VIX Volatility 1-Minute Chart; VIX Prints 9-Handle; VIX Flash Crash -16% then Flash Spike Recovery
The gremlins are making mischief in markets. At the Federal Reserve rate decision exactly at 2 PM EST, the VIX flash crashes from 11.80 to 9.97, printing a 9-handle, then immediately flash spikes back to 11.75 all in seconds. Obviously, it is the battle of the algorithms. Watch your wallet. Flash crashes and flash spikes are occurring all around you. The exchanges keep sweeping them under the rug but the lump in the carpet is becoming more noticeable. This information is for educational and entertainment purposes only.
