:00 AM EST: The US reports only 27K daily new cases for Tuesday and the 7-day MA is down to 29K cases per day. US active cases (the bell-curve chart) drop to 1.38 million a 1.3 handle. US wave 7 is history but medical officials are walking on covid eggshells wondering if a wave 8 will rear its ugly head. New Jersey, a poster boy for a potential new US infection wave, reports 1.6K daily new cases and the 7-day MA is over 2.0K cases per day. As long as the daily cases remain sub 2.0K, the 7-day moving average will be pulled lower. The big test for New Jersey is Saturday's cases since they will compare back to the big spike of 3.9K cases on 10/29/22. Other states are hanging in there with no sign of duress as yet. New Jersey is the canary in the covid coal mine and hopefully it will live through Saturday. Optimism remains that COVID-19 is turning endemic around the world. The two setbacks this morning are South Korea and Japan. It would be great if the nations, or the WHO, can find out what variants are at play so the world can remain alert.

Note Added Thursday Morning, 11/3/22, at 8:00 AM EST: Moderna stock, MRNA, tanks -12% after missing on sales and earnings and lowering sales guidance for its COVID-19 vaccine. MRNA fell -4% yesterday since corrupt insider traders knew the announcement ahead of time (selling out of long positions in MRNA stock and then shorting it overnight). Such is America's rigged crony capitalism system in its last throes.

Note Added Thursday Morning, 11/3/22, at 9:00 AM EST: Julie Powell, the 49-year old food writer and author of Julie and Julia, a book about famous cook Julia Child that was made into a movie, dies. Dying in the 40's is too young. The New York Times writes an obituary about Powell that fuels controversy over her death. Her husband says she died of cardiac arrest. In prior comments, Powell appears happy that "anti-vaxxers/maskers are dying in legions," and was vocal about her multiple COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters always cheerleading the shots. Powell was dealing with Black Hairy Tongue that is sometimes a side effect of covid right before her death. She had a bout with covid a few weeks earlier. When she complained about symptoms including Black Hairy Tongue, her doctor said do not worry about it. A few days later she did not have to worry about it because she was dead. People on social media are wondering if the covid vaccinations led to her heart attack death and are calling for government investigations into the relationship between the COVID-19 vaccines and heart problems. The curious case of Julie Powell will remain a mystery. Did the 49-year old die of a heart attack? Was a prior covid infection a contributing cause to her heart attack death? Was the covid vaccine a contributing cause to her death? People worldwide are raising similar questions about the COVID-19 vaccines. Folks obeyed governments and got vaccinated and now want to know what is inside their bodies. Big Pharma keeps pushing the Whitehouse to extend the liability protection for the covid vaccines. Of course they are.

Note Added Thursday Morning, 11/3/22, at 11:00 AM EST: Pfizer and BioNTech announce the start of a drug trial on 180 people for a combined COVID-19 and flu mRNA vaccine. Medical officials think a single shot each year would boost vaccine uptake. They are banking on the people that take a yearly flu shot figuring that they will readily accept the combo jab. That is stupid. If the vaccines are needed and useful they should stand on their own merits. A combination shot sounds like more Frankenstein stuff in the biotechnology laboratory and may actually steer people away from taking the jab. Medical talking heads and decision makers are completely out of touch with common people.

Note Added Thursday Afternoon, 11/3/22: A Delphi study (research into a topic using the broad consensus among the participants as a starting point) is published in Nature that addresses the pandemic mistakes and victories. The research is headed by Jeffrey V Lazarus at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) in Barcelona, Spain. Nearly 400 individuals in 112 countries participate in the study providing feedback on the handling of the pandemic. The study provides 10 recommendations covering different domains. 96% of the world's participants proclaim that a stronger focus was needed on prevention of the virus. The study decrees, "All countries should adopt a vaccine-plus approach that includes a combination of COVID-19 vaccination, prevention measures, treatment and financial incentives." The 'vaccine-plus' sound a lot like what the Frontline doctors have been preaching since day one of the pandemic (cough, HCQ, ahem, ivermectin, cough, ahem, zinc, vitamin D-3, cough, just clearing the throat).

Note Added Friday Morning, 11/4/22, at 4:00 AM EST: The world reports 335K daily new cases and the 7-day MA is down to 290K cases per day. 1,082 earthlings are dying per day from covid. Singapore reports  4.1K cases for  Wednesday a great number less than half of last week's peak cases at 9.6K on Wednesday, 10/26/22. Singapore is on the mend. The XBB wave is about 6 weeks old so far with 4 weeks of rising daily cases and now 2 weeks of downward cases. The news is not  good in South Korea with 55K daily cases for Wednesday adding to Tuesday's 58K cases; not good. The 7-day MA is up to 41K cases per day ramping higher. Oh no. Japan reports 70K daily cases for Wednesday adding to the 67K cases on Tuesday. At least South Korea shows a minor backing-off of cases over the 2-day period but Japan shows a further increase. Japan is in covid trouble and they better figure it out fast. The 7-day MA for Japan's daily new cases is over 50K cases per day going parabolic. Thwack. Malaysia is hit with 4K daily new cases the most since August. The 7-day MA for Malaysia cases is up to 3.4K cases per day ramping sharply higher. Malaysia, you have a covid problem. What's your plan? What  variant/s are at play. Chop chop. Indonesia is smacked with 4.9K cases the most since August and its 7-day MA ramps higher to 3.7K. Indonesia, you have a covid problem. Europe remains on the mend. It is comical to read news stories that say the infections are increasing in Europe. Don't these jackasses even look at the charts to see if what they are saying is correct? No, they don't. It is likely fear-mongering to promote vaccinations as winter approaches. Germany is recovering from the current infection wave with cases dropping but still at elevated levels with 79K cases on Wednesday or 24% of the total COVID-19 cases in the world; 1 in 4. Japan accounts for 21% of the new cases in the world or 1 in 5. South Korea accounts for 16% of the new covid cases or 1 in 6. The United States and Taiwan each account for 10% of the new covid cases worldwide or 1 in every 10 new cases. Thus, 81% of the new covid cases, 4 out of every 5, are occurring in only 5 countries; Germany, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and the USA. Why are the nations that have populations vaccinated like pincushions struggling with the high case counts? The remaining 19% of new covid cases, 1 in 5, are occurring in the other 195 countries on earth.

Note Added Friday Morning, 11/4/22, at 5:00 AM EST: China's China Virus mess worsens.  Daily cases are at 5-month highs in the thousands and the Zhengzhou region, that includes the large Foxconn facility, is in a stricter lockdown. The production of Apple's  iPhones will decrease as Christmas approaches. A 3-year old Chinese boy dies in lockdown fueling more rage among citizens that are fed-up with the draconian lockdowns and covid measures imposed by Dictator Xi and his CCP henchmen over the last 3 years. The dead boy's father opines that the only life his son knew was the pandemic.

Note Added Friday Morning, 11/4/22, at 6:00 AM EST: The US reports  34K  daily new cases for Wednesday and the 7-day MA is at 33K cases per day starting to move sideways with a downward bias rather than a solid down move. 281 Americans are dying from COVID-19 each day the average moves back above 2 hundo. It is surprising that the death rate is not coming down more substantively. The deaths are disproportionately old folks that have multiple ailments including covid. US hospital admissions for those over 70 years old are important and unfortunately moving flat sideways instead of down. If you are over 60 years old, take vitamins daily and eat healthy meals. Discuss a preventive regimen with your healthcare providers. A good start is taking vitamins C, D-3, zinc and turmeric for your overall health going into the winter season. New Jersey reports 2.1K daily new cases which will pull the 7-day MA trendline at 2.0K cases per day higher; not good. The fastest growing variants in the Garden State are BQ1 and BQ11. For New Jersey and New York, BQ is 24% of new COVID-19 infections, 1 in 4, while the BQ11 variant accounts for 19% of new covid infections or 1 in 5. The BQ variants combined account for 43%, may as well call it one-half, or 1 in 2, of the daily new cases occurring in New Jersey and New York. The COVID-19 booster vaccine effectiveness will be measured in New Jersey in the coming days and couple weeks. Medical officials continue preaching doom and gloom on tap this Fall (fear-mongering to encourage vaccinations) because people are not taking the bivalent booster shots, not wearing masks, becoming more lax and care-free among crowds both indoors and at events, and the new variants are increasing. Worry, schmorry. You only live once. New Jersey is the poster child for a potential new infection wave 8 in the United States so give it a few days to see how it goes. On Monday, the Saturday daily new cases will be known for Jersey and that number will compare directly back to the spike in cases at 3.9K the previous Saturday.

Note Added Friday Morning, 11/4/22, at 7:00 AM EST: China will allow the use of the BioNTech vaccine on ex-pats (foreigners) living in the communist nation. German Chancellor Scholz made the announcement and said he hopes it leads to wider use of the vaccine across the mainland. Germany's BioNTech and China's Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical are partners in the development of covid vaccines and treatments. In other words, the Germans are willingly giving up their technology to the communists while they use the ex-pats as guinea pigs. Scholz kneels and kisses Xi's feet.

Note Added Friday Afternoon, 11/4/22: Pfizer and BioNTech proclaim that the new Fall covid booster shot is more effective than prior jabs. Big Pharma is talking its own book what a surprise; not. The study of the vaccine, by the folks that make and sell the vaccine, says antibodies are greatly improved for folks over 55 years old. That is great but higher antibodies may or may not correlate to protection. The study is small only 76 people. Whitehouse COVID-19 coordinator Dr Jha cheerleads the news proclaiming that the results were "way better than I was expecting" adding "this is a pretty substantial upgrade." Dr Jha is the Music Man leading the parade of 76 Trombones played by Big Pharma's marching band.

Note Added Saturday Morning, 11/5/22, at 4:00 AM EST: The world reports 378K daily new covid cases for Thursday and the 7-day MA continues the downtrend at 300K cases per day. Singapore is on the mend with daily new cases dropping like a rock to 3.8K per day. Taiwan remains on the mend with daily cases dropping to 30K per day heading sharply lower. Taiwanese deaths remain elevated with 66 folks dying each day from China Virus. South Korea's daily new cases ramp higher at 46K per day; not good. Japan's daily new cases ramp higher at 50K per day; not good. Interestingly, 87% of South Koreans are fully vaccinated but the new outbreak continues. As the COVID-19 cases increase in Japan and South Korea, the two nations resume their joint regular ferry service. The Queen Beetle ferry and other boats were halted due to covid but the transportation services start again as both countries face new infection waves. Figure that one out. Sadaharu Oh, 82, the professional baseball homerun record leader in Japan is hospitalized with covid. Officials say the BF7, BQ11 and XBB variants are increasing in South Korea and Japan. In addition, a new BM111 variant, that is a sublineage of the BA275 series, appears in Indonesia and Singapore. Indonesia reports 5K cases for Thursday the most since August and the 7-day MA is up to 4K cases per day; not good. Oh no. Malaysia reports 4.7K daily new cases for Thursday the most since August and the 7-day MA is going parabolic at 3.6K cases per day; terrible news. South Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, and of course China, are sinking further into the covid quagmire. The Philippines remains calm with no sign of increasing daily cases. Chile's 7-day MA trendline for daily new cases rolls over to 4.7K cases per day heading lower a great development. The big COVID-19 trouble is in Asia right now.

Note Added Saturday Morning, 11/5/22, at 5:00 AM EST: The US EXCEEDS 1.098 MILLION TOTAL COVID-19 DEATHS A GRIM MILESTONE. People yawn. The US EXCEEDS 99.6 MILLION TOTAL CHINA VIRUS INFECTIONS. This represents 1 in 3 Americans officially identified as contracting COVID-19 but the CDC and others estimate that over 80% of the population has likely been infected with coronavirus (asymptomatic cases not reported, positive tests not reported, inaccurate records, etc...). The US reports 30K daily new cases for Thursday and the 7-day MA is flattening-out at 30K cases per day. There must be new infections at play in the United States since the downtrend is stalling. Let's look at the canaries in the covid coal mine. New Jersey reports 2.4K cases for Thursday and the 7-day MA is up to 2.1K cases per day and rising; not good. New York reports 5.4K daily new cases for Thursday the most in 3 weeks. The new infections are not expanding out of control but instead creating a steady baseline of illness. Too bad the Biden administration and CDC are incompetent at getting Paxlovid to the elderly poor, and folks in nursing homes, within a few days of a positive covid test. Maine and New Hampshire, that likely got infected from Canada, remain on the mend and the virus has not spread to neighboring Vermont and Massachusetts; great news. Illinois, Virginia, Maryland and West Virginia display a subtle rise in daily new cases but nothing drastic as yet. Thwack, New Mexico reports 764 daily new cases for Thursday the most since August. Navajo Nation is having a tough time handling the covid outbreak. The Farmington Daily Times reports that 687 new covid cases occur over the last day (so Navajo Nation is responsible for most of the new covid cases in New Mexico) with 5 new deaths over the last week. The deaths are likely older Native Americans that did not receive Paxlovid right away. Navajo Nation officials are hoping they can increase the participation in vaccinations. The United States remains in great shape with wave 7 in the rearview mirror but the daily cases are pesky favoring a sideways to sideways down posture instead of a solid move lower. A hairy eyeball is fixated on New Jersey, New Mexico, Illinois, Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia and Kentucky.

Note Added Saturday Afternoon, 11/5/22: There are fewer television news stories about COVID-19 with each passing day. Americans have moved on with life. Dr Fauci opines about 400 Americans dying per day from COVID-19, or about 2,600 per week, proclaiming, "We're still in them middle of this--it is not over. Four hundred deaths per day is not an acceptable level." No sh*t, Sherlock. Hey, jackass, aren't you supposed to be one of the people in charge of not making that happen? Yes, he is. Beat it, pal. Fauci's retirement cannot come early enough. Go hire yourself some good lawyers for your retirement, buddy. Thanks for nothing.

Note Added Saturday Evening, 11/5/22:  In China, dirtbag Dictator Xi has no plans on altering his failed zero-covid strategy. The US and world stock markets rallied last week on rumors that the the zero-covid rules would be softened. Chinese health officials shoot-down the rumors instead proclaiming that the zero-covid policy is "completely correct" and will continue "unswervingly." Stocks are likely headed for more volatility in the week ahead. Media and others are commenting on the ten-dollar college world 'unswervingly'. It is a word that is rarely spoken or written, if ever, in English. Instead, the translator can say that the zero-covid policy will 'continue unimpeded'. Or 'continue uninterrupted'. Or 'Chinese officials are unyielding in the pursuit of zero-covid' or 'officials are resolute in their pursuit of zero-covid'. The strategy is wrong but at least they can improve the message. Hong Kong hosts a rugby tournament this weekend proclaiming to the world that it is back in business. Filthy Hong Kong chief executive John Lee, who spends his weekends under Xi's desk, just like Carrie Lam, decrees, "Hong Kong always bounces back, better than ever." The dirty communist is trying to maintain Hong Kong as a financial hub for Asia but after the takeover of the city by the mainland, turning it into just another dirtbag commie town like Beijing and Shanghai, has chased away the international bankers now setting up shop in Singapore and Tokyo. The Hong Kong reopening and rugby games are a Potemkin Village, a phony show of reopening, because there are still draconian covid rules in place and masking is required. Never trust a filthy lying communist. Too bad the Chinese folks have no choice in life except to live under Xi's dictatorial and totalitarian rule.

Note Added Sunday Morning, 11/6/22, at 4:00 AM EST: The world reports 275K daily new cases for Friday and the 7-day MA is down to 295K cases per day. Global covid deaths remain pesky at 1.1K per day having a difficult time breaking under 1K bodies per day. Singapore and Taiwan are on the mend. South Korea's daily new cases are averaging 43K per day heading higher. Ditto Japan at 54K cases per day. Ditto Indonesia at 4.2K cases per day. Ditto Malaysia at 3.8K covid cases per day. China reports over 4.4K daily new cases the most since early May (6-month high). The communists lie about the numbers not counting the asymptomatic cases and playing other games so the infections are likely 3 to 5 times or more higher probably 12K to 25K cases per day). These five nations are the global China Virus hotspots. France, Italy and Germany continue improving but daily new cases continue running between 30K and 40K for each which keeps the world's cases buoyant. Chile reports 7.6K daily new cases for Friday, 11/4/22, an elevated number with the 7-day MA at 5.0K cases per day and dropping. The 7.6K daily cases are not welcome but are below the 8.3K cases peak on 10/27/22 the prior Thursday. It is good news that 8 days have passed and cases are not exceeding the 11/4/22 peak. Japan and South Korea may peak with daily cases any day forward judging from past behavior. Europe is on the mend. In a week or two, the world may be in fantastic shape at beating down the near 3-year COVID-19 pandemic demoting it to endemic status. The United States is a wildcard for a Fall outbreak but so far, so good.

Note Added Sunday Morning, 11/6/22, at 5:00 AM EST: It is great to see that the US daily new cases are not showing any increase as yet and we are in November. The prior nasty wave 3 started in early October and the tragic wave 6 (BA1 variant big sister wave) began in late October. The daily new cases data do not show a rise so there is no sign of a wave 8 yet.  Wave 3 peaked in early January 2021 so it ran higher for 3 months. Wave 6 peaked in early January 2022 and took 2-1/2 months for the run-up a slightly shorter time frame (12 weeks versus 10 weeks). Thus, if a wave 8 started now, it would likely run higher with daily cases increasing each day until early February 2023. We don't want or need that. Each day that daily cases do not move higher is another reason for a wave 8 to not occur. That said, the US daily cases have started to favor a sideways to sideways down posture instead of a solid sharper down move. America reports only 21K cases for Friday great news since Friday's are typically big numbers. Last Friday was 44K cases so the drop is by over one-half comparing Friday to Friday. The 7-day MA for US daily cases drops to 27K cases per day and the lower numbers from last Sunday forward will factor into the moving average calculation sending it lower. New Jersey reports 1.9K cases for Friday with the 7-day MA drifting sideways at 1.4K cases per day. Jersey shows signs of hope with a big test on tap tomorrow. The peak day thus far for the new bump in infections is 10/29/22, last Saturday, at 3.9K cases. The daily cases will be known for New Jersey for Saturday, 11/5/22, tomorrow morning, and as long as they are under 3.9K the path ahead will improve. New Mexico's daily covid cases are rising at about 500 per day most infections are in the Navajo Nation. Why can't the US government organize a group of doctors and nurses, with a crate of Paxlovid, to go into Navajo Nation and help those folks? Probably because they are incompetent. Virginia, Maryland, Kentucky and Illinois look fine with no drastic increases in daily cases occurring. Keep your fingers crossed that the potential wave 8 will remain pals with Godot. It is also encouraging news that the prior disastrous Fall/winter waves 3 and 6 started in October with a noticeable increase in daily new cases. This behavior is not repeated in the US for October 2022 and the second week of November is beginning. Also from the good news department, the government is not receiving any requests for PPE (personal protective equipment; masks, gowns, face shields, etc...) and ventilators from its stockpiles. In real-time, US hospitals are swamped with regular flu and RSV illnesses more so than COVID-19 infections. The elderly in the United States and around the world continue to get cut down by China Virus especially those with underlying health problems. Despite the rise in non-covid respiratory illnesses in America (flu and RSV), people in western Pennsylvania are walking around maskless. There are a few individuals wearing masks here and there and those can be assumed to have weakened immune systems or are receiving cancer treatments (that lower immunity). America is done with masks and as Mr T says, "I pity the fool" that wants to reimplement draconian rules and mandates on Americans again.

Note Added Sunday Morning, 11/6/22, at 6:00 AM EST: CDC Director Walensky has not released any additional information on her  COVID-19 illness. She should be finishing a second regimen of Paxlovid, if she took it, and recovering from her rebound case. Walensky received the 'up-to-date' Fall booster shot and when it was supposed to be at maximum effectiveness and protection at about 4 weeks, she got covid. The Whitehouse selling point for vaccines was telling people to take the booster shot by Halloween since they will be at maximum protection from covid for Thanksgiving Day. So much for that. The so-called covid vaccines are better described as 'COVID-19 symptom-reduction shots' or 'covid death prevention shots'.

Note Added Sunday Evening, 11/6/22: Apple cuts production targets for the iPhone due to the covid troubles at the Foxconn (Hon Hai) plant. Apple confirms what everyone saw coming a mile away. The facility is enormous with 200K workers the equivalent of about four American football stadiums of people. They manufacture and assemble, mainly assemble, iPhones and other Apple gadgets. You do not have to be an Einstein to know trouble was brewing. If the hundreds of workers climbing the fences around the facility to leave and go home (Foxconn is in a closed-loop lockdown) did not tip Apple off to trouble ahead perhaps the rumor that 20K workers have tested positive for COVID-19 will get CEO Cook's attention. China will continue driving the zero-covd bus unswervingly until it swerves and hits a tree.

Note Added Monday Morning, 11/7/22, at 4:00 AM EST: The world reports only 231K daily new covid cases for Saturday and the 7-day MA is down to 289K cases per day. The global covid death rate is 1,073 bodies per day. South Korea's new infection wave continues higher at 43K cases per day. South Korean Prime Minister Han Duck-soo opines that the daily cases may reach 200K per day similar to the summer infection wave but remain well below the worst wave. Damn. Japan reports 74K daily new cases for Saturday a horrible number the most in 7 weeks and the 7-day MA is starting to go parabolic at 57K cases per day. Japan's active covid cases (bell-curve) chart is at 2.1 million people the most of the pandemic. It is terrible news. Japan is in bad shape with 32%, or one-third, 1 in 3, new COVID-19 cases in the world occurring in the island nation. Wow. One-half of covid cases worldwide are occurring in Japan and South Korea two major global covid hotspots. Japanese officials are encouraging citizens to get vaccinated. The XBB, BQ1 and BQ11 variants are making mischief. Japan,  like the United States, is seeing a slow uptake of the booster vaccines. Only 6% of Japanese have rolled up their sleeves to take the booster. Hopefully, Japan will peak-out with daily new cases in quick order. The US does not want Japan's covid ugliness to reach American shores. Japan's covid death rate curls higher at 55 bodies per day and the total China Virus deaths cross the 47K grim milestone. Indonesia's new infection wave continues higher at 4.4K cases per day. Malaysia reports 4.6K daily new cases for Saturday the most in 3-1/2 months; not good. Malaysia's 7-day MA for daily cases is going parabolic at 3.9K cases per day starting to test the peak levels of the summer wave; not good. Singapore and Taiwan are on the mend but Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia and China are sinking into the covid ooze. China reports 5.5K cases another high not seen since May. Just think how large the case numbers are if the CCP told the truth. Dictator Xi's zero-covid strategy is obviously not working. The world needs these five nations to cooperate to transition from pandemic to endemic.

Note Added Monday Morning, 11/7/22, at 5:00 AM EST: The United States reports only 8.4K daily new cases for Saturday single-digits. Everyone is feeling groovy about lower cases and the covid threat diminishing. The 7-day MA trendline is down to 24K cases per day. Sunday's cases should be lower so perhaps 2 days of single-digits are on tap this weekend. There is no sign of a wave 8 yet. 190 Americans continue dying from COVID-19 each day. The big test for New Jersey is on tap since the Saturday cases are known coming in at 1,972 cases; great news. The peak for the mini-bump in infections in New Jersey is 3.9K cases on 10/29/22 (the prior Saturday) so cases dropping by one-half week-on-week is delightful. The 7-day MA for Jersey covid cases is flatlining at 1.8K cases per day and will hopefully roll over in the days ahead. The big 3.9K spike in cases in New Jersey was worrisome but so far it turns out to be a pig in a poke. New Mexico's infections continue higher. Navajo Nation needs some help. Cases bump higher in West Virginia but remain small numbers. Illinois, Virginia, New York, Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Missouri and Maryland do not show any sign of cases moving higher. Covid conditions are also calm in the southern states such as Alabama, Arkansas and Louisiana. The United States looks great in saying goodbye pandemic hello endemic, however, a hairy eyeball must be maintained on New Jersey, New Mexico and West Virginia. There is no sign of rising COVID-19 infections in the US currently so the potential wave 8 remains pals with Godot and let's keep it that way (it/he will never arrive).

Note Added Monday Afternoon, 11/7/22: Republican Am radio talk show host Mike Gallagher, fully vaccinated, contracts COVID-19. His home is made into a studio where he can still broadcast the show and remain isolated. He was sick with covid a few months ago. Gallagher says his symptoms are mild but he does not sound good. His throat is sore sounding similar to Walensky's hoarse voice. Covid must give folks a nasty sore throat these days. Spraying the throat with colloidal silver spray will help. Gallagher commented that his doctor gave him a small little spray bottle for his throat and it was silver. Keystone has used colloidal silver for decades. If you can feel the tickle of something starting in your throat, spray it with colloidal silver and it will improve. Doctors do not tell patients about silver instead they prescribe pills and antibiotics that keep the wheels of America's drug and surgery model spinning round and round. Ka-ching. Check with your healthcare provider that will likely tell you that silver spray is okay but do not overdo it.

Note Added Tuesday Morning, 11/8/22, at 5:00 AM EST: The world reports 211K daily new cases adn the 7-day MA is 293K cases per day heading lower. South Korea is averaging 43K cases per day moving higher but the rate of increase is slowing. Japan is a covid mess with daily cases parabolic at 49K cases per day. Japan reports over 2.1 million active covid cases the most of the pandemic. Indonesia's and Malaysia's new infection waves travel higher. Chile's new infection waver remains erratic drifting along at 5.6K cases per day.

Note Added Tuesday Morning, 11/8/22, at 5:30 AM EST: Today is Election Day in the States. The weekend daily new cases numbers are in and the revisions over the last few hours bump the numbers higher which is concerning. Saturday is 17K daily new cases and Sunday is 49K cases. On the positive side, the weekend covid cases are in the teens each day. The 7-day MA is at 24K covid cases per day and dropping. 169 Americans are dying from covid each day. There remains no sign of a potential Fall wave 8 yet. Keep those fingers and toes crossed. Dr Paul Offit, an immunization expert and FDA adviser, one of the two dissenting votes on the Fall booster shot, speaks out about the effectiveness of the new jab to The Philadelphia Inquirer. Offit says the vaccine is safe but disagrees with the cookie-cutter recommendation that every American over 5 years old take the new jab. Is it group-think? He cautions that vaccines should not be oversold to the public because that may lead to skepticism if the shots do not live up to the hype. He promotes healthy and civil discussions and even disagreement in the scientific community to make sure the best ideas are implemented. Offit opines that "science is losing its place as a source of truth."

Note Added Wednesday Morning, 11/9/22, at 9:00 AM EST: The world reports only 201K daily new COVID-19 cases the lowest since June 2020 in the early weeks of the pandemic. 1,005 earthlings are dying per day from China Virus a whisker away from dropping below 1K. South Korea's daily new cases are 43K per day trying to flatten-out. Japan's daily cases are parabolic averaging 63K per day but only reports 33K cases for Monday. Perhaps Japan can peak-out with daily cases in the days ahead. Japan reports over 2.2 million active covid cases a pandemic record.

Note Added Wednesday Morning, 11/9/22, at 9:30 AM EST: The US reports only 15K cases for Monday and the 7-day MA trendline is down to 21K covid cases per day testing the June 2021 and June 2020 lows. Great news. 135 Americans are dying per day from covid with the death rate starting to drop at a faster rate. It's about time. The United States has not seen the death rate that low since March 2020. The endemic smell in the air is starting to overpower the pandemic stench. New Mexico's daily new cases continue higher at nearly 600 cases per day. Can someone send help into Navajo Nation? Overall, the world is looking good for COVID-19 endemic status if China, South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia and Chile cooperate. Three years of pandemic tragedy and misery is enough. Time to more forward with the endemic malaise.

Note Added Wednesday Afternoon, 11/9/22: President Biden speaks about Election Day and in the middle of the talk proclaims, "The pandemic no longer controls our lives."

Note Added Thursday Morning, 11/10/22, at 3:00 AM EST: The world reports 350K daily new cases for Tuesday with the 7-day MA at 299K cases per day. 1,019 earthlings continue dying from covid each day. World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, try to fit that on a business card, says there is reason to be optimistic about the pandemic with a -90% drop in the world deaths since February, but urges continued vigilance and caution. Dr Tedros proclaims, "We have come a long way, and this is definitely cause for optimism. But we continue to call on all governments, communities and individuals to remain vigilant. Almost 10,000 deaths a week is 10,000 too many for a disease that can be prevented and treated." Tedros says 629 million covid cases have occurred in the world with 6.5 million deaths which generally agrees with the Worldometer data at 639 million infections worldwide and 6.6 million deaths. The Johns-Hopkins data is at 634 million cases worldwide and 6.6 million deaths. WHO epidemiologist Maria Van Kerkhove says COVID-19 is "still a pandemic and it's circulating quite rampantly around the world." The WHO identifies the global hotspots as Japan, South Korea, US, Germany and China. They are correct with Japan, South Korea and China but should have also highlighted Malaysia, Indonesia and Chile. Covid cases are decreasing in the US and Germany not increasing. There are several incorrect news articles, from reputable organizations, talking about cases rising in Europe and the United States. The outbreaks in Germany, France and Italy have been in a downtrend with daily new cases for the last month. Italy, however, is playing games with their data not reporting numbers over the last week.

Note Added Thursday Morning, 11/10/22, at 3:30 AM EST: Oh no. South Korea reports 62K daily new cases for Tuesday accounting for 18% of the new cases worldwide; 1 in 6. Damn. Japan reports over 81K daily new covid cases for Tuesday accounting for 23% of the new cases worldwide; 1 in 4. South Korea and Japan together account for 41% of the new COVID-19 cases occurring around the world; 2 out of every 5 new cases worldwide are in only 2 countries. The lousy coronavirus news continues. Indonesia reports 6.6K daily new cases for Tuesday the most since March 2022. The 7-day MA for Indonesia's daily new cases is up over 5K cases per day rising sharply. Indonesia's covid death rate ramps higher at 37 souls per day. Malaysia reports 3.8K cases for Tuesday remaining below its peak day at 4.7K cases last Thursday. It will be great news if Malaysia's daily new cases remain below 4.7K over the next 3 days. Chile continues struggling with containing its current infection wave.

Note Added Thursday Morning, 11/10/22, at 4:00 AM EST: China's COVID-19 outbreak and zero-covid strategy remains a mess. Guangzhou, a major manufacturing hub, is in lockdown with most of the schools closed. Officials warn that the region may remain restrictive for several weeks. The Guangzhou lockdown will hurt the national and international economies. Chinese folks are fed-up with the draconian lockdowns and rules imposed by Dictator Xi and the CCP. The Foxconn (Hon Hai) facility, that assembles 80% of the new iPhone models, remains in lockdown with employees working, sleeping and eating in isolation. China is expanding the use of the inhalable aerosol CanSino vaccine named Convidecia Air.

Note Added Thursday Morning, 11/10/22, at 4:30 AM EST: Happy Birthday to the US  Marine Corps. Semper Fi. The US EXCEEDS 99.8 MILLION TOTAL COVID-19 CASES AND 1.099 MILLION DEATHS GRIM MILESTONES. People yawn. The 100 million total covid cases milestone is within sight. The US reports 28K cases for Tuesday and Monday's cases are bumped a touch higher to 25K cases. It is not good to see revisions occurring since it denotes that infections may be rising. Uncle Sam is walking on covid eggshells hoping a potential Fall wave 8 does not materialize. New Mexico covid cases continue ramping higher at over 600 cases per day. Most are in Navajo Nation. Daily new covid cases are ramping higher in Nevada. The sinful Las Vegas behavior creates a new infection wave. The numbers are small averaging 400 cases per day but ramping higher. Nevada will be added to the bad state list. Officials say the BF7 (BA5217) variant infections are increasing. Hopefully, as the tag-line brags, what goes on in Vegas will stay in Vegas. Nevada will serve as the poster child for the BF7 variant in America. BF7 is also creating trouble in China. Utah cases pop higher but the numbers are small and a few days old. The Nevada infections are rippling into Utah that needs to update its cases data. Damn. Cases in Arizona are now ramping higher at over 1K per day. Navajo Nation encompasses the top corners of New Mexico and Arizona so it was odd that cases were not rising in Arizona, but now they are. Cases bump higher in Idaho but they went to a once per week reporting schedule. The next update for Idaho should be for Wednesday, yesterday, so tomorrow morning's data release will shed light on Idaho's potential new outbreak. The New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Utah and Idaho cluster of states is a new area of concern for the United States that requires close monitoring. All will be added to the bad state list.

Note Added Thursday Morning, 11/10/22, at 5:00 AM EST: Scientists are studying Pfizer's anti-viral oral pill Paxlovid since it has been in wide distribution for several months. The data suggests that people taking blood thinners and cholesterol-lowering drugs (statins) should not take Paxlovid, or, like in the case of President Biden, the other medications are stopped or dosages lowered while taking Paxlovid. The doctors and healthcare providers will know what is best for each individual. Paxlovid is found to be a great benefit for folks over 65 years old reducing hospitalizations, deaths and long-covid, however, not as effective for young people. Some doctors are limiting Paxlovid use in young folks instead focusing on administering the oral drug to seniors. Anyone following the pandemic knows that the Paxlovid rebound cases are far more frequent than the initial 2% of cases referenced by scientists. Biden, First Lady Jill, Walensky, Fauci and even Pfizer CEO Bourla, all had Paxlovid rebound. It is obvious that rebound is occurring far more than 2% of the cases so the initial information provided to the public was wrong. The new estimates for the occurrence of Paxlovid rebound is that it appears in 10% to 30% of the users (about 1 in 3 Paxlovid users will experience rebound). The study does not discuss the timeframes that people took the drug which is important. Paxlovid needs to be started as soon as a positive covid test is confirmed preferably within the first 5 days. Scientists conclude that Paxlovid is a useful treatment for COVID-19 but is probably best prescribed for people over 50 years old and younger folks with underlying health conditions.

Note Added Thursday Afternoon, 11/10/22: President Biden plans to meet with Dictator Xi in Indonesia on Monday during an Asia trip. Indonesia is hosting G20 meetings in Bali. The two idiot leaders of the two largest economies in the world are traveling into a covid-infected nest (Indonesia). Biden contracted COVID-19 for the first time during a trip to Israel months ago. CDC Director Walensky tweets that she has recovered from her covid illness.

Note Added Friday Morning, 11/11/22, at 5:00 AM EST: The world reports 356K daily new cases for hump day an elevated number and Tuesday's cases are bumped higher to 364K; not good. The 7-day MA trendline for the world's daily cases is starting to favor a sideways move at 300K cases per day. This means there is likely more covid trouble occurring in Asia. 1,003 earthlings are dying per day from China Virus teasing that 1K souls per day level. Boom. Japan reports 87.4K daily new cases for Wednesday which is 25%, or 1 in 4, of the new covid infections occurring worldwide each day. The Japan Times reports that the new infection wave may surpass the last wave which was the worst of the pandemic and peaked at over 261K cases per day. Interestingly, the BA5 variant is the main culprit in Japan accounting for 40% of the cases. In Tokyo, 90% of the new infections are BA5. The BA5 waves around the world have not surpassed the worst waves so perhaps the projections of doom and gloom in Japan may be overstated. The Japanese government tells its 47 prefectures that they can declare a medical state of emergency if conditions become unmanageable. The edict would allow local governments to impose travel and other restrictions on the public. Nearly 100 Japanese die from COVID-19 on Wednesday the most in almost 6 weeks. South Korea's covid outbreak continues with a couple days of 63K daily cases and the 7-day MA is up to 46K cases per day climbing higher. 59 South Koreans die from China Virus on hump day the most in 7 weeks. Indonesia's new infection wave climbs higher at 5.2K cases per day. World leaders descend on Indonesia for the G20 meetings flying into a covid-infected nest. Malaysia's infection wave continues at 3.7K cases per day. Covid cases are tiny numbers in Philippines but there is the start of a move higher over the last week from about 700 cases per day to over 1.2K cases per day.

Note Added Friday Morning, 11/11/22, at 6:00 AM EST: COVID-19 cases hit record numbers in Beijing. China remains a coronavirus mess but the communists ease the covid restrictions. The quarantine time for inbound travelers is shortened by 2 days. Travelers are isolated at the hotel for 5 days then at home or at their destination for another 3 days. It is more of the CCP's smoke and mirrors. What idiot wants to travel to China to spend over a week in isolation? Nonetheless, China-associated stocks jump higher from 5% to 15% on the slight relaxation of the failed zero-covid strategy. Hong Kong stocks leap +8% higher. COVID-19 infections are at a 6-month high in China. Just think how bad the conditions are if the CCP actually told the truth. The world's covid hotspots are Japan, South Korea, China, Indonesia and Malaysia with a hairy eyeball on Philippines. Singapore and Taiwan remain on the mend.

Note Added Friday Morning, 11/11/22, at 6:30 AM EST: China Virus makes its way to Antarctica. Science magazine reports that 64 of the 900 residents at the McMurdo Station, the largest research facility in Antarctica, are sick with COVID-19.

Note Added Friday Morning, 11/11/22, at 7:00 AM EST: Happy Veterans Day! The US reports 99,859,908 total covid infections during the pandemic and at about 32K cases per day, it will take another 4-1/2 days to hit the dreaded 100 million total China Virus cases milestone. Wow; that is a lot of infected Americans. The US reports 1,099,856 total covid deaths and should exceed 1.1 million dead covid bodies today or tomorrow. The US reports 37K daily new cases for Wednesday an elevated number hinting that more trouble may be occurring in the southwestern states. The 7-day MA is favoring a sideways to sideways down bias at 32K daily new cases per day. The US active covid cases are also starting to favor a sideways posture instead of down at 1.39 million. Boom. New Mexico reports nearly 900 new cases for Wednesday. Utah reports 608 cases for hump day the most since August. Arizona's daily cases are at over 1K per day. A week ago the big worry was the northeastern states but they appear fine without any notable rise in cases. The elevated 37K cases for Wednesday are interesting since it is difficult to point to one or a few states as causing the trouble. Instead, there are 3 dozen states that report small increases in infections and that is enough to nudge the 7-day MA trendline for daily new cases from the 23K to 29K cases per day range to the 28K to 33K cases per day range. Is it the start of the ominous wave 8 that the scientists and medical pundits are worried about or just a simple nudge higher in cases for a few days or week or two as Americans move indoors due to the cooler weather?

Note Added Friday Morning, 11/11/22, at 7:30 AM EST: FDA Commissioner Robert Califf, MD, tests positive for COVID-19. Califf is isolating at home with mild symptoms. Of course, Califf is vaccinated like a pincushion. Delaware Senator Tom Carper tests positive for covid and cancels plans to attend the COP27 climate change summit in Egypt. He is fully vaccinated, boosted and now isolating at home. CDC Director Walensky recovers from her two bouts of COVID-19 a day ago and of course she is multiple-vaccinated receiving the new booster only 4 weeks before she got sick with covid exactly when the shot is supposed to provide maximum protection.
