SPX S&P 500 Daily Chart; Keystone's Eclipse Indicator

Keystone's Eclipse Indicator is always an interesting esoteric tool to watch. Around eclipses, humans behave oddly, metaphysically-speaking, for unknown reasons. Perhaps in a few decades the metaphysically code will be cracked. This indicator is fun to check now and then in relation to stock market tops.

Take when the solar and/or lunar eclipse dates occur and average the two dates that are near each other to get a centerpoint, then go one month before and one month after that centerpoint to project a potential major top in the stock market give or take 2 weeks from that date. Humorously, that is likely clear as mud for those of you that are mathematically-challenged. The entire period is shown by the blue boxes with the most likely periods for a potential significant stock market top shown by the blue circles.

Early in the year, the 1/7/18 date is a target for a potential important market top, give or take a couple weeks and the top occurs on 1/26/18 about two weeks after 1/7. Usually if the downside energy is used-up in the first window, the second window holds less clout. The next window for a potential major top was 3/7/18 give or take a couple weeks and a top actually occurs late February and only a few days past the 3/7 date. Both windows led to significant drops in the stock market.

We are currently in another overall eclipse box from mid-June thru mid-September which is next week. The first more pin-pointed window for a potential stock market top is 6/27/18 give or take a couple weeks and a top does occur in mid-June-ish. Generally, however, the top results in only about a 70 or 80 handle pull back so nothing that is big time.

Currently, a target date of 8/27/18 is in play give or take a couple weeks and interestingly, markets topped last Wednesday, on 8/29/18, almost to the day of the projection. Since eclipse dates are known far in advance, Keystone projected the 8/27/18 date last year. It will be interesting to see how things pan out going forward and if a large pullback occurs a la earlier in the year. The exact window for the potential major top, as per the eclipse indicator, is from 8/13 to 9/10. The eclipse indicator is always interesting to watch. This information is for educational and entertainment purposes only. Do not invest based on anything you read or view here.
