The Dow prints a new all-time high at 16998.70 at 1:26 PM EST. The corks were prematurely popped on the champagne bottles for Dow 17000, however, since price fell 130 pennies short. The Dow prints a new all-time closing high at 16956.07. Two days remain in front of the holiday weekend. Markets are closed Friday for Independence Day. The Monthly Jobs Report is Thursday morning at 8:30 AM. Thus, the Dow may tease a little higher tomorrow but stumble flat overall, remaining under Dow 17K, waiting for the jobs number. This sets up an epic bounce or die decision. After the jobs number, equities will either take a euphoric ride higher into the weekend with the Dow exploding above 17K to a back drop of fireworks, or, a humiliating ride lower saying goodbye to the 17K level for perhaps years ahead.
Price may favor the 16963-16985 sideways channel during Wednesday's trade moving into the Thursday morning jobs number. Those two S/R levels serve as a gauge to determine which side is winning tomorrow. This information is for educational and entertainment purposes only.
