The march, or stumble, from the pandemic to endemic phase
continues. The United States is a covid bright spot in the world as the
beat-down on wave 7 continues. The question is how low can the US daily new
cases (infections), active cases, hospital admissions, hospitalizations and
above-all, deaths, drop?
All five US parameters listed are trending nicely lower as
wave 7 ends but will they fall far enough to proclaim the birth of the endemic
phase and time to pass out the pink and blue end-of-covid cigars? The concern by many
scientists is that the European COVID-19 infections will migrate to America
creating a new US wave 8. Therefore, across the pond is a good place to start
with the charts.
France’s daily new cases chart is shown above. 43K daily new
cases are reported for Sunday (the daily cases data is running 2 days behind
real-time so Sunday’s cases are known on Tuesday) and the 7-day MA continues
higher at 56K cases per day. The peak for the current infection wave is 89K
cases on Tuesday, 10/4/22, so today’s number, that will be known Thursday
morning, will tell the tale in France.
France’s daily new cases for today need to be below the 89K
peak from last Tuesday. If so, the new infection wave will likely be
short-lived and roll over lower. If the cases for today exceed 89K, the
European infection waves will worsen and the world will be stuck in the
pandemic phase a while longer.
European officials report that the bulk of the new
infections remain BA4/BA5 which is good news that there is not a nasty variant
that is exploding in transmissibility. The data hints that the new wave in
Europe may be mostly due to the August vacation period that trickles into
September.
The increased population mixing as Europeans went on holiday
may be the root cause of the new waves. Also, the German beer parties during
the Oktoberfest season increase the infection rate. Men have their priorities
and the desire to hug and kiss the pretty girls in their dirndl dresses
overtakes the fear of contracting covid; by a long shot.
Italy’s daily new cases chart is shown above. Italy reports
34K daily new cases for Sunday and the 7-day MA continues higher at 41K cases
per day. It is good that daily numbers come in lower than the 7-day MA because
this activity will pull the moving average lower.
Italy is in the same covid boat as France with its peak for
the current infection wave at 59K cases last Tuesday, 10/4/22. Today’s daily
new cases for Italy, that will be known Thursday morning, must be below 59K for
Europe to have hope that the new wave will quickly burn itself out.
Germany’s daily new cases chart is shown above. The German
data reporting methodology takes an odd turn since the nation reports daily
cases for Saturday through Wednesday in a big chunk then individual days for
Thursday and Friday. Therefore, the 7-day MA trendline has to be relied on and
it has gone parabolic at 105K cases per day as Germans sing, “99 Bottles ofBeer on the Wall.”
The big spike in the German cases for the new infection wave
is 174K last Thursday 10/6/22, so this Thursday’s cases, 10/13/22, that will be
known on Saturday, are a critical test to gauge the staying power of the new
wave.
The China Virus death rates in Europe are holding steady,
for now. Unfortunately, deaths lag cases so the news will worsen over time and
unfortunately, the morgues will likely become busier. The majority of new
infections in Europe are folks over 65 years old which can complicate a covid
recovery.
The data in the days ahead for France, Italy and Germany
will dictate if the European infection waves are a threat to the rest of the
world, or not. There has been a lot of media hype about increasing infections
in the UK but their data overall is hanging in there fine and flatlining.
Typically, the UK, as well as Europe, are harbingers for what is to come in the
United States in the following weeks.
However, the European COVID-19 threat remains contained in
central and eastern Europe and does not represent a new subvariant that is
exploding out of control. The fear that the European trouble will travel to
American shores may be overstated. In addition, the US is at a high level of
herd immunity which is a combination of the vaccination protection and natural
immunity from a prior infection. For now, the global trek to the endemic phase
continues but the ultimate outcome is in the hands of central Europe.
Taiwan’s daily new cases chart is shown above. Taiwan
reports 45K cases for Sunday and the 7-day MA is up to 46K cases per day; lousy
numbers. Mainland China’s cases are increasing with infections likely trickling
into the independent island nation of Taiwan. Also, some folks fleeing the
commie rule in Hong Kong are heading to Taiwan bringing covid along for the
ride.
The Taiwan COVID-19 death rate is going parabolic at 55
souls per day. Taiwan’s peak in cases for the current wave thus far is 55K last
Wednesday. Thus, the cases for this
Wednesday will tell a lot about Taiwan’s path forward (cases must come in below
55K on hump day for Taiwan to breathe easier).
Singapore’s daily new cases chart is shown above. Singapore
reports 4.8K daily new cases with the 7-day MA trendline going parabolic at
5.8K cases per day. Singapore relaxes travel restrictions over the last few
weeks which creates the new infection wave. The peak for the current wave is
7.1K cases last Tuesday so today’s cases (known on Thursday) are critical in
determining the path forward for Singapore.
This news is just crossing the wires. Scientists are
concerned about the XBB variant appearing in Singapore and Bangladesh. One case
also appears in Hong Kong. The
subvariants keep coming out of the woodwork. Singapore officials remain
laissez-faire about the new infection wave citing that 90% of the population is
vaccinated. Hopefully, the Singaporean
officials are not whistling past the covid graveyard.
The world’s daily new cases chart is shown above. The planet
reports 237K cases for Sunday an encouraging number (anything under 400K cases
per day is a good number going forward). The 7-day MA for the world’s daily new
cases is at 431K cases per day trying to maintain a downward bias despite the
trouble in France, Italy, Germany and Taiwan.
The planet cannot be happy until daily new cases drop below
400K and then below 360K which will compare back to 2020 and signal that covid
has transitioned into the endemic phase. There is more work to do and those
four nations need to provide happy news in the days ahead to take the world to
the endemic phase.
The world’s daily new deaths chart is shown above. The 7-day
MA is down to 1,149 China Virus deaths per day for Mother Earth continuing the
slow path lower and comparing back to the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The global death rate is in the range where a nod to the endemic phase can
begin but it will be a much happier sight when the deaths drop below 1K per
day.
Note how deaths increase during waves 1 through 6 for the
world but the deaths drop for waves 7 and 8 and wave 9 is more of a sideways
profile. These are further hints that COVID-19 is moving towards the endemic
phase.

beautiful sight especially considering all the ups and downs over the last 34
months. Three years of everyone’s lives torn asunder. Americans drift aimlessly
on the covid sea of despair but an end to the pandemic voyage may be within sight.
Land Ho!
The US reports 9.1K cases for Sunday. Eureka! A single-digit
number for daily new cases in America. Wonderful news. It is a Sunday number
always the least cases for the week but it is a victory nonetheless. There were
19K cases on Saturday.
The 7-day MA for US daily new cases is down to 26K cases per
day taking out the March 2022 lows which, in technical analysis, is a big deal.
The United States COVID-19 cases now compare back to July 2021 a long 15 months
ago. Fantastic news. Sweet.
US cases need to drop to 10K per day to signal the endemic
phase so there is more work to do but Americans should remain happy and
optimistic that the China Virus wave 7 is appearing in the rearview mirror.
The US active cases chart is shown above. US active cases
are down to 1.7 million heading for a 1.6-handle. The coveted bell shape is in
all its glory proving that wave 7 is toast. Dropping below 1.2 million would
take out the April 2022 lows but most importantly, a drop below 730K active
cases will take out the July 2021 low and signal that the endemic phase is in
play going forward.
The US daily deaths chart is shown above. The US COVID-19
deathrate remains at about 300 bodies per day month after month. It is a
glaring failure of the Biden administration to not bring the death rate lower
during the entire year. The wealthy class in America realizes their arses are
not in serious covid danger anymore so they do not give a sh*t about the poor
and elderly dying. Such is life.
The death rate needs to drop below 180 bodies per day to
compare to a regular flu season and signal the endemic phase. Some say the 120
to 150 deaths per day range is needed to be on par with flu so any number in
the 120 to 180 souls per day range would be cause for celebration, even though
the ongoing deaths represent families that will never be the same.
US hospital admissions continue trending lower as per the
CDC data and are cut in half from the peak 9 weeks ago. It is great to see the
admissions down substantively for the folks over 70 years old so Uncle John and
Aunt Maria will make it after all.
US hospitalizations continue trending lower to 22K as per
the CDC data that is a week old. Thus, hospitalizations may be sub 20K right
now. Hospitalizations are cut in half like the hospital admissions from the
peak 9 weeks ago at 40K down to 20K. Hospitalizations need to drop below 10K to
take out the April 2022 lows and signal the endemic phase so there is more work
to do.
The CDC Community Transmission map is a beautiful green
color with pockets of yellow. There are still orange high-risk counties at play
such as southern Texas where Biden’s border crisis lingers. Also, northern Maine is at high-risk for
COVID-19 infections.
77% of US counties are at low risk (green), 20% at medium
risk (yellow) and 3% high-risk (orange). This is great news and moves America
closer to the endemic phase.
The US vaccination rate is robust averaging 550K shots per
day. The Whitehouse and CDC should be happy. Americans have moved on from the
pandemic and the new booster shot is not top of mind for most people. Only
about 6% of the eligible people have taken the booster shot.
You have to laugh at the vaccination mess in America. In
this Halloween season, the scariest words you will ever here are, “We’re from
the government and we’re here to help.”
About 20% of the US population remains unvaccinated and the
other folks are either vaccinated with one shot and did not go back, two shots
completing the initial dose requirements, three shots (booster), four shots
(booster-booster) or five shots like Dr Fauci who just received his
booster-booster-booster on “The Late Show” hosted by comedian Stephen Colbert.
That is six different levels of vaccination status. How does
a scientist even judge the effectiveness of vaccines within such a messy
playing field? Take that six and raise it with six vaccine types including two
vaccine mixes from Pfizer/BioNTech (original and new booster), two mixes from
Moderna, the J&J vaccine and the Novavax vaccine.
The confusing and chaotic vaccination situation is out of control
with too many chefs stirring the covid pot. Humorously, Big Pharma is probably
developing the booster-booster-booster-booster covid shot (6th shot) for spring
2023 as Janitor Mike is carrying dead mice and discarded test data to the
incinerator out back.
The USA has the greatest number of total coronavirus cases
in the world at 98.6 million. India is next with 44.6 million total virus cases.
France, Brazil, Germany, South Korea, UK, Italy, Japan, Russia, Turkey, Spain, Vietnam,
Australia, Argentina, Netherlands, Iran, Mexico, Taiwan, Indonesia, Poland and
Colombia round out the top 22 worst nations for total COVID-19 cases. Over the
last 10 days, Poland muscles its way onto the list leapfrogging Colombia.
COVID-19 has infected 627 million people worldwide. China
(the CCP) owes reparations to the world for its sick heinous crime against
humanity. 6.56 million people on Earth are dead from the China Flu a grim
statistic. 607 million global citizens have recovered from the virus.
96.8% (607/627) of the people that become infected with COVID-19
recover in a reasonable time frame. The percentage has a slight upward bias
over the last few weeks great news for the planet.
Worldwide, 1.1% (6.56/627) of the people that are infected
with covid die; 1 in 96 (hit the 1/x button on your calculator). This number
was 1.2% for over a year so slippage to 1.1% for the last few months is great
news (less people are dying after they become infected compared to prior
waves).
8.2% (627/7670) of the world’s population of 7.67 billion
people have been infected with coronavirus; 1 in every 12 people on earth. 0.09%
of the world’s population (6.56/7670) died from the pandemic so far; 1 in every
1,169 people on earth died from China Virus over the last couple years.
In the United States, 98.6 million people have been infected
with covid. 1.088 million Americans are dead. 95.8 million Americans have
recovered from coronavirus. This equates to 97% (95.8/98.6) of US citizens recovering
after becoming infected with COVID-19. Those are good odds. Most of the
COVID-19 deaths are old or fat people and heaven help you if you are old and
fat.
In the US, 1.1% (1.088/98.6) of the people infected with COVID-19
die. 1 in every 91 US citizens that are infected with coronavirus die. 0.3% (1/330)
of Americans have died from COVID-19 which is 1 in every 303 Americans over the
last 2-1/2 years.
29.9% (98.6/330) of the American population of 330 million
people have been infected with covid. That is less than 1 in every 4 Americans
(3.4 to be exact so call it 2 in 7). It is likely 60%, or even 80% or more, of
the US population has been infected with the omicron and prior bugs and have
some level of natural immunity. Many cases are asymptomatic and others go
unreported.
The United States has 16% (98.6/627) of the COVID-19 cases
in the world. 1 in 6 people that become infected with covid on the planet are
Americans. The US vaccination program made an impact month’s ago, but not so
much in recent months.
The US accounts for 16.6% (1.088/6.56) of the China Flu
deaths in the world. 1 in 6 people that die from COVID-19 around the world are
Americans. 1-1/2 years ago, it was 1 in 5 so vaccinations helped.

The worldwide pandemic phase is trying to end but covid
trouble continues in Taiwan, Singapore, and central and eastern Europe. Coronavirus
wants to linger for a while longer.

couple years. The bad country list below is expanding again due to covid
trouble in Europe.

Europe dominates the bad country list and the trouble may only escalate going forward. Switzerland, Netherlands and other European nations require close monitoring to see if the virus is spreading. Liechtenstein should be on the bad list above but it is such a tiny nation that its infection wave should resolve quickly.
The UK is added to the bad country list but its wave is
minor and may only account to a little blip that resolves quickly. The week
ahead will tell the story. Of course, a happy outcome in the UK means the US
will likely not face new trouble into year-end.
Malaysia reports a big bump in cases on Saturday but it may
be a grouping of a few days of data. Nonetheless, it needs watched closely in
the days ahead. Indonesia and Philippines are okay with no sign of trouble. New
Zealand also shows a higher bias in daily cases so it needs watched to see if
cases worsen.
The path of the COVID-19 pandemic for the world can be
determined by the upcoming daily new cases numbers for seven nations. The peak
in daily cases is listed below for the seven countries and the cases one week
hence are key since they tell you if the trend higher will sustain, or not.
For France, the peak is 89K cases on 10/4/22 so today’s
(10/11/22) cases are key to see if the infection wave has juice (if cases come
in above 89K). There is a 2-day delay for the data so today’s numbers will not
be known until Thursday morning. Pray for sub 89K cases in France for today to
prove that Europe will not be a worry for the United States going forward.
Italy’s current peak is 59K cases on 10/4/22. Belgium’s peak
is 5.3K cases on 10/4/22. Singapore’s
peak is 7.1K cases on 10/4/22. Taiwan’s
peak is 55K cases on 10/5/22. Austria’s peak is 18.5K cases on 10/5/22.
Germany’s peak is 174K cases on 10/6/22. The cases one week after their peaks
must remain below the numbers listed to throw confetti. If the cases come in
hot and higher than the numbers listed, it is time to cry in your beer because
Europe is worsening and the infections will likely spread.
The US list bad state list that typically appears here is
gone and hopefully no longer needed. All 50 states show active cases curves
that are dropping. America is on the mend from wave 7. It is fantastic news.
Since scientists are concerned about the European infections
spreading to the States, a look at New Jersey, New York and other East Coast
states is in order to see if cases are bumping higher. The US states look fine.
Daily cases in Maine nudge higher but the numbers are small and not yet a
concern but the Lobster State may be a potential entry on the US bad list if it
comes back in the next article.
The Coronavirus Chronology is using 8 metrics to assess the
pandemic to endemic transition. (1) The world’s daily new cases should be below
360K per day to claim endemic status now at 431K per day. (2) The world’s daily
new deaths should be below 1.3K per day and they are at 1.1K so this is a win
for the endemic phase.
(3) For the United States to be in the endemic phase, the
daily new cases should be below 10K cases per day and are now at 26K per day. (4)
US active cases should be below 730K cases (at least below 1 million) now at 1.7
million. (5) The US COVID-19 death rate should be below 180 bodies per day now
at 300 souls per day.
(6) To declare the endemic phase in America, US
hospitalizations should drop below 10K patients and are now at 22K (as per old
data). (7) The CDC Community Transmission map should turn completely green and
yellow to usher in the endemic phase and 97% of US counties meet these criteria
with only 3% remaining in the high-risk zone.
(8) Lastly, the public needs to accept that the pandemic is
over and this is already in the endemic column since most Americans have
resumed their normal lives and ignore the COVID-19 news.
There is a lot more work to do to declare the endemic phase.
Only 2 of the 8 are in the endemic column; the world’s deaths and the public
accepting that the pandemic is over.
A lot depends on Europe so all eyes are focused on Germany,
France, Italy, Austria, Slovenia, Belgium, Poland and Czechia. The COVID-19
pandemic rests on the shoulders of the sick man of Europe. Good luck to all of
us.
There is a smorgasbord of subvariants at play around the
world including BA2, BA4, BA5, BA275, BA46, BF7, BQ11, BA210, XBB and probably
a few more this week. The scientists around the world are tracking dozens of
subvariants.
The warnings continue out of the UK about BQ11 but they
appear to have it under control with daily cases behaving themselves so far. Fortunately,
the new Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna booster vaccines help protect against BQ11
(because it is a subvariant of BA5). The booster shots may be helping the UK
keep the current trouble at bay.
Isn’t it interesting that one main COVID-19 bug wreaked
havoc for the early waves such as alpha, beta, delta and omicron, but now it is
dozens of subvariants and mutations and none pack the punch of the early
versions of coronavirus. Does this behavior hint that the endemic phase is
nigh?
The BA5 infections in the United States drop below 80% of
the new cases. BA46 sneaks a touch higher to 14% of the current cases in
America.
AstraZeneca’s new nasal treatment for COVID-19 falls short
of expectations in initial studies. A study published in the journal
eBioMedicine says only a minority of participants developed mucosal antibody
responses. On the positive side, the spray was tolerated well without side
effects. There are over a dozen different studies ongoing on COVID-19 nasal
inhalers.
Julian Assange, the WikiLeaks founder that spent 7 years seeking
asylum at the Ecuadorian embassy in London, tests positive for COVID-19 in his
prison cell at Belmarsh. Assange is said to be in poor health and the isolation
will only add to his woes.
Last month, California democrat Governor Newsom signed the asinine AB 2098 state bill that allows medical boards to take actions against doctors, including revoking their licenses, if they spread false information (about COVID-19). Obviously, the first question is who dictates what is righteous information and what is not? Certainly not jackass Newsom and his cronies. Americans forgot how to agree to disagree.
Dr’s Mark McDonald and Jeff Blake step up to the plate fling a federal lawsuit suing over the new law claiming it violates free speech rights as per the First Amendment. The medical profession is developing into a sick control freak cult that forces nurses and doctors to think, say and act a certain way, otherwise their jobs are in jeopardy. No wonder some young folks, that were interested in nursing, are saying Hell with it and instead going to work at the Amazon warehouse.
Note Added 6:30 PM EST: The study released by the Florida Department of Health the other day is receiving increased media attention. The study reports an 84% increase in the relative incidence of cardiac-related deaths among 18 to 39 year old men within 28 days after receiving a covid vaccination. The story is banned from Twitter bringing more attention to the study. Telling people not to look at something increases its popularity nowadays since folks know they are being lied to most of the time. Florida Surgeon General Dr Joseph Ladapo is at the center of the controversy and stands by the scientific study and results of the data analysis. The Whitehouse likely told Twitter to ban the study because they are trying to sell the new booster shotsto the American public and do not want a negative story about vaccination side effects in the media right now. Such is corrupt America. Dr Ladapo recommends that men under 40 years old do not take the covid vaccine. Ladapo just got crossed-off the Whitehouse Christmas card list.
Note Added Wednesday Morning, 10/12/22, at 4:00 AM EST: The world reports 339K daily new covid cases for Monday and the 7-day MA is moving sideways at 435K cases per day. Pesky Europe and Taiwan are keeping the world's cases elevated. 79 French die from China Virus on Monday the most in 2 months. France's infection wave continues higher. Ditto Italy but the boot-shaped nation reports only 15K cases for Monday an encouraging development. France has not reported Monday's number as yet. Thwack. The old man of Europe is punched in the face with Germany reporting a huge 173K daily new cases for Monday teasing the 174K cases peak high for the current wave on 10/6/22. All those beer parties must be resulting in lots of comingling under the sheets where the lovers are joined by COVID-19. The 7-day MA for Germany's daily new cases is parabolic at over 105K cases per day. The Deutschland is ugly with the current infection wave worse than the prior wave in June/July. Those cute ladies in their dirndl dresses are irresistible to the men wearing beer goggles. 185 Germans die from COVID-19 on Monday the most in a month. Austria reports 9K cases for Monday an encouraging number that will help to pull the 7-day MA trendline lower. Belgium reports only a couple thousand covid cases on Monday an encouraging development. There is hope that Europe's new infection waves will be short-lived but the only nation not cooperating is Germany. Put the stein down and go home, folks. Switzerland was the last domino to fall within the European infection zone shown on the map of Europe in Article 90. Switzerland is in a new infection wave and will be added to the bad country list above with cases at 4.7K per day and rising. Netherlands is hanging in there without any signs of trouble. Ditto Portugal and Spain. The UK has not updated their data for the last 8 days so the progress of their COVID-19 infections cannot be assessed. The new outbreaks across the pond remain a central Europe thing. Is it because the wealthier folks, or people that saved money, in France and Italy, went on vacation in August and early September, as they do each year, causing the current infection wave? Both countries have beautiful beaches so folks did not have to venture far. Is this why infections are not increasing in Portugal and Spain that have equally lovely beaches and vacation spots? In Germany, is the rise in infections mainly due to the Oktoberfest celebrations and increased public mixing and socialization? Can the trouble in central Europe be explained away that easily? If so, the infection waves should be short-lived.

US active cases are down to 1.66 million next stop a 1.5-handle. Americans are feeling better each day. The 7-day MA trendline for US deaths is down to 210 bodies per day but will it hold? The death rate should drop since deaths lag cases and daily cases have been in a downtrend for 2 months. It is hard for the elderly to shake COVID-19 and sometimes they don't. The US death rate should begin making headway down into that 120 to 180 deaths per day range which will put China Virus on par with the seasonal flu. The United States is looking bueno as wave 7 ends. Fauci and others are already warning that cases will probably ramp up again and peak in December and January. With all due respect to the eggheads, the current data is far more encouraging and the US may actually be rolling into the endemic phase for COVID-19 into year-end. It is very encouraging that the weather has been chilly in the northern states for the last month, with people spending more time indoors turning on the furnaces, and kids are physically back in schools, and yet daily covid cases continue steadily lower and wave 7 is ending. The two worst infection waves 3 and 6 started in the Fall. Wave 3 started in early September 2020. Wave 6 started in late October 2021. Thus, we already have not repeated the wave 3 fractal but the jury remains out if the wave 6 pattern will be repeated as Fauci and others suggest.

The BA46 subvariant is dubbed, "Aeterna." It just rolls off the tongue. Aeterna Noctis is a videogame so America's adult babies must have had a hand in choosing the nickname. BA46 accounts for 14% of the US cases currently and is most prevalent in the Midwest. The Evusheld treatment is not effective against BA46.

Covid-19 poses no serious threat to children under 18 years old. The kids that have died of coronavirus had other serious medical problems and/or were suffering from childhood obesity. A GlaxoSmithKline vaccine is extremely effective against RSV in drug trials and will likely receive FDA/CDC approval in the months ahead (there is no vaccine for RSV currently). A paper under review at the Journal of the American College of Cardiology says Pfizer's Paxlovid treatment for COVID-19 may cause deadly blood clots if used in conjunction with heart medications. Well, isn't that a fine how do you do? President Biden, First Lady Jill, Dr Fauci and many others have received Paxlovid and many older folks are likely taking heart meds. Talk to your doctor and healthcare providers to find out if you are at risk. Americans are Paxlovid guinea pigs. Today is a big day because the daily cases for Tuesday should be known for France, Italy, Singapore and Belgium all of which peaked in daily cases the prior Tuesday. We want to see daily new cases below the prior Tuesday which will indicate that the cases have peaked. The 503K cases is an elevated number so there is concern that the news may not be good in Europe. Sacrebleu! Damn it. France reports 96K daily new cases for Tuesday, 10/11/22, which surpasses the prior peak for the current infection wave at 89K cases on 10/4/22. It sucks. But, before sinking your head into open palms, it could have been worse. Being Mr Brightside, it is only a 6K higher move in cases from peak to peak. France cases were 74K on Tuesday, 9/27/22, so the trend for the peak days, that happen to fall on Tuesday each week, is 74K cases to 89K cases to 95K cases. The rate of change goes from an increase of 15K cases 2 weeks ago to only 6K cases increase over the last week. That is the optimistic argument. Overall, it was not the news hoped for so the next key data point will be a week from now when the Tuesday, 10/18/22, cases will be known and pray that they are below 95K. The French partying at the cafes need to put down the baguette and wine and go home. France was a bust so how about the others?

Italy's rate of change higher is also slowed but the overall news is lousy (rising cases and worsening infection waves). 80 Italians die from covid on Tuesday the most in a month. Belgium has not reported their Tuesday data as yet. The European infection waves worsen which is bad news for the world and the United States. The UK's data is a week old so there is no way of assessing their covid cases. Ditto the Ireland data. Spain, Portugal, Denmark and Netherlands are hanging in there with cases bumping sideways at low levels so the European outbreak remains mainly a central Europe problem. The US COVID-19 death rate remains stubborn at 250 bodies per day. America is on the mend but the medical talking heads begin the drumbeat of doom and gloom and warn of new covid trouble this Fall. An interesting and quirky article receiving attention on social media says people are complaining with higher frequency that their newly-purchased fragranced candles do not smell as much as they should. The article claims that the increased complaints correlate to another COVID-19 infection wave approaching (loss of smell) since they saw similar behavior during the pandemic. Sounds like voodoo science. Maybe the simple reason the candles do not smell as swell is because management is trying to squeeze more profit out of the candle-making company so they are not adding as much expensive fragrance liquid to the mix? Austria and Taiwan cases are key since the prior Wednesday was their peak in cases thus far. Austria reports 18.5K daily new cases matching the prior Wednesday's 18.5K peak in cases. It is lousy news that the number is high but good news that it did not surpass the prior peak high. Austria may be leveling-off in daily new cases that will hopefully roll over lower going forward. France reports 68K cases for hump day compared to Tuesday's terrible 95K peak in cases thus far. Italy reports 48K cases for hump day compared to Tuesday's terrible 66K peak in cases thus far. If that is our fate, it will manifest with daily cases rising by Halloween. For now, wave 7 is ending and cases remain in a steady downtrend. The Biden administration extends the COVID-19 public health emergency for another 90 days. Germany reported 173K cases on Monday, 10/10/22, so this number is also in the mix. For Thursday, Germany reports 114K daily new cases. It is positive news for Germany since it is a big 60K cases below the peak day for the current wave one week prior. The 7-day MA for Germany's daily new cases backtracks a touch from its parabolic move higher, now at 94K cases per day from over 100K per day a couple days ago. Worse news was expected so it is delightful that Germany's infection wave may be peaking right now in real-time. A North Carolina man, Greg Hahn, 47, appearing in court for potential jury duty selection, was tossed into jail for 24 hours on contempt charges for refusing to wear a mask. Liberal Judge Winston Charles Gilchrist imposes a mask mandate in the courtroom although there are no signs or notices saying same. The building does not require masks. Out of 98 potential jurors, Hahn, a US Navy vet, was summoned to the bench and jailed for not waring a mask. Ridiculous. A judge drunk with power wants attention. Other judges say Gilchrist is the only one that imposes a mask mandate in the courtroom. Hahn says, "The irony of all this is the judge was talking to me without a mask." The shame is that not one of the other 97 potential jurors in the room stood up for him. Hahn was the only true American remaining in a roomful of *ssholes. Singapore is in the covid spotlight as the BA210 (XBB) variant wreaks havoc multiplying quickly. Daily new cases are parabolic at over 8.4K cases per day. Singapore Health Minister Ong Ye Kung proclaims that the infection wave will peak by mid-November declaring, "This is likely to be a short and sharp wave." He warns that peak days ahead may reach 20 or 25K cases (15K cases per day for the 7-day MA; now at 8.4K cases per day and rising). The idiot says cases are starting to turn down and no longer accelerating higher. Hey jackass, the daily new cases are actually parabolic (rising vertically). Singapore officials say a mask mandate may be reinstated if conditions worsen and restaurant workers may be required to be vaccinated. The officials stress that covid is moving into the endemic phase and it is time to learn to live with the disease. BA210 (XBB) accounts for over one-half (54%) of the new infections in Singapore and starting to outcompete and dominate the other strains. 21% of the new infections are BA5 and 24% are BA275 (the strain that Fauci was worried about a month ago). Reinfections are occurring with XBB which is worrisome since it hints that vaccinations and prior infections may not be providing adequate levels of immunity. Singapore reports 11.7K cases on Tuesday, 10/11/22, the peak for the new infection wave thus far. You know the drill. Tomorrow's cases, which will be known on Thursday morning, will tell the story for Singapore's new XBB infection wave. Daily new cases need to be below 11.7K tomorrow to hint that the infection wave is peaking. If cases come in over 11.7K tomorrow, Singapore descends further into the covid quagmire. It will be joyous if Singapore's cases can come in below 11.7K for tomorrow.

The daily cases are starting to line-out sideways which is a good thing since you have to go sideways before you start going down. France's peak day is 95K cases last Tuesday so tomorrow's number, that will be known Thursday, tells the story going forward. French covid deaths are also trying to level-out at about 51 bodies per day. Italy reports 39K cases for Saturday and the 7-day MA is at 41K cases per day same deal as France. Italy's peak in daily new cases thus far is 66K so tomorrow's number needs to be below to provide hope that the infection wave is peaking in central Europe and will not spread elsewhere.

The US moves towards the covid endemic phase but needs central Europe, Singapore, Taiwan and China to cooperate and snuff-out their outbreaks. The 7-day MA for US daily case is down to 26K cases per day. That is only about 500 China Virus cases per US state each day based on a simple average. The covid monster is losing its punch. US active cases (bell-curve) drop to 1.59 million a 1.5-handle. In 10 weeks, US active cases drop from 4.1 million to 1.6 million a -61% decrease. The US COVID-19 hospitalizations, as per the CDC, drop from 40K to 20K (-50%) in the same period (even lower since the data is days behind).
Note Added Monday Morning, 10/17/22, at 11:00 AM EST: European officials are investigating potential improprieties with the COVID-19 vaccine deals between the European Commission and Pfizer. At a European Parliament meeting on 10/10/22, Pfizer representative Janine Small admits that Pfizer never tested the COVID-19 vaccines for stopping the transmission of virus. This is huge news. Small says, "We had to really move at the speed of science to understand what is taking place in the market." In other words, the vaccines were being rushed-through and there was no time for testing on transmissibility. She responded to a question from Dutch Minister Rob Roos who is unhappy that he and the Netherlands leadership were telling citizens to get vaccinated to stop the spread of virus and if they did not they were "anti-social." The Dutch leaders urged folks to take the jabs to "protect yourself and others." Roos complains that this was "complete nonsense" feeling they were misled. Of course the pro-vaccine liberal media pounces on the story with so-called fact-checker's proclaiming that the vaccines were never required to be tested for transmissibility. Yes, that is correct, but the fact-checker's, no doubt paid by liberal organizations, are trying to change the subject. The problem was that politicians, European officials, Fauci and other medical talking heads on television told everyone to get vaccinated to stop the spread of virus and prevent transmission. Pfizer CEO Bourla said 'the vaccine would stop the virus transmission'. That is the problem. Some of these folks knew they were speaking untruths to the public but in their minds they likely considered themselves performing a noble deed. They are *ssholes that should have told people the vaccines were never tested for transmissibility. Of course they purposely did not because they knew this would decrease the uptake of the shots. It is a world of dishonesty. Everybody has a Poison Heart, as Joey would sing at CBGB's. This Pfizer story will have legs as it further highlights the sick incestuous relationship between liberal politicians, Big Pharma, CDC, NIH, FDA, WHO and European medical officials. No wonder many people have lost confidence and trust in the medical profession during the pandemic. AstraZeneca was the only pharma company that did test their vaccine for protection against transmissibility and let's just say the results were less than stellar. A few months after wide distribution of the covid vaccines, the waning efficacy of the shots was obvious. Perhaps the other Big Pharma names do not bother with transmissibility testing since they know, and knew, the vaccines will not hold up over time. As a side note on two-bit fact-checker organizations, it has already been proven in US courts that people and organizations that represent themselves as fact-checker's are no different than any other journalist reporting information. In other words, the fact-checkers are political hacks paid by their respective tribes. The term 'fact-checker' is a meaningless title.

You have to be kidding! Gain of function research is banned in the United States so how is this possible? And why? The *ssholes know that the current pandemic rages on and they are in the laboratory mixing up a new batch of tragedy? Boston University refutes the story saying the research was not gain of function. They say the Daily Mail story is "false and inaccurate" but do not provide details. They claim the story is sensationalized but do not explain why. The scandal has legs. The NIAID, under Dr Fauci, funds the sick project and claims they were not aware of what is going on at Boston University and learned about the new laboratory-created strain from the media. It makes the Sunday puff piece on Fauci's retirement all the more nauseating. Fauci is sleeping on the job and does not even know what is going on at his organization. It is sick stuff. The Dr Frankenstein mad scientists took a spike protein from the omicron variant and fused it to the original 2020 Wuhan virus strain. The new strain, dubbed Omicron-S, killed 80% of the mice as compared to the original Wuhan strain that killed 100% of the mice. The heinous research was conducted in a Level 3 lab but knowing that sick individuals are playing God with viruses is not a good path forward for humanity.

A drop in the death rate is overdue since daily cases have been trailing lower for 2 months. Two decades of progress in math and reading is destroyed for children. College test scores are the lowest in 30 years. Anxiety and depression is up. The body mass index (BMI) doubled for kids 2 to 19 years old. Drug overdose deaths up. Murders way up. Inflation up. Domestic violence up. Such is America's rigged crony capitalism system taking its final breaths. One of Fauci's buddy's, Dr Hugh Auchincloss was very active in selling stocks creating nice profits. The traditional-style, protein-based, Novavax vaccine receives emergency approval for use as a booster. NVAX stock drops -4% despite the good news. Looking at Europe first, France reports 88K daily new cases for Tuesday. It is great news that it is lower than the peak high on the prior Tuesday at 95K cases. It is an elevated number and of course something lower would have been nice but the 88K cases indicate that France's infection wave of daily cases is peaking with the top occurring one week ago. The 7-day MA for France's daily new cases is flatlining at 54K cases per day. Note Added Thursday Morning, 10/20/22, at 5:00 AM EST: Will Singapore and Asia deliver good news this morning like Europe? Damn it. The world's 510K cases for Tuesday was a heads-up that covid trouble lingers somewhere and it is in Singapore reporting 11.9K daily new cases exceeding the 11.7K cases on the prior Tuesday which was the previous peak in daily cases. The 7-day MA is trying to flatten-out at 8.4K cases per day. The 11.9K cases is higher than the prior peak but only marginally so some optimism can be gleamed from the data. Tuesday, 10/18/22, two days ago, is likely the peak in daily new cases for Singapore but it will not be known for sure until next Tuesday's cases, 10/25/22, are reported on 10/27/22. So the news could have been far worse. The worry was that Singapore would report 15K, 25K or more cases for Tuesday so in this context the 11.9K cases are a welcome sight. The news is good for the world with Europe likely exiting trouble without infecting additional nations and Singapore may be peaking with daily cases right now in real-time. China, the CCP leadership, is coming to grips with the destruction that the zero-covid policy is doing to the economy and Chinese people and is considering reducing the quarantine days. These are incremental ideas that will not make much difference. The zero-covid pain will continue in China, the birthplace of the heinous COVID-19 virus, as the rest of the world moves forward beyond the pandemic. Note Added Thursday Morning, 10/20/22, at 6:30 AM EST: The controversy around adding the COVID-19 shots to the childhood vaccination schedule blows sky-high. The democrat-controlled media (CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, NPR, New York Times, Washington Post, etc...) attacks the republican-run media (Fox News, Newsmax, OANN, AM talk radio, Ney York Post, etc...), especially targeting Fox News host Tucker Carlson, for saying that the CDC will 'mandate' vaccines for children to attend school. The story has become convoluted in recent days with lots of misinformation flowing from both sides. The democrat tribe is stressing the point that the CDC does not mandate vaccines; they only recommend the shots. The states and local jurisdictions decide to follow and implement the recommendations. That is true but it is a cute argument since most people understand that the medical hierarchy is all grouped under one umbrella (Biden administration, federal and state government, CDC, NIH, FDA, Big Pharma, AMA) and when the term vaccine mandate is mentioned it represents this collective group of control freaks. In addition, the state typically places blinders over their eyes and follows the CDC advice so who is kidding who? In this election season, both dirtbag tribes are playing games and the democrats are simply trying to make some hay trying to drum up the base to increase voter turnout on 11/8/22. Any hope that the CDC would not add the COVID-19 vaccine to the recommended childhood vaccination schedule is flushed down the crony capitalism toilet. The CDC Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (AICP) votes unanimously 15-0 to add the covid vaccine to the childhood schedule. It is sickening but these are the so-called experts. Let's take a look at the numbers. 1,800 children under 18 years old have died from COVID-19 and these unlucky kids had other health problems and/or suffered from childhood obesity. There are 73 million young folks under 18 years old in America so 0.000025, or 0.003%, have died from covid which is only 1 in every 40,000 kids. Picture an American football stadium filled with kids under 18 years old. One unlucky child, that is already ill with cancer, other diseases, or is obese, is plucked from the humongous crowd to die from covid. The stadium is emptied and 40K new kids are brought in and one is plucked from that capacity crowd to die of covid. You get the picture. Covid mortality is not an issue for kids. At the same time, however, the risk of myocarditis after vaccination is higher than the covid mortality rate. 15 yes-men and yes-women, however, touting Big Pharma's praises, vote for the shots. Go figure. The Whitehouse has already committed to buying booster shots so was the fix already in? The AICP decision is now in Director Walensky's hands, and HHS, for the final final approval today. Is there a chance, that Rochelle's rubber stamp, remains in the neutral camp? Probably not since the system is one big corrupt mess. The CDC says state laws will dictate the vaccination requirements for children in schools. Florida has already said it would not follow any vaccine mandates for schoolchildren. There will likely be many more states that join Florida's lead. Walensky would be wise to not approve the addition of the COVID-19 vaccination to the childhood schedule. What is wrong with delaying the decision? That can be a temporary compromise. Kids have been in school coughing, sneezing, spitting, picking their noses, picking elsewhere, eating each other's food, and physically interacting with one another and adults for nearly 2 months, and yet the US wave 7 continues lower (cases dropping to near endemic levels). People need to incorporate common sense into their thinking and judgements so America can get back on track.
Note Added Thursday Morning, 10/20/22, at 7:00 AM EST: Dr Aseem Malhotra, a cardiologist and author, makes a chilling announcement on Freeman Reports and Twitter; "It is my duty and responsibility as a consultant cardiologist and public health campaigner, to urgently inform doctors, patients and members of the public, that the covid mRNA vaccine has likely played a significant role of being a primary cause of unexpected cardiac arrests, heart attacks, strokes, cardiac arrhythmia's and heart failure since 2021 until proven otherwise." Wow. That chilling statement gains worldwide attention and goes viral on social internet platforms. Malhotra says the mRNA vaccine should never have been rolled out and should be halted until a detailed independent and external review of the vaccine occurs.
Note Added Thursday Morning, 10/20/22, at 8:00 AM EST: Dr Jha says the booster shots (four or five total mRNA jabs in people's bodies) will bring COVID-19 deaths to zero. Come on, dude, that's stupid talk and you know it. Jha, Biden, Fauci, Walensky and the gang cannot lower the US COVID-19 death rate all year long but if everyone gets a booster shot the deaths will disappear. It is fantasy talk. US deaths are trending lower and should make substantive progress lower over the coming days and couple weeks since deaths lag cases. Deaths will be in retreat going forward no thanks to the Biden administration, covid task force and CDC. Each day, America's two dirtbag political tribes battle over jerrymandered geography and nonsense topics that common folks do not care about while hundreds of Americans are placed into covid coffins. Is this an advanced society?
Note Added Friday Morning, 10/21/22, at 3:00 AM EST: The world reports 484K daily new cases for Wednesday it is nice to see a number under 5 hundo. The 7-day MA for the world's daily cases is at 407K cases per day. France reports 63K cases for Wednesday and the 7-day is at 53K cases per day now rolling over to the downside great news. The 7-day MA was at 57K cases per day a week ago. The daily cases on Tuesday, 10/25/22, will serve as confirmation that France's daily new cases curve has flattened, rolled-over, and is now heading lower as the infection wave starts to diminish. The rate of increase in France's active covid cases is decreasing as the curve starts to flatten. The active cases should begin rolling over lower any day forward and start to form the coveted bell shape. 106 French die from China Virus on Wednesday. The death rate will continue ramping higher for a couple weeks before it tops out. The news is good for Europe. Everything said for France goes for Italy. Germany's 7-day MA for daily new cases drops to 73K cases per day. The world's cases will drop if Germany and Taiwan cooperate and they are. Over 220 Germans are dying per day from covid this week but these depressing numbers should top-out in the days ahead and then help decrease the global death rate. Singapore reports 88K cases for Wednesday and the 7-day MA is trying to flatten-out at 8.2K cases per day. There is hope that Singapore's infection wave is peaking but this cannot be confirmed until the Tuesday daily cases are known next Thursday. Taiwan's daily new cases are trending lower at 41K per day a welcome sight since it will hep the world's numbers. Taiwan's active cases chart takes its first incremental step lower at 881K great news since the curve needs to flatten and then fall to form the bell shape and prove that the virus is defeated. China remains a zero-covid disaster zone. 13 million Chinese folks are locked down in Xian.
Note Added Friday Morning, 10/21/22, at 4:00 AM EST: Japan shows a bump in infections over the last couple weeks and the daily cases for Thursday, known tomorrow, will dictate if the cases constitute a new wave. Is the XBB bug making its presence known in Japan? Hong Kong is in the same boat with a mini-pop in cases and it is confirmed that XBB is in play there. Hong Kong's Thursday cases will also dictate its path forward. The expectation is that both mini-bumps in daily cases should roll back over to the downside. Singapore is key since it is the poster child for BA210 (XBB). The covid data and charts are looking good for Mother Earth and the path from pandemic to endemic is coming into clearer view each day. It's about time.
Note Added Friday Morning, 10/21/22, at 4:30 AM EST: THE UNITED STATES CROSSES THE 99 MILLION TOTAL COVID-19 INFECTIONS MILESTONE. That is a lot of Americans almost one-third of the 330 million population. in reality, and according to recent estimates by scientific sources, it is likely that about 80% of Americans have contracted covid over the last 34 months. Over 1.92 million Americans are dead from China Virus. The US reports 37K daily new cases for hump day a great number since the Wednesday cases have ran very high for wave 7. The 7-day MA is down to 31K cases per day trying to establish a presence in the 20K's per day. US active cases are down to 1.55 million not decreasing at as fast a rate which will have to be monitored. The New England states report an increase in covid infections in recent days. Damn. New Hampshire reports almost 600 daily new cases so a new infection wave is beginning. It is a disappointing sight. Maine's daily new cases are also starting to trend higher into a new infection wave but case numbers remain small. Vermont, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania are fine with daily cases steady at low numbers. New Hampshire and Maine will have to be added to the bad US state list that had gone completely away over the last month. Some experts say the infections in the northeast are a sign of the winter wave approaching. That is not the case as yet. It is odd that the cases in New Jersey and New York are not jumping higher because this is where you would first expect to see trouble as occurred for wave 7. Canada's cases remain small numbers but are moving incrementally higher for the last 3 weeks so the Canucks may be the culprit increasing the infections in Maine and New Hampshire that now serve as two poster boys for the United States going forward. In Vermont, democrat David Zuckerman, running for lieutenant governor, tests positive for COVID-19. Campaign events are on temporary hold. Zuckerman's wife tested positive for the virus 2 days prior. Zuckerman is multiple vaccinated and boosted so he touts the democrat line proclaiming that his symptoms are mild. Covid is sneaking around in the bushes in the northeastern states. Indiana Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch tests positive for China Virus. Covid likes lieutenant governors.
Note Added Friday Morning, 10/21/22, at 5:00 AM EST: The CDC posts a message about the addition of the COVID-19 vaccine to the 2023 childhood vaccination schedule. The statement emphasizes that the "school-entry vaccination requirements are determined by state or local jurisdictions." Florida and other states plan to ignore the CDC's recommendation for childhood COVID-19 vaccines. The CDC should realize that such edicts only serve to further destroy their remaining loin cloth of credibility. US HHS Secretary Becerra wants the focus to remain on vaccinating children. Why?! As explained above with the data, COVID-19 is not a threat to youngsters and the deaths in the under 18 age group come with comorbidities, other serious illnesses and/or childhood obesity. Are you people really that stupid, and more correctly, corrupt? Yes, they are. The covid vaccine is also added to the Vaccines for Children program, funded by the US government, that offers free shots to disadvantaged children that cannot afford to pay or are uninsured. The childhood vaccination drama has legs and will continue to fester going forward. The government's goal is to maintain liability protection for Big Pharma's vaccines into 2023 which creates a lingering stink around the vaccination decisions. The CDC recommendation does not incorporate common sense into the process and only serves to further divide the United States.
Note Added Friday Morning, 10/21/22, at 6:00 AM EST: A juror tests positive for covid in the trial of the Oath Keepers group that was involved in the 1/6/21 Capitol Hill Riot. The juror is replaced and the judge asks everyone in the courtroom to wear masks. The proceedings continue. America is learning to live with covid.
